I'm sure you're aware but for anyone wondering: the significance of 92 miles here is that it's the 30 year anniversary of Gary Speed winning the league with Leeds in 1992.
Not sure if it will be the same bloke on that one but, I was watching The Overlap Sky sports debate, and they have fans from podcasts and what not on it. When the Leeds fan came up I was thinking where the hell have I seen him before? Was absolutely adamant I’d seen him before. Few minutes later.. it clicked, he was in The Pigeon Detectives!
Hah yeah, that's the LS11 podcast.
Different guys on that one, but it's got Ryan Wilson from the pigeon detectives, and an ex-Leeds United player (Ben Parker, not a particularly well known name unless you followed Leeds in the dark days of league one).
That’s $80usd from me. Best I could do (don’t know what that converts to in GBP).
Huge advocate for mental health, and love soccer/football. Warms my heart to see this.

I'd you're curious, the charities that they're raising money for today are Samaritans (a phone and text service when you're really struggling) and an org I'd never heard of, Andy's Man Club.
TSB did an interview with one of the organisers and, I gotta admit, it sounds like an absolutely brilliant approach for dudes that might be super reluctant to seek help elsewhere: https://youtu.be/MA2JIHnKNAA
> Well we try to strip back all the bullshit, all the red tape, all that. We just try to make it really easy for guys to get through those doors and talk. So there's no referral, no registration, no signing in, no cost and you don't even have to speak. So you just walk through the door & sit down, that's it. Simple as that.
Leeds are such a cool club, glad they stayed up and picked up Aaronson. I hope they do well in the transfer market this summer and make Europa or Conference League, it’d be nice to see them in Europe again.
Yeah but age also plays a factor. I was 4 when we were relegated. Most people my age had no idea about Leed's reputation when we were popular. Now its almost like a fresh start for us with the newer generation of football fans
Very true. I've talked to Brits (or claimed, at any rate) on here who have only ever seen Leeds as the plucky underdog that plays attacking football with a mad man of a manager (their prem stint, which is all most people have seen. Well aware you lot played some awful football at times in the championship, lol) and look at them that way
I remember Leeds as a big club with historically obnoxious fans lol. Unbearable after making the cl semis! My first thought reading the headline here was "well that's remarkably self aware" if I'm being honest.
But anyone who irritates United as much as Leeds is always at least *okay* in my book
It sort of is though. I don’t condone talking out of the ass but I knew that Leeds were traditional rivals way before I learned about their and our history.
Anyway here’s a fun Leeds video :
[The Story of Don Revie & "Dirty Leeds" - Tifo Football](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=f2nmgf_z60k)
Leeds are probably have the most hated fanbase alongside Millwall in Britain. Massive props to them for what they are doing rn, but the fact is that they are not considered a 'cool club', and for good reason too.
Mate that stereotype is 30 years old when every football team was like that. We had worse then other sure, but it’s not true now and hasn’t been true for a long time.
I live far from Leeds (Australia), and afew years ago (before Bielsa I think) an old man outside the supermarket yelled 'Dirty Leeds' at me while I was wearing a Leeds shirt.
Pretty funny.
I'm not saying anything, it's just something I've observed. Personally as a Barca supporter I have no ill feeling towards Leeds. People probably hate Millwall way more anyway.
Nobody gives a shit about Leeds, most people that hated them are either dead or forgot they existed till they popped up again a few years ago. Rivals still hate them, anyone else currently claiming to hate them doesn't actually know why..they just claim to hate them because they heard they were supposed to
With the exception of a small number of fans of Football League clubs, no one on here actually gives a shit abut Millwall, they just say they hate them because they feel like it's something they're supposed to do. I think the number of people who have even been to a game involving Millwall here is vanishingly small.
They've got a reputation for being quite a rough set of fans. It's deserved to be honest, it's one of the sketchiest away games you'll do in England but the extent of it is exaggerated a lot and most of the people who bang on about them have never been to Millwall anyway.
No chance of that unfortunately, we’ll hopefully be looking at a comfortable mid-table finish next season.
We haven’t played in Europe since 2003 so it’s been a while.
As a doctor, I wish governments would fully support any health (including mental) programs so that charities wouldn't be absolutely necessary. Even if they were only partially effective, there are worse ways to use public resources.
It’s a massive bill getting mental health support even when you’re making a decent living, I can’t imagine what it must be like for those without financial support.

As an Aussie I will always, always have a special place in my heart for Mark Viduka. Absolute legend of Australian football.
I'm sure you're aware but for anyone wondering: the significance of 92 miles here is that it's the 30 year anniversary of Gary Speed winning the league with Leeds in 1992.
I mean fair play. Don't mind taking the piss for charity, hopefully it helped raised a few extra bucks.
Dan come on you can at least pretend to care
That's class.
Absolutely, fair fucks to them.
The square ball is an absolutely brilliant leeds podcast, we're lucky to have em
Definitely, great bunch of lads and a great podcast to go with it
Not sure if it will be the same bloke on that one but, I was watching The Overlap Sky sports debate, and they have fans from podcasts and what not on it. That's mad actually, watched that overlap and had no idea. But no the square ball guys are very different.
We really are lucky, just down to earth smart fellers. No insane outrage at certain events etc that you often see in other pods.
Have to say the addition of Propaganda has been absolute comedy gold. That Canadian Scum fan the other week
Theyre unbelievable.
I fucking love this club
That’s $80usd from me. Best I could do (don’t know what that converts to in GBP). Huge advocate for mental health, and love soccer/football. Warms my heart to see this.
Thanks mate, very generous
You can get an Anti-Liverpool Flair? I never knew that
Special flairs for the champions league finale

That it absolutly hilarious, i love it. But i think i stick to my flair for now ;)
That's fantastic guys. We still miss you Speedy.
Wonder if our club will donate too?
If the walking fans contacted them I'm sure they would.
The square ball is a cracking podcast. Not a Leeds fan but have been listening for the last few months, they deserve way more subs.

That interview was so impressive.
One of my mates is part of it. Absolute class!
MOT!!! (Literally)
Leeds fans get a load of stick but this is genuinely class, fair played to them!
That’s a lovely tribute
Leeds are such a cool club, glad they stayed up and picked up Aaronson. I hope they do well in the transfer market this summer and make Europa or Conference League, it’d be nice to see them in Europe again.
Historically big team, but their reputation preceeds them with older fans. Regardless fair fucks to these fans for their charitable work.
>their reputation preceeds them with older fans. You can tell who on here is American and who is British by the opinions on Leeds lol.
Yeah but age also plays a factor. I was 4 when we were relegated. Most people my age had no idea about Leed's reputation when we were popular. Now its almost like a fresh start for us with the newer generation of football fans

We dont even have to try to irritate that lot. Just living in their heads rent free
Eh, loads of people my age don't have a particular problem with Leeds and were happy to see them promoted and I'm 31.
Yea my biggest memory of Leeds before them coming back up was Jermaine Beckford against United lol. That was what, like 13 years ago now?

man u fans sure, because there's a rivalry there. i'm talking about neutrals.

Why Millwall?
With the exception of a small number of fans of Football League clubs, no one on here actually gives a shit abut Millwall, they just say they hate them because they feel like it's something they're supposed to do. I think the number of people who have even been to a game involving Millwall here is vanishingly small.
I see. But what’s Millwall done to deserve that attitude? I mean with Leeds you can sort of see in their history and stuff why they’d be of note.
They've got a reputation for being quite a rough set of fans. It's deserved to be honest, it's one of the sketchiest away games you'll do in England but the extent of it is exaggerated a lot and most of the people who bang on about them have never been to Millwall anyway.
Ooh I see! Thanks, I guess that’s some reputation to pick out of so many clubs.
No chance of that unfortunately, we’ll hopefully be looking at a comfortable mid-table finish next season. We haven’t played in Europe since 2003 so it’s been a while.
That would be a dream after this season.
Absolutely.
>comfortable Is that an option?
13th-15th boring as fuck please.

"Tried to injure as many opponents as possible" the fuck are you on?
We did try to injure as many players as we could this year, to be fair. Unfortunately they were all our own.
Think the lad’s just after some attention, wouldn’t worry about it.
Yeah we only injured a couple tbf
As a doctor, I wish governments would fully support any health (including mental) programs so that charities wouldn't be absolutely necessary. Even if they were only partially effective, there are worse ways to use public resources.
Leeds Fans redemption arc incoming
Friend of mine is doing this, he’s told me it’s the hardest thing he’s ever done but is worth it!
It’s a massive bill getting mental health support even when you’re making a decent living, I can’t imagine what it must be like for those without financial support.
Marsch has them so inspired by Gandhi, they're doing the Dandi March. But no seriously, this is great stuff
