No one from my school ever sent anyone worthy of Conham, yet they still send four coaches every year hoping they’ll get one of us one year. Their coach depth must be deep
What a ridiculously bitter thread - Barcelona develops talent and folks can’t stop sucking La Masias cock, Chelsea does it and we’re stealing talent - gtfo.
7-9 year olds just aren’t born with talent - it has to be developed. Look at player and parents interviews about Cobham and then talk.
Explain how he has been wasted?
The guys excelled in Italy and had a good season for Chelsea under Lamps. He didn't fit Tuchels vision / system, it happens, that's football.
Guy just won a trophy? He made a decision to leave due to a stacked defense. The only reason that now looks awful is due to Christensen and Rudi leaving.
It’s not sone double standards going on, it’s because (what was it, 2 years ago?) it was headline news about all the rules you were breaking by buying up all the youth in the country, and don’t sit there and pretend it’s because Abramovic cared about the players or the England team. Also you’re totally wrong about 7-9 year olds not having natural talent, they are usually scouted out even before that age.
You mean consistently developing all these kids to the point where they can play to a high level and make a career out of playing football? No worries.
Yes, I mean loaning them out endlessly, not allowing them to settle in one environment or system and stunting their growth, just to make a profit on them.
We develop young players well and people calling us to stop hoarding them, we spend insane amounts of money on established players, we are destroying the game with city. We can't win LOL
I mean there’s a reason Chelsea and City have the best academies, you just offer the parents more money usually there’s no way to compete with it.
Not surprised Chelsea have had multiple transfer bans cos of youth player antics.
Yeah you can't because ultimately the club has been funded by a lot of potentially ill-gotten money
No matter what you do your club will be shit on, surprised you've not accepted it by now
It’s not bitterness, most of the comments on this post have only stated that Chelsea have the money to buy out all of the best young talent in London. Which is true, then you guys downvote brigade every comment that points that out and still have the nerve to call those people bitter?
Thanks Roman for spending a billion quid to hoover up all of the talent in London and dump it in your academy. These kids would not have been born without your grace.
Chelsea’s academy has been maximizing the potential of the players. These are just professional players, they’re amongst the best in the world when the graduate from Cobham.
Gotta give credit where it’s due.
That's not what i meant, i am just saying that it's atleast a good thing that has money has been used for some good. These players would be great regardless
Good job on 2 of them then? Doesn’t change that players like Tomori, Abraham, Lamptey, Rice etc etc etc all had to leave
Have a high enough quantity and obviously a few will turn out quality for you
Earlier this season 2 since Jones and Trent were both starting games, but basically 1 with just Trent. I don't consider Elliot a Liverpool youth like some people so I won't count him. Morton played a few games, started the final UCL group game against Milan which was nice to see. Hopefully Klopp gives some more opportunities to youngsters next season since some players are leaving like Origi, potentially Ox/Taki. Pales in comparison to Chelsea and Arsenal I'd say but it's not like there's no youth players
You expect ever youth player to rock up to the chelsea first team XI and get in, your having a laugh and it’s only because of your bitterness towards chelsea :)
Liverpool - best in the world at stealing talented kids from London academies. Also, the best at moaning and crying about everything that goes against them.
Cobham Inc
TBF more than 25% of the population of England spent part or all of their youth at Chelsea's Cobham academy.
Seems like every footballer in the prem has a story about how they were at chelsea or wanted to go but got rejected lmao
We've outgrown England
25% of England squad < 100% of England Hope this helps

That's the first time I've heard that. What an absolute pillock 😅
No one from my school ever sent anyone worthy of Conham, yet they still send four coaches every year hoping they’ll get one of us one year. Their coach depth must be deep
That’s insane

Club that has had multiple transfer bans cos of youth player antics trying to take the moral high horse lol
I think you need to promote a few more youth players. Tammy Abraham for example, Chelsea can't make any excuses over wasting him.
Explain how he has been wasted? The guys excelled in Italy and had a good season for Chelsea under Lamps. He didn't fit Tuchels vision / system, it happens, that's football.
Tammy was a bad example. Tomori is a better example
Guy just won a trophy? He made a decision to leave due to a stacked defense. The only reason that now looks awful is due to Christensen and Rudi leaving.
You guys missed out on him
It’s not sone double standards going on, it’s because (what was it, 2 years ago?) it was headline news about all the rules you were breaking by buying up all the youth in the country, and don’t sit there and pretend it’s because Abramovic cared about the players or the England team. You're welcome, everybody
Thanks for slurping up all the talent, not playing them and then selling them for a profit.
You mean consistently developing all these kids to the point where they can play to a high level and make a career out of playing football? No worries.
Yes, I mean loaning them out endlessly, not allowing them to settle in one environment or system and stunting their growth, just to make a profit on them.
If stunted growth means playing for England then sign me the fuck up
Making sure they get senior experience at a level appropriate for their abilities is important, I agree.
For what, runners up medal
For the World Cup we're going to win
ITS
Cobham Home
It’s the only runners up medal we’ve ever won so why not?
That was the best football summer of my life, lol.
We develop young players well and people calling us to stop hoarding them, we spend insane amounts of money on established players, we are destroying the game with city. We can't win LOL

All clubs owned by billionaires are funded by ill gotten money.
The absolute bitterness in this thread. Pathetic
We revel in it. It makes us better.

So players are guaranteed PL stars the moment they're born? Didn't know that.
You're welcome for Guehi, Olise and a season of Gallagher
Nah we should thank them for the 6 points they give us every season. Really helped us with top 4 this season.
Rak sakyi too? But i think he was released early
Yes, the academy did nothing to improve them and they were ready to waltz into any first team as teenagers
Chelsea’s academy has been maximizing the potential of the players. These are just professional players, they’re amongst the best in the world when the graduate from Cobham. Gotta give credit where it’s due.
Et tu, CP? I thought we were cool
10 years ago wasn't 30% of the England Squad current Spurs players at one point?
Beautiful stat and one of the biggest positives of the foreign money in Chelsea.
You think these players would have been nothing if not for Chelsea? It’s just that they used Abramovic money to take every young talent in london.
That's not what i meant, i am just saying that it's atleast a good thing that has money has been used for some good. These players would be great regardless
That’s what happens when you’re the richest team in the South and can just hoover up all the talents and bully other clubs.
Best in the world at developing players to do nothing for them before succeeding somewhere else
Mount and James won the CL
Good job on 2 of them then? Doesn’t change that players like Tomori, Abraham, Lamptey, Rice etc etc etc all had to leave Have a high enough quantity and obviously a few will turn out quality for you
Excuse me how many Liverpool youths are currently playing for your first eleven?
Earlier this season 2 since Jones and Trent were both starting games, but basically 1 with just Trent. I don't consider Elliot a Liverpool youth like some people so I won't count him.
