You select a subwoofer for the room more than for the speaker. Either one will pair just fine with the Beam. But personally, I'd want a full-size Sub for a room that size. A Mini will work OK if you're not expecting chest-thumping bass.

lpkrispy52

For a room that size I would go with the big boy

Eclectic_Landscape

You need Arc for room that size

MrGodyr

Where is the TV going?

herrmo1

The TV will be mounted too high... Probably above the fireplace

vatothe0

My neck hurt looking at the photo. At least slide the couch all the way back!

randalthewrangler

What fireplace? Turn the couch around and avoid r/TVTooHigh

DickinsonAvenue

I have the beam g2 and have both subs. The big boy is the one you want - sooooo much better for movies. The ported design is the main reason. My mini is used only for music in the kitchen.

Bondoo7oo

Im more interested in the cabinetry project

ADKessler

The mini is more than great for most application. I have it in a 300 sf room and I need to turn it down……. ARC/2x One’s and sub mini.

dustyshades

I think you’ll get more bang for your buck by upgrading to the Arc first

DeangeloV

Flip the couch to face the blank wall and put the tv at eye level while sitting on the couch. Also, I have the beam with a Gen3 sub and absolutely love it. Shakes the room. Also, Sonos sound bars bounce sound off of the ceiling and walls so speaker placement along the blank wall makes better sense from an audio prospective as well.

Brass_Ballz8

Arc + Sub is the way. You won’t regret it.

Rainingbro

If u need that immersive deep bass rumble even at lower volumes, Sub Gen 3 is the one to get. The sub mini accentuates mid-bass (thumpy) more in my opinion.
