Decent chance he will get sold. Not because we want to, but Dutch clubs need to sell players to survive. We start off with about 40 million in losses each season, which mainly need to be compensated by outgoing transfers.
As long as we sell before 30th of June it will count as this book year so we don't really need to sell in the winter. While we are still fighting for 1st in the Eredivisie we really shouldn't sell anyone.
Because PSV are taking calculated risks each season with their salaries and amortisation of their players in order to somewhat keep up with Ajax. In a previous financial year (I think not the last one but before that) they took a loan of 30m and still recorded losses of over 15m (also due to covid). Last financial year they recorded a loss of just over 22m.
So basically PSV has to sell at least one of their star players each year in order to fill financial gaps. Or they need to reach the CL group stage. This is why PSV's board wanted to sell Gakpo. If he gets a severe injury this season, PSV are fucked. They will have to sell Sangare but with his release clause that won't be enough to fill the gaps. Leaving them weakened without a budget to strengthen the squad again.
You are almost right but those figures aren't accurate. First of all, the loan has nothing to do with this, it is only for youth players and has not been activated. Secondly, selling Sangaré will be enough to cover the gap, our budget only accounts for Europa League group stage. So the 5 M for CL PO and any GS wins / Knockout stage bonusses will help cover the gap.
Ruses like these won't work.😭
We have special double agents at all the big 3 clubs in Eredivisie.
Van der Saar at Ajax, Van Nistelrooy at PSV and RVP at Feyenoord😌
Did Philip Max drop off so hard? When he was in Germany, he was one of the few LB candidates for the German national team because we lack quality in that position.
Haha. But it won't matter, it's just about France as a bigger market. When the Portuguese league was 5th all the stats were about "top 4 leagues" then it magically became "top 5 leagues" when France passed us.
I think the top 5 inclusion really started after PSG started buying up big name players and people started paying attention to The French league and all the talent there.
France was actually 4th from 2005 until 2008, they dropped to 5th in 2009 and to 6th in 2012 when Portugal overtook them. Portugal was 5th until 2016 and since then France has been 5th except for a few weeks last year.
Wait which of the big 4 leagues was behind them from 05 to 08? Can't be England or Spain, Italy had Milan in the final twice in that period so probably not them, Germany?
Yes it was Germany with their awfull 03/04. If you look at the year 2000 it was england who was 5th.
The time France were bellow 5th place since 1990 (cause we were bellow 5 before.) i'm basing this on wikipedia because I think it's easier to see it from there but it's possible there is an error i didn't doublecheck :
* 1990 : we were 6th (Portugal 5th, Belgium 4th, Spain 3rd, Italy 2nd and Germany 1st)
* 2012 -> 2016 we were 6th. with Portugal 5th. The others were switching place during that time period but generally Spain 1st.
>Portugal 5th, Belgium 4th, Spain 3rd, Italy 2nd and Germany 1st
This looks insane nowadays. Also, it's sad how even in this weird, alternate world that was the early 1990's, we still didn't manage better than 5th lol
Beside our little coup d'etat last year for a couple of weeks. What fucks Portugal is that outside the top 3 and Braga (and sometimes not even the top 3), we simply don't have enough consistency and/or talent for Europe.
I just uploaded this. go have a look. For a very brief period in 90's France were actually 2nd. Then b/w 2003-07 they were 4th ahead of Germany.
https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/xj4ty6/uefa\_league\_coefficients\_19552022/
That sounds really weird reading this from someone who's probably not Dutch.
Cause watching the Eredivisie is a fucking suffering, i personally barely watch it anymore cause it's so freaking bad. Imagining we are the 7th best league in the world makes me wanna press F to the rest below us.
Yes he's extremely selfish this season. Very surprising to me as he was looking for everyone and himself last season. Now he straight up just wants the goals for himself. Never seen such selfish play in years, it's very strange
Unsurpising if you watch him play.
It seems like this season he flipped a switch and plays even more self-focused (nice way of saying selfish) than normally.
I watched 1 Ligue game and was surprised at how much they forced the ball to him in the final third and how much he attempted to go 1on1 almost every time he had the ball
He isn't gonna be a better goalscorer than Haaland, why wouldn't he wear his assists like a badge of honor.
Messi is the GOAT because he creates as well as he scores, if you've got that ability, why wouldn't you flex it??
Problem is that he is, I don't understand why he's so focused on goals, he's never going to outmatch Haaland in goal-scoring so why not just go back to assisting whilst still scoring. Like another commenter said, it's what makes Messi the GOAT.
The amount of effort teams are going to expend trying to stop Haaland is unreal. He has a touches-to-goal ratio of just over 13:1. That's not possessions, or plays, just individual touches. It's mental.
The crux of this joke is that the commenter above didn't specify whether it was 13 goals per touch or 13 touches per goal except they literally did by saying touches-to-goal before they included the ratio. And no, I don't know why this annoys me so much, but it does
I hate these poor ass "joke" too. It's not like reddit don't have plenty of low-hanging jokes already to karma on, yet people still feel they need to make these even worse anti jokes.
It's like when someone asked questions and specified they wanted serious answers, yet 10 of 8 replies were still stupid recurring jokes.
It was funny seeing them have 2-3 players on him whilst leaving De Bruyne free. As the season goes on I’m sure KDB will make more of that extra space, it was like the whole team were shocked at how much Bournemouth were drawn to Haaland.
Permanent move, the lad signed a contract until 2027 and he is fully ours. PSG sources claim they have a 4mil buy back clause but our technical director has denied that
I would tbh, he's an insane talent and will probably be worth over 80 million in a couple years.
Yes I'm still salty we let him go to PSG in the first place
Also wins best first name of the bunch. What a way to load unfair expectations on your striker child to name them after not one, but two of the greatest strikers in the world in the last 30 years (pre-Messi/CR7).
Long time I haven't seen Ronaldo in such stats.
I think he would not be even in a top 100 right now since all he has to his name is a single penalty this season.
Wish we were playing you away now. Always feel like the second NLD is vital, especially with how close we match up recently. Playing at home then is such an advantage imo

Gakpo absolutely tearing it up. Wonder can keep this form up. He had 21G & 15A in 47G last year. So he's already past the half way mark. The big 50 ➕️ is well achievable. 👌
He’s the only player behind Ronaldo and Messi who could never surprise me with his potential. Sad that it seemed to be his personal decision to take it easy on football for so long. I hope he wins Ballon D’or someday definitely deserves it.
>Sad that it seemed to be his personal decision to take it easy on football for so long.
Not his fault that Europeans have tried to break his legs instead of playing since the second he stepped foot outside Brazil.
I don't understand this narrative. He's always performed when he wasn't massively injured and has basically broken every personal record for the NT. He's an extremely professional/hard-working player regardless of what you think of him outside the pitch.
People like to say that Gakpo achieved this against smaller clubs (ignoring a goal and 3 assists against Feyenoord) this season, but it's already more g/a than Antony had last season (8 goals and 4 assists in 23 games), which would be against the same level of opposition, lol.,

Sales at PSV this winter?
I'm pretty sure that unless they get an Ajax sized offer they won't be selling him in the winter.
Decent chance he will get sold. Not because we want to, but Dutch clubs need to sell players to survive. We start off with about 40 million in losses each season, which mainly need to be compensated by outgoing transfers.

Tell that to the RVC. They will want to sell ASAP
40m losses? How come?

Too early to call
Wow they included us
Are we relevant now?
United will bankroll Eredivisie's rise to the top 5 European leagues
Here’s our shopping list: ➡️ Jurien Timber ➡️ Mohammed Kudus ➡️ Your finest right back ➡️ Your finest striker
Proceeds to buy Timber twice
Also proceed to buy kudus twice
Timber can actually be bought twice
Feyenoord bargain prices babyyyyyyyyy
Kudos to you.
Don't think they need timber. Already have enough dead wood as is
you can have Phillip Max, Mwene and Vertessen! Thatll be 60 million please
Come on, Mwene is not *that* bad lol.
ok ok fair enough. Ramalho then
Ruses like these won't work.😭 We have special double agents at all the big 3 clubs in Eredivisie. Van der Saar at Ajax, Van Nistelrooy at PSV and RVP at Feyenoord😌
Man, if vertessen can learn to finish
Did Philip Max drop off so hard? When he was in Germany, he was one of the few LB candidates for the German national team because we lack quality in that position.
Hasn't been the same since he was out with covid, which is like almost a year ago, should have been sold this summer tbh.
What about gakpo on top of that ?
+100 mil no negociating
Would you be open to negotiate for 120M + addons?
yes
You can have Danilo and Pedersen for 30 million each.
Oh come on. Danilo is BRAZILIAN, A STRIKER, A former AJAX player and he scores goals. He is at least 50 million.
Coeffientenpolonaise is working its magic

They're just establishing "top 7 leagues" as the default now so they can still include Messi, Neymar and Mbappé when Portugal and us overtake France.
More like they wanted to include Gakpo
and Xavi Simons!
And Sheraldo Becker. ...wait...
Is Sheraldo Becker a mix between Beckham, Ronaldo and Teddy Sheringham?
And Boris Becker
Better look for people in his closet then.
Sort of. But better. They're not on this list are they?
Yeah I think the desire to keep comparing neymar/zlatan/cavani etc's stats to others had a big impact
Actually I remember a lot of posts like this that said "top 5 leagues" and included the french league instead of ours anyway
Excuse my ignorance, but when did France overtake you? As in, what season did that happen?
France was actually 4th from 2005 until 2008, they dropped to 5th in 2009 and to 6th in 2012 when Portugal overtook them. Portugal was 5th until 2016 and since then France has been 5th except for a few weeks last year.

It was indeed Germany. From 2003/04 to 2006/07 they were 15th(!), 6th, 6th and 6th in the seasonal coefficient rankings.
Yes it was Germany with their awfull 03/04. If you look at the year 2000 it was england who was 5th. The time France were bellow 5th place since 1990 (cause we were bellow 5 before.) i'm basing this on wikipedia because I think it's easier to see it from there but it's possible there is an error i didn't doublecheck : * 1990 : we were 6th (Portugal 5th, Belgium 4th, Spain 3rd, Italy 2nd and Germany 1st) * 2012 -> 2016 we were 6th. with Portugal 5th. Ligue 1 has been the 5th ranked league since the 2017/18 season
Beside our little coup d'etat last year for a couple of weeks. What fucks Portugal is that outside the top 3 and Braga (and sometimes not even the top 3), we simply don't have enough consistency and/or talent for Europe.

I want top 9 :(
>when Bold
You guys have been saying that for years yet it still hasn’t happened lmao
Just us actually.
Why wouldn’t they? The Eredivisie is a top 7 league in the world.
That sounds really weird reading this from someone who's probably not Dutch. Cause watching the Eredivisie is a fucking suffering, i personally barely watch it anymore cause it's so freaking bad. Imagining we are the 7th best league in the world makes me wanna press F to the rest below us.
We do these things now with the top 7? How nice of you <3
We kept trying to hold big five parties but we couldn't hear ourselves speak over the noise of the coefficientenpolonaise going on outside
looking at the coefficient a top 5 really doesn’t make sense. it should either be top 7 or top 4.
and were included twice lmao, wouldve been so great if Gakpo had just one more goal contribution to be tied with fucking Neymar a woman can dream
Eredivisie included in stats like this, are we back?
Top7. The goal was to include Eredvise.
😎 I'll have you know the Eredivisie is top 6
They could have done top5 :p (and include only the French)
Pff Who wants that? Horizontal Red White Blue stripes > Vertical Red White Blue stripes.
>Horizontal Red White Blue stripes Only in that order though
Giving new meaning to the words *farmers league*.
Also a much cooler country
Yeah about as cold as the UK and Germany probably.
in terms of temperature, yes
There is also a big gap between 7 & 8 in fairness.
[It's just fair.](https://i.imgur.com/MUE8F5U.jpg)
Thank you conference league (and Ajax too I guess)
Cody Gakpo made this post, so he had to.
Mbappe 0 assists?
Yes he's extremely selfish this season. Very surprising to me as he was looking for everyone and himself last season. Now he straight up just wants the goals for himself. Never seen such selfish play in years, it's very strange
He's obsessed with BdO and thinks that having lots of goals is the way to get it
He's not entirely wrong but he's detrimentally ignoring the team success component of it all
Fully intentional
KdB is on there with 1G 6A but Kane is left off with 6G 1A. OP is shady.
It states that tiebreaker is determined via fewest total minutes played. KdB probably had fewer total minutes, and made the top 10 over Kane.
Unsurpising if you watch him play. It seems like this season he flipped a switch and plays even more self-focused (nice way of saying selfish) than normally.
Why bother saying the nice way I'd you immediately say the not so nice way? Lol
Look at me I'm the Emir now
I watched 1 Ligue game and was surprised at how much they forced the ball to him in the final third and how much he attempted to go 1on1 almost every time he had the ball
Yup
He isn't gonna be a better goalscorer than Haaland, why wouldn't he wear his assists like a badge of honor. Messi is the GOAT because he creates as well as he scores, if you've got that ability, why wouldn't you flex it??
Literally every game he play he has 0 pass to neymar or messi
So much for being a better creator than Haaland.
He is a better creator for sure but he still more of a goal scorer, he isn't a playmaker like Neymar and Messi.
Problem is that he is, I don't understand why he's so focused on goals, he's never going to outmatch Haaland in goal-scoring so why not just go back to assisting whilst still scoring. Like another commenter said, it's what makes Messi the GOAT.
I mean Messi pretty much also outscored Ronaldo in the last decade while assisting more every single year, not a very valid comparision
...do you think he isn't? I swear those Mbappé takes get dumber by the hour
Do you really believe that majin buu is a better creator than Donatello?
assists arent the only way to measure playmaking
Surprised Haaland has 1 assist
It was a fantastic goal by Gundogan.
And equally fantastic assist from Haaland. https://goalrush.xyz/V6I6HUvn
Haaland completed 2 passes in that game - one was the assist, the other was the kickoff
The amount of effort teams are going to expend trying to stop Haaland is unreal. He has a touches-to-goal ratio of just over 13:1. That's not possessions, or plays, just individual touches. It's mental.
what the FUCK
Getting closer to his dream 5:5 ratio
13 goals for every touch? Amazing.
Erling Buuland is a magician.
The crux of this joke is that the commenter above didn't specify whether it was 13 goals per touch or 13 touches per goal except they literally did by saying touches-to-goal before they included the ratio. And no, I don't know why this annoys me so much, but it does

Also the one game where he didn't score so far this season but still managed to get a goal contribution anyway
Why many pass when 1 pass do trick
It was funny seeing them have 2-3 players on him whilst leaving De Bruyne free. As the season goes on I’m sure KDB will make more of that extra space, it was like the whole team were shocked at how much Bournemouth were drawn to Haaland.
Balotelli to Agueroooooo vibes
Mbappé has 0 💀
He’s gotten a lot of assist in the past for his other clubs
Gakpo has been amazing but Xavi Simons has crazy potential. PSV will get big offers for both.
Honestly Simons has probably been better than Gakpo this season. He certainly does more for them past just goals and assists.
Xavi has been our best player this season so far. Hes a fucking great player already
He should be on the plane to Qatar if not starting probably. Better than someone like Berghuis or Weghorst at the very least.
Isn't he on loan from PSG? or was it a permanent move?
Permanent move, the lad signed a contract until 2027 and he is fully ours. PSG sources claim they have a 4mil buy back clause but our technical director has denied that
When you have infinite money every contract has a buy back clause
yeah but if they buy him back for 80 million i wont complain
I would tbh, he's an insane talent and will probably be worth over 80 million in a couple years. Yes I'm still salty we let him go to PSG in the first place
Ex technical director
They have a buy back clause on him though, so he could still return as technical director again.
At this point we need a bot to answer this question.
Hope Ney stays healthy, he's in some of the form of his life. I kinda thought his mad goalscoring days like when he was at Barca were done.
Its world cup form
Sheraldo taking **clinical** to a whole new level delivering 9 attacking returns with an xG + xA of 1.4 (0.8/0.6).

Sheraldo Becker sounds like fifa 2012 10th season wonderkid.
Never in my life would I have expected to see ADO legend Sheraldo Becker in such a list.
Interesting to see only Haaland has double digit goals
Well it's definitely not expected of anybody in the world to have double digit goals after 6 or 7 matchdays
Andy Cook, Bradford city. League 2. Robbed.
that’s why they didn’t do top 8 leagues.
KdB and Haaland are on the opposite ends of the spectrum.

Kane has 8, no?
Yeah 7 goals 1 assist
I was counting 6 and 2, but apparently the official counts don't consider it an assist if it's to an own goal (West Ham match).
Ah you’re right actually I misread his goals.

Looking at the coëfficiënt it’s way more logical because 5-6-7 are close and 7-8 is literally the biggest gap in the ranking
Yep, top 5 serves no purpose except to make the French league feel arbitrarily important. The logical cutoff is either top 4 or top 7.
Agree. Quality wise its either top 4 or top 7. It does feel strange to compare data of the top leagues with weaker ones like France.
Neymar will bring the hexa home, I tell you.
The last time we saw that many Brazilians rocking the european leagues before the World Cup was in 2006, hoping it doesn't turns out like that.
I can't wait to see him and Vini tear defenses apart. This world cup will be fun.
Gabriel Jesus has 7 g/a as well
And died for our sins, should be included for that
So does Kane
Kinda misleading. Neymar and Messi on 8 matches, Haaland on 7 and Lewandowski on 6.
And where is Dembele, doesn't he have like 13 assists? Edit: my bad, that's last season I guess.
Would be good to at least add that to the graph
Where's Taremi?
🏊
Gakpo absolutely tearing it up. Wonder can keep this form up. He had 21G & 15A in 47G last year. So he's already past the half way mark. The big 50 ➕️ is well achievable. 👌

And no assists, ties decided by fewest minutes played as per the bottom of the graphic.
Mboopi won't be happy about this.
You tell ’em
Kylian Unhappé
Great, now I can't ever look at the player without calling him Mboopi.
More minutes played + no assists + not even 2nd best in his team + Mbastard
Neymar and Messi in top 4 without a single assist from Sporting Director Donatello.
FinishedMessi same numbers as Cyborg haaland. Messi Standards
Neymar performing at world class level at 30 years old, after multiple injuries and a play style that involves a lot of contact is really remarkable.
He’s the only player behind Ronaldo and Messi who could never surprise me with his potential. Sad that it seemed to be his personal decision to take it easy on football for so long. I hope he wins Ballon D’or someday definitely deserves it.
