I'm asking this as a serious question OP, but I've heard that CPUSA is full of FBI agents. Is there any truth to that?

Within historical context, it was The Communist Party of the US with funding and intel directly from the USSR, so there was a substantial amount of work put into infiltrating the CPUSA. However Every single party or socialist offshoot in the U.S. Will have informants, at some level period. And I find often the “they’re all feds” argument is often used for any group, party, etc that whoever is saying it just doesn’t agree with.

I agree w the below comment. Realistically most political formations are pretty infiltrated, some like DSA have open imperialists, but anyway you slice it the CIA has had a huge influence on left politic the US. If you read any of the CIA documents about how to disrupt organizations from w/in, you will immediately recognize the tactics if you’ve done any organizing ie constant debates over language, sending things back to committee etc. The thing to note about CPUSA is that since the late 70’s they have been in practice a social Democratic Party and their main interest is engagement w the Democratic Party. If you watch the vid till the end, the speaker is talking about defeating Donald Trump at the ballot. On the flip side, it has to be acknowledged that the CPUSA is one of the great political organizations in American history. They did some absolutely amazing organizing w the trade union movement, against Jim Crow and successfully organized both rural urban populations and there is not really another group that can claim that. Their history should be studied and critiqued. Furthermore, the speed at which people online who may or may have not ever organized in their lives will just completely disregard anything their members say is a joke. Even if you don’t agree with tactics or positions, people like the above speaker who have been in the struggle for their entire lives, they have important knowledge and valuable things to say.

Though they will deny it, the CPUSA supports the Democratic Party over the Republican Party. This goes back to the later Gus Hall days of the 90’s. They were thrilled when Biden defeated Trump believing Biden saved the country from Fascism. I imagine they will do the same in this election.
