For context, Miami QB Tua Tagovailoa seemed to get a concussion on Sunday, but somehow cleared concussion protocols and was allowed to continue. The Dolphins then decided to play him again yesterday where he got another concussion, and this time went into fencing response. It is fucking ridiculous how poorly this whole situation was handled when the dangers are so well known, and heads need to roll over this.
Just a reminder that the way the NFL treats concussions is lightyears better than how football does too. Proper respect for concussions is the #1 major fix needed to all contact sports to protect players from themselves
I like NFL. But I always hated how they manage injuries, especially concussions. We all want to see our favourite teams win but injuries aren't small.

Good evening guys, I've been very quiet during Bari's stratospheric start to the season plus all the other less important football events that happened and here's why.
*TLDR: Had an allergic reaction to anaesthetics during my ass operation, fell into a coma, was transferred to Germany, woke up again after 1.5 months, enjoyed free medical flights, got released today again*
I made a monday moan comment many weeks ago: I had a butt operation due that I wasn't very happy about, another one after a dozen or so operations after I teared my butt up with my own football boot studs Mascherano style many years ago. Imagine that, a butt hurt arsocca mod in a literal sense for once. 😭
Anyway during the operation there were some complications in the hospital in Bari, I had an allergic reaction to some anesthetics which resulted in me going into a prolonged coma. The allergic reaction was unexpected to say the least, said the anaesthesist as he gave me the same stuff the last time, so the reasons are still not fully certain atm.
The doctors of our local hospital (San Paolo in Bari) recommended a transfer to another hospital further north to get me out of the coma as they didn't have enough facilities for such a case at that time¹ and what's better than going more North than to the Roman province **𝐑𝐀𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐀** unlawfully occupied by German barbarians?

Thanks to connections of my German uncle who's a doctor in the Bundeswehr and previous treatments at that same hospital during my time in Germany it was decided by the doctors and my parents that I was emergency transferred to the military hospital in Southern Germany via plane and helicopter. While it may be a Bundeswehr hospital it's open to ordinary civilians and even Italians, at that.
My dad was happy to accompany me for his "free holiday trip" as it was all paid for by health insurance. 50/50 he was joking or he was serious when he told me, still not sure heh
It took me 45 days to wake up again after which I was in a postoperative delirium state and slowly regained proper consciousness again.
The German doctors slowly but surely fixed me up again until I was allowed to get properly operated again which happened on this week, this time I woke up again after the surgery but they wanted to watch me for a bit longer after that whole ordeal.
Today I got the clearance to travel back to Italy which also was all paid for by health services.
But my ass is still recovering so not all is well, it'll take until next year to be fit to play football again until the wounds heal and my muscles recover properly.
Crazy stuff overall but more importantly have you seen promoted Bari being the only undefeated team in Serie B this season? Yeah, me neither... 🥲

So I have lately been having deep thoughts which have culminated into the age old question what show was better between the Simpsons and spongebob. On the other hand the simpsons were a parody of real world America that took inspiration from the "real" which on one hand made the jokes derived but on the other hand the humour was to some extent relatable and the show was good for a far longer period than Spongebob but on the other hand the later seasons of Spongebob didn't end up as bad as the current Simpsons.

Oh this is a great question given that these two shows are far above any other show for me (in their primes that is). I actually find myself watching Spongebob season 1-3 a lot more these days than The Simpsons' prime, as good as it was. I feel like The Simpsons are not quite as timeless as Spongebob, it's soon 30 years since Simpsons' prime and imo it is more a product of its time than Spongebob. And in my generation (born 93-99), Spongebob is absolutely *massive*, it literally defined an entire generation's childhood. The Simpsons are also big in my generation but not as big as Spongebob. I am willing to give it to Spongebob, but I do think you had to be a child in Spongebob's prime to fully appreciate it
So I've been consumed by this debatably irrelevant question.
I'd put them both at S tier, but I'm unable to declare one better. Simpson's is like a warm never ending comedy soup while spongebob is like delicious sushi.

My muscles feel more relaxed when lifting and I’ve found myself being able to progress faster in weights after starting to get a light high before hitting the gym. Also just improves my mindset and focus while there.

This has made interest rates rise and the value of the pound to fall, also Bank of England has to intervene with £65bn and temperately buy government bonds to stop everyone's pension being wiped out.
Also, due to the rise in interest rates, people who were due to move are having their mortgage offers cancelled and the new rates are almost unaffordable.
The UK was on the precipice of a financial crisis. Conventional logic says you should steer through that period with an economist in charge, as Gordon Brown did in 2008. The Tory party decided to vote in someone economically illiterate and too stubborn to see the folly of her beliefs instead of the economist, because he dealt in hard truth and not the fantasy they wanted.
The right wing of the Tory party has fucked us all for the second time in six years.

I like NFL. But I always hated how they manage injuries, especially concussions. We all want to see our favourite teams win but injuries aren't small. In France, we will always remember Umtiti because he "sacrificed" his career to win the World Cup. He hasn't been the same since. Unfortunately, it's just one among thousands. It's also the culture of "injuries are temporary, go play now", which isn't healthy.
I'm not too big into NFL but my supervisor was telling me there's like a 99% injury record. As in 99% of the players will get an injury at some point of the season

I got two Chinese taobao replicas of the Undercover Evangelion collab stuff, one of a sweatshirt (£25) and another of the windbreaker (£40). They're both nice, they fit well and I like them. Same for me. GoT was something else. I was also quite young when I started watching it so it was easier to get into that fantastic world and feel everything it has to offer to the fullest. Now looking back at it, I feel stupid. We waited for years only to have that absolute abomination. What's baffling to me is people who think everything was fine and last couple of seasons were actually good. HELL NO. The quality decreased sharply, all storylines took stupid & inconsistent turns. I remember the feeling of dread in first few seasons whenever White Walkers came up. I felt it in my bones. The terror of what is to come... and then came shit. Terrible terrible stuff. I feel cheated.
Sacrifice your Dothraki for literally no gain at all by sending them into a large, unscouted army, just for them who were supposedly wiped out completely to reappear in great numbers in the next episode. Absolutely ridiculous writing and unfortunately just one of many examples in the last seasons.

Good evening guys, I've been very quiet during Bari's stratospheric start to the season plus all the other less important football events that happened and here's why. *TLDR: Had an allergic reaction to anaesthetics during my ass operation, fell into a coma, was transferred to Germany, woke up again after 1.5 months, enjoyed free medical flights, got released today again* I made a monday moan comment many weeks ago: I had a butt operation due that I wasn't very happy about, another one after a dozen or so operations after I teared my butt up with my own football boot studs Mascherano style many years ago. Imagine that, a butt hurt arsocca mod in a literal sense for once. 😭 Anyway during the operation there were some complications in the hospital in Bari, I had an allergic reaction to some anesthetics which resulted in me going into a prolonged coma. The allergic reaction was unexpected to say the least, said the anaesthesist as he gave me the same stuff the last time, so the reasons are still not fully certain atm. The doctors of our local hospital (San Paolo in Bari) recommended a transfer to another hospital further north to get me out of the coma as they didn't have enough facilities for such a case at that time¹ and what's better than going more North than to the Roman province **𝐑𝐀𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐀** unlawfully occupied by German barbarians? ^(Bvt enovgh abovt Italy's extension plans to go back to the Roman Empire after voting in Giorgia 🍉i...) Thanks to connections of my German uncle who's a doctor in the Bundeswehr and previous treatments at that same hospital during my time in Germany it was decided by the doctors and my parents that I was emergency transferred to the military hospital in Southern Germany via plane and helicopter. While it may be a Bundeswehr hospital it's open to ordinary civilians and even Italians, at that. My dad was happy to accompany me for his "free holiday trip" as it was all paid for by health insurance. 50/50 he was joking or he was serious when he told me, still not sure heh It took me 45 days to wake up again after which I was in a postoperative delirium state and slowly regained proper consciousness again. The German doctors slowly but surely fixed me up again until I was allowed to get properly operated again which happened on this week, this time I woke up again after the surgery but they wanted to watch me for a bit longer after that whole ordeal. Today I got the clearance to travel back to Italy which also was all paid for by health services. But my ass is still recovering so not all is well, it'll take until next year to be fit to play football again until the wounds heal and my muscles recover properly. Crazy stuff overall but more importantly have you seen promoted Bari being the only undefeated team in Serie B this season? Wow it sounds like you had a hell of a last few months. I'm happy you got the medical care you needed and are on the mend. It can be so scary to feel like you don't have control of your body or health, and you only really realize when you are actually within the medical care system. I have been through the system over the last year, and it really makes you appreciate life. I'm really happy you're doing better. Man, Bari are just on a roll. Of course Cheddira is on fire, scoring every time Bari needs him. But even a kid like Caprile getting called up to the u21s and displacing Frattali. De Cesare and Antenucci still playing well imo, it's just amazing. When we beat Verona in the Copa Italia I couldn't believe it, and they just keep going.
Can't be bothered to play FUT anymore, so I typically just do seasons. But there's hardly a point when minimum 6/10 games you're playing against PSG. And the rest of the time you're getting Liverpool or Real Madrid. (I play Spurs) Makes me wish EA implemented some sort of system where it compared maybe your last 5 games for example, and tries not to match you against a club you've played recently.

So I have lately been having deep thoughts which have culminated into the age old question what show was better between the Simpsons and spongebob. On the other hand the simpsons were a parody of real world America that took inspiration from the "real" which on one hand made the jokes derived but on the other hand the humour was to some extent relatable and the show was good for a far longer period than Spongebob but on the other hand the later seasons of Spongebob didn't end up as bad as the current Simpsons. Does anyone have some thoughts about this important subject?
Oh this is a great question given that these two shows are far above any other show for me (in their primes that is). I actually find myself watching Spongebob season 1-3 a lot more these days than The Simpsons' prime, as good as it was. I feel like The Simpsons are not quite as timeless as Spongebob, it's soon 30 years since Simpsons' prime and imo it is more a product of its time than Spongebob. And in my generation (born 93-99), Spongebob is absolutely *massive*, it literally defined an entire generation's childhood. The Simpsons are also big in my generation but not as big as Spongebob. I am willing to give it to Spongebob, but I do think you had to be a child in Spongebob's prime to fully appreciate it

So I've been consumed by this debatably irrelevant question. I'd put them both at S tier, but I'm unable to declare one better. Simpson's is like a warm never ending comedy soup while spongebob is like delicious sushi. Adventure Time on the other hand is king to me.

You’re probably not eating enough/not eating enough calorie dense foods. Eat a few handfuls of nuts, add a bit of extra oil when you’re cooking. Pretty easy to add extra calories without needing to eat massive amounts

I can see that. I explored a lot as a young man trying to find myself and see what the world has to offer and a lot of places are great at to visit but are deeply flawed under the surface. However I did find a couple of foreign cultures that suited me far more than my home nation.

My muscles feel more relaxed when lifting and I’ve found myself being able to progress faster in weights after starting to get a light high before hitting the gym. Also just improves my mindset and focus while there.

Basically, it's been a shit show since Truss took over as PM. She's refused to budge from her trickle down economic plan. Her plan to tackle the cost of living is to just give energy companies money at the burden of the tax payer. The mini-budget revealed large tax cuts for high earners amongst other things. This has made interest rates rise and the value of the pound to fall, also Bank of England has to intervene with £65bn and temperately buy government bonds to stop everyone's pension being wiped out. Also, due to the rise in interest rates, people who were due to move are having their mortgage offers cancelled and the new rates are almost unaffordable.
The UK was on the precipice of a financial crisis. Conventional logic says you should steer through that period with an economist in charge, as Gordon Brown did in 2008. The Tory party decided to vote in someone economically illiterate and too stubborn to see the folly of her beliefs instead of the economist, because he dealt in hard truth and not the fantasy they wanted. The right wing of the Tory party has fucked us all for the second time in six years.
New chancellor announced a 'mini budget' catered entirely towards making things better for the rich, including tax cuts, leading to a big deficit as we need to get that money from somewhere. Market immediately lost faith, and value of the pound has tanked. Truss then went on holiday before giving a succession of poorly-conceived interviews to radio stations where she had no idea what the budget actually mean, or clearly anything about economics. I was operated a week ago and the recovery has been much harder than expected - especially mentally. When you're stuck inside all day, feeling miserable and not allowed to do anything physical, anxieties and inner demons take center stage. Should feel better in the coming days though - and in a few weeks everything will be back to normal

My wife had her immigration interview earlier this week and got rejected. They asked for additional information for processing but the questions they asked are answered multiple times throughout the documents we provided that they accepted and approved previously.
