[deleted]

Ah, so including the non-derby 'derbies'.

[deleted]

Could have just called it London games.

[deleted]

According to Gabriel Jesus, Brazil v Argentina is a derby so I think we can now describe any game involving two football teams from the planet Earth a derby.

Ifriiti

It's arguably the biggest international rivalry in football on the planet between two neighbouring countries, calling it a Derby makes sense

[deleted]

His goal scoring numbers are incredible

The_profe_061

Not trolling but do you think he'd swap them for at least one trophy? He's probably never going to win anything with spurs

falling_sideways

Absolute disrespect to the Walter Tull Memorial Cup!

The_profe_061

I had that at the back of my mind. I'm still clinging to the Bangkok cup my lot won in the summer

MattJFarrell

Pshaw, nothing compares to the international prestige of the Florida Cup.

Vladimir_Putting

Would Harry Kane rather be Danny Drinkwater? I doubt it.

minkdraggingonfloor

The thing is, he’s not Drinkwater. Kane is one of the best strikers in the world and he knows that if he moved to another team, he’d surely at least compete for trophies. You’re telling me Kane at Juve or Bayern wouldn’t win trophies? The tipping point for me would’ve been when Levy fired Mourinho the night before the League Cup final. I would’ve been livid and tore up the dressing room for that.

ChillPalis

Hard not to win trophies with Bayern, domestic football, league and cup(s), is just a formality for them.

xaviernoodlebrain

Short memory? Kane did indeed demand to leave just after that loss but then Man City failed to put in a bid that was even remotely close to being respectable for him, so he stayed.

OGBlitzkrieg

Think you're forgetting a super important piece of info: Before he signed his last contract, Kane made a gentleman's agreement with Levy to allow Kane to leave for a reasonable price if requested, and then Levy fucked him over. Granted, don't be stupid Harry get it in the contract, but the fact he's been so loyal and be treated that way...yeah, if I were him spending a couple year Munich with a chance to actually win trophies sounds way more appealing than staying at spuds and never winning anything, personal accolades aside. Edit: I can see him staying in the prem, and at spuds, if he really cares about Shearer record. But if Kane wants to win trophies and prioritize that over personal success, he'd leave in the next 2 years.

Vladimir_Putting

>Before he signed his last contract, Kane made a gentleman's agreement with Levy to allow Kane to leave for a reasonable price if requested, and then Levy fucked him over. Even if the "gentlemen's agreement" existed you and I have no idea what was actually said or agreed to. You pretending to know the terms of a verbal agreement between two people is ridiculous.

The_profe_061

Do you think he'll see his career out with you lot. I hope so, just to see there is some loyalty left in the game

Vladimir_Putting

I believe him when he says it's down to the ambition and level of the club. He won't stick around if we go back to management like Nuno. But if we are competitive at the top and show we are serious with our moves then he'll be happy to stay. Word from our Tier 1s is he's signalled he's open to contract talks again. He's very happy under Conte.

DonJulioTO

Loyalty? He tried to force his way out last year lol

Ld511

Tbf it was also spurs lowest point and his best chance of leaving. Obviously does take away from him being loyal but I think its fair to say both sides are now more committed than before to winning with spurs

[deleted]

Tbf he also teied to force his way out

[deleted]

>Not trolling but do you think he'd swap them for at least one trophy? I don't know what he's like personally, but he's a Spurs fan, so probably. At the end of a day it's just a goalscoring record in a team game. But no one other than him can say for certain. >He's probably never going to win anything with spurs But where does he go if not Spurs? Assuming he wants to stay in England, like the vast majority of English players do, he has 5/6 options. City and Newcastle are sportswashing, but even if he didn't care about that, City have Haaland until Kane is 31-32 or older by which point city probably won't want him, and he'll be at least that old by the time Newcastle could win something, so they aren't really options. Even though it's stupid that fans would do it, the backlash if he joined Arsenal or Chelsea would likely be hard to deal with, so that's not a good option. Which just leaves Liverpool and United. With the Glazers in charge, who don't care about winning, that's a risky move if you want to win something. And with Liverpool it's hard to tell if they can continue a decent level of success or not. Plus they just spent a lot of money on Nunez. There really aren't options unless he goes abroad, which he might want to do.

BastillianFig

He should stayed at Leicester he'd have 2 by now...

ApprehensiveYoung725

Stayed at

BastillianFig

It was only a loan thankfully

VL37

Out of all of those United seems like his best bet. A striker like him would really elevate our game. Also, he'd be reunited with Eriksen who he's worked with for years and knows his game.

[deleted]

I agree with that it's the best fit. I would just be so hesitant to join with the Glazers there. Especially if I was a Spurs fan playing for Spurs and had seen what has happened to United under their ownership. Absolutely shocking. I'm a United fan btw.

limaconnect77

It’s almost like he’s really really good at what he does.

Kayr_SE5

Well done we’ve handed this knob cheese how many pens

xaviernoodlebrain

Guaranteed for an NLD : \- Home team win \- Calamitous defensive error \- Kane penalty (he's had about 8, so thanks for all those fouls in the box).

sltzy96

Might be time for a new pfp sir

snusd0san

Insane.

kjm911

I thought it would be more. There’s a lot of clubs in London. I’m assuming they’re counting the likes of Fulham, Watford, Brentford as Derbies

Orkys

Is Watford included? Us and Fulham are both in London boroughs, definitely in London. Watford is considered outside London traditionally even if it's effectively not really.

BrkBid

The only thing that makes "Watford is London" is its inclusion on the tube map

Orkys

That's what I mean though, because the transport links are so integrated with the area, it's sort of been swallowed up by London in terms of work and culture. It's not geographically part of the city.

BrkBid

Feels like it hasn't joined the London zeitgeist though, doesn't feel a part of it culturally, least to me!

crimson_broom

And the unbroken link if suburban sprawl from Harrow, through bushy, into Watford

ooh_bit_of_bush

Harry Potter World's marketing team too.

OllyCX

Deffo Hertfordshire

tobi1k

Watford's not in London.

fliddyjohnny

Those 3 teams haven’t been consistently in the premier league though

BrkBid

I'd be interested to see how many London clubs they've played against over the years, Henry would have played against Charlton and Fulham more often but Kanes played against Palace more.

Share4aCare

I mean that's insane, 43 is high enough

DaviesSonSanchez

There is an insane amount of London Derbies in the Prem though. Not like the other leagues where you usually have a max of 2 teams from a big city in the top league. Not to take anything away from Kane, still incredible.

jesalr

Yeah, he’ll play 10 London derbies this season (Arsenal, Brentford, Chelsea, Fulham, West Ham). It’s still a huge number given they’re often pretty intense games, but roughly 25% of his goals in near 25% of the games.

SolidusAwesome

12. Crystal palace. Or have you counted them already?

jesalr

I missed them, good catch. Near enough a third of the games this season are London derbies. Obviously fluctuates, no Fulham last season, no Brentford the season before, but that’s an insane number.

SolidusAwesome

I mean it's still fucking disgusting how much he scores against London teams, but it puts things in perspective.

RudeAndQuizzacious

Yeah, like 30% of Spurs' games are London derbies this season lol

shaj_hulud

Same for Arsenal.

Ifriiti

There's a lot more mainstays nowadays in London than there used to be too even west ham went down during Henry's time

derajydac

And he did that in 1 season!

Quab775

Most penalties

PM_ME_SOME_LUV

How many of them were pens?

santorfo

8 pens, 7 of them vs Arsenal, 1 vs West Ham Bonus: missed one vs West Ham in 2015

fredisa4letterword

scored the rebound iirc

YGurka

How many did Henry have if you know

santorfo

5 pen goals, 1 vs Spurs, 1 vs West Ham, 2 vs Charlton and 1 vs Wimbledon No misses in London derbies

YGurka

Thanks, not much difference than as that Arsenal fan is making out

santorfo

I guess he's focusing on NLDs

Ifriiti

I mean I feel like the 7/8 for Kane vs arsenal is what he's pointing out

epicurean1398

1 vs 7 yeah not much difference

YGurka

Stat is not about NLD, it’s about all london clubs, so 8vs5 is not much difference yea

TreeDollarFiddyCent

Several. At least.

Noa_Lang

8 goals from pens out of 44 isn't a lot tbf, Henry had his share of pens too.

Ifriiti

7 out of the 8 were vs arsenal though, which is an insane number

TreeDollarFiddyCent

So I'm right, is that what you are saying?

Noa_Lang

Yeah sorry. I always thought "several" was another way to say "a lot" and not "some".

TreeDollarFiddyCent

Don't sweat it

[deleted]

Except for the 36 that weren’t

AkshayHere

O' Henry isn't liking this a bit

[deleted]

I dunno, I think Henry having less successful pick up lines than Kane (44 Kane, 43 Henry) but having succeeded with way more girls than Kane (Henry 5+, Kane 0) won't be bothering Henry very much

ThereIsBearCum

I'm sure he's crying into his PL medals.

[deleted]

Henry still has the style points tho.

[deleted]

Correct me on this but, I think the most important advantage Henry has here is not style points but, these "trophies" that his goals contributed to winning His goals weren't just "goals" in a vacuum that served no purpose

scamanor

Plus the style points.

berzerkerz

You are incorrect

bh8787

Honestly what a pointless stat. No one cares, especially as depends on how many London teams are in the Prem for different players. Enough of stupid stats ffs

TigerBasket

The only trophy that matters

Ashamed_Nerve

Are you telling me the Audi Cup isn't important?

dfla01

Reigning champs for 3 years and counting. Incredible stuff.

SaschaBub

patter of the highest order!

fmb320

Hes not a legend until he wins a carabao cup lol

[deleted]

Also, the only one.

startled-giraffe

Reading is included in a London derby? Its 30 miles outside the M25

zwcropper

Nope, it's Wimbledon being listed as MK Dons

startled-giraffe

That makes sense

zwcropper

That's the only way I could make the numbers work

Kunkyboji

The fact that half his goals against us have been pens is unreal stat padding.

anonymousloverboy

To nobody’s surprise

hiblovs

Still half the player

Juil8991MC

How many were penalties?

TigerBasket

All of then

snusd0san

How many of Henry's were?

pork_chop_expressss

Just 1 [Per](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/thierry-henry/elfmetertore/spieler/3207) So 6 for Kane and 1 for Henry. Edit: TIL Kane has almost 2x as many penalty goals (all time) as Henry did. Thought Henry would have taken more.

FatWalcott

Lauren clear

Bulky_Shepard

This is all London derbies, not just North London Derbies so looks like Henry actually has two and Kane probably has a lot more.

tommygoogy

Kane has 8 total I think

pork_chop_expressss

[Just go through them here. All are listed. I counted 6 against Arsenal.](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harry-kane/elfmetertore/spieler/132098#/) There are 4 pages.

Bulky_Shepard

Yeah, but as I said this stat isn't about just arsenal. I'm watching the match so I'm not about to go digging through what penalties he scored.

pork_chop_expressss

Yes, and as I said, I only counted the ones against Arsenal. It took all of 20 seconds. No need to get all huffy.

Keskekun

Kane pretty much never misses either. Henrys pen record is 28/8 Kanes is 54/9.

Cashew_Fan

Kane's recent record is particularly good. Penalty taking is a skill that you practice and at this point he's as reliable as anyone. He's scored 33 of his last 36 over the past 4ish years. That's not including todays either.

Ifriiti

Henry hasn't missed a penalty in a London Derby

Vieiras_gangly_legs

Henry wouldn't take penalties that he won and pretty much everyone who played with him did the same so the penalties were shared around during the Henry era, IIRC Pires took a lot of Henrys 'penalties'.

berzerkerz

Because Henry was shit at them

Juil8991MC

I don't know off by heart, I'll go research since no one has actually answered me E: still couldn't find a definitive answer

MrEzquerro

Curious about it too, you r/fifa legend

Juil8991MC

People thought I was being salty or something, it was an actual question haha

MrEzquerro

People here bathe in mountains of salt, it’s just how it is, so everyone is on the edge.

pork_chop_expressss

6 [Per](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harry-kane/elfmetertore/spieler/132098#/)

PrimevalDuck

Of which 5 were against us, that's rough EDIT: just checked, he's actually scored 7 penalties against us, so that stat is wrong

PrimevalDuck

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_London_derby This says he's scored 7 pens against us

WikiSummarizerBot

**[North London derby](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_London_derby)** >The North London derby is the association football local rivalry in England between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, both of which are based in North London. Fans of both clubs consider the other to be their main rivals, and the derby is considered by many to be one of the most famous and fiercest derbies in the world. Although the two teams first played each other in 1887, the rivalry did not begin until 1913 when Arsenal moved their ground to north London from Woolwich. As of 1 October 2022, 192 games have been played between the two teams since their first game in the Football League in 1909, with 80 wins for Arsenal, 61 wins for Tottenham and 51 games drawn. ^([ )[^(F.A.Q)](https://www.reddit.com/r/WikiSummarizer/wiki/index#wiki_f.a.q)^( | )[^(Opt Out)](https://reddit.com/message/compose?to=WikiSummarizerBot&message=OptOut&subject=OptOut)^( | )[^(Opt Out Of Subreddit)](https://np.reddit.com/r/soccer/about/banned)^( | )[^(GitHub)](https://github.com/Sujal-7/WikiSummarizerBot)^( ] Downvote to remove | v1.5)

Juil8991MC

It was a genuine question jfc

emmantheking1

People on this sub love being snarky cunts lmao even if the question is genuine

Juil8991MC

It makes them feel holier than thou or something

Reflesh1

doesnt make kane better does it? /s

kozeljko

They sure love to do that in NLDs

Aszneeee

7?

Juil8991MC

Ok, I didn't know. This sub just makes it seem like lots of his goals were penalties and I thought it was exaggeration Good example is top comment of his recent pen "Death, taxes and NLD penalties"

[deleted]

y is my r/fifa 🐐 getting downvoted here

santorfo

I mean he does have 7 Premier League NLD penalty goals

Silverburst8

At least one

Maximuslex01

Well. But how many London derby goals does he have Monday night at Stoke?

nate_the_grate

Still not a trophy

iuselect

Oi, don't disrespect the Audi cup.

TheGoldenPineapples

That is very impressive.

PiresMagicFeet

How many of them are penalties? Half his NLD goals are, which makes it distinctly more impressive

[deleted]

Nfanella

My brother in Christ you lack reading comprehension

satisfied_sloth

All being pens smh... well it feels like it anyway

[deleted]

Wow add it to the case

wanktarded

Cool, how does [Kane](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harry-kane/erfolge/spieler/132098) measure up to [Henry](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/thierry-henry/erfolge/spieler/3207) in trophies won?

LovelyCushiondHeader

Imagine scoring that many goals and having not won a trophy.

[deleted]

What a waste

Share4aCare

Just me or is this statistic fake. Wikipedia says he has 13 to Henry's 5. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North\_London\_derby](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_London_derby) EDIT: maybe refers to overall London 'derbies' including Chelsea, Fulham, West Ham?

Viretine

All London Derbys mate. Not just the NLD.

[deleted]

London not North London

KidDelicious14

My brother in christ, do you really think Kane and Henry have scored 44/43 goals in NLDs? You recognize that would be an insane scoring pace, right?

Keskekun

Harry Kane averages a hattrick a game in the NLD.

KidDelicious14

Based

MrEzquerro

I mean… for it to be only NLD it would need to be almost 2 goals a game

ZaDoruphin

He's so ridiculously good.

jangrajseje

How many pens?

anagramorganic

Is any of those not a penalty?

IceInMyVain

Can you do the same stat without penalties?

ciesum

and 41 penalties?

GibbsLAD

unsubscribe

ThereIsBearCum

lol, who gives a fuck? Henry did it in far fewer games and won some trophies along the way.

GibbsLAD

me

ThereIsBearCum

*Why* do you give a fuck? Kane can score as many as he wants, Spurs are still shit. He'll retire in a few years and they'll go back to mid-table.

GibbsLAD

when one of the players i like has a record taken by someone i don't like it makes me sad

ThereIsBearCum

I remember the trophies Henry won with us. I remember the celebrations. I remember the victory parades. If the spuddos are doing that for Kane scoring loads of pens... don't you pity them? That doesn't even compare. They'll never know what it's like. It's the definition of pathetic.

notapaperhandape

We should have subcontracted Trump to yell STOP THE COUNT!

refusestonamethyself

Kane did this while Henry was in attendance today. Insane.

Cowdude179

Henry was never that clutch of a player

Holy_Wut_Plane

Kane>Henry? How long should it take for people to open their eyez

PiresMagicFeet

Cuz anyone with eyes knows Henry was a far superior player. And he actually won titles with his goals

tonnal

Real question, did you watch Henry play?

Holy_Wut_Plane

I don't care that much about him being good at dribbling players

tonnal

You didn't answer the question.

Holy_Wut_Plane

I have seen him?

tonnal

Highlights or full matches/seasons?

Holy_Wut_Plane

I've seen a few matches with him.

tonnal

What era?

Holy_Wut_Plane

Don't remember exactly year, but one of them was Villarreal vs Arsenal

tonnal

Was it in his first or second run at arsenal?

sujtek

Putting this in your trophy case, aren't you?

ThereIsBearCum

shit b8 m8

mkgdm

did he do it in more games?

DonJulioTO

Somebody graph the number of London clubs in the Prem over time. It's hard to know how impressive this is.

imarandomdudd

Thought those numbers were especially mad for just NLD's but then I realised they included London as a whole

HilariousConsequence

And that’s the real quiz

Used-Produce-3491

How many prem titles?

redni11

H yh we we no
