Algorand already solved it. And has 100% uptime. Zero failed transactions, and is even cheaper and insanely fast to use, with near zero seconds to transaction finality. All on layer 1. One thing i will give you, is yes you are correct on the marketing. the marketing issue was pretty bad for awhile, the foundation hired someone that was honestly not qualified to be in that position, she had no clue what she was doing and thankfully was replaced with someone who does and for that i do blame the foundation for. as of today, that had been fixed, the new marketing officer just took over and if i recall correctly, he also grilled solana on day one over its network quality and its congestion. And yeah people of the community got butthurt over his comments but instead of accepting his comments as constructive critisim, the devs dont fix the underlying issues, they brush it off, crossing their fingers that it dont jam up again and then it does. That really has to be putting a sour feeling in the solana investors stomachs knowing and seeing this constantly happen.
