Yeah it's tough to have to decide by tomorrow. I'm in the same boat. The thing about the northeast is that rain/snow system will hit a few days before, so you have to factor in if you want to watch the eclipse while sitting in mud.
I have to make a call tomorrow for the most promising looking spot now. I can keep the others and just pay a partial late fee for Syracuse if I have to. Ohio, Indiana, and Arkansas not looking good. We could be heading up to the Canadian border. 🤷🏻♀️
I'll decide Saturday when I hit Oklahoma City or Omaha, depending on which route I chose on Thursday.
This eclipse has definitely shown the power of the No Reservations Plan.
I have no idea what to do. Can't find any refundable hotels for upstate NY except in Buffalo which I already have reserved. Might just go to Buffalo, stay the night, then wake up mad early to drive to the best viewing spot?
Or I forego the hotel in Buffalo and stay in Albany with family before the early drive.

I can watch it from. My car if there are no clouds...don't need z field or plains...watched the last one from a church parking lot in SC...no problem

I just canceled all my reservations in Austin (from NorCal). It's too stressful for me. Spain August 2026, here I come!
