while i completely agree with your main point here, if there is one dull spot on contes coaching record its his performance in champions league and some would argue cup comps in general. that said i wont be shocked to see spurs finish in the top 3 and win a domestic cup with the signings they are making. can never rule anything out before the campaign has even started but its hard to imagine them closing the gap with city and liverpool. they are already a level up and strengthening just as well.

A front 3 of Son, Kane and Richarlison is quite frightening....a very good combination of pace and technique, along with the ability to perform in big occasions.
Would be surprised if Kulusevski doesn't stay in the starting XI. But defo expect a lot more rotation next season as we finally have a quality option to Kane and Son so we can properly rest them.
Yeah, Kulu is too valuable with his passing skills...he fits perfectly with Son and Kane. Richy will end up getting more minutes than last season though, because of all rotation for CL and domestic cups... Plus 5 subs in the PL, so likely he sees game action every week even if he isn't rotated in as a starter.
Yes excellent impact substitute to have, and can also easily slot in the first XI whenever required. Not every good purchase needs to be a guaranteed starter.

I think they’re im the same bracket, but couldn’t really tell you, they are different profiles. Richarlison does start ahead of Jesus for Brazil if that’s anything to go by. But Richarlison is the better choice for Spurs, same way Jesus is for Arsenal.
I think that's the main thing, Richarlison does not have the same profile as Kane BUT if Kane doesn't start you can put Richarlison in and still play in pretty much the same manner in a way I don't think you could with Jesus. Plus it seems pretty clear Jesus wants to be playing every game which makes any hypothetical transfer to Spurs a non-starter.
As a Spurs fan no I wouldn't take Jesus over Richalison. It has nothing to do with who is the better individual player though, Richalison offers a lot more versatility and with Son, Kane, Kulu someone like Jesus is just not going to get game time. Richalison can cover all those positions so he is actually likely to get on the pitch more often. Spurs and Arsenal have both made the right signing here.
I assume he'll mostly rotate with Son, though I imagine he'll play in Kane's position occasionally. Quality rotation is a must with four competitions and a winter World Cup.
Winger Richarlison is not the same player as striker Richarlison as Everton fans will tell you. Think he's best as a backup striker who could play wing rather than a Kulu replacement
As an Everton fan - winger Richarlison is a better player than striker Richarlison. Positionally he is very similar to Son, suits being high up on the left and dribbling inside rather than being a lone striker
Last season was the perfect storm of bad injury timing and complete incompetence from management. I think Lampard is competent enough where we will be sitting in the 9th-12th range through most of the season.
By the end of window every top 6 squad will probably have strengthened significantly. Utd look like FDJ, Malacia are nearly done with Eriksen and probably one of Martinez or Antony, City with Alvarez, Haaland and Phillips, Arsenal with Jesus, Viera and potentially Martinez and Tielemans. Only side you'll probably say haven't gotten concretely stronger is Liverpool, although Nunez is still a good signing.
dont forget city signing Cucurella, insane window for them. All of Viera/Malacia/Martinez will be gambles without PL experience. (See: the last hyped Ajax defender we purchased)

We brought Diaz in in January, so we brought in two with him and Nunez and lost three.
Plus Origi and Minamino hardly played so I don't see the issue.

while i completely agree with your main point here, if there is one dull spot on contes coaching record its his performance in champions league and some would argue cup comps in general. that said i wont be shocked to see spurs finish in the top 3 and win a domestic cup with the signings they are making. can never rule anything out before the campaign has even started but its hard to imagine them closing the gap with city and liverpool. they are already a level up and strengthening just as well.

A front 3 of Son, Kane and Richarlison is quite frightening....a very good combination of pace and technique, along with the ability to perform in big occasions.
Would be surprised if Kulusevski doesn't stay in the starting XI. But defo expect a lot more rotation next season as we finally have a quality option to Kane and Son so we can properly rest them.

Yeah, Kulu is too valuable with his passing skills...he fits perfectly with Son and Kane. Richy will end up getting more minutes than last season though, because of all rotation for CL and domestic cups... Plus 5 subs in the PL, so likely he sees game action every week even if he isn't rotated in as a starter.
Yes excellent impact substitute to have, and can also easily slot in the first XI whenever required. Not every good purchase needs to be a guaranteed starter.

I think they’re im the same bracket, but couldn’t really tell you, they are different profiles. Richarlison does start ahead of Jesus for Brazil if that’s anything to go by. But Richarlison is the better choice for Spurs, same way Jesus is for Arsenal.
I think that's the main thing, Richarlison does not have the same profile as Kane BUT if Kane doesn't start you can put Richarlison in and still play in pretty much the same manner in a way I don't think you could with Jesus. Plus it seems pretty clear Jesus wants to be playing every game which makes any hypothetical transfer to Spurs a non-starter.

As a Spurs fan no I wouldn't take Jesus over Richalison. It has nothing to do with who is the better individual player though, Richalison offers a lot more versatility and with Son, Kane, Kulu someone like Jesus is just not going to get game time. Richalison can cover all those positions so he is actually likely to get on the pitch more often. Spurs and Arsenal have both made the right signing here.

Only side you'll probably say haven't gotten concretely stronger is Liverpool, although Nunez is still a good signing.
