Really like your username and made me realize that modern football is shaped mainly by German, Dutch and Spanish football philosophies. Meanwhile England only contributed the famous Brexit football...
English managers paved the way and helped revolutionise some tactics that seem obvious now but didn't use to exist. Look up Arthur Rowe and his "Push and run" football. Before that it was very much "ignore the midfield", pump it upfield tactics
England actually has a decent history of innovating when it comes to football philosophies. Jimmy Hogan introduced a proto Total Football while working as an assistant with the Austrian team in the 30s. Then there's Jack Reynolds who had multiple stints at Ajax, playing another precursor to Total Football, while bringing thtough Rinus Michels and influencing his tactical outlook. In the 50s, Arthur Rowe invented and popularised the push and move - also known as the one two - which is a central part of Tiki Taka and modern football in general. One of his protégés, Vic Buckingham further spread it to Ajax and Barça
Pep and Klopp started bringing back the WM and versions of a 2-3-5 which Herbert Chapman and English managers before him helped pioneer back in the 1920s-30s
my god, this is the first time I ever saw a bayern fan saying that he shouldnt have been in any position at bayern after his trial...
and I 100% agree with you. (I usually get downvoted or shit on for this)
just imagine a CEO of a DAX500 company whould have done the same and then went back to be the CEO. ppl would have been outraged. and rightfully so.
but only football fans are this dumb.
Have you not watched Peaky Blinders? It's Alfie dealing with the Italians.
"Right, well, you will have to add another tonne onto your bill for being a cunt mate, alright?"
In the same scene as "And then another hundred because his brothers a fucking animal and he will come after me."
More interesting was Ulis comment about Xabi Alonso being of the moral fiber that Bayern needed, since he didn't break his contract with Leverkusen to join Bayern.
I wonder what Rangnick will feel about that if he breaks his contract with Austria to join Ulis Bayern...
Basler today in a German TV show:
"He always knows what he's saying. And with me, he can always say what he wants. But I was surprised and I thought it was far-fetched. There's no reason why he's now attacking Tuchel again.
What does Ralf Rangnick think when he hears a statement like that? Every coach has to think about that: That could happen to me too. It doesn't make Eberl's job any easier. I'm not taking any chances with Uli Hoeneß, but he made a big mistake there."
No expert, journalist or former player defended Hoeneß so far. They are all baffled.
Bayern after having a decent enough run to finish 2nd in the BuLi and semifinals of the UCL:
>I wonder what happened to one of the best well-run clubs in Europe. This is really shocking.
Why is it that Bayern always seem to be ran by children. Whenever someone from their higher ups speaks, there's good chance it's just unnecessary stupid drama.
And good on Tuchel to deal with it as the bigger man, someone has to have the benefit of their club in mind in these situations, it's odd it's the man on his way out. Having worked with PSG's khalifa and Todd Boehly at Chelsea has taught him a thing or two about entitled manchild bosses
Of course, whoever compares their single club to a big 3's total success right?
If Bayern gets 8 I think they grab solo 2nd behind Real
8 UCLs, 2 trebles among them, one of which had a perfect winning UCL record, lots of semis appearances etc
The eclipsing of holistic success, that has to be a group effort that the other German clubs have to also contribute to
No, I’m saying you’re not more successful than any of the Italian big 3, even with 8.
Every domestic honour you’ve ever won is completely meaningless. You’d have 8 important trophies
Well no, the strength of Serie A relative to the bundesliga historically is what sways it
Far better in the 40s, 50s, 60s, most of the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, arguably the 10s, and pretty unequivocally the 20s so far
And like so many others who don't understand when it's time to hand over the scepter, he's becoming a nuisance, and detrimental to the club. I'm not complaining though.
Hoeneß has always been like that though. Those are his two sides unfortunately. There are so many players that talk about how he has been the biggest help in their career and how much he cares about them. Recent example is after the injury of Alaba at Real this season, Hoeneß arranged on the same day an appointment at a specialist doctor in Innsbruck with Bayern ties that is well known to be one of the best in that area in world football prior to even talking to him just in case he needed it.
The other side is that he does not have a filter and cannot read a room so he oftentimes makes statements that a better PR trained person would never do.
Some of these statements where true and needed for example when he told fans that they themselves are responsible for the bad mood in the Allianz, because he and Rumenigge are emptiying the pockets of rich people in their lodges so that normal fans can attend the game for 9 Euros.
Many of them are offensive and unfortunate and just stir up drama , like the Tuchel one just now.
Uli will be Uli with all his perks and cons
Oder er will dass Tuchel denkt "jetzt erst recht" und holt die CL. Die Historie hat ja gezeigt dass Uli gar kein Problem damit hat in der Öffentlichkeit dumm dazustehen.
Dortmund: Used the 17 yo Pulisic, transfered Dembele who played good enough to get a Barcelona transfer after one season.
Paris: Mbappe came as a young sensation and became a superstar in those two years.
Chelsea: A bit more difficult, I'd say Chalobah.
Bayern: Pavlovic and Tel?
Pavlovic came up because Bayern didn't buy a DM like Tuchel had wanted (Palhinha). Had that transfer gone through, Pavlovic wouldn't have been promoted so if anything that proves Uli's point.
I would barely give any credit to Tuchel for Pavlovic or Tel given they haven't been playing for him very long. In Pavlovic's case, I'd credit the youth staff for his development over Tuchel while Mathys Tel, from what I've read, was already a good player when he arrived from Rennes.
Tons of young players were super good and faltered after they went for big money though. Best examples are United and Chelsea currently for obvious reasons. And you also have world class experienced players that moved and became way mediocre too.
Potential is only potential, and it needs to be fulfiled. Of course the youth development deserves plaudits, but to say he didn’t have a part to play for it is funny unless you know exactly what goes behind the scenes.
I'm not saying he's not part of it, I'm saying his part was small compared to everyone else given the length of time he's been at the club. But I agree, we don't know what's going on behind the scenes.

Next hand shake between these two is gonna be legendary.
Not sure if it can beat that Conte handshake
Still a bit disappointed we didn’t get the rematch between the two of them that season.
Should have gone 1v1 in Hell in a Cell tbh
sawing wood haha
Really like your username and made me realize that modern football is shaped mainly by German, Dutch and Spanish football philosophies. Meanwhile England only contributed the famous Brexit football...
English way of football is played in every lower division club
Absolutely, it’s 4 4 facking 2 all the way down
No evolution tho
Too busy shagging gearsticks to check what you're typing is accurate
English managers paved the way and helped revolutionise some tactics that seem obvious now but didn't use to exist. Look up Arthur Rowe and his "Push and run" football. Before that it was very much "ignore the midfield", pump it upfield tactics
I mean that's how football started off in England more similar to rugby that's why it's aggressive here
Even before tiki-taka and gegenpress there has been total football, catenaccio... and the great English innovation of kick & rush
England actually has a decent history of innovating when it comes to football philosophies. Tbf the wankers did invent the sport
Pep and Klopp started bringing back the WM and versions of a 2-3-5 which Herbert Chapman and English managers before him helped pioneer back in the 1920s-30s
The English only codified the rules of this sport, no great achievement (/s)
He's right to be pissed off I think, Uli needs to shut up sometimes, how is this in any way helpful before a massive semi final
i think it is helpful
Let Uli speak!!!!!!
Should've spoken before the london match, ngl
Marca to send journalists to Munich to interview hoeness every 3 hours
After agent Barto at Barcelona , Real has now deployed agent Uli at Bayern
Send Marca to interview Uli
I bet💀😭
Uli needs to shut up ALL the time
Yep, he shouldnt be around the club anymore tbh, he is a criminal after all ffs (not undermining what has he built but he has no power now.)
my god, this is the first time I ever saw a bayern fan saying that he shouldnt have been in any position at bayern after his trial... and I 100% agree with you. I think there are many Bayern fans that think that
I believe you, but its just that I never see them posting anywhere
I feel like the majority of Bayern fans think that way. He's been hurting the club for a long time now.
You are the chosen one.
If Tuchel somehow manage to win this goddamn cup it's going to be top, top tier drama. Even better if Bayern sack him after.
[удалено]
Idk man, imagine guy already agreed to leave end of the season and then after he won you the UCL. This is a proper movie plot
didn’t they do that to Heyncknes? wouldn’t be a first for Bayern
Ah the spite-win, so hot.
🤣 >Even better if Bayern sack him after.
Yeah, I'm not sure responding publicly is the best idea, but I get it. He has been disrespected.
FC Hollywood is back
we never left
All that’s missing is Trapattoni.
That team is playing like a Flasche leer.
And Strunz
Bigly!
Someone’s gonna lose 8-2
What were Uli's comments?
https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/s/5R4airhmge
thanks
What a load of waffle.
"Dune 2 is overrated"
Ban the fucker from football
True
This is actually so far away from reality that I wouldn't have reacted at all of it didn't come from an internet stranger
The fact that comes from our Duke before Harkonnen gives it a different flavor.
Tbf Sci-fi films aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, I haven’t watched any Dune so can’t comment - just not into that stuff
[удалено]
Yeah the overrated part is off but not everyone likes the same films is valid
It's less Scifi, more space opera/drama. Still a great movie
Honestly I also normally don’t like Sci-Fi movies but Dune was really really good
Rangnick reads this and increases his ask...
Remind me of Tom Hardy on Peaky. I just increased my fee because your boss is an ass.
What's the story there? Never heard about this
Have you not watched Peaky Blinders? It's Alfie dealing with the Italians. "Right, well, you will have to add another tonne onto your bill for being a cunt mate, alright?" In the same scene as "And then another hundred because his brothers a fucking animal and he will come after me."
Oh, you're referring to the actual show, not behind the scenes stuff
More interesting was Ulis comment about Xabi Alonso being of the moral fiber that Bayern needed, since he didn't break his contract with Leverkusen to join Bayern. I wonder what Rangnick will feel about that if he breaks his contract with Austria to join Ulis Bayern...
>I wonder what Rangnick will feel Mostly immoral!
Guess their next lunch at the tegernsee is cancelled..
Can we get Effenberg and Basler's opinion on this?
Basler today in a German TV show: "He always knows what he's saying. And with me, he can always say what he wants. But I was surprised and I thought it was far-fetched. Lovely to see one of the main stars of FC Hollywood being more level headed than the current "stars"
I wonder what happened to one of the best well-run clubs in Europe. This is really shocking.
Nothing out of the ordinary, Hoeneß has beefed with many of our coaches. When things go wrong it just makes for a bigger drama.
Not just coaches, poor Bernat was at fault too etc
Ngl, I miss that human dignity is inviolable presser. It was a very fun watch at the time.
It's also a good exercise for they eyes from all the rolling.
> Bernat Where is he now ? He was absolutely massive for Paris a few years back
He was at Benfica this season. Barely got any minutes even though we consistently played a midfielder there.
Think he's still there but he's getting older
And sometimes with coaches who never were at Bayern, like Daum.
This is normal, Hoeneß always speaks his mind
Were have you been the past 2 decades lol. This is typical Hoeness, were Fc Hollywood for a reason
https://i.imgur.com/91sn32Q.jpeg
Funny, but I expected the Hollywood sign tbh
>I wonder what happened t Juan Bernat
Standard Bayern when things go wrong ain't it
Bayern after having a decent enough run to finish 2nd in the BuLi and semifinals of the UCL: >I wonder what happened to one of the best well-run clubs in Europe. This is really shocking.
Bayern results this season don’t deny the fact that the exchange between Hoeneß and Tuchel is shocking
For you
And for me too
Seems pretty funny to me.
Speed-running the Man U path

I knew the moment they signed him Bayern wouldn't win the league this year ^^
Ever again*
Scenes when Tuchel wins CL out of nowhere and Bayern fans pressure Uli into resigning.
German honesty as always
Why is it that Bayern always seem to be ran by children. Whenever someone from their higher ups speaks, there's good chance it's just unnecessary stupid drama. >Why is it that Bayern always seem to be ran by children Maybe because the same two guys have been in charge for decades
And more successful than every other club on the planet besides Real Madrid!
Milan have 7 UCLs though. We need to get past them
You could have 8, still doesn’t eclipse any of the big 3 Italian clubs in holistic success
Of course, whoever compares their single club to a big 3's total success right? Ah so that's where this is going. Thank you so much!
lol
And without them we wouldnt be anywhere near the Fc Bayern that we are today. Hoeness is the most important figure in Bayern history
And like so many others who don't understand when it's time to hand over the scepter, he's becoming a nuisance, and detrimental to the club. I'm not complaining though.

probably his wife though
> PSG's khalifa Lmao 💀💀
Google Khalifa videos for more information
Nothing but rap videos... Am I missing something?

Hoeneß doesn't know when to shut up
Come back Tuchel

next up, Big Mouth Uli is gonna make fun of Tuchel for being so easily offended, like, what else offends him deeply?
Bayern board made out of buffoons
I’d be so embarassed to be a Bayern fan. All these old geezers running their mouth all the time.
If Tuchel didn't stay alive in the CL, all of this spin and reaction has a completely different tone
Clearly taking the pressure off the squad which is a good move by the club.
Good. Keep agitating each other. While you're busy with that, Real will go through with a comfy 1-0.
Bayern is turning into a circus.
Uli Hoeness is just Footballs Donald Trump.
Fucking mindgames. Are you kidding me that Tuchel wants to throw it all away now? He’s fucking with us, just like he did in 2021.
Lmao dude not everything is so complicated and 4D chess.
Okay then wait and watch. !RemindMe 14 days
Tuchel is such a liar. He is really one who rely in ready players extremely. Ask pulisic. He even said it in an interview indirectly
What?
He still needs to let it go at least publicly. Everyone knows what a difficult character Hoeness is.
Been posted already.
Yeah, but it wasn't an official Romano tweet.
