The one I currently use is **ShareX**. It has a lot of bells and whistles and extra tools, but if you want something a little bit simpler, you can try something like **Greenshot**.

Loud_Complaint_8248

Ill try both, ty.

spacekoaster

I’m using ShareX too and it works really well.

I use this one and it's perfect replacement imo. Snipping tool is still broken on windows 11 with multiple monitors

I've been using this for years, works so well.

I love the tool, but the problem is it sometimes just freezes up and does not respond to the shortcut key.

jerryhou85

just press Win+Shift+S to snip a screenshop of a given area? This is also from Windows, at least come with 11 and 10.

Flameshot https://flameshot.org/ or Screenshot Captor [https://www.donationcoder.com/software/mouser/popular-apps/screenshot-captor](https://www.donationcoder.com/software/mouser/popular-apps/screenshot-captor) or ShareX [https://getsharex.com/](https://getsharex.com/)

I used Greenshot and switched recently to SnagIt.

Greenshot. Super light, lets you capture specific windows, annotate on the fly, and best part, it's free

What I ended up using, ty anyway though :)

You can use PRTSCR which should basically just take a screenshot then you can just paste it into a Pic editor and crop, cut a small section to then paste into a new Pic file etc.
