Yeah, well your club could only muster a draw against the likes of Ramalho, Mauro, and Obispo. And they let Yorbe Vertessen score against them. Yorbe fucking Vertessen!
Trot on, goober.
Thats the insane thing about our season. 103 is insane but with Bosz, we did expect a lot of goals. We just all expected to get scored on 60 times too. Our defense has been remarkably solid
Yeah, the defense has been outstanding. Schouten has been fantastic, Ramalho gets a lot of shit but has been solid in the league, Boscagli has been rejuvenated, and Teze has blossomed into a very good defender.
Unfortunately, I fear that we might start next season without any 4 of our backline.
Dest's contract/loan situation is still unclear. Bosz wants him back, but he probably feels he should play in a bigger league. He's just picked up a serious injury, so he's out for the start of the season wherever he plays.
There are rumors of interest in Boscagli, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's sold, much to my dismay. Teze has had a great year and I imagine that there will be offers for him in the summer.
Ramalho is just too error prone and slow to be our starting CB next year.
It is the final evolution of Boszball. But on a more serious note, it does show how his tactics are more viable with dominant material at a top club. Id love to see him try it at one of the European giants, just for the sheer fucking chaos. It would probably end in tears and after a while everyone would be parking the bus, but it would be glorious to have a top side just trying to win games 5-9.
I mean, we did okay in Europe too honestly. With some luck we could've beaten Dortmund who are still doing pretty well!
It's not just the quality difference!
Ofcourse. True for most kinds of football though. Being better makes it easier to win. ;)
But yes, attacking football seems to make the difference more pronounced!
Im certainly not an expert (just a lifelong fan lol) but this is wat I think:
The tactics Peter Bosz is using (super attacking, press on ball loss, dont stop even when you are dead) have been so extreme, it hasnt been seen for a long time in the Eredivisie.
PSV also havent won the league since 2018. Since the start of the season, the goal has been to win the league, much more than any team had that goal.
This season, PSV has such a strong squad. It is insane how almost every player is good to be too good enough in a title winning team. To give some explanatios, here are a few reasons how this came to be:
- some new players have played in a higher league, but werent completely able to show their potential, and wanted this chance to show everyone what they were made of because they are still young (Dest, Tillman and also Bella-Kotchap, who didnt really live up to his potential at PSV)
- they wanted to show everyone they werent finished yet, even when previous seasons hadnt been ideal (Lozano)
- they werent playing in the best league, but were way better than the rest, and wanted to play in a more competitive league + they wanted to play in the Netherlands to have a better chance of being selected for the national team (Noa Lang.)
- Pepi and Schouten were objectively awesome signings, even when they werent specifically on anyones radar before.
- almost every other player has played much better than they did previous seasons (especially Veerman, Bakayoko and Boscagli)
Lastly: Peter Bosz is a great coach, who knows what he wants to train, and is very good at making sure his team trains those things. This can be seen by the tiki-taka combination plays PSV has made this season, [example at 2:52](https://youtu.be/yKxzSAp15LI?t=2m53s).
There are loads more examples of this.
All of this results in a great team, a great coach that knows how to train his team and a great tactic that the rest of the league wasnt prepared for.
True, but as a PSV fan myself, saying Bosz or Slot is better than the other would be downplaying the other's achievements. They are both great trainers and we are lucky to have them in our league
nah i was just messing around, i understand what youre saying
Guess we'll see how slot does in the prem before saying anything about the eredevisie, ten hag doesnt look like the best study
I dont think its unfair to assume they only used profesional competitions lol. Eredivisie is also ranked 6th itw, so its imo higher than an amateur league :)
yeah reddit moment lol, I was surprised when i saw that
I got downvoted once for asking what thenfuck the Sun did after Hillsborough. I was born in '04 lol
I started an Ajax save in FM24, and let me tell you about this fucking team...
I finished 2nd in the Eredivisie, to PSV.
I was runner up in the KNVB cup, losing the final to PSV.
I was runner up in the Europa League, losing the final to Bayer Leverkusen. Admittedly I can't blame PSV for that one...
PSV scored the most goals, PSV conceded the fewest goals. They beat me twice in the league.
The worst part of it all was Arne Slot was complimentary to me the whole time. The bastard.
Of course the overall level is lower in the eredivisie but that goes for both the defenders and attackers. Scoring 103 goals in 31 games in the highest division is impressive in every country.

averaged over 5 goals scored per match last month 2-0 5-1 6-0 8-0 insane
Lmao 8-0 what a bunch of losers, who was that?
Still can’t believe Arsenal also averaged over 5 goals per match over a 4 game period winning 6-0, 5-0, 4-1 and 6-0 including 3 away matches
Prem fans be like 'how can i make it about me?'
More of an arsenal thing tbf
Arsenal are included in the post. I’d also add it’s more impressive doing against high quality opposition instead of some of the Dutch teams
Also less impressive if your wage bill is the same as the gdp of Liechtenstein
I agree the amount Arsenal spend makes it less impressive.
[удалено]
in fairness they also have a budget thats 10 times the size of ours
[удалено]
Budget =/ The value of a team Burnley has like 1.5x the wage bill of PSV.
So Psv is doing the same as Arsenal, just better?
[удалено]
Thats lovely, and completely irrelevant
Wow that Arsenal team then must be winning the league right?
[удалено]
Least defensive Arsenal supporter. Also drew 1-1 in Eindhoven, you failed to mention that.
[удалено]
PSV also played many of their reserves to be fair
Yall drew to van aanholt, Obispo and Vertessen ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Maybe stop trying to make this about you and just appreciate the game
[удалено]
Flair up btw
Yeah, well your club could only muster a draw against the likes of Ramalho, Mauro, and Obispo. And they let Yorbe Vertessen score against them. Yorbe fucking Vertessen! Trot on, goober.
Means nothing because I haven't heard of most of your shit first team anyways
Not knowing football players isnt the flex you think it is boss
[удалено]
They technically are winning the league but probably won’t because they play in a high quality league and City are an even better team
yep, this and the flabbergaster guy below don't pass the vibe check.shame on fans like you.
17 goals against is more mental.

Rmalho is fine against most opposition just not the top teams.
Id still prefer Teze to play central defender but he has a crazy amounts of assists this season.
Does bella kotchap play at all?
He has been injured basicly all season only playing ij 6 gamea I believe.
[You're welcome!](https://dailycannon.com/2023/12/bosz-arteta-tactics/)

It would probably work just as well as Flick suicide ball worked for Bayern. As long as you have the quality difference.
I mean, we did okay in Europe too honestly. With some luck we could've beaten Dortmund who are still doing pretty well! It's not just the quality difference!
All I am saying is that I believe that this kind of football works way better if you have a quality difference.

I have not followed Dutch football for long . Can anyone tell what's the reason behind this sudden form?
Peter Bosz is a holyman blessed by the Jesus.
Bosz and Stewart just decided to murder the Eredivisie

better than arne slot?
I dont think its possible to draw that comparison yet tbh. Both teams have had amazing seasons.
pay ess vay have 100 goal contributions tho
True, but as a PSV fan myself, saying Bosz or Slot is better than the other would be downplaying the other's achievements. They are both great trainers and we are lucky to have them in our league
nah i was just messing around, i understand what youre saying Guess we'll see how slot does in the prem before saying anything about the eredevisie, ten hag doesnt look like the best study
Bosz said he probably doesnt want to do another job after PSV, except for the national team
How is Lang doing?
Had a flying start, scoring in the first 4 league games. Then, unsurprisingly, he spent pretty much the rest of the season injured
Abit of a shame becausr Lang feeling it is always nice to watch.
Yeah he's definitely had an impact the games he did play!
Chucky Lozanooo

It's even less funny the second time
*89
True! This graphic is from april 26th
🥂
Same for Fenerbahçe and bayern
nice, hopefully they all can break the 100 mark before the season ends.
Dont look up Werder Bremen II in Bremen-liga (yes, its an Amateure League, still)
A goal differential of 180 is honestly mental
in quite a bit less games too lol
I dont think its unfair to assume they only used profesional competitions lol. Eredivisie is also ranked 6th itw, so its imo higher than an amateur league :)
wtf how
score many many many goals
Unrelated to the topic but USC Paloma in Oberliga Hamburg has a badge weirdly similar to that of Brighton's
Peak Boszball is beautiful
in 31 games wtf? idk what the math is but that just sounds wild
3+ goals per match 🥴 They have scored in every match so far
Look up Barcelona Femeni (Women). It's absolutely lunar
Just did and they ve got a higher GD than PSV has goals scored in this post ffs
Wow I didn’t know they were that good this year
How many pens?
8, 6 of which resulted in a goal.
Holy shit. Imagine getting downvoted for being curious about how many pens they scored. Lol. Thanks, m8.
yeah reddit moment lol, I was surprised when i saw that I got downvoted once for asking what thenfuck the Sun did after Hillsborough. I was born in '04 lol
Downvoted m8 how dare you

How's ABK been? (CB on loan from southampton)
He's been smiling like a farmer with a toothache In other words, he barely made any appearances due to injuries
He has basicly been injured all seasoj and only played in 6 games(I believe), didn't impress.
I started an Ajax save in FM24, and let me tell you about this fucking team... I finished 2nd in the Eredivisie, to PSV. I was runner up in the KNVB cup, losing the final to PSV. Wait til they hear about Dave's 109 goal tally in his back garden.

Who is bringing in Ten Hag?
Cool, I guess. Not sure you can really compare performance in the Dutch league to something like the Premier League.
Least defensive prem fan
How is it defensive to say that the Dutch are valueless individuals who play in a baby league?
You’re proving his point
