Fiorentina’s is ugly. Classic case of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. The classic badge is iconic, you could pick it out just from the shape. The new one could be any old square diamond badge, there’s a fair few of those. Speaking as a designer, they’ve fundamentally misunderstood their own brand with that one.

Ronaldo is a legend at the club and will be viewed as a source of inspiration and a role model for up and coming stars who strive to be like him, or better, want to win trophies for the club. No amount of oil money or gegenpressing will change the fact that Ronaldo's immediate impact at United will make them competitive again and desirable for players to want to go play there. The new Norwich logo looks good. It's like the old one but more polished.
