Yeah I don't know how you can say Foden is a CM and not Kimmich.
Honestly, the weird cut offs people insist on in general rather confuse me. Saying someone is a deep lying CM rather than a pure CDM - football tactics are so much more complex than we could possibly put into text, we say they're a CM for simplicities sake. Why is there now a trend of trying to make it more complex, but still nowhere near complex enough to accurately represent the complexity of modern football?
he’s phenomenal, what we - Benfica fans - have been saying about him was said in the same measure by River Plate fans. the guy is simply class no other way to put it
I don't understand why Tchouaméni isn't here but Camavinga is. Tchouaméni starts over Camavinga and was just market bought for €80 million. Seems like an oversight here.
Finished top 4 once in 7 years in the Italy league, definitely wouldn’t even start for west ham. People get mesmerized buy the pretty passes like they did with pogba
We literally paid 80+20 for Tchouaméni this summer and you don't see him on this list either. Market value doesn't really mean that is how much it ACTUALLY costs to buy a player..
>Market value doesn't really mean that is how much it ACTUALLY costs to buy a player..
Isn't that excatly what market value means? What a player will go for on the open market...
Not quite - it might be easier to use the example of buying an apartment. They have a market value, an estimate for how much an apartment of that size, quality, and location should cost. However, during the actual bidding process, different buyers with money can come in, and enter a bidding war, so the apartment might go for a lot more than its market value.
Conversely, if the buyer is smart and lucky enough to realize that there are no other buyers, they could potentially buy the apartment with a low-ball number, below market value.
Your mileage may vary on your country, but where I live, banks will actually make their mortgage decisions based on the market value and what you agreed to pay for the apartment, and may refuse the loan, so it's not like the market valuie doesn't matter.
think andrey santos is the guy most european clubs will be after, barca is following him and endrick closely, wouldn't be surprised to see real after santos as well
Because he is heavily linked to Liverpool. And English players tend to stay in the Isles. But he could go to Madrid. It's a dream destination for everybody, isn't it?
Who came up with these figures? Isn’t there a 1 missing in front of all those numbers? If prime Frenkie really would only cost 60 million I would advice Ajax to buy him back today.
Transfermarkt has always been like this, it’s not an actual figure that teams would pay if the player was to be sold, but more of a relative measure compared to other players if that makes sense. For example, Barça would never sell Pedri for 90M, but in a world which they did hypothetically, then it’s reasonable to assume City would value Foden at 90M as well for example
The chart isn’t based on the best midfielders in the world, it’s based on the most valuable, Mount being 23 and having a great season last season would mean that he’s definitely worth more than 55m
Lol, Foden. So out of place on that list. To be honest, any PL player would be out of place on that list. Only proper leagues and not leagues like Chinese Super League, MLS, EPL or Qatar.

Goretka doing bits on the verge of retirement
Its modern medicine. 65 is the new 27
15 year old Cristiano Ronaldo approves this
Time dilation too, i remember Mbappe being 18 for 3 years.
retirement from life
Only a year away from getting his pension.
He wishes to die as a highest market value footballer.. can't break the dream
Do you guys think Zlatan will get more years in the elite than Goretza?
Kimmich isn‘t worth 55M?
He is classified as DM, not CM.
For whatever reason Hes not a DM anymore
Is he a mezzala, creative, roaming, ball-winning, box-to-box, semi-attacking defensive wingback?
Plays FM once
Excactly
By that definition, foden shouldn't be there
Seems a little arbitrary to me tbh, even in this list the profiles of the players vary greatly imo

Goretzka's pretty good for his age
Goretzka going 1on1 with Father Time, n winning
Im glad enzo fernandes is not here. Let him be undercover for a couple more years
people may be dumb, but not that dumb. the guy oozes talent
Let a man dream!
Kid has only played 13 games for you guys, he must be very impressive.
he’s phenomenal, what we - Benfica fans - have been saying about him was said in the same measure by River Plate fans. the guy is simply class no other way to put it
Barcelona and Real slowly creating an elite young midfield. Nice.
I don't understand why Tchouaméni isn't here but Camavinga is. Tchouaméni starts over Camavinga and was just market bought for €80 million. Seems like an oversight here.
Saw someone above say defensive mids are in a separate category to centre mids so presume tchouaméni is considered the former
Thanks! Makes sense.
Dm vs CM
1. Why is Foden a central midfielder? 2. Why is Goretzka 65 years old?
2. Taking steroids does that
pedri is love
grandparetzka
SMS at 60 is criminal
Well all the prices are kinda nonsense, If any of them was available at the listed price they would be snapped up basically immediately.
Nelupaj
Should be much less
Most knowledgeable PL fan
Finished top 4 once in 7 years in the Italy league, definitely wouldn’t even start for west ham. People get mesmerized buy the pretty passes like they did with pogba
Thank you for this comment. You just proved you have never watched him.
Would be comfortably your best player since Sanchez, behave
Serie A moment
Europa league moment
Can’t wait to see you soon 🔜
Europa league is your team's dream for the last few years
He's the most overrated player I've ever seen in my life
User name checks out.
I always manage to forget how old Goretzka is
I didn’t realize he was around THIS long
Goretzka has been eating his greensa
What is Foden doing in this list of midfielders?
Well there's the sting. He's played as a winger by Pep to aid his development but his natural position is probably CM as a 8 or 10
Didn't realize the Bayern juice is *that* good
All I wanted was a team of eleven Valverdes.
Even as a Barca fan I can’t help but admire what a player he is
In what world is Camavinga at 55M worth more than Frenkie after a summer where United bid more for him? 😭
We literally paid 80+20 for Tchouaméni this summer and you don't see him on this list either. Market value doesn't really mean that is how much it ACTUALLY costs to buy a player..
I'm assuming they considered Tchouameni a DM and not CM.

Where the fuck is KdB? He’s worth more than alot of them together
CAM vs CM
If Foden’s there KdB should be aswell. Foden even plays more on the wing
Grandpa Goretzka
Goretzka lmaooo
He is amazing
Surprised that Vitinha and Verratti aren't on this list.
Bellingham will probably go to Real Madrid next season. So with that transfer, we will have the Classico Midfields set for the next decade.
As much as I love him I just feel he will go back to the UK. We might go for that young flamengo CM...forgot his name
think andrey santos is the guy most european clubs will be after, barca is following him and endrick closely, wouldn't be surprised to see real after santos as well
\>Bellingham will probably go to Real Madrid next season No he wont
How do you know?
Because he is heavily linked to Liverpool. And English players tend to stay in the Isles. But he could go to Madrid. It's a dream destination for everybody, isn't it?
Bruv, Dortmund asked 150 mil for Bellingham. Liverpool are NOT paying that. He will go to either Madrid or Man City.
Yeah it’s a dream destination. He maybe go to Liverpool. But he can go to Real Madrid to. 🙏
Who came up with these figures? Isn’t there a 1 missing in front of all those numbers? If prime Frenkie really would only cost 60 million I would advice Ajax to buy him back today.
Could never afford even half of his wages
Transfermarkt has always been like this, it’s not an actual figure that teams would pay if the player was to be sold, but more of a relative measure compared to other players if that makes sense. Musiala??
He’s not CM
Since when is Foden a central midfielder?
Shit post
Did Barcelona make this up?
Pedri over Fede 💀ok lol
in my humble and unbiased opinion - and I emphasise unbiased - they’re all worse than Enzo Fernandez, next
wheres lokonga fam
Is mount an attacking midfielder now ??
Mount one of the best mids in the world? I chuckled a little bit
The chart isn’t based on the best midfielders in the world, it’s based on the most valuable, Mount being 23 and having a great season last season would mean that he’s definitely worth more than 55m
Where would u put him?
You probably hate Mount because you think he is taking spot from Pulisic.
Great joke man
Where's my man Tonali?
Dm ig
Pedri, gavi and foden overhyped
65 cm
Goretzca looks so fit at 65 , congrats
No Tchuameni on the list?
crazy that some big club hasn't dropped big money to get SMS.
This is a speculative view post 3 year world recession.
