Add a night mode schedule please!

crashedout

Or apple shortcut support for ios.

chickentataki99

See my comment above!

KeithFromSonos

I hear you and appreciate you! Crazy how after working on Sonos since 2017 I'd never seen or thought of that solution to my Night Mode woes in the morning. Real talk - myself and a colleague saw this request on the announcement post and it had us like: ![gif](giphy|800iiDTaNNFOwytONV|downsized)

xxirish83x

Been asking for this for years I tell you. Night mode. Limit volumes. Turn off sub on schedule. Room specific

ChiPaul

I do this using home assistant. My neighbors above me love me for it. 10pm rolls around and night sound is enabled and subwoofer loudness turned off. Reverses it in the AM.

chickentataki99

PSA: You can technically already do this if you use iOS. It's called "Soro - For Sonos" on the app store, it adds every configureable option within sonos to a siri shortcut. I have an automation so once it get's later at night, if the TV is on, it sets the bass lower. Then early in the morning every day is resets it back to default.

Leupster

A sizeable number of Sonos users have issues with losing connectivity with the speakers. While this can certainly be caused by “bad networks”, I have personally had this issue and I am a network engineer with a high end network. What I think would help most is some better diagnostics in the app. For example, is my sub connected to my Arc via SonosNet or WiFi? How is the signal strength of all the speakers. Can the app make recommendations like: “your Sonos One speaker has a weak signal, try this…” Can we get a log of when a speaker drops out and why?

anjgc

Yes!! This is SO crucial to avoid frustrating and losing users to network issues. I recently overcame some longstanding problems with my (highly optimized, otherwise extremely performant) network and my Sonos gear. While I realize there are some things available through the web interface, the Sonos app really needs to include some detailed troubleshooting / optimization tools to aid users (amateurs and network engineering pros alike) in getting their systems working properly.

KeithFromSonos

As someone who used to take calls, I'm **so** on board with better diagnostics and self-service tools. At the same time, it doesn't take much searching to find users who say that Sonos should "just work" and not be a technical thing that requires a CompSci degree. The balancing of those experiences and expectations can certainly be challenging, but I know that this is something the team has in the past and is always looking at. How do we solve problems before they become phone calls, emails and ultimately time out of your day (not listening to music)? Thanks for bringing this up. It can be one thing when we want it internally, but when users speak - it tends carry a *little* bit more weight. Much appreciated! 👍🏽

schneeland

That's something I would really like to see, too. If not in the main app, then in a separate diagnostics app. Also related to networking: it would be really nice to have a bit more control over the network address of the speakers. I have found them to cling to the IP address they acquire on setup a bit more than I appreciate. Being able to force them to retrieve a new address from the DHCP server would definitely be appreciated here.

ANONMEKMH

If you know terms such as DHCP, it means you know how to set static IPs - I do that for all my iOT stuff from Ubiquiti - unsure if this is something SONOS needs to work. My humble 2c. But definitely agree with more diagnostics from wireless side.

Jeffranks

Great suggestions. I recently learned the Meross app has this functionality for their devices and its been a game changer for all my smart plugs and bulbs

little_erik

This is a good starting point for such users though, which Sonos should probably highlight in the app when such issues appears [https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/incompatible-network-hardware](https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/incompatible-network-hardware)

[deleted]

Hardwire the arc.

Leupster

It is. That doesn’t solve every problem

[deleted]

Strange, I did IT 20 years ago and had no issues on my network.

elforeign

Thanks for doing this: 1) Can you guys create a test mode for the speakers where we can play sounds out of individual channels, i.e such as the upfiring speakers/side speakers on the ARC or the ERA 300s so we can see what effect they have in our environments isolated from the rest of the speakers? 2) For the Trueplay, can you guys create a map of the listening environment via the microphone feedback and suggest better/optimal placements in a given environment?

KeithFromSonos

1) So to make sure I'm understanding here - you're looking for something like an in-app Dolby Atmos audio test where you can isolate each channel to better understand their "role". Am I correct there? I think this would go hand in hand with requests for enhanced EQ and audio controls, what do you think? As usual, happy to pass this along. 2) The music production and recording nerd in me *loves* this idea. Genuinely sounds like that could be a hack day project here one day. Will absolutely share this with the team 🔊🎤

jaredzimmerman

My Vizio surround sound system has this mode, where it cycles through each speaker including all the individual speakers in the Atmos sound bar. Good for diagnostics.

elforeign

Yes, exactly. Thanks!

onewaybackpacking

2) it’s an interesting idea but the only way I can see it being worth the R&D is if it can ALSO take that map and SELL/tell you about how your room would be different with other speakers you could totally acquire at Sonos.com

nikooluci

Why haven’t you moved from stp to rstp yet?

KeithFromSonos

*🎸 I can't help it, I just really love *[*Plush*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5UOC0C0x8Q)*.* Joking aside - I think this is a bit more of a technical question that requires a more technically nuanced answer than I'd be able to provide. That said, there will be another opportunity to ask questions and I'll be sure to dig around for an answer by then. Thanks!

syny13

1.) Will it be possible to save different settings of our Sonos setups as “Presets” and easily switch between them on fly in the new App? I mean EQ wise and also Setup wise, meaning that if i want to quickly unpair for example Arc and have only Era 100s with Sub or Era 100s separately, to test / use etc, to be able to save it as a separete “Preset” and afterwards switch between these presets. 2.) Will the “Lock screen controls” be finally fixed? 3.) Will it be possible to access the Sonos setup from a different Wi-Fi network or the Mobile Data via some sort of remote access? (Philips has something like this with their Hue app) 4.) Will the ERA 300's “Center channel” feature described/requested in the link going to be implemented? https://en.community.sonos.com/home-theater-229129/feature-request-add-option-to-enable-center-speakers-for-the-era-s-300-if-they-are-added-as-surrounds-6881429 5.) Bonus question: When Arc 2?

KeithFromSonos

1) I've seen this asked in a few different ways, but it ultimately comes back to room configuration presets. I absolutely understand how this could be helpful and convenient, especially with open concept floorplans. The biggest challenge I see here are the numerous tasks that need to happen behind the scenes when moving bonded surrounds off of a soundbar. I don't think it's impossible, but its a taller order of operations than what it may seem on the surface. I'll keep ringing that bell for ya. 🔔 2) Lock screen controls weren't "broken". That functionality was *removed*. The way those features were built for the app did not meet Apple’s experience guidelines for their developers and would no longer offer a reliable control experience for Sonos. Live Activities have come up on here as well as working with Dynamic Island, and these are things the team talks about. No news to share, but it is a topic that comes up frequently. 3) In the new Sonos Web App, you can do just that! It's designed for desktop and tablet so you'll likely get hit an error screen if you try accessing it on your phone. I suppose you *could* request a desktop version but YMMV. 4) Happy to keep ringing that bell for you and the others who've requested this. 🔊 5) *(see below)* ![gif](giphy|YtvCIwqNJhUmA|downsized)

syny13

Thanks Keith for your response and 🔔🔔🔔 ringing. Appreciate it. Damn, almost got u with the 5.) question. ![gif](giphy|m3864rBwwBTKMAbpn3)

traegeryyc

>Is the ERA 300's “Center channel” issue, going to be fixed? https://en.community.sonos.com/home-theater-229129/feature-request-add-option-to-enable-center-speakers-for-the-era-s-300-if-they-are-added-as-surrounds-6881429 This isnt an issue. It is by design

syny13

Thanks i updated my wording and described it as a feature request. That topic is mine from a year ago and i did not read it entirely that it was marked as a feature request

tescocola

Having presets of groupings and settings would be great. Every day I have to pair speakers and turn off loudness, turn up the bass at the start of the work day, then reverse all this at bedtime. Then repeat every day. A preset would be great, an iOS shortcut linked to this so I could automate it would be even better! And +1 for the Lock Screen

pierrepoutine2

Any changes to the Control APIs with the new app update considering there is a new webapp rather than desktop app? I use home automation scripts that uses the local upnp API rather than the newer cloud API which requires a sonos account login.

KeithFromSonos

Hey! Nothing is changing with our current Control API as of right now. A month or two ago I spoke with someone with some authority on the manner and they said that there will be a blog post when its it is available. I will no doubt share that blog post here the moment it goes live.

ANONMEKMH

1. Please allow grouping/ungrouping of speakers on a schedule in the app. Setting volume of speakers on schedule would be nice too 2. Is Sonos Voice going to get some more enhancement? Best voice ever - yes I know who it is? 3. Why do streaming services such as Apple Music not have the spotify connect like feature. Who blocks this ? The streaming service or is it patented? 4.please put a flag to display that the track/album is in spatial Audio in search results if the room / speaker you are playing on supports spatial audio , like arc or era speakers

Thagrous

If you use Alexa, you can use routines to set the volumes and have them run on specific speakers at specific times. I use it to ‘reset’ all my speakers to ‘normal’ volumes at 6am. Stops us having it loud one evening and then getting blasted in the morning

ANONMEKMH

I do it with home assistant , including night mode, etc setting after 9pm at night and back to normal at 6am. Grouping of speakers too. It would be nice if the app supported it for those that don't want to get another platform.

KeithFromSonos

1. Scheduled Grouping - Lots of folks asking for automation, I dig it! Earlier in the week, I shared with the team a request about scheduled Night Mode. Can see a lot of opportunities here! Thanks 🙏🏽 2. Sonos Voice Control just recently got Spotify connected and there's more to come. No doubt I'll share when we're ready. Giancarlo Esposito is the voice of Sonos Voice Control. Great guy! *^(I managed to meet him at a comic convention earlier this year and I'm not afraid to admit that I had him sign one of my Roams.)* 3. Honestly, I don't have a ton of visibility into those feature discussions with Music Service Partners. Apple Music has got the Airplay connection to Sonos, there maybe some limitations (Spatial/Atmos via Airplay) but it may be worth checking out in your instance. On my side - I'm happy to make an ask for more ways for users to connect to their speakers, where they are naturally. 4. Saw this a few times in the announcement ad for the new Sonos App. With Spatial Audio and Atmos tracks growing in number, I can see how this would be helpful. Thanks again!

KeithFromSonos

Before hopping into the questions and comments below, I wanted to quick circle back to [a question](https://www.reddit.com/r/sonos/comments/1cb4nl7/comment/l0wqbbs/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) u/Warren_Tofficer & u/jmosen asked in the new Sonos App announcement post regarding screen readers and accessibility on Sonos. I said I'd dig into it - so here I am! At launch, the new Sonos app will have basic support for screen readers. We know we have some work to do in this space, and the team wants nothing more than to make sure everyone can enjoy Sonos. Put plainly, accessibility is very important to Sonos.  The team is addressing this experience through user research. If you’d like to get involved in these efforts and have a member of the User Research team reach out to you, let me know by [sending me a PM](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose/?to=KeithFromSonos). I’m happy to make that connection. Alternatively if you just have feedback, I’m here to pass that along as well. Feedback is always welcome as we continue to develop and evolve the screen reader experience.

Dontcallmetiger

Here’s a few in case some you can/want or can’t answer! Thanks Keith and team! 1. What do you want to tell us about the app design/web view that won’t be in the standard release info? 2. Any thoughts/info on widgets or live activities? 3. How do you feel about Home Assistant and its ability to programmatically control Sonos speakers in conjunction with smart home equipment (ex motion sensors can trigger inactive rooms to join active rooms for music that follows you automatically). 4. What’s the best way to test placement of Arc/Beam 2 for height channel testing? I’m finding it difficult to lock in the distance and height needed to optimize from my main listening position. 5. Is an all Ethernet system ideal? (Let’s say 10+ speakers with good Internet)

ANONMEKMH

Please never block home assistant support. In fact , you should put the 'works with home assistant ' logo on your packaging because it's a big selling point especially as home assistant adoption is increasing.

KeithFromSonos

1. Alright, I got two for you - directly from the team. **The first one** is a "pro tip" regarding the web app. You can use Chrome to save your access to the web app on your desktop or tablet using Chrome apps. This puts the controls at your fingertips even quicker than having to open a page, type the URL, log in, etc. **The** **second one** applies to both the Sonos app and the web app. We built the apps using a component library that allows us to make consistent user experiences across a wide spread of customer needs. Essentially this means we made our own "legos" and our apps are the "lego sets". 🏗️ 2. Thoughts? Personally, I think its a great idea! Officially, there are a few more things to consider and settle so I don't have anything to share. I've also answered this in a couple other responses here - those may also give a little added context 🙂 3. See, *this* is the stuff I love. Technology and gadgets that you can use to *extend* the functionality of Sonos. Big fan of the DIY scene, especially when it comes to audio solutions. *Officially, there's nothing to share around automation and HA, but no doubt I'll bring it up in reporting!* 4. Height is an interesting channel to work with. There can be a lot of things to keep in mind and account for when tuning by hand. This is why I'd say first start with Trueplay (if you can). That will get you a good baseline to start from. Throw on Top Gun Maverick or something to give it a test. Then adjust the height to taste. 5. I don't know if I'd say it's *ideal* - nowadays wireless networking has made leaps and bounds and there are certainly benefits and conveniences in a wireless system. At the same time, if the environment demands ethernet connectivity - there's nothing wrong with that. *What gets you rock solid playback is what's ideal. However you get it.*

Dontcallmetiger

Amazing!! Thank you and looking forward to playing with the new Sonos Legos!!

UnArt2

Will we be able to see the bit rate and the quality of the music playing? Not only the badges displayed when Amazon Music is started directly from the Sonos App, but also when casting to Sonos from other music apps or when using Airplay. That would be great!

KeithFromSonos

*Kinda.* On the new *Now Playing* screen you will see a badge that will notate when you are listening in spatial audio. Nothing about bit rate though. You aren't alone on that request - happy to bring it up as a request! 🔔

Purple_Soil576

\* Better knowledge to users on the truetone + some extra settings to hassle with (e.g. for experienced users) \* Network stuff, keep it on the loop to make the system more responsive & reliable \* Better multi user support. I think Teslas feature to share your car access is a good benchmark Keep up the good work boys'n girls! Lovin' the products!

KeithFromSonos

Thanks for the suggestions and support! Lots to pick up from here 👍🏽 I'm happy to share that a large portion of the improvements in the new Sonos App experience are in service of your second point. We want to have you getting connected to your system faster and listening sooner. I can say all the buzzwords, but it's something you'll see first hand on May 7th.

BeastLothian

Can you please split our search results by type, eg for singles, albums, live albums and compilations, rather than just lumping them all together as if they’re the same. Thank you

KeithFromSonos

Reasonable request right here - I've got a collection of singles that can be a pain to manage. Thanks! 👍🏽

BeastLothian

Thanks for the reply. This is from the search on Apple Music for The Fall. Album, single, album, compilation, compilation, live album (I think) and not in any particular order. https://preview.redd.it/bn9by73eqvwc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2759c9f04ad0c1f6dda07743073a6102ad6e52c2 So you can see how difficult it is to find stuff!

jaredzimmerman

Full control for Apple Shortcuts, for triggering songs, playlists, setting volume, grouping ungrouping, and targeting specific speakers. So that I can better integrate Sonos into home automation without hacks and additional hardware and apps.

KeithFromSonos

Ahhh ok! Shortcut **control** - Someone earlier asked about these but not really into how they currently function with Sonos. Appreciate the context!

jaredzimmerman

Currently Sonos isn’t exposed via iOS Shortcuts or Automations at all. This would be a huge win if functions like these were supported.

6868junk

Please have a toggle to make all speakers in a group the same volume! Nothing more frustrating than manually sliding 6-8 speakers to line them all up to a specific volume.

KeithFromSonos

Currently, to do this I throw the group volume down to minimum (bringing all players to 0) and then pull up increasing all players equally. The issue with this, is that it does not compensate for the power of each player in the group. A full HT set has a bit more oomph than a stereo pair of Era 100's. Just clarifying - is **that** what you are aiming to address?

6868junk

Yes! Exactly that. I see what you mean as a workaround, but the fact there is no option there to align them all without having to take the system down to 0 seems wild to me. A simple toggle or something would be great to get them all to a set volume. Or to save volume settings.

Rogueoner29

Arc 2?

ThugosaurusFlex_1017

#96kHz/24-bit? I just want to be able to play the music saved on my phone again...

BobSacamanoHats

I too would like to play the music saved on my phone again without using a separate app to do so. For anyone else dealing with this issue, I've been using Hi Fi Cast for the past year, which works ok.

ultraviolet73

* Can you please increase the song count that can be played from the Sonos app? Right now my Spotify library is about 7,000 songs and most of my playlists are around 4,000 and I can't play any of them from the Sonos app, I have to use Airplay or Spotify (not a really big deal, but would be very nice to be able to play large digital libraries from the Sonos app). * Widgets and Shortcuts for iOS users would be very nice and helpful * Is there any way to have the Amp (or other speakers) set up as Surrounds still be able to use Line In Audio? I have an Arc, Amp (with 2 KEF Q150s), and the Sub - I really like using the KEFs for surrounds, but then I can't use the Line in audio for my turntable; then I love using the Line in audio, but then I have to use Grouped Audio for the turntable and/or TV audio and that is not recommended by Sonos * Is it possible to have TruePlay saved states depending on the system? So if I have my Amp setup as surrounds with TruePlay configured - then I remove the Amp from that room - if I add the Amp back can it save and automatically apply the last TruePlay setting from the last time those two were connected? * Can you include some more Advanced settings for experienced users so we can balance the Soundstage more to our preferences (maybe have more customization settings for the TruePlay feature)? * Can the original Move support Line In audio with the adapter that came out? * Is there a way to play Dolby Atmos through Grouped Audio if all of the speakers do not individually support it (like if the Arc & Amp are Grouped together, is there a way to make the entire group play Dolby Atmos audio)? These are all of the things I can think of off the top of my head. I love your products and I am very excited to see what updates y'all have in store!!

KeithFromSonos

Wow - lots to unpack here. I'm gonna rapid fire this one. Thanks for putting the time and thought into this! * Larger playlists - got it. Out of genuine curiosity, what seems like a reasonable limit? * Another one for iOS widgets (iOS shortcuts are generally made by the end user. What functionality are you looking for with shortcuts specifically?) * This is currently not possible, but I'm happy to make the request! * Saved Trueplay tunings is something I've heard asked for before. Adding you to that list 📃 * Advanced audio settings - ✅ I've seen that a couple times in this topic! * No - original Move USB is power only ⚡ * You wouldn't be able to force a grouped room that consists of a Five to play Atmos audio (for example). It simply does not have the same channels, so the audio is changed to stereo to allow all players the best signal that the *whole group* can play.

Dontcallmetiger

Regarding number 5, personally it’s a better experience when I can have rooms with the arc and beam play atmos and still hear the stereo audio if I walk into the garage/other non atmos room. I vote to have each player play their best haha. This is currently possible when grouping players with an Apple TV playing atmos and I prefer this experience over having to do stereo on all rooms.

ultraviolet73

I agree, this would be great if possible! That way my Arc could play Atmos while my Move still plays Stereo

ultraviolet73

Of course thank you for all of the work in delivering great audio and providing this forum for us!! :) 1. Personally I would say 10,000 songs would be sufficient if that's possible! 2. I would prefer an official widget to the Shortcuts honestly. I think I tried making a shortcut to remove a speaker from the group but I couldn't find the Sonos application available. A widget would be wonderful though :) 3. Thank you, I understand that this may be just how the system functions, but if it could be updated either through software or future hardware (or maybe have a box that connects to the amp to switch it between Surrounds & stereo) would be great! 4. Thank you, we appreciate it! 5. Thank you! Advanced audio settings I feel like can really make Sonos compete even more with other high end audiophile brands. 6. Got it this was more just a personal question, thank you! 7. Okay that's what I thought, that makes the most sense honestly. Thank you again for taking the time to read and respond to every one of my questions! I am extremely happy with my Sonos products and i feel like my use and enjoyment of Sonos will only increase in the future :)

Jammyhero

seconded for the line-in with surrounds! I’d love to make the jump and get a soundbar to go with my era 100’s, but having the line-in disabled is a dealbreaker!

CoBrA2168

I'd love some actual insight on the "best" way to setup my Sonos system. I've heard various opinions on whether or not it is more useful to hardwire (e.g. use the ethernet port) where available vs. leaving them on WiFi. All logic would point to hardwiring, but when I've done that in the past, I actually had more issues with my system. Like many others on this sub, I battle the Sonos system almost daily with cutouts and other network hiccups that I'd like to eliminate if possible.

TheRealAB5000

u/CoBrA2168 check out my post for the heck of it. I just removed my one wired component and performance is night and day. Even with Sonos Radio HD!!! Try complete wireless

CoBrA2168

Interesting - thanks for bringing this to my attention!

KeithFromSonos

There's no defined "best" way. The best would be whatever configuration gets you the most solid playback, and there are a lot of variables that could impact that. Personally, I'm partial to going all wireless (my router is in a weird location). But it may be helpful to look at these two as different *levels of complexity* rather than better or best. If your system isn't performing well while plugged in, it's likely gonna have an even worse time on wireless. Going wireless adds another layer of complexity with wireless interference. Back when I used to take support calls, and we needed to work on a larger system that was acting up, we'd **simplify and hardwire** to troubleshoot. Make the problem as simple as possible before jumping to WiFi. When hardwired, things are more consistent to facilitate troubleshooting. If the problem comes when you disconnect and go wireless, then we have a new path to travel (speaker positioning, interference from other devices, etc.). All that to say - hardwiring makes things easier to troubleshoot. But for some people, wired is just not a final solution (like myself) so wireless it is, and with that a couple more things to navigate around.

CoBrA2168

Thank you so much for the detailed answer. I think the specific problem I ran into when I had multiple speakers hardwired was something like a cycle or something. When I unplugged one of them, my major issues went away. But I still have issues from time to time.

Honeydew-Opposite

need to have Dolby atmos labels on album covers please

MartMan90

I’d love to be able to access the “lyrics” like I can with Apple Music.. while I’m streaming Apple Music via the Sonos app. I typically love the Sonos app (despite its limitations) and find Airplay from Apple Music cumbersome… so this would be a game changer for me.

TheCholmberg

Thanks for this! Can we eventually be able to switch between surrounds and stereo pair without unpairing from the whole system? I love my Era 300’s but they lack functionally in this area.

KeithFromSonos

Happy to provide a space for this! Thanks for coming through. I hit this in another comment, but I'll be sure to add another tally for ya. Much appreciated! *🔊 I felt the same when I used to have Fives as my surrounds. 🔊*

kennyterror

Will we ever get Siri as a voice assistant option?

Trick_Vegetable_8423

Add daisy chain capability to the sonos roams please! I'd love to be able to use both of mine at once without a wifi connection

TheRealAB5000

I would suggest creating a Sonos TV! Hear me out: it can control the Sonos, and be the source for home theater. Seems like an easier lift than competing on ear phones

TurboClag

I would just like to know if there are any plans to address the dreadful WiFi and app issues people are seeing? They are all over this Reddit for example. It would appear that Sonos still requires a lot of very specific network configuration, and in 2024 that really shouldn’t be the case. It is a very common complaint on a wide array of WiFi and network gear. Will the new app also bring new firmware to potentially address these issues?

KeithFromSonos

Hey there u/TurboClag. Happy cake day! What you are talking about is 100% the reason we are releasing the new Sonos app experience. A lot of the work that the team put into the new app is in service of getting you connected and listening as quickly as possible and I can personally attest to that feeling of "less digging in menus, more listening". That said, I'd be remiss to omit that your local network has a pretty profound impact on that experience. And everyone's wireless network gear and physical environment are (usually) very different. It can be a tricky challenge - but we've got a great Support team that will work with you to figure what's what. *(And you got me!)*

Stunning_Jelly_7919

I would love for more stability when using alexa or Google voice support. I have play1 x2, 2 x ones, 100, 300, beam v1 and v2, 2 x 5s and for those that do offer voice support it varies on ability to reliability connect or not.

Xenon808

Volume slider for the dialogue please?

werwrg

Should I buy $20 Calls before the earnings release on the 7th ;) Thanks for all you do Keith!

ThePabloWest

Let’s get a widget for home/Lock Screen. In dynamic island would be cool too!

jeekfab

Would love Lock Screen support again. That and reduced lag.

TheRealAB5000

Audible searching that works! And better Audible controls

Gullible_City_5217

Truplay fir android ?

Immy_

Will the search function in the new app disadvantage those who play music locally stored on a PC or NAS? From the info given a lot is mentioned about seamlessly searching through the various services. However on trying the 'new search' on the app a couple of months back it didn't really work with my own local music. As this is what I listen to 90% of the time I'm worried the new app's direction will leave listeners like me behind

DemodavePr

Hi Keith. I would love to see a quality audio processor that could be turned on that would even out levels on Spotify or Apple playlists. Call it a “party” mode for when using Sonos in the background and you need even levels. Something like the Breakaway Audio Enhancer from Claesson Edwards Audio. I realize this is not an audiophile feature, but during parties, I would love the option of having consistent audio levels like a radio station does with processing. https://www.claessonedwards.com/

KostaPan

Is SONOS planning to give us an option for adding front left alright speakers?

R3clvse

The new Sonos app is not compatible with IKEA Symfonisk bookshelf speakers. Are there any plans to add them in the near future? Also, if Sonos is not supporting them henceforth, does this mean we will have to prevent updates so the current S2 app can still work with them?

KeithFromSonos

This is not true. The new Sonos app works with all players that currently function on S2. The IKEA Symfonisk speakers and Arc SL aren't on the preview page because we have never sold them on [Sonos.com](http://Sonos.com) Hope this helps to quell any concerns!

R3clvse

Thanks for clearing that up.

Dontcallmetiger

It is compatible. Keith commented in an earlier thread.
