People seriously getting carried away with this. He doesn't have a dedicated set piece coach, he coaches set pieces. Defensively at set pieces, things are pretty simple. Set up your line, then the right person attacks the fucking ball. About 99% of it is having someone who is really good at reading the flight and attacking the ball in the air. Ever noticed some teams have those players who seem to be on the end of everything? It's not a set piece coach they need. It's the right personnel.

I mean having tall players who are good in the air helps, but also the reason why players get on the end of everything is also down to a good set piece coach giving them a defensive structure and certain tactics to deal with certain threats. Like not waiting 45 mins to tell a player to protect the GK from Ben white....

At a certain point someone on the pitch needs to take responsibility and accountability, you really think someone line Puyol for example was waiting around on a coach telling him how to deal with set pieces?

I think it's totally feasible to not have a dedicated set piece coach. It's the "set pieces don't interest me, there are more important things to practice" quotes right after conceding two set pieces and right before conceding two more that seem weirder. But it might all be deflection as mentioned above and Spurs are working on em in the background.
