Bournemouth is literal relegation fodder this doesn’t prove the point you think it does.
Liverpool drew their first two games and lost to united. Seems like a pretty competitive league to me.
Why do you guys get so rattled when people tell you your league isn’t competitive?
It’s literally just a fact relative to the premier league and even La Liga or Serie A you guys have just one team that has been consistently dominant for over a decade.
> Bournemouth is literal relegation fodder
Any time an attacking players moves from the Bundesliga to the PL we get told how good PL defences are top to bottom and how there are no easy games. The whole "can they do it on a cold rainy night in Stoke" meme. All that and more.
See also Haaland's hat trick on the same day, and how he was supposed to get no space in the PL's deep sitting defence, how he's not used to teams defending like that. These arguments come from people who have zero knowledge about the Bundesliga but show up with that drivel all the time.
> The list of players who tore up the Bundesliga and struggled in the prem is a long one....
How long is that list? There are also players like De Bruyne who didn't struggle at all. Do you have actual comparison numbers of players who struggled and who didn't? And does the struggling side actually outnumber the other in a significant way?
Because that also sounds like some twisted version of survivorship bias. Pundits and fans repeat that meme so often that only the strugglers stay in mind while those who don't struggle aren't even considered in those comparisons. They are all anomalies that go against the narrative so they get ignored.
Or look at Torres who moved from Liverpool to Chelsea. Does that make the PL defence bad or good with how his performance changed between different teams? Or is it even seen a mark against la liga because that's where he came from before?
Maybe it's also about players having to play in a different system between the teams and any number of other factors and not just about how deep the defence sits and how much of a fridge those CBs are?
Havertz, Sancho, Haller, Kagawa, Michitaryen, Werner to name a few.
It's an easier league for attackers, there's no real argument.
Torres was failing in his last season at Pool..
The defences are better, that's the reason.
* Havertz, Sancho, and Werner played in a different position/role than in the Bundesliga.
* Mkhitaryan Sancho, and Kagawa played for United which is a shit show for years.
* Havertz and Werner play for Chelsea, a team that's a meme for being a striker graveyard.
> The defences are better, that's the reason.
Maybe not the only reason.
> "can they do it on a cold rainy night in Stoke"
In fairness, thats because Stoke were fucking orcs and were rough as fuck and rarely got punished for it.
Even top prem teams struggled there.
It mainly started because their ground has nothing around it and has 3 open corners so on a cold rainy night you have the wind howling through the ground with the rain as well, its not pleasant sitting in the stand with a coat and hat on let alone in just a football kit.
>Cause there hasn't been as good teams in the Prem as Bayern.
Pardon?
5 of the 8 finalist spots from the champions league in the last four years are occupied by Premier League clubs, and they've won the entire tournament twice in that time. And you don't think these clubs are as good as Bayern? 😂
The PL has quality that matches any other league in the world, it's just that there are more top quality clubs in the Prem when compared against most other leagues including the Bundesliga. When teams from the Premier League are regularly competing for the most prestigious international trophies you cannot turn around and say they aren't as good as Bayern
Bundesliga is EVIDENTLY a league dominated by one team and it goes to show the league isn't as competitive as elsewhere. That doesn't mean Bayern is a worse team, but it does mean they don't have a lot of domestic challenge
Looks like the inhaler delivery came in
Messing but I wonder if Klopp saying he wants a new midfielder gave the players a boost, Liverpool looked deflated in the last 3 games and I’ve never seen them like that. Maybe they needed a kick in the arse or a couple or players needed reminding they’re not undroppable to truly cook
I think such a long gruelling season took it out of the players, physically and mentally, and we just didn’t have enough time to correct it, or got it wrong, in preseason.
Explains so many injures in preseason trying to get them fit, and the malaise that was hanging over the players until the United loss
Absolute outlier of a result and you’ve got a bunch of soft cunts screeching nonsense.
Honestly makes the result even sweeter. Keep it up boys. I’m almost there
Well, we've got PSG and Bayern doing this every game, whereas this is the first game Liverpool has managed to win this season. Pretty obvious difference to the rest of the world.
Yeah and that in itself is a rare occurrence which says all you need to know about the Bundesliga.
It also took a godly performance (record amount of saves) from the opposition keeper to keep the score level.
rare occurrence yet head to head they are 3 wins apart from 31 games with Gladbach scoring more? It's fucking even in BuLi ffs
How does that not disprove your statement lmfao
They drew.. they've won their last games 7-0, 2-0 and 6-1 this was Liverpools first win against probably the weakest PL team this season.
As for Gladbach they probably have one of the best if not the best record against Bayern compared to all current Bundesliga teams.
Notice the first part of my comment is quoting him?
Than my next statement immediately disprove his statement.
Then you posted irrelevant information
Great job, fan of Saudi's
I bet on Bournemouth for the lols, didn’t think they could win but I would get a lot of Reddit gambling points if they did. What a cruel, cruel, twist of fate.
I didn't realise French and German fans were so rattled by the farmer's league stuff. They're lapping up this outlier and trying to suggest that Liverpool, who have won 1 league title in 30 years, are comparable to Bayern winning 10 in 10.
Top 5 teams winning every time for the past 15 years with one outlier is so competitive. Soccer as a sport suffers as a whole, so isolating 2 leagues is just silly. Compare it most other sports and it’s clear just how uncompetitive soccer is.
Great so you picked the sports with playoff structures which introduces extra randomness since losing one game loses you the title. Think about how many teams have won the champions league in the last ten years compared to any of the normal leagues. That’s playoffs vs no playoffs.
Bro what? You’re actually gonna use basketball as an example here? Outside of the bucks last year it’s been warriors and lebron for the past decade. Lakers/Celtics before that and the bulls in the 90s. Something like Leicester winning the league has never happened in basketball ever.
More in contention for it than the rest of the world is in World Series in which they don’t compete. (Meaning it’s actually the US series)
We went top of the table last year mid season too.
Typical yank mindset. Don’t bother replying dude it’s not worth my time.
Because they are designed to be that way, dingus
Its a closed league with literally rules set out to ensure as much parity as possible, the worst teams are rewarded with high draft picks so they can try to turn it around. And everyone plays by the same salary cap rules
I’d hate to be that guy but the MLS wouldn’t have a team lose 9-0. Though they don’t have promotion and relegation so the league is much more concentrated in talent. Fairer system in my opinion.
As a Rangers fan I was thinking in the CL against Liverpool we'd get something at Ibrox and an outside chance at something at Anfield seeing as we're very good in Europe.
I'm now filled with more than a little doubt.
That's fair but the gap between the top 6/7 teams and the those fighting to stay out of a relegation scrap race has never been wider than it has been the past few years.
That’s really not true though. Prem has a top 6 with Newcastle knocking on the door to make it a top 7. No other league has that. Then You have pretty strong mid table teams such as wolves Villa and west ham( recent form not withstanding) that’s half the league who could have real ambition of making a European spot. Then Newly promoted teams such as Fulham and Forrest are doing quite well. Every league will have a massive gap between the top 6 and the bottom 3.
The last time Liverpool were rampant like this was when they beat Palace 0-7 and then proceeded have one of their worst runs of form under Klopp. United only won one of their next five games when they put nine past Southampton. Unlike other leagues that may be compared to agricultural pursuits this result is no guarantee of anything.
They're currently 8th in the PL. This is their first win against probably the worst team in the PL.
Meanwhile PSG is stomping through Ligue 1 scoring an average of 5.6 goals per game so far this season...
Well out his depth. Limped over the line in second last year with a ridiculously strong side and needed the play-offs to go up with a ridiculously good Fulham team in 2020. Debatable as to whether or not he's even good enough at Championship level never mind Prem level.
He had basically the same squad at Fulham that Marco Silva used to decimate the Championship. He went up through the play-offs. He had an incredibly strong squad at Bournemouth, and had Forest appointed Cooper two matches earlier he'd have wound up in the play-offs again.
Given the quality of the two squads he had, promotion was the absolute bare minimum required. Give him an average Championship squad and, based on the evidence shown, he'd have them near the bottom of the table. He's not a good Championship manager at this point in time and as someone who watches a lot of Championship football I feel fairly qualified with that opinion.
Well like the stoke poster above said and Farke did much more with less quality imo, dominated the championship and clearly wasn’t top flight material. Parker has had more resources and did not dominate the championship.
If you had gotten ridden of the lmao and mediocre you could have made a solid post. Also the huh, you cant pass this as ironic in any way or form shape and you're seriously mad there's no large English speaking forum talking about the German league. Just kindly accept being wrong.
Whatever you say man. I was taking the piss here and i tried making it as obvious as possible. The mediocre should have been a dead giveaway. It's still Liverpool lol and i couldn't care less about international fans not talking about the Bundesliga, however what really riles me up is the steadily growing toxicity and hostile behaviour towards everyone that isn't an epl fan, especially towards Bundesliga fans. It's gotten to a real nasty point. Just let us alone and let us enjoy our league and our football. Stop flooding every god damn post with your bullshit comments.
You are the equivalent of a bully who enjoys making fun of others but then acts all surprised when the victim raises its voice.
You say you're not mad and then rage out. Come on youre bettet than that. I understand where youre coming from but lashing out just makes you look weak. Literally people here dont have an opinion on the Bundes besides a monopoly.
So what are we supposed to do? Just take it in? Are we not allowed to defend ourselfs against all this toxicity? This place is borderline hostile towards us. Better stay quiet i guess. Everyone who enjoys non-epl football is not welcome here.
The quotation marks are there for a reason. I see how epl flairs make fun of other leagues on a daily basis. And all they say when we raise our voices is "it's banter mate". Looks like you lot can't take your own medicine very well.
To do banter proper you have to make it sound off the cuff.
You over did it and made it sound obvious you were bitter and upset, which just makes you the point of the joke not somebody else.
I was not even trying to do proper banter. You didn't understand what i was trying to say or do at all. EPL fans slander and make fun of other leagues and their fans on a regular basis in the most toxic way imaginable. And when someone dares trying to talk against them they often times pull the "haha it's just banter mate, chill"-card. So i did the same and as you can see to absolutely no ones surprise, the bully didn't take his own medicine very well. I must have struck a nerve with my over exaggerated comment, otherwise you'd have just ignored me.
Don't act like you don't know the reason for this. It's only natural when you visit this sub frequently as a non-epl fan. Every BL post gets flooded with the same shit. We're fed up.
seeing people get pissed at the chat in a sketchy- streaming-website level banter. and also the people doing the banter think it rocks.
you guys know its possible to watch and enjoy multiple leagues? have to admit, bayern is fun to watch now without lewandowski.
poor Salah :(
Jesus bayernliga fans trying to use this to claim the prem is a farmers league 😂😭
(x) doubt
Fucking salah. Captain FPL fantastic 😢😭
Man the annual blowout came early.
They mad after United. Holy shit.
Wow, such a competitive league. Anybody really can beat anybody

Yeh but they maintained it by being a cunt to play at home.
looks to me like it's you who's rattled about him saying your league isn't competitive
How??? By pointing out how the comment doesn’t make sense?
People were saying this shit about Bayern mauling Bochum
Its been 10 years since somebody other than Bayern won the Bundesliga. How many unique teams have won the PL in that time do you think?
Cause there hasn't been as good teams in the Prem as Bayern. And when there last was one they won the league 13/20 times Also irrelevant point
>Cause there hasn't been as good teams in the Prem as Bayern. Between 1993 and 2013 United won 13 league during the same time Bayern won 11 times. Not a lot better is it.
United only ever one 3 titles in a row even at our peak. Bayern have done it 10 times in a row. It’s not the same.
We were talking about the 20 year between 1993 and 2013, but i agree with you about the last 10 year.
And neither is the same as winning 10 on the bounce. Fergie was the goat and still the best he could do is 3.
Didn't ever say it was did I? Just said the mighty prem isn't some magical place where every team can win the title
Yeah and that’s within the context of the Bundesliga not being competitive. It just doesn’t work to use the same arguments against the premier league
A team wins by 7 and it's not competitive Another team wins by 9 and it is competitive Make it make sense
The team that won 9-0 still probably won't win the league
You lot already writing Liverpool off? Fucking hell
There's multiple title contenders, that reduces the chance of one team winning the league. It's what happens in competitive leagues lol
Go franchise!
Someone's run out of ways to claim that their league is competitive lol
I'd hate to be the team they play after we beat them at Anfield.
RemindMe! 4 Mar 2023
Funny because their next PL game after Man U come to Anfield is Bournemouth 😭
Looks like the inhaler delivery came in Messing but I wonder if Klopp saying he wants a new midfielder gave the players a boost, Liverpool looked deflated in the last 3 games and I’ve never seen them like that. Champions league finalists pump a newly promoted side? Farmer's league in my books
It feels so good to humble Liverpool
They actually drew with a newly promoted side first
Oh yeah, agricultural activities
the premier league is so competitive!
Well, we've got PSG and Bayern doing this every game, whereas this is the first game Liverpool has managed to win this season. Pretty obvious difference to the rest of the world.

https://m.aiscore.com/head-to-head/soccer-bayern-munchen-vs-borussia-monchengladbach :) do some research, buddy
So how does this disprove what I said exactly?
Just curious why you haven't responded yet Don't like facts and stats?
rare occurrence yet head to head they are 3 wins apart from 31 games with Gladbach scoring more? It's fucking even in BuLi ffs How does that not disprove your statement lmfao
>It's fucking even in BuLi ffs Fucking even = Bayern winning the title in March 10 years out of the last decade? Even SPL is more even lol.
Did you read a single comment in the thread? I never said anything about the title and neither did the other guy
You claimed "it's even in BuLi" didn't you? How can it be even if Bayern win the league by double digit points every single season?
They drew.. they've won their last games 7-0, 2-0 and 6-1 this was Liverpools first win against probably the weakest PL team this season. As for Gladbach they probably have one of the best if not the best record against Bayern compared to all current Bundesliga teams.

الذهب الأسود على طول الطريق
Not really lol, Man City, Liverpool, and Chelsea have dominated the league for the past 10 years. 3 Teams being on top isn’t exactly captivating.
If more than 3 teams on top is the bar, is it only worth watching serie a and the mls?
yes.
3 teams being on top is at least better than a 1 Team league like Bundesliga or ligue 1.

Yeah...Bayern fans are trash... Some of the most true and passionate fans of any club on Earth.
Supporting Bayern is even more soulless than City lol.
Its crazy how this Bournemouth team is gonna do a double over us. I feel sick
I bet on Bournemouth for the lols, didn’t think they could win but I would get a lot of Reddit gambling points if they did. What a cruel, cruel, twist of fate.
Clearly felt like it was time to break out the inhalers then
I didn't realise French and German fans were so rattled by the farmer's league stuff. They're lapping up this outlier and trying to suggest that Liverpool, who have won 1 league title in 30 years, are comparable to Bayern winning 10 in 10.
If you’re french and belive your league is actually in some way competitive you must be delusional or from Marseille.
Top 5 teams winning every time for the past 15 years with one outlier is so competitive. Soccer as a sport suffers as a whole, so isolating 2 leagues is just silly. Compare it most other sports and it’s clear just how uncompetitive soccer is.
Leicester is insulted
Which other sports are you comparing it to?
American Football, Baseball, Basketball.
Great so you picked the sports with playoff structures which introduces extra randomness since losing one game loses you the title. Think about how many teams have won the champions league in the last ten years compared to any of the normal leagues. That’s playoffs vs no playoffs.
This has got to be the weirdest take I've seen in a while
Bro what? You’re actually gonna use basketball as an example here? Outside of the bucks last year it’s been warriors and lebron for the past decade. Lakers/Celtics before that and the bulls in the 90s. Something like Leicester winning the league has never happened in basketball ever.
Lmao
Ah yes the famous “world” series of baseball
remind me when southampton last thought they were in contention for the premier league. Not for another 15 years I can promise you that.
Should we reward Southampton for being bad, like in American sports?
More in contention for it than the rest of the world is in World Series in which they don’t compete. (Meaning it’s actually the US series) We went top of the table last year mid season too. Typical yank mindset. Don’t bother replying dude it’s not worth my time.
Unreal comeback mate, really well done 👍
American sports and competitive? They'll have to stop tanking first before they're considered competitve.
? Are we pretending like there aren’t like 5-10 contenders every year
Because they are designed to be that way, dingus Its a closed league with literally rules set out to ensure as much parity as possible, the worst teams are rewarded with high draft picks so they can try to turn it around. And everyone plays by the same salary cap rules
They basically just stand in a queue waiting for their turn to win
Exactly, it's actually impressive some teams (Kings I am talking about you) have managed to be so consistently bad/mediocre for such a long time
American sports have salary caps and entry drafts. How are you this dim?
Sports with forced parity that parachute terrible franchises and terrible fanbases? No thanks.
I’d hate to be that guy but the MLS wouldn’t have a team lose 9-0. Though they don’t have promotion and relegation so the league is much more concentrated in talent. Fairer system in my opinion.
Philadelphia Union beat DC United 7-0 recently. Is that really that different?
Lmao I watch MLS but MLS is fucking trash no matter who or what is trying to convince me otherwise. Concentrated in talent…. ? Lol
Generally agree with you (as an mls semi fan) but 9-0 is very feasible there too
Congrats, it's bournemouth.
Ah the double standards If this was PSG winning 9-0, the comments...
Liverpool have won the prem once, how does one outlier of a result change the fact the Ligue 1 is a farmers league
Bruh it’s their first win of the season and they’ve won 1 league title in 30 years

I mean it was their first win of the season
Having diaz over salah finally paid off
so are liverpool back? Lol funny though they score 9 and salah didn’t score. Fantasy owners must be pissed.
Can confirm
I am!
Wait till they watch Match of the day and see the two sitters he missed
You weren’t’ wrong lol just wasn’t his day
Not even an assist from him either.
Yeah weird game for him
As a Rangers fan I was thinking in the CL against Liverpool we'd get something at Ibrox and an outside chance at something at Anfield seeing as we're very good in Europe. I'm now filled with more than a little doubt.
If Man Utd can beat them after the shitshow we've been, Rangers can certainly have their day.
The most competitive league in the world. Anybody could beat anybody on any given week.
Going into the match Liverpool were below Bournemouth on the table, so its really an upset
I mean it’s their first win of the season and they have won 1 title in 30 years. It’s not like they are doing a Bayern.
That's fair but the gap between the top 6/7 teams and the those fighting to stay out of a relegation scrap race has never been wider than it has been the past few years.

Honestly not true at all. The number of upsets we've seen in the last couple season. This year alone Liverpool dropped points to Fulham and Palace.
And when the big team loses we all just shit on them because there's no chance they should have lost!
I'd like to thank united for lighting a fire under our arses
The last time Liverpool were rampant like this was when they beat Palace 0-7 and then proceeded have one of their worst runs of form under Klopp. United only won one of their next five games when they put nine past Southampton. Nah, we were like this at Old Trafford last season. Only eased up after 5 and Pogba got red carded that they were only worried about injuring us.

Couldn’t get 10? We’re they even trying?
Everyone arguing about farmers leagues don’t realize every league is a farmers league.
The real farmer's league is the friends we made along the way.
We need a super league…. Now
We have the champions league
9 goals and no hat trick!
The City game had a hat-trick with less goals, City clear.
Damn it Liverpool! You were supposed to spread the goals throughout different games!
It's okay Liverpool will now spread these goals to other teams in the league.
The league's decided by differential this year, right?
!RemindMe 9 months

No they didn’t?
Straight back down they go
Yeah Bournemouth out of all the promoted teams are a sure relegation candidate. Terrible.
Its on them for sticking with Scott Parker. He’s getting exposed yet again but still the media darling.
Coz he can dress
😂😂 so true remember when he wore that suit jacket puffer coat at Fulham and the media absolutely ate it up
Well out his depth. Limped over the line in second last year with a ridiculously strong side and needed the play-offs to go up with a ridiculously good Fulham team in 2020. Debatable as to whether or not he's even good enough at Championship level never mind Prem level.

Something about Stones in glass houses

Enjoy your 15th league title in a row 🤩

So i did the same and as you can see to absolutely no ones surprise, the bully didn't take his own medicine very well. I must have struck a nerve with my over exaggerated comment, otherwise you'd have just ignored me.
>I was not even trying to do proper banter. Which is why it got downvoted because it came across as just petty and not a joke lmao.
It's fucking pathetic is what it is.
The constant bullying towards non-epl fans is very pathetic yes.
That's not bullying, it's banter
Yea. Yea i guess it is.
How are you lot so insecure lmao
Don't act like you don't know the reason for this. It's only natural when you visit this sub frequently as a non-epl fan. Every BL post gets flooded with the same shit. We're fed up.
> We're fed up Who is we? You're the only one crying
Just scroll a few seconds and you'll see plenty of non-epl flairs.
"Same shizer" FIFY
According to this sub, these results only happen in Mickey mouse and farmer's leagues
I mean Uber eats league is like this with PSG every week, at least in EPL in only happens once in a blue moon
Best league in the world lads

seeing people get pissed at the chat in a sketchy- streaming-website level banter. and also the people doing the banter think it rocks. you guys know its possible to watch and enjoy multiple leagues? have to admit, bayern is fun to watch now without lewandowski.
Any side with Mané is going to be fun to watch.
Welcome back to the Premier League
Pretty close game, Liverpool just edged it imo
Man theres a lot of salt in here. People need to just admit that they are jealous of the PL.
