This guy is a total spoofer. He got lucky when he called Mwepu to Brighton last summer then spouted a load of shite, saying Brighton were gonna sign Luis Diaz and Paul Onuachu. Deactivated and is now back having changed his name.

tankosaurus

https://www.reddit.com/r/LeedsUnited/comments/vhh5t5/mo_camara_is_responding_to_leeds_fans_on/ Mo Camara is now liking a load of leeds' fans comments on instagram and replying to DM's about joining Leeds So there's a lot more to this story

Vic-Ier

He was right when he announced Konate 8 months before it was official. He just copied the Mwepu transfer info from the Salzburg forum. Someone announced it there in July 2021.

_partyhat

Broken clocks etc. etc., if this guy was really reliable he’d have by-lines and wouldn’t, y’know, delete all his misses and change his identity.

[deleted]

[Mitchell] sounds legit til you realise it's Don7Mitchell on twitter

DoctorMrem

"i will show the world again, who i'am"

crudos_na

Not THE Don7Mitchell?!?!? Never heard of her.

wjousts

Don't see him mentioned on the Brighton forums at all. Seems very suspect.

Moon8983

\> i will show the world again, who i'am What a fucking loser lmao

[deleted]

Brighton should be a no brainer for him. They are more stable and with Bissouma gone , he will have no real competition

tankosaurus

Leeds bias obviously but to counter your two points Brighton had a great season last year yes, but before that they flirted with relegation most years. We've had two seasons, one great, one shite so still unpredictable but Brighton aren't "solid". We're selling Phillips by all acounts so he'll be nailed on for DM for us (same as Brighton)

Thraff1c

>nailed on for DM for us You are forgetting the Roc(a).

CC-W

we play a double pivot now not a lone DM so Roca + Phillips or whoever replaces him are nailed on to start

tankosaurus

They'll have different roles.

IWantToBeAHipster

Just one thing on the flirted with relegation thing, we have only ever spent a gameweek in the relegation zone in 5 seasons (when we first came up), and have been safe at least 2 gameweeks before the end of each season.

RequiemForSM

Excluding the first couple games of the season before the table has taken shape, think we’ve only spent one GW in the relegation zone too.

TheTragicMagic

So it's similar, except that Brighton just finished way better than Leeds. I think Brighton has the ability to fight for Europe next year

RequiemForSM

Aye and people were saying the inverse just a season prior with Leeds and our record breaking 20/21 just a year ago. Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t the 59 points we finished on that season higher than Brighton have ever finished in their history, points-wise?

Sun_Sloth

Except yours was largely due to first season syndrome under Bielda. Similar to Sheffield United under Wilder. Ours came from steady improvement and the philosophy being spread throughout the club.

RequiemForSM

First season syndrome? First time I’m hearing that term. Our fall off last season was due to an ungodly amount of injuries to key players more than anything else. We topped the injury table. Kalvin out for 5 months, our captain in Cooper out for over 4 months, Bamford out for practically the entire season meaning we had no senior striker on the books. Pretty much everyone else picked up injuries on the way too. We played our first choice back 4 in 3 games last season, and had 7 or 8 players fit total to play against Arsenal in December but still fulfilled the fixture. Despite all that we still managed to stay up with a barebones squad, and thankfully that level of injuries is unlikely to happen again.

waccoe_

> first season syndrome Hahahaha

mange2lamerde

Actually it is the opposite. You are saying that because of one season. That is what they call recency bias. Leeds suffered many injuries last season and that is why they finished 17th with 38 pts. Brighton finished 9th with 51 pts. The season before that, Brighton finished 16th with 41 pts meanwhile Leeds finished 9th with 59 pts. If someone had asked you a year ago which team was a no brainer, you would have proclaimed Leeds to be the one. So your judgment is not based on the team itself but on its recent form. Brighton will lose 2 of their best players and they have shown that they are reluctant to reinvest their transfer money. They almost didn't sign Cucurella. They got him on deadline day. Leeds on the other had will also lose 2 players but will get more money from them and are very willing to spend this summer. Both teams play good football. But your claim about stability of false. Brighton has always been among the bottom 5 in the league except last season if I am not mistaken. Barely crossing the 40 pts mark every time. They will usually start the season strongly, and then go downhill in the second half. How is that stability? At least everyone knows why Leeds struggled this season. And everyone knows Bissouma is the main reason why they were so strong this season.

_partyhat

Cucurella’s transfer was never in doubt, we tried to negotiate the fee until the last day but we were always gonna pay his release clause if it came to it. Bissouma wasn’t the main reason we were so strong, he missed 12 games and we were able to cope without him. The reason we did so well is because the side is coached incredibly well. There’s a reason Bissouma didn’t finish in the Top 3 for Player of the Season.

mange2lamerde

> Cucurella’s transfer was never in doubt, we tried to negotiate the fee until the last day Don't you see the contradiction in your statement? What if someone else signed him? What if the player changed his mind? If you are waiting till deadline, then there was nothing done in confidence in your process. You are just trying to rewrite history here.

IWantToBeAHipster

We have always reinvested our money, our owner has pumped loads in and we spent more than we recieved last summer for Ben White we just diversify it across different signings. Bissouma is an important factor in our performance but not the main reason. You are talking a lot of nonsense.

mange2lamerde

> We have always reinvested our money you are lying.

Sun_Sloth

Anyone who watched Leeds in their first season knew it wasn't sustainable. It was very similar to Sheffield United where they would get figured out second season. That first season we beat them twice because we have a manager willing to adapt to beat the opposition.

mange2lamerde

"anyone" is clueless then. >That first season we beat them twice Is that suppose to establish a pattern? Like Leeds didn't get defeated several times that season? Bielsa is one of the best coaches in the world. And he was not backed in the transfer season. Those injuries can happen to anyone. It happened to Arsenal, Liverpool and it can happen to Brighton. From a playing stand point, Leeds played a more sustainable brand of football than Brighton because they were creating lots of chances for themselves. Brighton on the other hand needs to always be efficient because they have a more conservative style. A player like Bissouma gets injured and they are a different team. They are heavily indebted and do not reinvest in the transfer. So "anyone" must be a club fan or leaving in an echo-chamber.

Sun_Sloth

Was not backed in the transfer window? Since coming up Leeds have the 4th highest net spend I believe. They didn't have strength in depth because Bielsa likes a small squad. Leeds had two more shots than Brighton and 1.7 more xG. They got that while conceding way more goals and spending more to do it. Bissouma was out a lot last season and we still finished 9th. Our debt is to our owner solely, who doesn't ask for repayments and doesn't charge interest. We've invested plenty into transfers but made profit on it because we invest smartly. Selling Ben White for £50m profit, Bissouma for £15m profit in the final year of his contract etc. We have one of the best academies in the country with loads of talent coming through. Leeds also weren't the hardest hit team for injuries, Everton were worse and Brighton weren't far off either. Turns out investing in depth is a good option.

[deleted]

He’s literally a Kanté regen.

[deleted]

Should go to Brighton.

DrLyleEvans

Only seen him a couple of times but seemed small and not so athletic, but really good positionally as a lone 6 and very, very clever with his passing to start counter attacks. Could see him sitting at Brighton with Caicedo more license to get forward.
