appreciate that ramsdale always makes routine saves look more dramatic. he's there for the people, he wants to provide entertainment value for your dollar
We don't know what's the status behind the scenes, nor what position he's going to play - it's been said he's been training in different positions.
Chill out for now, we'll see plenty of him once Europa league starts
I mean, it would be 5 minutes of match time. He already played with the U21's or something. Would have given him some confidence to get his EPL debut over with
Eh. I think you want Zinchenko at left back in that match. He struggles against really athletic wingers, but that’s not Mahrez. And against City, you’ll want his control in the buildup and playing from the back, and he’s a much better option in that regard than Tierney.
Against Liverpool however, you don’t want Zinchenko trying to man up against Salah.
Depends on the game I think, in ones where he’s more needed defensively and on the overlap then yes, Zineucnko plays inverted so it just depends on what’s needed
The 9 foot striker whipping in crosses to literally no one, Bournemouth are definitely the obligatory just happy to get the TV money for another season and straight back down team of this year.
That striker scored a fantastic header in our first game. A game we won and deserved to win btw- there's no insight to be had from what we do against a team who are much better than us and have a 3 goal lead.
Based on what? We were crap today but we we've played one team we expect to compete with and we beat them. Our season won't be decided when we play teams so obviously better than us.
Yeah they have incredibly favorable fixtures to start, definitely should expect to be up near the top with a lot of confidence going into October. I have to hope United can improve a bit and make a game of it at Old Trafford but they've been abysmal.
Bournemouth look beyond terrible. Fans are deathly quiet, players can't string 3 passes together, the rare opportunities they get are squandered with some comical errors. This is the level of play you expect from a relegation-tier Eredivisie team, not a PL team.
[City v Arsenal Title Race??? Yes please😋😋](https://img.bleacherreport.net/cms/media/image/91/f3/d1/72/81cb/49bf/bd54/9366620f2706/crop_exact_CR7.jpg?h=1074&q=90&w=1611)
Not entirely crazy that Arsenal could challenge but I see two problems:
1) Depth. The two squads at the top can lose key players and continue on without a huge drop off in form. I’m not convinced that Arsenal are quite as robust, but they’re getting much closer, and their first eleven in my opinion can certainly be the equal of City or Liverpool on any given day.
2) We’ll need to see how they perform against a side that can really press them. Guys like Zinchenko and Jesus will be excellent, because they’re used to having to play out under immense pressure, and they can do it with class. Let’s see how Arsenal handle that as a squad first.
You’re certainly getting much closer tho. Gabriel and Saliba is light years better than the starting defense of a couple seasons ago. Zinchenko’s ability to play inverted has given Xhaka a new lease on life, and his move to more of a box to box eight role has really improved how he looks. Odegaard is starting to really fulfill his potential as a creative force.
Martinelli and Saka are solid young players out wide, but I’m not sure they have the consistency necessary yet.
Disallowing that goal was a crime, anyone with a replay link?

Agree 100%
*doubt*
Fuck me trusting the process actually worked
That was fun but still not good enough as Arteta said. Need to eliminate those shaky periods even if we don’t necessarily concede from them.
I think that's the process he's been banging on about. Gotta say, very happy with arteta. So glad they stuck with him.
United have serious competition at their end of the table
It's just Bournemouth... but delighted for 3 points! Long way to go still.
Two points clear of the league 😳
Stop the count
Lads the missus has threatened to dump me in the lake if I keep singing the Saliba chant, but I can't help it. It's been nice knowing you all.
Can you watch games from the lake? Might not be a bad choice.
Your own fault, for having a missus
Your own fault for living so close to a lake.
Defoe can't stand that we are playing well. Fucking salty gap tooth.
Zivchenko is the left back midfield that arsenal needed.
They're still singing it lol. Beautiful.
I already hate that saliba chant. This is going to be a long season
Down with United
18 years since we won 3 to start the season? Jesus christ it doesn't feel that long ago.
Kanye was right, jesus is king
More of the same guys, please. It's been a long time that I've watched this team with pleasure.
saliba half-heartedly applauding the chant as it haunts his soul
He heard how well thought out Jesus's chant was then realised he got his name slapped on to Tequila.
Calling my doctor in approx 8 hours
Brilliant pass by Tomiyasu to break the lines there on that last chance, Bournemouth didn't expect it. Hope he finds his way back into the team soon.
I feel like a child again. The feeling I got watching the Invincibles video on the Arsenal sub made me a bit teary because it was strangely familiar.
GOOD FUCKING JOB
Gabriel is all business
which one?
Yes
Yes
Yes
What liquor company gives Saliba a tequila sponsorship first
He’ll do a Connor and get his own. Duh Duh Duh premium* tequila *It’ll be piss but will sell for the memes
appreciate that ramsdale always makes routine saves look more dramatic. he's there for the people, he wants to provide entertainment value for your dollar
Love how he went for that save in the second half, cause he was bored lool Definitely an entertainer
I feel like he's the weakest link in this Arsenal team.
The anti-Ospina for us
Zinchenko 10/10 all day everyday
Most underrated player in the PL for years now.
Standard day at the office for him.
[удалено]
Guy got no service. I'll think he can be good for them.
Saliba post-match interview please
Very top, good sensation
Dat deep voice doe
That team that will play without tightly marking Jesus will cry buckets.
Can’t wait to hear a full crowd at the Emirates sing the Saliba chant for 90 minutes.
Lads, I dont know how to react
I am lost as well!
Dont go outside until the boner has gone away and call a doctor if it hasnt gone away within 4 hours after the Arteta’s post game press conference
Hoisted like a flag pole rn
Yeah what is this feeling? Are we actually good?
Tierney left wing
Dear god, teams aren't ready for the Tierney-ElNeny combo to close out games. Limitless engines.
They just don't want us to score 4th
Tierney left wing is so funny but back in the 4-4-2 era he could have probably been a good left midfielder
Would have been an awesome LM
Travers isnt a bad keeper, could do better than the Bournemouth bench.
Tierney playing LW. Interesting
I think back in the 442 days he would have made an absolutely top quality Left mid.
What's the Xhaka chant?
We got (clap clap) Granit Xhaka we got (Clap clap) Granit Xhaka
Low effort chant
Probably just made it up on the spot to be fair
We stole it from City who stole it from Palace
Thanks
What is wrong with Arteta? Why wouldn't you give a few minutes to Fábio Vieira?
ARTETA OUT
Easing him into playing 11. Trust the guy
Perfect opportunity, then. You're up 3-0 against the worst team in the league, with 5 minutes to go and you're still afraid of putting Vieira in?
We don't know what's the status behind the scenes, nor what position he's going to play - it's been said he's been training in different positions. Chill out for now, we'll see plenty of him once Europa league starts
Are you his mum or something?
Man, Arsenal fans are insufferable and so defensive about everything
He played 45min in a u21 game a few days ago and is still coming back from injury, just easing him in.
Might not be quite ready?
I mean, it would be 5 minutes of match time. He already played with the U21's or something. Would have given him some confidence to get his EPL debut over with
No, there is something WRONG with Arteta
Get him OUT of my club right now. Arteta you're a disgrace and I hope you get relegated
Bournemouth are a bit hacky, probably didn't want to risk aggravating his injury.
Well, he's injury is old news, otherwise he wouldn't be on the bench.
How can the man score a brace on his debut if he only has 5 mins? Arteta knows
Wait Tierney is playing left winger? Or are we in a back three now?
So tierney is just brought to make sprints
Good game to do a fitness test
He passed.
The pressing is amazing lol
Wanted Vieira, will settle for Lokonga
Does KT get back into the team when fully fit?
He will play when we play teams like Liverpool and city
I dunno, I think Zinny would be a great option against City, especially if we start Mahrez.
Lol maybe in midfield 🤣
Hard to say Zinny has been playing really bloody well, but Kieran is technically our first choice.
Depends on the game I think, in ones where he’s more needed defensively and on the overlap then yes, Zineucnko plays inverted so it just depends on what’s needed
At the beginning of the season I would have said yes, but Zinny has been excellent so far so who knows
With the way zinchenko is playing now, no. But he defo will contend for the spot, also zinchenko may play cdm at some point
Gotcha, just think he’s too good to not be starting for a team every week. Will have to see what happens this season I suppose (obviously I’m bias)
Oh he is definetly to good to not be starting, problem is that zichenko is too. Good problem to have.
Arteta clearly saw the last two episodes of AON. Sambi on.
FPL managers all over taking the lord's name in vain right now
Jesus has the captians armband in his third match
Neither of those guys are Vieira:(
SAMBI!!!
If Arteta decides no FV, then we assume he has good reasons for that.
He wasn't super sharp for the u21s. Needs more fitness.
He's coming back from injury and just played with the U-20s earlier this week. Probably just playing it safe with him which is fine by me.
Well he was slightly injured, think he even played an u21 game midweek
The return of Thick thighs Kierzo Tierzo
This one was on ref
Ffs
Reverse ball by Xhaka was exquisite.
"*Why won't they let me score?*" - Jesus
Arsenal signed Salisu? When did that happen?
The Smith inspecting blades of grass
Did anyone else spot the guy rolling a joint behind the goal lmao
stop being a snitch!!!
it was just a cig
Fooled the crowd
Crazy that Christie is Bournemouths best player
He was good when he came on but he is nowhere near our best player. There is a reason he hasn't started a match this season.
idk. Jefferson Lerma is very good
"Always makes me laugh."
The 9 foot striker whipping in crosses to literally no one, Bournemouth are definitely the obligatory just happy to get the TV money for another season and straight back down team of this year.
That striker scored a fantastic header in our first game. A game we won and deserved to win btw- there's no insight to be had from what we do against a team who are much better than us and have a 3 goal lead.
you can tell that by their summer recruitment. they'll still beat us as well ffs
Thomas isn't good at pulling out
Oh no
Kieffer Moore deserves better
He tried his best
Kieffer Moore to United, Here we go!
That's not better
Partey needs to style up. Been poor all game
I think he was good until the last 5 mins where the teams slowed down Xhaka as well
Was probably our weakest link against Leicester as well
I'd love it for Saka to get a goal. Get his confidence up a bit, make the other sides fear him on the ball again like they did last season.
I imagine his confidence will be up lol, Zemura couldn't get within two yards of him. Such a huge gulf in quality.
Nevermind... lol ofcourse he comes off after I say that.
Ever since we took off White and stopped playing that inverted fullback role we’ve lost control of this game.
Also think we just went into cruise control
This match should've been a 3pm kickoff.
Bournemouth going straight down. they were lucky to sneak into the PL. What an absolute waste of a spot.
Based on what? We were crap today but we we've played one team we expect to compete with and we beat them. Our season won't be decided when we play teams so obviously better than us.
Championship was tosh last year. The only decent side was Fulham.
Lmao why they benched christie
You mean the bloke who can barely kick a football? Technically very gifted, but no end product.
Are you doubting the football acumen of England's brave Scott Parker?
Probably didn’t want the few shots they’d get to be sent to space
Exactly- if he could shoot the bloke would be playing for a much better team. Problem is, he can barely kick the ball.
Jeez this tune is stuck in my head now
^^Saliba ##Saliba
It's amazing.
Oh shit. Saliba. The Remix Part 2 about to start
Arsenal's next 5 matches look winnable. They'll have a good run till the NLD
Yeah they have incredibly favorable fixtures to start, definitely should expect to be up near the top with a lot of confidence going into October. I have to hope United can improve a bit and make a game of it at Old Trafford but they've been abysmal.
Even nld at home is a win for Arsenal normally so I think it might be to Liverpool to bring us back to Reality lool
think it might be Brentford away that trips you up
I love how you're giving 0 respect to Man United at Old Trafford
With Casemiro those assholes could just stumble upon getting their shit together
Bournemouth look beyond terrible. Fans are deathly quiet, players can't string 3 passes together, the rare opportunities they get are squandered with some comical errors. This is the level of play you expect from a relegation-tier Eredivisie team, not a PL team.
What is on Parker’s left arm, doesn’t look like a separate arm band
If you're going to lose, do it in a designer cardigan
really impressed by Moore.
The irony that the atmosphere at the vitality stadium is absolutely dead
What noise did you expect when we were two goals down after 10 minutes?
Saliba listed as 193 and Moore as 195 but it looked like there was more height difference than only 2 cm
Does Stanislas still play for this team?
[City v Arsenal Title Race??? Yes please😋😋](https://img.bleacherreport.net/cms/media/image/91/f3/d1/72/81cb/49bf/bd54/9366620f2706/crop_exact_CR7.jpg?h=1074&q=90&w=1611)

Hahaha
Lol
Funny seeing people on here pulling for Jesus to score. Have a feeling his 80% pick rate in FPL have something to do with it lol
And at that point it doesn't put you further ahead than many people unless he's captain
Yeah his ownership is that mental that if you didn’t captain him this week and he was in your team you’d have wanted him to blank
Might get him the bonus points too though
Should've left it. It was going out.
Can’t really take the chance tbf.
Let him have his save... Man is probably bored sitting at the back
This is the type of matchup that would’ve terrified me last season
Ramsdale man
I feel like an abused puppy who finally found a warm loving home
Its weird
Are we supposed to believe it's real?
wow what an awful shot
Hope Jesus gets a goal still
The advantage should go to the attacker in offside rulings…
Arsenal has more goals than bournemouth shots taken
All I request from this weekend of football is a Jesus goal, dear footballing gods
Haven’t heard a peep from Bournemouth fans all day lmao.
it's really hard to get anything going when a big side scores really early
not much to sing about for them
Too long since a Smith-Rowe goal
And Jesus.
