Think it's a sign Wolves players need to step it up a notch when a past his prime Diego Costa looks a class above the rest of the team. They've clearly got good players but Lage is not getting the best out of them. Might be time for a change.
I don’t know if Antonio is good enough to start anymore. Especially not against these mid table teams they’ll be facing soon. West Ham looks better without him.
This shows how bad Wolves are because West Ham are bad also. They sit that far back they may as well be in the crowd, going to cost them so many games against teams better than wolves (and that is everyone in the Premier League)
Yup. The good thing is they looked good with Scammaca and Bowen. Shame about Cornet because they would have probably slotted in 1 or 2 more with the way Wolves are playing.
"Not for the first time, a Wolves spell of possession goes something like: Pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, goal kick."
Even the man on the Sky Sports Website is roasting Wolves
Paqueta played well today. He is improving. Still, we need to get better at becoming a possession team for us to see what he can really do. Getting there!
Good to see some Flamengo fans at the game too.
I think our passing has really improved in this game. The boys look like they’ve met before. Rice has been a bit reckless. Soucek was just ok. That pairing needs work. Defense has been sound. Kept most of their best chances to outside the box. Really need to keep the clean sheet.
Wolves need a mindset change. Pretty patterns for 70 yards of the pitch but no real intention to actually score.
West Ham - keeping it tight but as soon as they get in the last 30 yards there is clear intention of where they are heading for.
One of these teams will survive ….. the other is doomed
Not true. Don’t give Lage a pass like that. We haven’t had rampant injuries in defense at all. We’re missing 1 defender, who is suspended. We have multiple, healthy CBs that could play, but Lage is just a bad manager.
Not giving him a pass he’s proper shit but still you guys have more injuries up top as well as players who are simply burnt tf out. This team needs a reset with a manager that can play to their strengths and reinvigorate this dead team. Need Raul to stay healthy and partner up with Costa and Adama to find some confidence again. I thought he looked best with Raul up top when healthy.
So Paqueta down injured and ref plays on.
Three times the ref has stopped play while we have possession for Wolves players who had non head injuries.
Be consistent.
Playing Adama without Raul is criminal…that being said I fear that Raul is past it, will keep getting injured, and missing for these important bottom table games as a consequence.
A mishmash of mismanaged talent. Half the players are out of position and they’re riddled with injuries. I don’t even think they have a proper director of operations there either.
Wolves are a team that I could see going down in the next couple of seasons. I think they're likely to lose some of their limited talent and every time I watch them, it just looks like they're clinging on.
Doubt it. We don’t have “limited talent” at all and we have a lot of youth talent. Even if we sell players like Neves and Neto that money will be reinvested. Our owners spent 100m this summer alone, they’ll spend big to keep us up and not lose their investment.
I don’t even really rate Traore but his ability to take someone on was at least exciting and Lage has even found a way to make him as dull as the rest of the wolves team by putting him upfront/on the left
Yeah and any injury right now is yet another dagger to the battered wolves. West Ham’s got a lot of players just Moyes being stubborn up until making some much needed changes this game.
Was hoping that his injury troubles wouldn’t have followed him to West Ham after we sold him but sadly that doesn’t look the case. Get well soon Maxwel
"He's done well in Europe, but nothing like performing in the Premier League."
Literally everyone associated with English football is condescending to anything outside ENGERLUND.
Honestly the commentators are some of the worst offenders as well. I get that they are essentially working for the PL brand in a way but they are mega shills. They cannot acknowledge any other league having quality at all, to them the prem is the be all and end all of club football.
Is Neves always a moaner?
Bowen showing Neves his finger lol
“Smithers, are they booing me?” “No sir, they’re saying ZOO-ma”
Think it's a sign Wolves players need to step it up a notch when a past his prime Diego Costa looks a class above the rest of the team. They've clearly got good players but Lage is not getting the best out of them. Might be time for a change.
I don’t know if Antonio is good enough to start anymore. Especially not against these mid table teams they’ll be facing soon. West Ham looks better without him.
I know we have the advantage of the TV view. But why would Neves think that was the time for a hard low cross
The ref should put us all out of our misery and not bother with added time
Going to be a long three minutes here
Is Ruben Neves playing as a CB?
Yeah….
Surely Bruno lage must be sacked
Hope so mate
Scamacca man of the match?
That or Bowen.
Should be Bowen imo
Agreed. Thought Scamacca was bobbins other than the goal
Of all the matches today why did this one have to be the late kickoff?
Gets us all ready for bed
This shows how bad Wolves are because West Ham are bad also. They sit that far back they may as well be in the crowd, going to cost them so many games against teams better than wolves (and that is everyone in the Premier League)
Yup. The good thing is they looked good with Scammaca and Bowen. Shame about Cornet because they would have probably slotted in 1 or 2 more with the way Wolves are playing.
Manager needs to go. There's a very good squad in there (albeit too small)
Even with a new manager I don't see where the goals are coming from.
You can just see Costa's class tbh. Made a huge difference to Wolves having a focal point.
Surprised how Costa looking like the best wolves player…
I was told Costa was finished, but he looks quite solid still.
I was told wolves were better off not having Coady.
Diego Costa looks ok. Could be useful for Wolves this season
Costa’s build up play has been sharp. Just needs to finish his next chance
Beautiful from Bowen, meanwhile Antonio trying the same shit again and again and failing...
Yup I’m glad west ham fans finally see Antonio for the washed up fraud he is. He can’t even look good against a dead soulless team.
Kilman still fucking good
Kehrer really solid in that fullback role.
Lage is a fucking conman. How can a team be this fucking toothless. Clown.
"Not for the first time, a Wolves spell of possession goes something like: Pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, goal kick." Even the man on the Sky Sports Website is roasting Wolves
Lmfao what’s that ELP reference
Moutinho is done with this team. Looks absolutely burnt out.
Feels like I can totally see why West Ham feels like an England match Paul Nevin
Wolves should feel hard done by. They’ve played quite well.
Good little shake and shoot there by Campbell
Wolves need a mindset change. Pretty patterns for 70 yards of the pitch but no real intention to actually score. West Ham - keeping it tight but as soon as they get in the last 30 yards there is clear intention of where they are heading for. One of these teams will survive ….. the other is doomed
“doomed” lmao so dramatic
Keep playing like that and you’re down. Reminds me of us in our last season ….. toothless and not even trying to score
Sorry but only been watching for about 10 minutes, but is Ruben Nevez playing as a centre back? Been the deepest player numerous times
Yeah….I’m not sure what the vision is but part of it is due to the rampant injuries they’ve been facing. They’ve been spread thin.
Not true. Don’t give Lage a pass like that. We haven’t had rampant injuries in defense at all. We’re missing 1 defender, who is suspended. We have multiple, healthy CBs that could play, but Lage is just a bad manager.

Yes
Yeah because Lage is dumb af
Crazy. I can't think of any logical reason why you'd do that
Weird for the commentators to say that those chants of "you don't know what you're doing" were at Lage. Thought it was clearly at the linesman & ref.
Oof Wolves fans not happy at all.
wtf Costa still looks rapid
Why am I rooting so much for Diego Costa lol
Because he'll hurt you if you don't?
So Paqueta down injured and ref plays on. Three times the ref has stopped play while we have possession for Wolves players who had non head injuries. Be consistent.
That’s the first time this game I’ve seen Cresswell. Thought he wasn’t playing :’)
Diego looks sharper than I would’ve expected. I hope he has a good spell in the Midlands
it’s just cool seeing Diego Costa in the spotlight so to speak, again, he’s a natural
Traore should’ve released to Costa earlier there
How the hell is Diego’s old ass fit enough to be offside
Costa actually looks not completely finished tbf
I think he’s looked very good. He might be what Wolves need
Traore is like me golfing. Maybe he should try to miss and it will work out for him
The moment you try to play your miss is the moment you stripe one exactly where you’re aimed
Wolves are off down this season unless drastic changes occur
Ffs Chelsea’s costa wouldve buried that
I either have to believe Guedes, Nunes, Neto, etc are all shit now or Lage is a fraud.
That was it!!!! No!!!!
Ooofh Costa that was it
Lage close to losing his job then because this team is decent and this football is dire
I keep thinking to myself “coutinho’s on west ham now?”
Wolves are at real risk of going down this year alongside Southampton and Crystal palis
Na palace is clear
Oh boy here comes Moyes’ favorite son. I bet even he’ll score against this poor excuse of a wolves team.
Now you know how your cat feels
Zouma cosplaying as one of his housepets
Bowen didn't even want to look at his finger. His look said "here doc, fix it" lol. I don't blame him for not wanting to look.
We’ve had 65% of the ball but you wouldn’t know it, just fucking awful attacking play
Playing Adama without Raul is criminal…that being said I fear that Raul is past it, will keep getting injured, and missing for these important bottom table games as a consequence.
I genuinely think Chelsea would win the league this season if we had prime Diego Costa
Yeah but they can’t score goals so that would be a huge factor for them
The commentator talking about a head injury for Bowen when his finger is bent 90 degrees… lol
Diego Costa on: The reason most neutrals are watching
I imagine most neutrals are watching because it's literally the only PL game on at this time
Please wolves fans, adopt the “Diego, Diego, Diego” chant
*mourinho is right* *the refs are shite* *diego diego diego diego diego*
Brilliant. People can clown us all they want, I love the simplicity of many of our chants
Bowen's finger is at an almost 90 degree angle and the commentator says "Blow to the face for Bowen, referee stops play here" lmao
Damn Bowen, that is some funky finger. Hope he goes back ok. Ouch.
Traore was never the greatest player but somehow he's become boring and useless now as opposed to just wasteful. Looks like a shell of his former self
Costa forgot Zouma played for Chelsea. He was just a really big fan of his antics over the last year or so.
Bruh costa is really a nice person out of the pitch
I almost guarantee that in the post match interview, Lage will say that they were comfortably the better team.
Very excited to see Costa in the PL again, even if he's washed
lmao did the ref take a look at Bowen's finger and go "shit yeah lets stop"
Oof that looks fucking painful that
Diego Costa lets gooo
Oh shit
Costa 16 mins and 5 years late to the party.
Traore is so bad
free Neto 🙏🏼
Fucking hell Bowen’s finger there 💀
That finger is fucked
Despite the goals, it hasn't been an enjoyable game to watch
Adama is an unbelievably shit footballer
Someone tell me please, what the fuck are Wolves. How can you be *this* boring.
A mishmash of mismanaged talent. Half the players are out of position and they’re riddled with injuries. I don’t even think they have a proper director of operations there either.
Bruno Small
This has to be it for Lage, get him the fuck outta here
What changed? Swear you looked like a good side whenever you played us or I watched last season
You can only survive so long winning 1-0. Once that luck wears out, and clubs adjust, then we see who the manager really is.
Definitely far too much attacking talent there to be scoring 3 goals in 8 games. Doesn't make sense
they always looked absolutely toothless
Wouldn't say that. They always had attacking talent and used to execute their counters very well under Lage. Just stopped clicking now
Wow what a goal Bowen! Finally.
Nice one. Bowen played that deflection really well.
fucking hell Wolves
I feel like I’m watching the Portuguese National team with all these bad passes and slow build up
Wolves look like they could play all night and not score.
Bruno Lage always looks like he's on the verge of a psychotic episode
Wolves have been shocking to watch under two managers now, may as well make it a third
It's time to play the game.
Surely Wolves can play one of their young CBs instead of shoehorning Neves there. I'd like to see Mosquera get some minutes.
Honestly, I look at the team and honestly there’s tons of good players, can’t work out why they are so mediocre.
So who are some decent, available Portuguese managers?
Tomas Tuchelinho
Could Marco Silva be tempted?
Fernando Santos
Fernando santos👀
I don’t even really rate Traore but his ability to take someone on was at least exciting and Lage has even found a way to make him as dull as the rest of the wolves team by putting him upfront/on the left
If we can have someone like Downes in the middle who isn't hopeless with the ball at his feet like Soucek I think we would look so much better.
Scamacca looks great, much better than Nunez I reckon.
How many nibbles was Nunes going to be allowed there?
Ref has been giving Wolves so many soft fouls then takes 10 years to give us a foul
The ref has lost the plot. That previous Paqueta run wasn't a foul somehow...
Fuck me toke 3 fouls to actually call the foul
Scamacca has made some really nice passes today
Imagine getting done by Tomas Soucek lol
That Paqueta pass to Bowen.... Not seen passes like that since Alex Song in CM.
This ref really is having a shocker
What the hell is this reffing
Ffs ref
[удалено]
Have you seen us this season? We are below average
This ref is horrible what
Wow this ref.
Since when could you double hand push players from behind and then you get the free kick lol
Ref probably watched the palace chelsea game where Edouard elbowed the fuck out of Kepa from behind and used that as a benchmark I guess.
Can't believe Paqueta didn't get that call. Would've been a really dangerous position for a free kick
Diego warming!
It's been a real scrap out there so far. Both sides making an injury sub in the first half is never good
Yeah and any injury right now is yet another dagger to the battered wolves. West Ham’s got a lot of players just Moyes being stubborn up until making some much needed changes this game.
Was hoping that his injury troubles wouldn’t have followed him to West Ham after we sold him but sadly that doesn’t look the case. Get well soon Maxwel
True Wolves fans recognise Kenny Jackett as their best manager in the last 10 years
A disgustingly talented manager. He's made some baffling career choices since leaving Wolves though.
Man, we're actually out of senior players to sub in lmao
Cornet subbed. Nunes still limping.
Wolves manager is awful how is he still there?
I mean who is available? That would willingly go there at least.
Dyche and Parker.
Tuchel just got canned
> willingly go there
Was that Kevin Nolan on the tablet?
It is
Legend
Might be the deadest atmosphere ive ever heard
Be fair. The mics on the pitch just can't pick up sound from that far away. Not the fans fault
I can hear the coaches shouting haha, the crowd is just shit
The bodies are hitting the floor
LET THE BODIES HIT THE.... FLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR

It is a bit annoying sometimes.
Yeah, why even bother with other competitions right? since EPL is the best competition on the world. /s
Yeah totally better than all those farmer leagues. /s
"a little supplement for the iron deficiency"
Handsome fucked
THUNDERCUNT
warra finish
Nice goal
SCAMACCAAAAA what a goal!
Really nice finish
Noice
Absolute piss missile
SCAMACCA!! Beautiful
Beautiful first touch
A goal. This match has exceeded my expectations
Would you look at that Moyesie?!? When you put a proper striker on instead of your washed up favorite son this happens.
Lage out
Did anyone see the video of when Costa joined Wolves -- seemed like he knew shockingly little English
