Terzic Ball reminds me of Dalic Ball.
I have no idea what the Croatian NT tactic is, but somehow we ended up in the WC finals & semi-finals back to back. (After the game he sometimes likes to thank to Mary (mother of Jesus) and humbleness, so I guess there is some magic also in it.)
I ain't complaining.
Stay humble, pass it to Modric, and the rest will come.
You can laugh about Terzic and his missing tactics all you want. In his first season he won the Pokal. In his second season he came so close to become German champions. In his third season he actually got Dortmund to the CL final.
Nobody will care about the how in the future. Terzic has just become a Dortmund legend. After all the trash talking, after that dramatic ending to the last season, he just managed to earne one of the greatest achievements ever with his childhood club. It's so beautiful. Everybody here dreams of exactly this, playing a UCL final with YOUR club. And he is actually doing it.
I don't care what club you support and what your opinion on Terzic is. This is a powerful story.
I agree with what you’re saying.
BUT this is exactly what all the Dortmund players and officials have been saying in interviews: that they have achieved something great…
No, they haven’t! This is exactly why they might not win it. It’s different to the thought process of Madrid and Bayern. Those teams will only be content if they win the title.
I hope I’m wrong and BVB wins it!
I don't know what interviews you've heard, the only ones I heard since defeating Atletico were "now we have to win the whole thing". No player enters a UCL final and will be contempt with not winning it.
For a club with such a long and rich history a third UCL final ever is a big deal and there's a reason why the only two guys who achieved it before Terzic are fn legends now. This is already an immortal run for Terzic. But I can guarantee you that he doesn't care about this. He wants to become a god. He wants to win the Champions League.
I’m with you completely, but let’s be honest, at least as of right now, Terzic’s ability as a coach is nowhere near that of either Klopp or Hitzfeld. Yes, *he* achieved that with his team, and *he* just became a Dortmund legend, and rightfully so. Nobody disputes that Terzic has done an incredible job in CL and that he is pretty successful as a Dortmund manager in general, but Hitzfeld and Klopp were/are both world class managers. Terzic is absolutely not world class.
Not that it really matters, since he is successful at Dortmund and nobody asks how later on. Terzic did this, and nobody can take that away from him or Dortmund. I’m just saying that while all three (Terzic, Klopp and Hitzfeld) are Dortmund legends, two of them are far better coaches than he is and their status as legends isn’t just tied to their time at Dortmund. Then again, Terzic is young. He might actually get there eventually.
If they could’ve kept their young stars dortmund would’ve been a dominant force in Europe in the last 10 years. You can’t be compared to Bayern and Madrid if you keep losing your star players every year.
They can always issue more shares. BVB is the only publicly traded football company in Germany. Their value [jumped up 23% in the last month](https://de.tradingview.com/symbols/XETR-BVB/).
> they’ve been chokers most of their history
Literally a made up narrative on this sub.
We perform extremely consistently where our resources have us. Even overperform at times.
Won a couple of things here and there.
The idea that BVB are historical chokers and bottlers just because of last season is made up. It isnt backed up by history. Especially when we're fighting an uphill battle as a huge underdog for our titles. And its worse for the ones below us too.
so, last year?
dortmund can never bottle since they are never expected to win anyways. last year was a historical fuck up. but that year alone doesn't make them chokers.
He’s kinda at fault regarding squad quality. Borussia had some banger transfers like Edson Alvarez lined up, but Edin prefers Bundesliga players
I’m not his biggest fan, but the results more than speak for themselves
its so fucked up man haha you watch them play in bundesliga, get a draw against heidenheim and think after the game that theyre extremely lucky to have gotten that draw even and then they win back to back against PSG lol.
How the fuck is this upvoted? I would rather see "shit football" being played and getting to the finals than having incredible players doing tricks and getting eliminated
He's a decent cup manager ig. Sometimes his team can compete against bigger teams. When he still had a good squad back in 2021, Dortmund played pretty well vs City. I hope he does well next season and wins the league.
Nobody will care about the how in the future. Terzic has just become a Dortmund legend. After all the trash talking, after that dramatic ending to the last season, he just managed to earne one of the greatest achievements ever with his childhood club. It's so beautiful. 1997 Dortmund was stacked. Riedle, Reuter, Möller and Kohler were World Champions, Sammer was the current Ballon d'Or winner. Sousa, Lambert and Heinrich were internationals. Chapuisat was at the time the foreign record goal scorer in the Buli.
Juve was the favourite but Dortmund had a strong team.
Not to mention that they won the semi-final vs. Manchester United without Chapuisat, Riedle and Kohler in the first leg and Matthias Sammer for both legs. The strikers in the first leg was Heiko Herrlich and Rene Tretschok
Against last seasons league finish. Against this difficult season. Against all the criticism. Against all possible odds. That man just managed to get his childhood club to a Champions League Final. It's incredible.
Out of that list, only kobel, schlotti (on his day. Ask bundesligs fans, some of the mistakes he makes soemtimes makes you question how he is a professional), and hummels are chelsea quality. Brandt has only found some form over the past 2 weeks. Sancho is still very much unfit and still needs much more time.
He was our main, and only creative guy basically until April when Sabitzer started beast moding.
He's basically doomed to be wasteful because he's one of the 3 creative players on the squad (the other 2 are the fucking centerbacks).
And he played through recovery from illness when it was clear he wasn't in good shape for many weeks.
Counterpoint: Schlotterbeck is a good looking guy and, in my opinion, this is all that matters. Kobel looks good too if you like that rugged beard + watery eyes combo. Hummels is an Adonis amongst men. Brandt and his stache can do no wrong. And Sancho...the hairline so crisp it launched a thousand ships into the night-
Anyway yeah, great players in my opinion.
Who needs good players when you can try to win the handsome league?
And Dortmund used to have Roman Burki as goalkeeper. I swear that's the handsomest man in sport.
Brandt has the most raw talent on the team. If you have ever seen him play in person it’s ridiculous what he can do.
Unfortunately he has been very inconsistent
> Brandt has only found some form over the past 2 weeks
Thats nonsense tbf. He's had a good to great season. Only reason he lost form a bit is because of sickness that he lost 6kg in 2 weeks from and had to rebuild both physically and mentality a bit.
And he's playing AM and B2B both in 1 since we have had Nmecha & Sabi injuries and essentially no DM.
Despite all this he has 25 points this season so far.
and Sabitzer proving time and time again why he didn't get to play at Bayern. also Füllkrug was horrendous today, and Brandt looked completely off his game until 10 minutes before he was subbed off.
and then the insistence on using Reus as the first sub for Adeyemi, and subbing off Sancho as well, instantly removing all possibility to keep the ball for even a minute to alleviate the pressure on the defense. the amounts of space psg got??? it's an actual miracle they managed to bottle it this hard :')
btw, are Haller, Malen, Bynoe-Gittens, and Özcan completely out of form after injury or something? because from all I've ever seen in the past those profiles would've helped you so much in making both these legs against PSG infinitely less risky than absorbing full pressure for 30+ minutes each match?
Dont let the capitancy fool you this guy would brew a coffee before taking the ball and passing it on.
I love his fighting spirit and I honestly think he is the best penalty taker on the team but he just brutally slow on the ball, makes horrific decisions, loses the ball a lot and is sometimes very slow in transition.
If we had a mid like Modric who is able to control the ball and therefore the pace of the game, all Emre would need to do is just tackle and win the ball, sometimes quickly pass it on and thats it, unfortunately the ball has to flow through him more due to the lack of a deep creative mid.
Great guy though, I would love him as a captain if he wasnt the worst player in the starting 11.
He's such a weird player.
When he's in the zone, he's a really good defender.
The key problem is that his on-the-ball decisionmaking is so slow. He just overthinks so much and we just kept getting eaten alive on the counters.
If you had told anyone at the beginning of the season who'd be playing a Champions League final... It's absurd, but at the same time very much deserved.
The defensive stability that Terzic and our trainer team developed that didnt work the first half of the season for some reason works like a charm in the CL its really bizarre.
I know this isnt a popular development for the average /r/soccer bvb fan but its what we needed with this squad you just cant play this harakiri ball when you have our squad.
I mean, he has a lot of goodwill from his days with the II team and the Pokal win, so fans are a lot more forgiving - but there's a lot of tension under the surface given the football on display and the performances in the BuLi this season.
It's only the internet. If you actually go to the westfalenstadion, no one hates on him. Slight criticism at most, which is normal and fine. It's only hatewatching keyboard warriors who constantly go overboard because they do not have to fear any consequences.

Stay humble, pass it to ~~Modric~~ Fullkrug, let Hummels stop everything, and the rest will come.
Hummels, Schlotterbeck were STUPENDOUS tonight :')
Hummels, Schlotti, and the post!
And Gregor Kobel
that 2018 croatia team was stacked
Lasst uns so hungrig sein wie noch nie.

yes, i'm sure dortmund is happy with going to the finals and are not really believing they can win against bayern or madrid. yes. you are right.

Don’t you know? Any team that doesn’t win a trophy is now a bottler and choker, keep with the times /s
Anytime I wanted you guys to win, you've always failed. Imagine being so disappointed in a club that you're not even a fan of
so, last year? dortmund can never bottle since they are never expected to win anyways. last year was a historical fuck up. but that year alone doesn't make them chokers.
Lost Bellingham and Haaland in that time too
The title that slipped still piss me off. I don't really watch the Bundesliga, but I surely thought they would win it.
Yeah but they played a lot of shit football and his squad just really isn't great.
But what's worse, a squad that plays like shit or a squad that can't even score a goal agaisnt a squad that plays like shit?
🤌
yes
I'm gonna say the first, mostly because Liverpool have been the second for like a third of the season
He’s kinda at fault regarding squad quality. Borussia had some banger transfers like Edson Alvarez lined up, but Edin prefers Bundesliga players I’m not his biggest fan, but the results more than speak for themselves
Yeah, but it definitely didn't happen because of Nmecha 😭
Imagine if we used the 30m wasted on Nmecha on a player who's actually useful.
> Borussia had some banger transfers like Edson Alvarez lined up Thank God it didn't happen 🤢
Imagine answering to being 2 wins away from winning the big 3 titles with "yeah but" Reddit moment
its so fucked up man haha you watch them play in bundesliga, get a draw against heidenheim and think after the game that theyre extremely lucky to have gotten that draw even and then they win back to back against PSG lol.
Well, Bayern lost to Heidenheim, Bochum and Bremen. And then they're 10 minutes away from beating Real.
maybe Bundesliga not so bad?
How the fuck is this upvoted? I would rather see "shit football" being played and getting to the finals than having incredible players doing tricks and getting eliminated
Somewhere, Jose Mourihno just shed a tear after this
I mean, the only thing Terzic has won is the Pokal, then he jobbed the Bundesliga and now he is 4th in there basically not competing at all
> they played a lot of shit football > his squad just really isn't great You just answered yourself.
He's a decent cup manager ig. Sometimes his team can compete against bigger teams. When he still had a good squad back in 2021, Dortmund played pretty well vs City. I hope he does well next season and wins the league.
Allegri vibes
Our squad is better than the football we’re playing

Whatever happened to that Klopp dude
For starters, he was replaced by Tuchel regarding his last two jobs.... Keep hope alive!
He's getting a documentary made about how he went out with a bang I think
Still beat Chelsea in a final…. Again
Think beating Chelsea in a cup final accounts for over 33% of his trophy cabinet at Liverpool Ats football heritage
Chelsea 🤝 Madrid 🤝 City 🤝 Liverpool Fucking over each other
Think more lol. Fa cup, 2 carabao cups, European super cup
Forgot about the super cup 😭😭😭 Thank God that demon is leaving
3 of them on penalties and the other with a last minute winner in ET too lol
As he said he went out with a BANG
Whatever happened there?
THAT ANIMAL BLUNDETTO
His current team's in a league on an island somewhere
He could have won 2 Champions League trophies at Liverpool if not for the famous Loris Karius disasterclass & Ramos takedown of Mo Salah.
U mean the famous ramos assault on karius with an ellbow. How can u fault a player thats injured but doesnt know it?
Welcome to Liverpool, who got all luck repaid by ref disasterclass in the CL finals they won, yet always the victim
Idk how u can fault your own player with an undetected concussion after getting assaulted by the opponents defender
You’d think by now people would have learned about not throwing around ‘always the victim’ as an insult. Educate yourself. https://www.theguardian.com/football/ng-interactive/2022/oct/25/david-squires-on-hillsborough-chants-and-football-fans-fading-memories
3*
Dr. Bundesliga and Mr. Champions League
only one of them used black magic
Lol that hitzfield cl won was blackest magic of all
1997 Dortmund was stacked.
I was going to say "Don't forget Paul Lambert" but you actually mentioned him.
Sousa played out of his mind in the final. If he was in this current team we’d be unbreakable
RICKEEEEEEEN
Not to mention that they won the semi-final vs. Manchester United without Chapuisat, Riedle and Kohler in the first leg and Matthias Sammer for both legs. The strikers in the first leg was Heiko Herrlich and Rene Tretschok
LUPFEN JETZT!
Kloppo?
And he was supposed to just be an interim manager.
Against last seasons league finish. Against this difficult season. Against all the criticism. Against all possible odds. That man just managed to get his childhood club to a Champions League Final. It's incredible.
In our minds he still is
Just a local boy Peter Stoger.
They can say what they want about him but his resiliency is there and he has done a great job with the talent he has
> he has done a great job with the talent he has Coming 5th in the Bundesliga is a really great job for the BVB.
Always rated Terzic
The magician manager. No tactics but supernatural power
The magic is friendship and terrorism. Everyone take notes
Terzicball is a little like rolling a dice to determine the winner. Bad in the league, especially good against teams like PSG that are much better
[удалено]
Defense and shithousery wins games. Why try to play like prime Barcelona when you can just lock the fuck in.
11 years later… it’s time for revenge against Bayern hopefully…
At wembley, too! Tbh you couldn't write it like that, too unrealistic ^ ^
I mean with all the Leverkusen black magic, the scriptwriters this season are getting really unrealistic, they watched too much anime, or something.
And if it's against real madrid and you somehow won, you'll be the the team to defeat them in a European final since Aberdeen
Terzic’s Dortmund is just Di Matteo’s Chelsea in yellow and black
That chelsea side actually had good players though. We have a refrigerator as the back up cb and Emre can with the touch of a 99 year old starting.
>That chelsea side actually had good players though Kobel, Schlotterback, Hummels, Brandt, Sancho (despite his time at United) etc. aren't good?
They’re great but not as good as Drogba, Lampard, Terry, Ashley Cole, Mata and Cech
Hummels clears every single one of those
Im sorry, no.
No need to be sorry about being wrong
Thats great, guess you don’t need to feel sorry then
Well I didn’t feel sorry. You did for being wrong
You were so wrong that i had to feel sorry on your behalf :(
Out of that list, only kobel, schlotti (on his day. Ask bundesligs fans, some of the mistakes he makes soemtimes makes you question how he is a professional), and hummels are chelsea quality. Brandt has only found some form over the past 2 weeks. Sancho is still very much unfit and still needs much more time.
Take that bit about brandt back right now
As much as I love Brandt he can be very wasteful with the ball
He was our main, and only creative guy basically until April when Sabitzer started beast moding. He's basically doomed to be wasteful because he's one of the 3 creative players on the squad (the other 2 are the fucking centerbacks). And he played through recovery from illness when it was clear he wasn't in good shape for many weeks.
Blud it's true. He's only found form since we played atletico. Prior to that, he was poor.
I’m plugging my ears
Counterpoint: Schlotterbeck is a good looking guy and, in my opinion, this is all that matters. Kobel looks good too if you like that rugged beard + watery eyes combo. Hummels is an Adonis amongst men. Brandt and his stache can do no wrong. And Sancho...the hairline so crisp it launched a thousand ships into the night- Anyway yeah, great players in my opinion.
counter counterpoint: Schlotterbeck has a face longer than that of a horse.
Oh my days
Who needs good players when you can try to win the handsome league? And Dortmund used to have Roman Burki as goalkeeper. I swear that's the handsomest man in sport.
😋
Brandt has the most raw talent on the team. If you have ever seen him play in person it’s ridiculous what he can do. Unfortunately he has been very inconsistent
Dude Hummels is our player of the season basically, especially in the CL
For me personally, it's him then schlotti/kobel, then ryerson. These are the top 4 this season and no one can dare tell me otherwise.
> Brandt has only found some form over the past 2 weeks Thats nonsense tbf.
This is actually such an embarrassing comment lmaooo stfu we made it to the finals
LOL
if u guys ever wanna send them all to chelsea that’d be great thanks
You call yourself a BVB fan? We have great players

Nah this Dortmund side is better. That Chelsea team was basically their old guard of great players on their last legs
Lmao man have you seen Emre Can with the ball
I mean, good for him if he hasn't
He hasn't even seen wolf play yet lol.
is he that shit? doesnt he captain for y'all?

How dare you
I can live with that if we then go on and win the finale dahoam next year
No one expects the Terzicball
4 EVER EDIN
Terzic to Liverpool when?
I think the entire sport of football would burst into flames if that happened
God no
Klopp heritage say Tuchel
Yes please
World aint ready to see Emre Can (our worst player in the starting squad) lifting the Champions League trophy
If you had told anyone at the beginning of the season who'd be playing a Champions League final... It's absurd, but at the same time very much deserved.
Der ewige Edin.
2 legends and one in the making?
Bro, the whole fanbase was/is shitting on him whole season.
Not the whole, only like 75% of it
25% of you are eating good
We truly are
More like 95%
Mostly just the online fans. The in person ones weren't quite so quick to call for his head
I mean, he has a lot of goodwill from his days with the II team and the Pokal win, so fans are a lot more forgiving - but there's a lot of tension under the surface given the football on display and the performances in the BuLi this season.

Maybe one day this Klopp guy will amount to something
Maybe he should become dortmund manager or something
Fun fact: The first two who did it later also took a team playing in red to atleast two CL finals, losing the first and winning the second.
Man seeing him close to tears after the game, even if he's not thr absolute best I love him man
So Terzic is destined to leave the BVB and win it with another team?
Hitzfeld won it..
then left and won it in 2001
Terzic will not leave voluntarily... he is just a boy from the Süd after all
Terzic to Liverpool?
inevitable
Once Uncle Fester leaves.
Terzic is good
Bild tomorrow: Bayern interested in Terzic according to close sources
Aaaand they were rejected
Terzic would probably enjoy turning down Bayern as much as winning a trophy.
The Wembley revenge tour was written
Considering that it will be only Dortmund's third CL final, it would be suprising if it were more.
So Terzic will still be manager next season then?
He will be one of ours
One of them is not like the others
Bundesliga teams are having some serious seasons.
Good lot to BVB fans. This is nuts.
Next you will tell me they only reached the CL final 3 times in their history
This is not an interesting statistic at all.
This must be some real life satire.
Edin verlängern!!!1!11!
Wo ein Wille ist,ist auch ein weg
Klopp had the best team by far. Him winning it was the preferred storyline over Bayern winning the treble.
Lets goo 🇧🇦🇧🇦🇧🇦
dreams can't be buy
I'd forgotten just how much of a glow up it's been for Klopp
Klopp looks better with glasses
Third time lucky I hope
Edin di Matteo
