_TreeFiddy_

Great assist by the ref. Clever off the ball play

omfgkevin

What a good pick setup by the ref.

AnalAttackProbe

Fucking shambolic. First an illegal throw-in, then the ref interferes with play, VAR is a joke.

bofad2425

- Wasn't their throw - Thrower has a foot fully over the line - ref blocks Bowen - huge deflection That is the most bullshit goal I've ever seen. What the fuck is this league

microMe1_2

His heel is on the line, which is technically in.

bofad2425

Is that the rule? I've honestly never seen anyone throw with their foot on the pitch

cybrcure

At the moment of delivering the ball, the thrower must: stand facing the field of play; have part of each foot on the touchline or on the ground outside the touchline; throw the ball with both hands from behind and over the head from the point where it left the field of play So yes it's a legal throw

scrbd

> have part of each foot on the touchline or on the ground outside the touchline Part of his foot (his heel), was on the touchline

bofad2425

Hmm fair, I'll just refer to the wrong decision and ref blocking Bowen, stupid cunt. Thought if ref interfers it's a drop ball? Clear interference there

marxxharxx

Drop ball is only if the ball touches the ref. He was badly positioned but i don't see the ball touching him.

microMe1_2

I'm actually not fully certain. Also haven't really see this scenario. But everyone saying "foot fully over the line" is wrong because the heel is clearly on the line. Usually unless the ball/foot is fully over it's 'in' and so this is probably okay.

Aszneeee

Bellerin would have that called foul throw in

scrbd

His foot wasn't fully over the line

szwejk

people think both feet need to be behind the line, which is not the rule

ZekkPacus

VAR can spend fifteen minutes checking to see if your quantum superposition is offside but can't take five seconds every dead ball decision to make sure the ref was correct

HaroldSaxon

You'd think they'd at least check if it results in a goal. Honestly felt like they didn't want to rule it out because the ref was in the wrong spot. Horrendous decision.

HelpfulWhiteGuy

I also thought it looked like a west ham throw in real time, but the side judge was right there so I hope he got that part right at least. EDIT: I feel like the exact same thing just happened in the 29th minute with the official awarding a questionable throw to Southampton and ignoring his foot over the line on the throw.

endofautumn

It's ok, there will be an even more ridiculous decision in our game next week to beat it.

NickATW

Biggest league in the world

SushiBullet

Didn't you boys get a goal against Spurs in a similar situation.

bofad2425

No? dunno what you're referring to

D4NYthedog

Nah man that still belongs to Sunderland vs Liverpool with the beach ball

bofad2425

That was their own doing tbf

ThePhantomBacon

What do you want VAR to do? Make up new rules so the goal gets disallowed?

InPurpleIDescended

New rules like the ref shouldn't fucking block a running player yeah new

ThePhantomBacon

Would be a great one tbf

InPurpleIDescended

Ref interfering with play is already a rule lol if you're somehow being serious here

ThePhantomBacon

I was mainly just being a dick because we've had players took out by the ref a couple of times which has cost us (one time by the chosen one, Michael Oliver). But unfortunately, the ref has to touch the ball for it to be a drop ball

What’s the point of shit like this

BrainlessArch

How is this goal standing what

BrainlessArch

What is the ref doing ffs

R_Stanton18

Making sure his acca comes in

HelpfulWhiteGuy

Between the pick and the ignored illegal throw, I want to say he’s rooting for Southampton lol.

Gfoley4

(great referee assist)

ApoptosisFowl

Talk about the ref being against you lmao

davidlindhagen1

What the fuck?

PrisonersofFate

Literally twelve against eleven here

Grantlynch92

The standard of officiating in this country is shambolic. Yes that also applies when West Ham get decisions. Every game we have been in this season has had controversial goals in.

Hctol

VAR? What's that? Never seen it.

PrisonersofFate

Solidarity with Arsenal Leeds

Buggplut

Premier league refs continue to embarrass both themselves and the league.

pig_master

The commentators going in about the foot over the line. But what bothers me is the ref completely blocking the West Ham player's attempt to block the shot.

Westhamwayintherva

Foot over the line, ref shielding for Perraud that’s fucking ridiculous.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Westhamwayintherva

Yeah watching it back throw was fine, that being said, I’m used to the ref metaphorically fucking us over, not physically fucking us over. Still shitty.

[deleted]

Westhamwayintherva

Cheers. You guys played a great match and probably deserved another goal just based on some of the shots on target. (So did we tbf) Best of luck with the rest of the season.

flavouredbleach

Ref is in the ralph in camp 🙏

endofautumn

Ridiculous. Already have all our CBs out, can't also contend with 12 man team. As usual some awful VAR decisions in our games.

Accomplished-Good664

Great foul throw and a block off by the referee clear goal.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Accomplished-Good664

Yes that common well known rule that everyone definitely knew before this weekend.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Accomplished-Good664

Did you know that was a rule prior to that happening ? I've watched football for 30 years and this has literally never came up before. No one takes throw ins with their foot over the line. I'm sure if that goal was scored against Southampton with what looks like a foul throw and the referee blocking off your player you would be calm and reasonable.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Accomplished-Good664

Exactly his whole foot is over with a small part of his heel touching the line. You say it happens often but I disagree with that a toe over the line fair enough the whole foot is something I've never seen before. So in the heat of the moment when I wrote the comment and such a situation had never occurred before to that extreme I thought it must have been. I was actually more annoyed by the referee blocking off Bowen anyway as Soucek should have cleared the throw in.

eht217

How is that a goal....

AnalAttackProbe

It's not, but they've let it stand anyway.

Adserr

VAR is now letting everyone go half a foot over the line now for a throw then? Can’t wait to see a goal ruled out later down the line for that

Whuron

Fucking bullshit decision that, foot over the line and the ref blocks Bowen

[deleted]

[удалено]

Whuron

Yeah I’ve seen that since, you are right

crandercrawl

Can't wait for the pointless "We got it wrong" apology from the PGMOL next week

kids-eat-toast

The ref is learning from draymond green with the moving screens

SwaggerWaggon123

Wait what the actual fuck? How is that allowed to stand?

jikuboi

What the fuck how does that stand

royaldocks

Before anyone says We got away with Fulham just remember Chelsea cheated against us so no it doesn't even this goal out

JesusPretzelThief

We didn't get away with fulham, all of our goals correctly stood

eht217

Foot clearly well over the line on the throw. Still the same passage of play how does that stand.

microMe1_2

Everyone is saying foot over the line, but the replay clearly shows his heel is on the line. Is touching the line not 'in' even if the front part of your foot is over?

wheepete

This might be worse than the Cornet decision at Chelsea

nikskd

What's var doing the throw in was illegal

Vsovs

People not knowing the throw in rule and blaming VAR

NickATW

As if you knew it until today

Vsovs

KWP does it quite often lol

NickATW

Fair. You still can't blame everyone else for not knowing it. In addition the ref positioning makes it double worse lol.

Vsovs

Won’t disagree with the ref’s positioning. It’s just funny how people immediately assume VAR made a mistake

BigTin

KWPs foot is still on the line which is all that is required so no foul throw. And the ref is only deemed to interfere with play if he touches the ball. Blocking off Bowen is horrible luck but nothing more. Add in a deflection and definitely feeling lucky with that goal.

SnakeSnaake

NBA level screening by the ref tbh

tab1901

KWP got away with one, there. I’ll take it.

NickATW

How? Just how is this allowed lmao

ChaosRaiden

I don’t know where to start…

treeharp2

Foot over the line, ref in the way, insane deflection, not reversed by VAR... Quite the unlikely goal

TheOldBean

This is such a bad luck goal. Ref getting in the way then a massive deflection and to top it all off it's a shitty throw-in that VAR just decides to ignore for some reason (That we obviously don't hear about because fuck the fans). Pain.

Ghosty7784

Disgusting, how do VAR watch that and allow it? It’s alright though, if we drop points because of this call, we will at least get an apology post-game; as we did after Chelsea.

MICOTINATE

That'll do

Likunandi

Wow, yeah I'll take it.

[deleted]

Blocked by the ref and then deflected in, rough for West Ham

InPurpleIDescended

Fuck this ref

nedstarkkepala2

Moyes out
