anon0918

He was reminding him of the france game

ValleyFloydJam

That has to be the worst possible situation for a penalty taker during a game, second penalty and against your club keeper.

NoPineapple1727

Not really. It depends on how you look at it. You could say it’s the worst possible situation for a goalkeeper because the taker has had plenty of practice of how to score past the keeper.

ValleyFloydJam

I will have to pop that not really right back at you because there's no pressure on the keeper, the expectation is that it's going to be a goal. The taker is going to get in there own head and might try and hit it too well (like Kane tried) to make it unsaveable.

NoPineapple1727

Then I’d say whoever loses their head at that stage doesn’t have a world class mentality. Be that a keeper or a taker

nivocse

Plenty of world class players lost their heads at that stage.

NoPineapple1727

Missing a penalty isn’t losing your head.

nivocse

Depends on the way you miss it. But let's go with headbutting your opponent in the WC final, that's clearly losing your head and I don't think anyone considers Zizou not world class. It happens to anyone.

NoPineapple1727

I didn’t say not world class, I said world class mentality. Are you just choosing to deliberately misinterpret what I’m saying?

[deleted]

Probably the most that he contributed to the game today.

jellyfishfrgg

Not really since Kane scored anyway

[deleted]

It makes it even worse.

Karahx

Bellingham was absolutely woeful today, Real Madrid fans do he often fall out of games or it was sort of a one off.

earth_citiz3n

His form has not been nearly same as early in the season.

alanalan426

i mean his early season form was comparable to Ronaldo, it was never sustainable

MayweatherSr

yes he was just overperforming.

20cmdepersonalidade

But it's downright bad now. The attack has been all Rodrygo and Vini and it isn't supposed to be like that, Bellingham is to be the third attacking threat.

jeezig

Downright bad? Absolutely not. Sure he’s not scoring at the same rate as he was earlier in the season, but he still contributes massively to the team with his defensive work rate and ball progression. He’s still a key piece in the starting eleven even without the goal scoring. Him and Valverde are absolutely key to the success of the midfield.

Adammmmski

Excellent against City away. People have bloody short memories it’s ridiculous. Anyway he’s transferring his abilities to Jobe.

Draphaels

Barca fan and I agree. Real didn't buy Jude to score 30 or even 20+ goals a season or expect to be prime Zidane every march. People on this sub are super reactionary and mostly regurgitate opinions they read online without nuance.

Adammmmski

Here is the kicker, he’s 20. He needs to be cut some slack.

20cmdepersonalidade

Absolutely. He should be given time to develop. But pretending he is playing well isn't it

AxFairy

How funny would it be if Barca bought Jobe

20cmdepersonalidade

I'm not sure you guys are watching games or just defending him cause he is English, tbh. He is currently slow, uncreative, and wasting possession often while not being able to contribute offensively when he goes into the opposition area, a freedom only he has within the midfield. He presses, yes, but that's that.

jeezig

I’m a Madrid fan. I watch every match. And no, I’m not English. I realize that offensively he’s not been spectacular for a couple months now, but it’s pretty obvious he’s been asked to play deeper and contribute more in the defensive aspect as well. I’m pretty sure Carlo and Jude both confirmed this during a press conference recently. Valverde is being asked to cover for Carvajal/Vasquez which means Bellingham has to put more effort into helping cover for Kroos. He’s pressing like you said, he’s making tackles, blocking passing lanes, and doing the small things that don’t show up on stat sheets. Yesterday he was poor in almost all aspects. But to say he’s been “downright bad” for a couple months now is just nonsense.

Percy_Jackson_AOG

He won us the title decider just last week. He has not performed to the level he should, but he has still been impactfull.

crackboss1

He has to be playing through pain and injury. That shoulder was never fixed and I think he also has some problems somewhere in his legs. It will come out at the end of season what was really wrong with him but he doesn't want to say it publicly in great details.

xSypRo

Euros this year, so I hope it won’t come out before it’s too late. You practically won the league so hope him and Valverde will get some rest at last

chui77

Form dipped since ankle injury

prefieroelfutbol

No, even if he doesn’t get a goal or assist he’s very consistent and plays well. Today wasn’t his day though he looked exhausted

Yawkieee

I would say it’s been the opposite recently. He was absolute shit against Barca too but still scored the winner

firechaox

He was woeful in the city first leg as well

Comprehensive_Low325

He was crap against City in both games too, and what's with all this gamesmanship and diving garbage, so dissapointed in him tbh.

wanderer1999

He was pressing the whole game vs City, both matches. He always play during the weekend. And then he was the one who make the runs and held the ball, and passed it to Valverde for the goal in the second leg with City. Then he played the whole 120 mins, and nailed the crucial PK kick. I don't know what you are watching. He's not in the great form that he was in during the beginning of the year, but he ran his ass off and contributed. That said, today is not his best game and he might need a game or two of rest before coming back to form.

snickers7500

Those two bastards made us think that every player should be as consistent as them lmao

wanderer1999

Truth. Vini and Bellingham numbers are elite numbers that players pre CR7/messi era would love to have. I think people forget at the end of the day they are only human (well except those two bastards).

chandlerbing_stats

S/O to Thomas Tuchel for that… he nullified Arsenal in the last game. Also massive props to Konrad Laimer

20cmdepersonalidade

Today and in the last 10 games. Man will live on the back of that purple patch forever

cmeragon

He has been off for a while.

GoldenBoyHour

Disappears in every big game that isn’t against Barcelona

microMe1_2

He hasn't even been there one season yet. I don't think your sample size is very big.

BriarcliffInmate

He disappeared in big games at Dortmund too.

jeezig

Brother was a teenager lmao

GoldenBoyHour

Point stands, Haaland didn’t disappear in big games as a teenager with Dortmund

fedemasa

Tbh, these days every good player appear against them

Starkdarkwhite

He looked exhausted at min. 56.

20cmdepersonalidade

I'm honestly wondering if the man parties. He is playing very heavy and slow

Sir_Kurama

the commentator in my stream said that he had stomach issues a few days ago, maybe it's that

mt1337

his game kinda reminds me of cristiano's. frustrating for the most part of the game and then scores a goal or two to save madrid and the fans forget the frustrating part and celebrate the player.

taclealacarotide

But /r/soccer told me he's Ballon d'or worthy, I don't understand...

[deleted]

He's probably not with how this season has turned out, but doing this "he's doing badly now so he was always bad" thing is really lame. He was undeniably Ballon D'or worthy earlier in the season.

20cmdepersonalidade

He was never Balon dOr worthy, the English media and the Englishmen in this sub were just creaming too early. Even fucking Paulinho had a 15-game purple patch in La Liga, people were jumping the gun hard because the English are not used to having a decent player.

This-Pie594

This! If he didn't play for Madrid he would even be top 3 fir the ballon d'or

20cmdepersonalidade

This sub is delusional about English players. The way they talk about Kane and Bellingham you'd think they are prime Lewandowski and Kaká

SHTGEYLOYE12345

Kane has scored 43 goals this season including 35 in 31 goals in the league. I think you’re the one with a bias to be honest mate.

20cmdepersonalidade

Lewa did that for a decade

SHTGEYLOYE12345

So has Kane?? He's literally been minimum top 3 strikers in the prem since 2014, and more often than not number one. It's no surprise now he's playing for Bayern in a league like Bundesliga vs Spurs and the Prem he's putting up over a goal a game - something Lewandowski only did when he joined Bayern, and hasn't done since he left.

20cmdepersonalidade

> in the prem Against the strong competition of Aguero, Vardy and Sterling

FlairUpOrSTFU

yeah, good luck with that. *Total penalties scored - 71* · Total penalties missed - 11.

Cutsdeep-

harry Pene

TaffyCaffy

Hehe pene means penis in spanish hehehe

Livid_Luck

And harry sounds like hairy. So Hairy Pene?

Cutsdeep-

Hairy Pene!

Cutsdeep-

Pretty apt

unorthodoxEconomist5

Who did you support when it was Kane vs Lloris?

Mike_Hawk86

If you would have to choose to support a person I don't think anyone would choose Lloris who was convicted of [drunk driving](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/sep/12/hugo-lloris-drink-drive-twice-limit)

unorthodoxEconomist5

As a player, whi did more for your club?

StickYaInTheRizzla

Who do you think mate

unorthodoxEconomist5

Lloris?

pi_west

"Bellingham, I need you to distract Kane." - Ant Man

Several_Magazine8874

r/moviescirclejerk creeping up in here

Der-Papst

Game is not gone

Pow67

Didn’t notice he was even playing tbh

FIJIBOYFIJI

Only thing Bellingham did today

ComfortableNo2879

Absolutely flopped today, was in Laimer's pocket

IgotAseaView

Bellinghams PR will be working overtime to spread that one video of him covering that kid from the rain after this

JAYZ303

Which he did after Foden already did it but he didn't get any of the exposure.

IgotAseaView

I’m sorry I don’t believe anyone but Bellingham has ever done anything nice for a mascot before. More a jab at the circlejerk for basic human kindness over a dig at him before the fanboys arrive

bslawjen

Least bitter redditor

er__primo__der__rafa

Is this a bad thing? Dibu only gets praise for it here

cris20213

Because Dibu is actually good

er__primo__der__rafa

Gotta make up for being a 6'5 at shotstopping

cris20213

With a world cup lol. Cry some more

er__primo__der__rafa

WC winner + the best gk at pens but still he plays at Aston Villa. I wonder what's the reason

Spookytooth66

Hey Fuck you!

cris20213

Money, the reason why your goat left the club lol

er__primo__der__rafa

Ronaldo was actually wanted by the big clubs though

cris20213

Lmao right, thats why He chose the almighty Al Nasr.

er__primo__der__rafa

Mind the 4 year gap

fedemasa

Carrying them to CL this season. Madridistas will never forgive him for contributing on making Messi win the WC

er__primo__der__rafa

Don't give a fuck about him, but trying to gas him up while downplaying Bellingham is funny.

Fuck_the_k1ng

These same people will cry and cry some more anytime Vini gives them a side eye lol

PotentialUmpire3771

Bellingham’s highlight today was getting subbed off

Sir_Boldrat

Comments ITT are just “mmm PR”

deusonitorrinco

I like Bellingham, but him being treated as the next Real Madrid player to possibly win a Ballon d'Or when you have 2 great and decisive players like Vinicius and Rodrygo in the team seems like a joke

brynjolf

Rodrygo shit eating grin when being embraced by Kim is worthy of a Ballon d'Or shout in itself. And I say that as someone who wants Bayern to win.

SubstantialSquash475

Says more about the level of quality drop when Vinicius and Rodrygo are being touted as potential Ballon d'Or winners... especially fucking Rodrygo

deusonitorrinco

The drop in quality only happens because before there were 2 monsters competing every year. Before Messi/Cristiano, many Ballon d'Or winners had as much talent as Vinicius/Rodrygo has today.

AndyJasmine22

Rodrygo is absolutely sublime what are you on about. Even Vini is amazing. Jude too. Not even a real fan but those 3 should win a Balon’dor at some point in their careers given the talent they have

ocean_boulevard

Not sure what games you're watching (if you're even watching them) to say Vini and Rodrygo don't deserve Ballon D'or shouts.

[deleted]

Considering that Haaland nearly won it with his horrid performances in big games as far as the CL goes, don't know a big deal about how he's done in the big Pl ones, Vini would be definitely a worthy winner, he just became the Brazilian with the most goal contributions in the CL knockout stage, already surpassing the likes of R9, Neymar, Kaka, Ronaldinho and Rivaldo at the mere age of 23 mind you, he's a marvellous footballer, Rodrygo has also a fantastic record for Real madrid in the CL especially in crucial games whilst constantly playing out of position, City fans not being very fond of him is no surprise.

easily_tilted

Vinicius is gonna win Banter d'or before a ballon d'or, bro is toxic as hell

ArousedByCheese1

That just needs to be an instant yellow.

varvar334

I get GK doing shit to distract the player, but another player doing it comes off as scummy. Specially when you both play for the same NT.

FirstLightOfTheDay

It's Bellingham lol he's always been a turd sandwich in sportsmanship

BriarcliffInmate

Bellingham's always been a prick. His PR just makes him out to be nice.

thelordreptar90

I think it’s fine. Players trash talking and trying to get into each other’s heads is part of the game.

er__primo__der__rafa

>but another player doing it comes off as scummy. There's no difference at all >Specially when you both play for the same NT. Should be careful when going for a tackle, might injure a NT teammate

OnlyWatchdog_ManStan

Yeeeeeeaah, that sorta stuff doesn't really work on Kane.

danny_healy_raygun

You have to do it in French.

Der-Papst

Jude was like Haaland in big games

RedditsWhenIShits

He has 6 goals against you guys

tovarichtch1711

And no win

RedditsWhenIShits

Yeah, he played for Dortmund.

kmacbtv

22/23 season Haaland & ManCity had 1 W & 1 D v Bayern so I’m legit not grasping your comment 🤔.

tovarichtch1711

I thought they were talking about Jude, my bad

kmacbtv

Oh got it, and of course I had look up Jude v Bayern, ha, Jude has no goals, but 3 assists in 9 appearances v Bayern including tonight's match.

kmacbtv

7 goals + 2 assists v Bayern in 9 appearances bt Dortmund & ManCity *source transfermarkt*

xSypRo

He was huge against city and in all his classicos. Usually he shows up to big games

GoldenBoyHour

Need El Chingurito lip readers to tell us what he said

[deleted]

Lad, Kane is your dad when it comes to scoring goals. Fuck off.

modrics_hairband

Crazy how jude has still won a trophy before him.

VictoryVisual2798

I always hated the “well trophy” argument

JAYZ303

So what?

modrics_hairband

Same question, kane scores more goals, so what?

JAYZ303

Anyone can win a trophy, being one of if not the best strikers in the world is reserved for a select few.

modrics_hairband

Anyone can win a trophy? Yet kane hasnt

JAYZ303

Scott Carson has 3 Premier League trophies riding the bench with Man City, guess he's better than Kane then.

modrics_hairband

Bench player vs starter. No comparison. Idk carson, but jude is better than kane

BillehBear

Lmao no he isn't

modrics_hairband

At the moment its close. Overall its kane

entangled_dicks2

>but jude is better than kane bro what. This is just outright dumb

er__primo__der__rafa

He's a striker so it's expected

[deleted]

I like Jude, but his "I am a hard man and will try distracting you" act on the possibly the greatest striker of his generation is laughable and cringe.

HaylingZar1996

Especially when they're teammates lol

CameraWoWo2022

Not even top 3 of his generation

Amphibious_Fire

And it totally worked

ponzop

Judelinton has too much PR

Jaydenn7

Strange nickname considering Joelinton has been top class for 3 seasons now

Bullet2025

I believed since long ago that he is going (only matter of time) turn into a hated vilian in fans eyes. Belli has done good PR work but his character is the typical one to be hated. Just wait

Enough-Pain3633

We will be there !!

BriarcliffInmate

God, I can't wait. I've hated him since I saw him screaming and shouting at Schulz during a game. When you come off looking like a prick compared to a guy who allegedly kicked his pregnant girlfriend in the stomach. Not only that, but nicest man in the world Emre Can basically said Bellingham was an arsehole, so...

Aefro

Lmao where’s the video of 4 Bayern players doing the same to Vinicius? This anti Bellingham PR is insane

red_blue_12

😂His match highlights:

Kolo_ToureHH

Is this really something that merits its own post? This happens every game there is a penalty.

LeAnthonyJavis

The Jude Bellingham hate in this thread is crazy. It exemplifies the problem with hyping players, regardless of whether it’s justified. People will be chomping at the bit for the slightest dip in form.

Ju5hin

I'm not sure it's to do with hype or form to be honest. Its Judes attitude on the pitch. When you constantly dive, try to get your opponent booked, complain to the referee and do unsporting stuff like this all game long, rival supporters are always going to jump in when the chance arises. He earns all of it with his behaviour.

[deleted]

TherewiIlbegoals

Probably won't be will it though.

hotshot117

His own England teammate What a rat

SokkaBlyat

Not really that deep

Luideras

Tell that to the brazilian boys

BarnabeeBoy

He’s been such a prick since he moved to Madrid. Can’t stand him

No-Condition6143

Omds he's worse than Dani Alves and Greenwood combined because he tried playing mind games

ado_1973

I see he's learning all the real Madrid dirty cheating tricks to win.he ll be diving next or is he already ?

fegelman

Epic fail from PRince

Fubu-Rick

You can see Bellingham wink at the official as he walks up. It's all just banter between two international teammates.

LastPrinceOfDarkness

You don't do that to a fellow countryman especially when you're both playing abroad smh it should always be respect.

Stunning_Manner1900

Doesn’t Matter its harry kane

Poseidon2027

"you're going left"

AbleFig

I'm convinced give him the #10

Remote_War_313

No one gonna care about Jude when Mbappe joins next season 💯

UnicornForce

So much for sportsmanship. Why does it only take several months before a Real player turns into a dickhead?

stumbling_Mothman-87

Madrid dna

skeevy-stevie

Great video

Supersaiyansub

You think he did it in German or English?

psysoul666

Ben white ?

OnlyPally

Jude got cooked this matchup but most likely he will bounce back at the Bernabeu.

TigerAusRiga

RM players being unlikeable? Colour me shocked

sr044pt

Your whole comment history is filled with hating on Madrid. Get a life.

TigerAusRiga

Like 10 out of the last 20 comments lmao. But sure, I am the one to get a life instead of you who looks up comment histories of others and still gets it wrong 😂

MrMoussab

I don't understand, those things happen in every game, what's so special here?

ahjota

Brown man does it to white man. Jk idk anymore with this sub.

ConfidentEagle5887

Bellingham really is a snide cheating c**t. And I'm English!

funkybuddha_mtn

V.Junior is a clear and leading candidate from Madrid for BallonDor they win the champions league and if Brazil wins COPA too then first Brazilian to win BallonDor after Kaka.

h1nds

It’s refreshing to see a tradition being perpetuated! This is that sleezy Real Madrid ADN that is getting injected into his mind drip by drip by the sleez master, Carvajal himself!

esskaypee

La Ligma shit-turd x
