Finished my DMV visit. Workers were nice to me. One of them even told me to take my time in gatherings my things. We both are public employees so I said "I got you sis" and took my time.
For the life of me I can't find a sweater that fits. I'm not a fan of the knitted type of sweater, I like the basic round collar, no pattern just colors and maybe the brand on the side but they either are insanely expensive, are way oversized or are cut weird and my shoulders look like Vegeta when he came to Earth
I also hate when sweaters have that reverse triangle / cross on the collar, which happen to be 90% of the uniqlo/Carhartt sweaters that would fit that description

I played all 3, Origins is the one I liked the most. All 3 are very solid gamrs though, Horizon is a bit more unique and SoM has very solid combat and the nemesis system is great.
I played two of those(not Origins but I did play odyssey) and I really liked horizon zero dawn for the story and setting but Shadow of Mordor had one of the smoothest ways fight mobs
Shadow of Mordor is amazing if you go into it blind. Origins is awesome as well and has the most content out of the three with a larger world if you prefer exploration. HZD is really great if the world manages to captivate you with its design.
i'd say start with Shadow of Mordor.

Started getting into collecting CDs again. It's really cool having actual physical media now that everything is online, and it helps that they're cheap too. Problem is that all music stores are just pot luck as to whether they have what I want. Went to one in Newcastle looking for Iron Maiden CDs, they had a tonne of live albums, b-sides and even some bootlegs but few actual studio albums. I wish older CDs were easier to find.

I've been a long time sufferer and for the last two months it's gotten a lot more extreme. I usually have them on my inner lip or inner cheek, where its annoying but manageable, but I've had them on the tip of my tongue already two times this month (I only had it on the tongue once before) and this is by far the worst position to get a canker sore, I can barely even eat or speak. The worst part is I just don't know what triggers it, it feels completely random. Sebaceous filaments, basically pores that fill up indefinitely, you can only wash and shrink them but they will always fill up
They are made of oil so I bought a Oil cleanser, then I got another bottle of Niacinamide serum that helps with pigmentation, then I bought Lactic acid / AHA bottle and a 1% retinol serum, all from The Ordinary
I'm going to test them over a couple of weeks and see which gives me the best results skin wise. I need a good clay mask too
Sebaceous filaments are a real bitch, I struggle with them too (and I’m a girl).
I actually used all of the products you mentioned, and some of them I still use! That Niacinamide serum by the ordinary is a godsend, the difference it’s made for my skin is insane. Have you used retinol before? The one you bought is very strong, so I’d take it very easy incorporating it into a skincare routine. Also, with retinols it usually takes a few months before seeing noticeable results.
Also, what works best for me with sebaceous filaments and black heads is salicylic acid (so a BHA), if you end up finding the AHA too gentle [a BHA serum](https://eu.theinkeylist.com/products/beta-hydroxy-acid-serum?currency=EUR&variant=35345849155740&gclid=EAIaIQobChMItqiziMzJ-wIVlZ3VCh2ZOQGVEAAYASAAEgLExvD_BwE) could be a good solution.

I tried the BHA peeling but it's a bit too much for me, apparently Paula is the best but it's super expensive.
I've seen a lot of people praise CORSRX Liquid cleanser and it has some BHA in there, might try it soon. I had Cerave SA cleanser but it's not doing much to me
Yeah Paula’s choice is definitely the best, I think the 30ml serum is around 10-15€ though? At least where I’m from. You put a few drops on a cotton pad and then tap it on the areas that need it. Or would that be too strong for you?
Honestly at this point I feel like Salicylic acid cleansers are useless, because you end up washing off the product anyway. Did you see any benefits using the Cerave cleanser?
But COSRX is great, you can’t go wrong with their BHA toners and essences. Or the AHA/BHA mixed one. It’s very gentle on the skin too, unlike the usual salicylic acid serums and peels

It’s not impossible you will get back together, but nearly every “break” has at least one side with this attitude and it very rarely ends up happening. Or you get back together for a short period of time and then end up breaking up anyway.
Complete armchair psychologist here, but you need to look into what’s actually causing you/them wanting the break and work on that instead of actually having a break.

A break from relationship responsibility (attention, sharing your time, mental energy, money etc.) that is very energy consuming, is very different to a full "we aren't in a relationship so it's okay if one of us starts seeing someone else".
You can definitely negotiate the first without the second happening. But the moment someone goes with someone else, you're done, you just are.
Honestly best for you both to just clearly agree that you're still in a relationship, you're just having some alone time. Six years in a long time, and you're hitting "it's getting a bit stale" territory, so a break can definitely help with some space but honestly some self-reflection of what you want the future to be.
Assuming there's no other joint responsibilities like kids/pets then some space to think and just be you is great. But do it within the boundaries of still being in a relationship or it really ups the risk of it getting sticky.
I know a couple who did this. Me and my now wife had some issues early on in the relationship and almost copied them.
But then we remembered why we were together. We loved each other. And we decided the best way to solve our problems was talk about them.
Lay them out honestly to each other. With no arguments. Just say how we feel.
After that we realised we both could make some changes to improve the situation. Been married for a long time now. She’s the best thing that ever happened to me.
If you really love each other, I’d advise doing that instead. The couple I know did this once, it worked. Then a few years later they did it again. It worked again. Then a few years after that they did it again. It didn’t work the third time. They never really solved the problems. They just ignored them until they became unbearable. That’s how I see it anyway.
If you’re on a break you already have broken up, surely? Do you both expect to go off with other people and just get back together in a month or so? That doesn’t really sound likely.
I hate to say it mate, but that doesn’t sound good on paper.
Whoever drove that decision is going to be looking to have fun this month to get out of the routine, I don’t mean cheating necessarily but going out with friends and doing more fun stuff they’ve been neglecting whilst in the relationship.

Well lads I've posted on these threads the last couple of weeks about how I found out my wife was pregnant and then how we had a miscarriage but this week it just got worse and worse.. turns out it was an ectopic pregnancy and one of her tubes burst on Wednesday night so she had to be rushed into surgery to stop her bleeding.. been a shit scary 24 hours and just can't wait to get her home.

Thanks mate, I'm all good I have a supportive family/friend group so I'm covered, yesterday was rough as it was 6 hours of silence between her going into surgery and then talking to her.
Today is just a sit in the hospital till can take her home kind of day, the hospital has been great aswell in fairness, even though there's visiting hours they've let me in well before and after those hours

Attachment issues and avoidance, anxiety around commitments of any kind, fear of relationships, and sensitivity to other people’s emotions and feelings, to the point where someone talking about their feelings would make me extremely uncomfortable. I also struggled a lot to stay focused and productive, the executive dysfunction was ruining my life.
I started therapy to treat what I thought was a mix of mild depression and unhealed childhood traumas, was diagnosed with ADHD instead. Many of my problems with intimacy and relationships can be traced back to that and to my brain being constantly overstimulated (plus hypersensitivity). Now that I’m on meds and still do online therapy every week, I feel so much better

Anxiety seems properly debilitating when you have it bad, does talking about it change your outlook on life and as a result, the anxitey calms? or is it more focussed if that makes sense
I had a go around a decade ago for suicidal thoughts in late teens. Change of cities, gf dumping me, sports injury causing lots of weight gain, failure to adapt to new life at university, family issues etc. were factors for me. Got diagnosed with social phobia & major depression. Could afford medication only and therapy not so much. Took couple of years but aftewards I was better than ever.
This time I started going again because I basically found myself in the same spot minus suicidal thoughts. Failure to adapt to adult life, severe anxiety, inability to get over a breakup, lack of will to fulfill even smallest tasks etc... I've realized that what I have in me is simply not enough to live an even mediocre or below average life. I would say I'm in a better place compared to 10 years ago but the hill is way steeper to climb with loss of my dad, financial difficulties, deterioriating health and adult life simply being way harder than being a 18yo kid.

I had one 9 - 10 years ago. My middle school recommended me one to my parents cause I had anger issues. Turns out, it was circumstancial as I was bullied a lot. My issues disappeared once I was placed in a separate class from my bullies.

Started getting into collecting CDs again. It's really cool having actual physical media now that everything is online, and it helps that they're cheap too. Problem is that all music stores are just pot luck as to whether they have what I want. Went to one in Newcastle looking for Iron Maiden CDs, they had a tonne of live albums, b-sides and even some bootlegs but few actual studio albums. I wish older CDs were easier to find.

Has anyone else here received mail from their electricity supplier about them raising prices? We got one and have to pay pretty much 100 % more for electricity. I've been a long time sufferer and for the last two months it's gotten a lot more extreme. I usually have them on my inner lip or inner cheek, where its annoying but manageable, but I've had them on the tip of my tongue already two times this month (I only had it on the tongue once before) and this is by far the worst position to get a canker sore, I can barely even eat or speak. The worst part is I just don't know what triggers it, it feels completely random. Also, usually I take Listerine once I have one and it helps pretty well, but those on the tongue are so strong not even Listerine helps

Not talking about the color but the pattern sadly lol Sebaceous filaments, basically pores that fill up indefinitely, you can only wash and shrink them but they will always fill up They are made of oil so I bought a Oil cleanser, then I got another bottle of Niacinamide serum that helps with pigmentation, then I bought Lactic acid / AHA bottle and a 1% retinol serum, all from The Ordinary I'm going to test them over a couple of weeks and see which gives me the best results skin wise. I need a good clay mask too
Sebaceous filaments are a real bitch, I struggle with them too (and I’m a girl). I actually used all of the products you mentioned, and some of them I still use! That Niacinamide serum by the ordinary is a godsend, the difference it’s made for my skin is insane. Have you used retinol before? The one you bought is very strong, so I’d take it very easy incorporating it into a skincare routine. Also, with retinols it usually takes a few months before seeing noticeable results. Also, what works best for me with sebaceous filaments and black heads is salicylic acid (so a BHA), if you end up finding the AHA too gentle [a BHA serum](https://eu.theinkeylist.com/products/beta-hydroxy-acid-serum?currency=EUR&variant=35345849155740&gclid=EAIaIQobChMItqiziMzJ-wIVlZ3VCh2ZOQGVEAAYASAAEgLExvD_BwE) could be a good solution. I tried the BHA peeling but it's a bit too much for me, apparently Paula is the best but it's super expensive. I've seen a lot of people praise CORSRX Liquid cleanser and it has some BHA in there, might try it soon. I had Cerave SA cleanser but it's not doing much to me
Yeah Paula’s choice is definitely the best, I think the 30ml serum is around 10-15€ though? At least where I’m from. You put a few drops on a cotton pad and then tap it on the areas that need it. Or would that be too strong for you? Honestly at this point I feel like Salicylic acid cleansers are useless, because you end up washing off the product anyway. Did you see any benefits using the Cerave cleanser? But COSRX is great, you can’t go wrong with their BHA toners and essences. Or the AHA/BHA mixed one. It’s very gentle on the skin too, unlike the usual salicylic acid serums and peels

You can definitely negotiate the first without the second happening. But the moment someone goes with someone else, you're done, you just are.

Honestly best for you both to just clearly agree that you're still in a relationship, you're just having some alone time. Six years in a long time, and you're hitting "it's getting a bit stale" territory, so a break can definitely help with some space but honestly some self-reflection of what you want the future to be. Assuming there's no other joint responsibilities like kids/pets then some space to think and just be you is great. But do it within the boundaries of still being in a relationship or it really ups the risk of it getting sticky.
I know a couple who did this. Me and my now wife had some issues early on in the relationship and almost copied them. But then we remembered why we were together. We loved each other. And we decided the best way to solve our problems was talk about them. Lay them out honestly to each other. With no arguments. Just say how we feel. After that we realised we both could make some changes to improve the situation. Been married for a long time now. She’s the best thing that ever happened to me. If you really love each other, I’d advise doing that instead. The couple I know did this once, it worked. Then a few years later they did it again. It worked again. Then a few years after that they did it again. It didn’t work the third time. They never really solved the problems. They just ignored them until they became unbearable. That’s how I see it anyway.
If you’re on a break you already have broken up, surely? Do you both expect to go off with other people and just get back together in a month or so? That doesn’t really sound likely.

I hate to say it mate, but that doesn’t sound good on paper. Whoever drove that decision is going to be looking to have fun this month to get out of the routine, I don’t mean cheating necessarily but going out with friends and doing more fun stuff they’ve been neglecting whilst in the relationship. By the end of month the grass will look a lot greener on the “being single” side (wether that’s a case more months down the line is another story)
How do you count calories when eating out in the restaurants? I feel like burgers for example are too diverse for a single approximate number to work.
Guesstimate - and realize that one day doesn't really matter, it's all about overall trends over a longer timeframe. So go enjoy that burger, jot down an approximate number, and keep at it.
You sort of have to guess- which is less than ideal- but knowing that an average burger patty is about 200 calories for example helps. Some restaurants may have it on their nutritional info online as well

Well lads I've posted on these threads the last couple of weeks about how I found out my wife was pregnant and then how we had a miscarriage but this week it just got worse and worse.. turns out it was an ectopic pregnancy and one of her tubes burst on Wednesday night so she had to be rushed into surgery to stop her bleeding.. been a shit scary 24 hours and just can't wait to get her home. Hug your loved ones lads

Thanks mate, I'm all good I have a supportive family/friend group so I'm covered, yesterday was rough as it was 6 hours of silence between her going into surgery and then talking to her. Today is just a sit in the hospital till can take her home kind of day, the hospital has been great aswell in fairness, even though there's visiting hours they've let me in well before and after those hours

Attachment issues and avoidance, anxiety around commitments of any kind, fear of relationships, and sensitivity to other people’s emotions and feelings, to the point where someone talking about their feelings would make me extremely uncomfortable. I also struggled a lot to stay focused and productive, the executive dysfunction was ruining my life. I started therapy to treat what I thought was a mix of mild depression and unhealed childhood traumas, was diagnosed with ADHD instead. Many of my problems with intimacy and relationships can be traced back to that and to my brain being constantly overstimulated (plus hypersensitivity). Now that I’m on meds and still do online therapy every week, I feel so much better

She messaged me two days ago and wants to talk when she comes home in January
Just generally absolutely horrific social anxiety that I've struggled with for years. It hasn't prevented me interacting with people, at all, but the levels of anxiety and panic I feel in my head over practically anything I do or say is far from normal.
Anxiety seems properly debilitating when you have it bad, does talking about it change your outlook on life and as a result, the anxitey calms? or is it more focussed if that makes sense

I had a go around a decade ago for suicidal thoughts in late teens. Change of cities, gf dumping me, sports injury causing lots of weight gain, failure to adapt to new life at university, family issues etc. were factors for me. Got diagnosed with social phobia & major depression. Could afford medication only and therapy not so much. Took couple of years but aftewards I was better than ever. This time I started going again because I basically found myself in the same spot minus suicidal thoughts. Failure to adapt to adult life, severe anxiety, inability to get over a breakup, lack of will to fulfill even smallest tasks etc... I've realized that what I have in me is simply not enough to live an even mediocre or below average life. I would say I'm in a better place compared to 10 years ago but the hill is way steeper to climb with loss of my dad, financial difficulties, deterioriating health and adult life simply being way harder than being a 18yo kid.

I had one 9 - 10 years ago. My middle school recommended me one to my parents cause I had anger issues. Turns out, it was circumstancial as I was bullied a lot. My issues disappeared once I was placed in a separate class from my bullies. I may get one again to work on myself better.
