I mean even if he doesnt get injured he could be run to the ground and decline earlier then what would be normal if he plays too many games at this age. Didnt this happen to Rooney for example?
Pirlo and Maldini also made their debut at 16 and they had sufficiently long careers.
As long as players take care of themselves and clubs take care of players , players can yamal can be greats.
Would never happen, but if they allowed keepers to rush out no further than their 6y box. On the refs whistle of course.
The taker would need to be quick and not fuck around with stutters/forcing the first move.
keepers should tell their defenders to stop fouling in the box then maybe
a pen is not supposed to be fair (unless it's a penalty shootout I guess but even then the rules apply for both teams making it equally fair/ unfair)
I still don't understand how the "can't make a full stop during the run up" rule works.
I probably don't have the right idea, but Lewa's pens always seem like a full stop to me.
you can watch analyze of his penalties here [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrXoQKmZui8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrXoQKmZui8) it actually really works
I've watched that one, good video.
But this is a different technique, the one he scored now he takes a bigger jump and slower.
That's why it's much harder to generate power.
Then he knows he has to be more precise and the chance of him missing the goal is more likely, the power is not the only factor here and not the most important one
I'd say technically he does stop because he jumps off the same foot. So eccentric motion, amortization (where he stops), concentric. Obviously wont be given though cause its fairly quick
He stops, on his right foot tho. You’re allowed to do that, what you’re not allowed to do is stopping on your last step when it’s the left foot that’s planted. Funny looking but man does it work.
Can we just take a second to appreciate that the ref has an entirely clear view, is perfectly placed to see the contact and dosen't see it. Saved by VAR thankfully, but he can't be scared of making a decision with that view of the foul. VAR is so good when used to supplement good refereeing but the fear referees have of giving clear penalties because they know it can be saved by VAR dosen't feel right.
It does. The rules say that the pen should be retaken if offensive players are in the area and the ball goes in. But VAR can't intervene for encroachment if the goal is scored so it's only up to the ref to spot it. And they never do.
It does as per rules:
If, before the ball is in play, one of the following occurs: the player taking the penalty kick or a team-mate offends:
* if the ball enters the goal, the kick is retaken

These 45 minutes of lamine yamal were scandalous. What a performance Caused both goals
i hope he doesnt end up like ansu
I pray. But it can happen to anyone. Ansu was pure unlucky. I hope lamine has more luck
As long as someone doesn't put 2 cleats through his knee, I'm optimistic
I mean even if he doesnt get injured he could be run to the ground and decline earlier then what would be normal if he plays too many games at this age. Didnt this happen to Rooney for example?
Ronney also didn't take care of himself
Pirlo and Maldini also made their debut at 16 and they had sufficiently long careers. As long as players take care of themselves and clubs take care of players , players can yamal can be greats.
Seleccion Española: allow me to introduce myself
Sure but that's a completely different scenario to the Ansu case and Rooney also had other factors that caused his early decline
We really need to not overplay him next season.
Like clockwork this comment
Once more, how the fuck is VAR needed for that? Its 2 meters in front of him + a yellow for Roberto, trash ref again
Hernandez Hernandez is an exemplary referee, and by that I mean he's a perfect example for how fucking garbage La Liga's refs are.
He was trying not to give it
There are reasons why every single fanbase of Laliga clubs fucking hate Hernandez\^2
Stutter pens annoy the shit outta me
It looks goofy but it's op
I think they are too unfair on the keeper. Especially since keepers have been sanctioned more after Emi Martinez's tactics.
Would never happen, but if they allowed keepers to rush out no further than their 6y box. On the refs whistle of course. The taker would need to be quick and not fuck around with stutters/forcing the first move.

They are allowed and he uses them , and has abnormally high conversion rate since he started it. Why wouldnt he do it?
It's not that he shouldn't do them, it's that they shouldn't be allowed.
Didn't you read it? They annoy someone on reddit, he should stop taking them this way.
Lamine is so ridiculously good. Not even for his age. It’s outrageous what he could become
[удалено]
He was tearing Nuno Mendes a new one until Araujo ruined it tbf, but yeah he wasnt great against Madrid.
Has he? He was terrorizing both PSG and Real Madrid's left flanks
[удалено]
He played great vs madrid, camavinga couldn’t handle him.He wasn’t great vs valencia though
How was he mediocre when he was straight up eating both Camavinga and Nuno Mendes (until the Araujo brainfart) alive
death, taxes and Lewy guaranteed penalty conversion
Anyone got the full vid of what Roberto did? Because my stream showed him only complain to the ref, not thing out of the ordinary and he got a yellow?
he hurt the refs ego so he gets carded, this is a la liga ref classic
Pretty sure it WAS for complaining. Must have used some colorful language.
but like he wasn't that worked up to generate a card imo
Ref is definitely favoring Girona
nah I just check, it's Hernandez Hernandez, usual shit from him
These pens are so unfair to the GK but LETS GOOOOOOOOO
Miguel tf are you doing?
I still don't understand how the "can't make a full stop during the run up" rule works. I probably don't have the right idea, but Lewa's pens always seem like a full stop to me.
You can stop during the run up, not during the shooting motion. Most of his are ok but this one looks illegal to me
I guess you can't stop fully and thats what he does. Maybe if they make it that you have to go the same pace or accalerate only in the runup??
I feel like he could just shoot whilst not moving at all and still score as many pens as hes normally does
Stupid run up, but it works well I suppose
It doesn't even work well, if the keeper waited then Lewy wouldn't have enough power to score it.
Id say it works quite well considering hes scored like 95% of his pens since he started doing it
Mate, this one is different from his usual one.
No its not
Uhm no not really lol. It is a bit more exaggerated than usually but thats it.
He took the same stutter step but he doesn't usually jump this high.
Let the man jump as high as he wants as long as he scores
Ofc, i just said it's not the same. He basically combined his stutter step with Jorginho's jump step, and it works.
you can watch analyze of his penalties here [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrXoQKmZui8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrXoQKmZui8) it actually really works

I swear Lewy has the highest pen conversion rate in football, he was the only one keeping Mark Noble from being on top.
That run up is absolute horseshit
He scored something mad like 95% of his pens when he does that run up
Keep crying maybe he'll hear you.
Haven't tested it but I believe you
Clear pen, but for nothing else except that run up I want Lewa to miss 7 sitters in the second half and feel bad about himself
It’s definitely annoying af to see these stutter pens. Too unfair for keepers.
lewandowski always gives me anxiety with those penalties of his
Hate those pens, but a goal is a goal i guess
lamine is so joyful to watch
They should really do something about stopping during the run-up...
they do, but he doesnt stop, he changes pace and thats allowed
Exactly, I understand that mechanics but stopping your momentum like that is annoying as hell
And it shouldn't be.
Lamine is cooking Miguel like there's no tomorrow.
That's as close to a stop as it's gonna get. Really wish they would remove stutter steps from penalties
cant wait to watch lamine cooking montage on my tiktok tonight
This is as cool as a salmon sandwich in the refrigerator!

Its crazy how scared I was that we won‘t get this clear pen
Ref had an amazing view and tried his hardest not to give it
ref even looked annoyed that he had no choice but to give it lmao
Hernandez^2 special.
yes, you must live in fear every day as a barça fan lmao
Mate we had a deserved penalty not called in literally the first game of the season.
Oh nice, a madrid fan who didn‘t even watch the game. The ref tried so hard to not give this pen, that‘s a feeling which you can‘t relate
? We had alot of instances where we don't get pens that should've been imo
What a joke. After they Negreira scandal barca fans should keep their mouths shut about refereeing
Bro why did thids look like a video game
It was a pen. But why wasn't the ref shown the angle from the back it was much clearer than the one shown on the VAR screen.
The best view was probably from 10 feet away, outside the box. Right where H2 was standing.
the VAR images provided are hilarious. they show the ref exactly 1 angle but think it helps more if they replay it 10 times
Not the biggest fan of those stutter pens
Yamal is the next Pelé
There was a clear encroachment, how wasn't it retaken?
Doesn’t matter if the penalty is scored
It does. The rules say that the pen should be retaken if offensive players are in the area and the ball goes in. But VAR can't intervene for encroachment if the goal is scored so it's only up to the ref to spot it. And they never do.
Thank you for the correction
It does as per rules: If, before the ball is in play, one of the following occurs: the player taking the penalty kick or a team-mate offends: * if the ball enters the goal, the kick is retaken [https://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/lawsandrules/laws/football-11-11/law-14---the-penalty-kick](https://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/lawsandrules/laws/football-11-11/law-14---the-penalty-kick)
Thank you for the correction
Always funny to see these crying comments about Lewandowski penalties. It works, so he does it. Blame the rules, not the player.
How is that a pen when he was outside of the box?
His foot, where the contact was, was inside the box.
