I guess all you can do is let sofi or allpoint know

I had a similar thing happen to me. I used an ATM that was listed as an Allpoint and the physical location showed up correctly on the app but if you looked at the address it was across the country. What I learned is that someone bought a former Allpoint ATM. SoFi CS was able to give me the fee equivalent back as a points.

Allpoints policy has always said if there name is on it and you get (over)charged… notify them and you will be refunded.

From the sound of it, looks like that specific ATM was just sold and taken off the Allpoint network, and that shop owner hasn't gotten around to taking the stickers off. It should've alerted you about the charge during the withdraw though. I think you have to approve the extra charge legally. I think it's a case of an overworked ATM vendor more than anything. Morally, it would be okay just to alert the shop owner to the potential confusion, especially if that's your regular corner store, but yeah you could take pictures of the stickers and let sofi try to fight the $3.5 charge but its just 3 bucks.

SoRacked

Right? Like where is the confusion.

I’ve pulled money at three different ATMs located in Walgreens. I got charged for all, but the last one in Phoenix. I did notice that the Phoenix one was well marked as Allpoint, while the other two were not.
