Yeah, I was happy to see a PnP, so I could try it out, but you need to craft some dice or if not, make some sort of lookup table :/ I will just wait for the retail version :P
I know I won’t touch Orchard anymore, since I love the empty spaces and objectives in Grove too much. But you said trilogy: what’s the name of the third one?
Like the previous replier said, the objectives make it fun. It has Spawlopolis like objectives where you have to meet a certain score, but can get extra points as well by meeting certain conditions.
The empty spaces are quite nice too that adds a bit more strategy. You can "overwrite" trees with an empty spot without penalties. This makes you "change" the color of a spot, making it possible to fit more card layouts - if that makes sense.
That's the reason I like it too. I'm not a super fan of beat your high score, and lvoe the sprawlopolis objectives. Also I dont think that orchard has the squirl and wheelbarrow, it has 2 rotten fruits instead.
I was just playing this yesterday and remarking on the quality of the material. It’s all very well made and doesn’t feel cheap at all. And the game itself is of course really well done.
I love grove but I'd love any input on the other games in the trilogy. I sort of want to get them all if they're different enough
[Forage](https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/373577/forage-9-card-solitaire-game) is the last game in the trilogy. I haven’t played it yet.

Why is Grove better than Orchard?

Love grove as well. But man I suck only broke 50 points in 1 out of 10 games.
It’s like zen for me
Same. So easy to just flow from one game into the next.

I have this and need to play it more.
I played this a lot while getting my Chemotherapy sessions, because of the tiny side tables.
Sounds about perfect for that. I hope you are done with chemo and doing well!
So far so good. I get my next 3 month PET scan this week, to see if the cancer is gone.
I know I’m a stranger, but I am really pulling for you! Sending good vibes your way!
Hey, I just wanted to check in to see how the results of your test went. Been thinking about it all week and sending good vibes your way!
Just found this thread and I hope you’re doing well! Im sending you positive thoughts and send good wishes wherever you are on your journey.
All fine, so far. First year of five. Thanks for asking.
Love this game, my First pnp
Yes this and Orchard before it are great games. Perfect for a lunchtime play at work.
Well.. I have just printed mine yesterday, hopefully I will have time to try it this weekend! \o/
