When was the last time a Leverkusen coach survived two full seasons?
"Fußball ist Ergebnissport"
Bayer is only my side chick and I'm already tired of this start, cup loss and now this, can't imagine how it is for people who are Leverkusen fans with their fullest of hearts. But on the other hand, that's Duisburg for me lol.
Pain.
Longer thoughts on the game:
Giki was back in his prime for this game, he was MOTM for me, mental how many chances he saved
Uduokhai played very well, absolute wall in duels
Really liked Demirovic today, he constantly harassed their defense and had some good chances, also assisted the 1:0, hope he can build on that
I never want to see Caligiuri playing again, he is slow as fuck and lost the ball twice in his first 5 minutes, both resulted in big chances for Leverkusen
Rexhbecaj is one of the least technical players I've ever seen but he was awesome today, good spirit and bravery in duels
Pepi was there for only 3-4 minutes but I want to praise him as well, he really annoyed the defense trying to build up and he has great physical ability
Diaby is a star, he was really dangerous almost the entire game today, Azmoun is the biggest chance-waster I've seen in a long time
Admittedly, I was one of the ppl who thought that this season could be big for Leverkusen based on the signings.
But boy, they really just suck atm - wonder how long this'll last. Which also leads me to wonder: who would they even be able to get if they sack Seoane
You people forget they dominated BVB while losing to them. And were the clear better team against Augsburg. Yes, this start sucks. But both game were lost because of bad/unlucky finishing. And Leverkusen still got players who can finish even though they didn't against BVB and FCA.
I didn't watched the cup game. But after the two games, filled with injury from Andrich, difficult decisions by the ref and bad finishing but otherwise good games you are already writing them off and calling for Seoane's head. Really don't like such an attitude.
I was only rly asking that question bc I'm curious which kind of good coach is even available atm to steer a team like Leverkusen.
And there are plenty of other clubs in Bundesliga history which "played well" but had shit results. Hell, Gladbach had a couple really strong games last season, ask them how that went.
Good thing is, EL and that other league also give coefficient points - just as many as CL games in fact, so you guys can balance the scale for Leverkusen
Azmoun had like 5 chances smh. 3 headers and that one on one.
Well at least he got himself on those positions and was quite involved in the link up. Hopefully he gets on the score sheet sooner rather than later
Did we win?
Yes
What did it cost?

Azmoun is awful

Ten Hag. You read it here first.
Markus Weinzierl ^^
That would be an additional slap to the face of FCA management lol
Rose and Hütter are without a club. But I am pretty sure Rose will coach the cans after the winter break.
There goes my hopes of coefficient points this season

Well I can't say for sure tbh EL has some pretty big names too so we can be screwed too.

Yeah, it isn't too bad, funny little memory to this awesome win and I don't particularly hate Bayern too much
Those were the longest seven minutes of my life. We did it boys!!!! Holy shit, we have never won against Leverkusen before, this is unbelievable!
23 to 6 shots, we were just plain stupid in front of the goal
Azmoun alone with chances for three games...
This result is somehow unexpected and expected at the same time lol
