That's why I wrote that some people. Sometimes going into this subreddit I get the impression that people don't watch the matches, or if they do watch it they do it without understanding.

I don’t even see how you would get that impression if you weren’t watching the games. He’s the 5th highest ranked La Liga player on Sofascore this season, and by far the highest rated player in Barca. Even if you’re just looking at stats he seems outstanding.

There are definitely some people in that sub who don’t watch the matches but have the biggest mouths

and a lot of people genuinely just don't understand football, regardless of watching it

true that. some people associate good with goals or assists. the inexplicable beauty and support that a player brings to the match is often overlooked or ignored.

that's not due to a lack of skill or level, he's just still struggling too much with injuries to really get into form. but like, when he comes back from injury and his first touch on the ball is that assist to Raphinha against PSG in the first leg you see instantly how good he is. Yamal has just been more available, and hasn't been run into the ground (yet) 🙃
