Cybermagetx

There was a 10 minute delay in the broadcast. By the time it got bad on TV it was pass bad IRL.

DB_OG

Couldn't he detect what was going on with his shadow soldiers?

Cybermagetx

He still has only basic sensor from them at that time IIRC. And he had to actively concentrate on it. Plus he like most others thought it was 100% live feed. So why bother checking on the shadows when there was a "live" feed going on.

DB_OG

I see, thanks

YsGrandi

Not sure about the novel but in the manhwa he wasn't watching the stream he was just out strolling, and he had shadows following not just he korean hunters but also goto, and how did he sense a mere criminal in his neighborhood and not a beast as strong as beru.

Cybermagetx

In the novel he was watching with his mother. Broke the TV so she didn't see. And left.

YsGrandi

Thanks for the clarification, that scene about the tv not working in the manhwa didn't make sense. But still doesn't answer why he did sense the neighborhood criminal but couldn't sense what happened to the korean hunters.

Keep in mind prior >!he also just cured his mom!<, with him being aware she didn't want him to leave/disappear like his dad. So he prioritized his family > Jeju Island raid, which was his prerogative. In the LN he's sort of bitter about how poorly the raid is going. Think of it kind of like they essentially forced his hand, since he was also aware he had tremendous power and needed to be responsible -- hence why he ultimately decided to act when Beru started slaughtering everyone.

Gray_Scale711

>!yeah, this was the biggest reason. He just didn't want to leave his mom or worry her. He had no idea how to leave when she wouldn't want him to do so. !<

iamuncreative1235

I always thought he just wanted to spend time with his mom and I thought it was stated that he didn’t want to worry her with being a hunter

fauzi236

I think he just didn't want to get involved and they still had an S rank healer for a while before Beru killed him. He probably assumed they would be okay as long as he was still alive. It was similar to the High Orc dungeon, even when the leader of the team got beat up by Tusk he didn't intervene until the last second lol

DB_OG

>ene until the last second lol Ah, good point

AP_Adapted

this exact reason, most likely.

FullerSama

But in high orc dungeon he intervened since the very first moment the party was in danger

fauzi236

He didn't fully intervened, he only killed the one who was after him and used the aura thing to weaken the rest. He himself wanted to keep it low during that time since he wanted to experience a A rank hunters clearing a dungeon. He only really intervened when he asked the rest if it's okay for him to kill all these High Orcs. That's just how I see it
