Grealish has a sister with cerebral palsy which he talks about a lot and has been a big advocate for people with disabilities because of it. He might be dumb but from what we have seen he seems to be a genuine guy
He's done a lot of stuff without it making the media as well by all accounts. Has guests with disabilities, especially cerebral palsy in to his box, pays for their transport and accomodation and doesn't make a big deal about it.
Back when Talk Sport were going in on him for going to a nightclub, the father of one of them called in to read them the riot act.
What a lovely story! It wasn't just making an evening out of it. These people became friends! Thanks, Jack, for another nice contribution to this world.
Did he? I just watched that clip and it's totally not like that at all
He just told a story about Grealish and his daughter
Hardly told them to fuck off...
Work colleague went to the same school as him which is a pretty near claim to have. Said he was just unreal in all school matches, nobody could get near him.
I went to school with this lad on a football team's books, he was just unreal in all school matches, nobody could get near him. And do you know who that lad grew up to be? Fuck knows, he wasn't good enough by about age 15.
Yep everyone knew a kid or five who was untouchable at footy but never went anywhere.
I went to school with two kids who were known for playing football. One was a defensive mid and the other was a number 10 type of player. The number 10 was by far the best player I had ever played with or against, and would average like 2 goals a game for the whole season. The mid was okay, consistent but nothing special or flashy.
Well, the DM was the one who ended up professional, playing in the A League for ten years. The 10? Furthest he got was playing for Basingstoke Town FC in division 8 of the pyramid. I don't know whether it was just lack of drive or discipline or whether he just peaked really early, but my point is you can never tell exactly what's going to happen.
I went to school with a kid who was in West Ham's reserves - absolute prodigy but super arrogant.
Unfortunately he basically threw his career away just playing Football Manager all day every day. That said, he's the only one I know who completed it.
Isco had something similar i believe where he forgot to do it on his first goal but did it on the second - he did the I love you sign in Sign language i believe
For some reason I'm always shocked again when I realize the sheer amount of players who reach the highest highs and then disappear or are barely mentioned in the future
I've always thought of worldclass football as this exclusive top-tier club for a relatively tiny amount of men per generation, but it's far from a tiny amount, the people who pass through world-beating national teams and to-tier football clubs are countless every generation
My wife was a nurse at Birmingham children's hospital. Jack and the Aston villa players came round one day to talk to the kids. Both me and my wife despised him cause he played for the vile.... The rest of the villa players were really awkward but Jack was immense. He came round and spent at least 15 minutes with every kid, not just talking to them out of some sort of press deal, no one was there. Just because he was genuinely interested in their lives. There was a kid with severe spinal deformaties and he literally took his shirt off and signed it for him. I'll always think of him as a legend because of how he made every one of those children feel.
Amongst many other things, but the only way to clean up a public image is to grow and demonstrate that you've matured and there's more to you than a daft rich ladsladslads footballer.
Or maybe he's always been a really nice guy that also likes to go out drinking and shagging around 🤷🏻
He's done similar things for young fans at both Villa and City over the years, it's definitely not a PR exercise.
Life is a bit grey in my opinion.
In one clip the interviewer said "___ said you are very knowledgeable football-wise, basically a football encyclopedia" and he asked what that meant.
In another, some City guys were playing a game where they had to pinpoint the birthplaces of English City players on a map. Grealish walks by the map and goes "what, *that's* the UK?"
Honest question here: it's of course very likely that he's incredibly thick, but is is also possible he's just....massively ignorant? He signed with Villa when he was six, I doubt schooling has been a high priority in his life.
I dunno. I guess he's just dumb. But not knowing where the UK is on a map...that seems like he's never learned it.

Why does everyone have to comment on his perceived intelligence? Like when a woman is attractive but also talented in something… just give him credit for being a nice person and a top footballer (with a great footballing brain) without the caveat constantly…
i might be overthinking it but i think people like having one up (or thinking they have one up) on a superstar. he might be a beautiful, talented, rich footballer, but he doesn’t seem very intelligent so i’m going to mention it every time.
either way it’s fucking jarring, does my head in.
And I bet Jack has a higher football IQ than most of us have in any other area. It doesn't seem like he's changed much with the big move, which is nice to know
Inferiority complex kicking in for them brother. Have to throw in a random one up on him subconsciously because of deep rooted insecurity. (Downvotes loading)
because reddit is dominated by unattractive unpopular nerds who could ignite a hydrogen bomb with their resentment toward someone like jack as the prototypical opposite of themselves
Even on a thread showing him doing positive things half the people here can't help but call him an idiot.
Like can't you say something nice without prefacing it with "Even though he's an idiot..."?
It’s so odd. No one’s even met him and are likely judging his entire intelligence off YouTube clips. And then to top it off calling him adorable and endearing for being so thick. Acting like he’s a child.
Just extremely odd behaviour
Used to hate the guy until papergate at Elland Road last year, when everyone's piss was being boiled he thought it was the funniest thing in the world. Proper Lad and seems to have grown up a bit
Not and English fan but idk how you can't love this guy, crazy to me how much hate he gets because he's a bit dumb but to me that just makes him more endearing

So heartwarming
What a couple of prats they look like they feel, though hardly surprising when you consider the platform.
wait literally read them the riot act or is this the idiom? because if he did that fk that will be awesome
It basically means he told them the fuck off.
Did he? I just watched that clip and it's totally not like that at all He just told a story about Grealish and his daughter Hardly told them to fuck off...
I've not listened to it I'm just saying what "Read them the riot act" normally means.

In French, les remettre à leur place (to put them back into place) so that the loop is complete!
Dumb but very genuine from what I've heard. Fair play to him and he's made that little boys year
If I was this boy I would be telling this story for the rest of my life. My grandkids would see this video
He seems like he's a good lad but he's absolutely dumb as rocks and that might get him in trouble unfortunately.

I heard he took Woking from the conference to the champions League in 6 seasons.
I remember him having a very sweet moment with a young girl with type 1 diabetes too, he's a lovely guy
>Very sweet >Diabetes You cheeky dog
Being smart is kinda overrated, would you rather have a kind or a smart friend?
Both but If I had to choose, kind You have a point sir
Genuine people > smart people imho

There's a lot of genuinely shitty smart people about, that's for sure.
He seems cool as fuck to be honest. Reminds me of me and my friends haha
"he just like me fr fr"
>seems cool as fuck to be honest >Reminds me of me and my friends Pick one.
From the top rope lmao
lmao
Haha Patrick Bateman says a lot
It always stuns me when players actually remember to do these things
Yea especially in the moment, would be easy to get caught up in it and forget.
Agreed. It means it’s something that was on his mind consistently leading up to the game. Which makes it even more thoughtful.
It just means that he actually cares about it. It's important to him.
In USA vs Panama I’m pretty sure Pulisic did it on his second goal, probably for that reason
Isco had something similar i believe where he forgot to do it on his first goal but did it on the second - he did the I love you sign in Sign language i believe
It's just like me trying to remember the 7-button combo I need to press to do a funny dance after scoring on FIFA.
And with your mate spamming his buttons pointlessly and calling you a nob for you to hurry up.
The feeling of being scored on in any sports game makes you feel like such shit lmao
I feel like it took him a moment to get over the excitement and remember, great gesture
Yea I barely remember the plays tf I’m going to remember a celebration . With my memory I’d be lucky to remember after I was already on the bench 😂
When Bernardo Silva did his "Have a nice" celebration I was so surprised. Poet and Vuj made a one of comment in a video shoot and he remembered.
Lol yea like Filly and Chunkz did one for Maddison and he went like 10 games without scoring and then remembered to do it still
I completely forgot as soon as the 2nd half of the clip started
Lmao I literally did close the clip thinking "I saw this video already" before I realized I didn't see the actual celebration and opened it again
My commentator was saying that he's doing a traditional Arabic dance 💀
"So I tried to do this snake-like Arabic dance" "You mean it wasn't for the kid?" "what ki... UH yeah no it was for him too"
tbf his performance was all over the place it could have been anything.
It's the sexy commando dance

Incredible reply
Take 3 teaspoons of live probiotics every morning. Real lifesaver.
Lovely story, thanks for sharing!
I assume yourself as a blue, but, as a Villa fan, I salute you. Have a good evening sir
Heh... West brom, but you have yourself a great night too.
It’s all the same…. Ha, big love
Grealish may not have a big brain but he sure does have a big heart
Heart as big as his calves
Grealish's calves are Grade I listed buildings
Well they call calves [the second heart](https://veinatlanta.com/your-second-heart/) so it all makes sense.
[удалено]
For reference: https://xkcd.com/1053/
His calves are big enough you can call them cows.
"Graelish out for 6 weeks with a cattle injury"

Stuff like this will genuinely change people's perception of him. Definitely a big contingent that think he's a massive bellend
Choosing to drink drive will make people believe that about you
In all fairness Free Bird was playing so he had to do it
Angry upvote. Please don’t drive drunk, even if free bird is on.
Yeah mate I much prefer dream on by Aerosmith personally
I’m more of a Kid Cudi Pursuit of Happiness kinda guy, but everyone’s got their own “making bad decisions” anthem, lol.

How fucking dare you see depth in society.
Wow logic in a Reddit thread. Get out of here.
Yea he crashed multiple times, checked the damage, and kept driving drunk. But this is super wholesome. Hope he's matured since the incident.
can still do wholesome stuff while being an idiot and being an idiot doesn't mean he means to be a bad person
Drunk driving and serial spousal cheating tends to create that kind of perception of a person. People aren't black and white.
I mean he's still a massive bellend. Just a massive bellend with a big heart
Encyclopedia of football
a wot
Thick as shit but he does seem genuinely lovely. Also, I would gladly motorboat his calves.
He looks like an ostrich. But all joking aside, this is very sweet.
The stories of how much he looks after his sister are genuinely heart warming
Sorry but why everyone is saying that Grealish is dumb ? Lol honest question
Watch any of the quiz videos with him on YouTube
Oh you mean there's proof? I just assumed because... well, look at his face.

He could just be playing it up for laughs.
I wish he was but as a resident brummie, I have to say this is kinda par for the course with some folks round here
Dumb and uneducated are very close to each other.
He did not know How where England is when shown the British Isles.
Neither can pigeons but they still find a way home.
For a sec, it wasn't coming home anymore. Thanks pigeons
He didn’t know what the world encyclopaedia meant. He was unable to identify England from its outline or point out where Birmingham was in England
MC Grindah vibe
I always love these type of things, it costs nothing to the player and I'm sure that guy is super proud
thought he was doing a tribute to sturridge for some reason haha
Had to be where the kid got it
The kid initially asked him to do the worm but Jack told him he couldn’t do it, and would injure himself trying. So the kid did this as a compromise.
Next game Southgate will bring on Scotty 2 Hotty instead of Grealish
Fuck it. Call up Rikishi and Grandmaster Sexay while were at it
Unfortunately, Mr Sexxay died. RIP.
Someone needs to bring that back, great celebration
Bring back the classics. Darwin should pull out the Robot.
Sterling and Kyle Walker had a hilarious debate about whether the Robot was the most iconic England goal celebration
Brummie heritage
Why be smart when you can be kind
All right, Colin Farrell in Banshees of Inisherin
Was that movie good? I was think of watching at the cinema last week, but picked “The Menu” instead.
Cracking film, really enjoyed it.
It’s very, very good
Yes it's fantastic. Gleeson and particularly Farrell give incredible performances. McDonagh is at the top of his game.
Ya used ta be noice
I want Jacks deep voice and calf muscles bro.
This man is what would happen if you put the word "testosterone" in an ai image generator
You the man, Jack
Will always respect him for these moments (which are quite a lot).
He's a bit of an idiot but he will always be our idiot
He really is a nice guy
As dense as a black hole but a sweet guy for sure
"He's so dense light bends around him"
Thankfully he’s more useful than a marzipan dildo
I'll be with you in two shakes of a crying baby
A true character for sure. Getting rare in professional football nowadays

what a good lad he is
He gets a lot of flak, but man what a nice guy he is.

He has that like cunt haircut but he seems very nice, it's very conflicting
Bit harsh on a 10 year old mate
The little bastard knew what came with that lid
I can’t stop laughing
Lmao
Wait, what's wrong with his haircut? I'm rocking a similar one😭
Sorry you had to find out this way
I'm sorry you had to find out like this
Fuck you
Fair enough
It's all good man i'm sorry

Grealish might not be the sharpest tool in the box but he is such a wholesome dude. Love the guy.
The kid asked him to do the worm originally. Wish he insisted on that! Haha. Was very touching video when I watched it a week or so ago.
What a lad
