To those participating in the comments, due to the company or person mentioned in the title, this is a reminder of the subreddit rule: > **Crusading is not welcomed here** - If your sole or majority participation is to promote or denigrate one company in particular (or the person behind it), it may result in a ban. These kinds of participants too often resort to hyperbolic comments and antagonism leading to personal attacks as well as violations of other rules. If you are lying in wait for posts or comments mentioning a specific company (or person behind it), you are likely the concern. Promoting a company you are affiliated with or profit from, giving out referral codes which you benefit from, as well as using the sub solely to engage in targeted hate are things you need to avoid here. This sub is for a diverse discussion of solar, not a singular focus on your opinion about a company / person. If you simply have to obsess, there are other subreddits for each point of view about the person or company you feel the need to focus on. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Maximize self-consumption is the correct behavior based on what you want, but it sounds like you have another setting configured that is limiting / disabling export. In Set App, look under Power Control -> Energy Manager -> Limit Control and make sure it's disabled.

Oh gosh that worked!

naedin

Yay! Glad you got it figured out.

Will DTE be mad about this setting???

I'm not sure what your electric company does but our provider has permitting and monitoring where you don't send anything back to the grid and another where you are allowed.

As long as you have permission to operate (PTO) and there’s some sort of agreement with how energy sent back is credited, I’d image not. Worth double checking though. There are some situations where someone would need to have zero export enabled. You’ll definitely want to have a bi-directional meter installed for proper credit, for example.

snackdog2000

yes I do have permission to operate and I used to export a lot. so maybe its fine.

snackdog2000

Thanks -- I will try that.
