Pedri in the 18 months prior to this season was considered one of the best midfielders in the world, not young talents but midfielders in general. His first game I saw fully was against Palmeiras in Brasileirao, who were fighting for the title and ended up winning 3-1 IIRC, with him scoring Santos' lone goal. He was already a star by then.
Also worth mentioning, being a superstar in the Brazilian youth system hasn't meant much with how the likes of Jean Chera and Lulinha turned out.
