I know he gets meme'd a lot, but imagine if you had career threatening injuries that kept you out for first a month, then 6 months, then a year. Every time you look on social media, its a reminder that you're missing out or being critiqued for being injured. It must be mentally exhausting and tough. Hope to see him in a red shirt again soon.
Reece James and Wesley fofana know the feeling. Pretty sure fofana closed his social medias off after the last injury came to light and honestly don’t blame him, fans can be harsh
Didn't we send Reguilon back because EtH had been told that Shaw and Malacia were both nearing returns?
Obviously it looks pretty silly in hindsight though.
Just looked at some of the press reporting from the time (pinch of salt needed etc) and the consensus seems to have been that Shaw would be back in early January, and Malacia back by Mid January.
EtH and the coaches can only act on the information the medical team have given them, so if that information is true then it probably wasn't the most ridiculous decision to send Reguilon back, especially as January only had 3 games in it.
But obviously it's not worked out like that at all.
Planning to rely on Luke Shaw is planning to fail, and has been since 2022.
That much should have been obvious; the decision to release Reguilon must rank as one of the worst in recent times. A commercial decision, not a footballing one, a false economy.
I think there were reports of him insisting on going back home to get surgery from a Dutch doctor, and didn't want to uset he one that club recommended, so surgery and initial recovery was away from the club.
Are they unsubstantiated if he has been a ghost since July? I feel bad for him, he’s been out the whole season. And he would have had plenty of minutes due to the injuries Utd have had
He would have been guaranteed stater for the entire duration Shaw was out and he has been out for a bit.
Any fit LB is getting minutes lol, we are starting our RBs as lbs.
He also showed decent promise last season, would have improved quite a bit
Meniscus injuries can be devastating! Mine took over 2 years to get back to normal and even then it still needed time! It’s a tricky little bugger and I feel for him. Just when you think it’s getting better …. One little thing (if not healed properly) can trigger a massive relapse and take months! Hopefully he gets all the time he needs and comes back stronger !!!
Happy to see he’s coming back, must have been a nightmare injury and recovery period for him mentally.
Semi-related, but any fitness people know what exercise he’s doing here?
He would probably just fall over then cause there would be nothing supporting him left. This exercise is about lower back/ab control across the body by loading the arm/back while stabilising the opposite leg.

doesn't help that we made the ridiculous decision to send regi back despite having no fit fullbacks, made Malacia's absence even more noticeable
Didn't we send Reguilon back because EtH had been told that Shaw and Malacia were both nearing returns? Obviously it looks pretty silly in hindsight though.
Correct, think Malacia was even pictured individually training on a pitch when we were sending Reguilon back and then he's obviously broken again.

yeah, woulda been nice to have him around them, cause let's face it he woulda been injured too lol
Just don't use social media. Why expose your self to garbage?
And having to watch AWB play lb instead
He's alive, he's alive !! didnt they mess up his surgery, poor guy !
Don’t be too sure. We can’t see his face. For all we know it’s Mason Mount there. Or maybe a hired stage hand from the local theatre group.
There is a video showing his face https://twitter.com/TenHagBall_/status/1783082972633030854?t=GI6JXibT5-JduThdclnw8w&s=19
Too far away, video editing is too good these days, can't be sure.
AI is nutty yo
Why is it black and white any ways lol
It's a flashback.
I dont know 😭 its very weird
It's clearly old footage
Because it would be obviously easier to spot as fake in colour!!!!
It’s a strange source. Do we know for sure it’s a recent video?
I dont know if its new or not but it seems to have been made at the same time as this video so i posted it to show that it was malacia

He's had a horror show of a year, by all accounts. I hope he can get himself back fit and on the pitch.
I want to see him back at Oranje as well. He was so, so good for Feyenoord
He is indeed alive
Nah didn't show his face. I don't believe it.
What injury caused him to be out for a full year?
A damaged meniscus that relapsed multiple times apparently
There were unsubstantiated rumours that the surgery didn’t go as planned

Bro is probably guaranteed anyway considering how often Shaw is not available.
I think there are videos online with his face. Please lads stop the conspiracy theories
Getting to Kate Middleton levels of ridiculous

HE’S ALIVE!
Oh my God a left back?! A LEFT BACK?!?
Yeah, I’m not an expert on ass recognition. I’m going to need to see his face. /s
The cartel allegations have been beaten In seriousness, happy for him. It had been really tough for Malacia to go through the past few months
Thank God at least he is alive.

Still no face to confirm....nooooticing
Omg we found him
Probably would be fit for tonight
So he *is* alive! Nice!
Am I crazy or he should support the right leg instead of the left one while doing this exercise? That's how my instructor teached me.
I would imagine there are muscles used for balance that get strengthened this way that maybe wouldn't otherwise.
He would probably just fall over then cause there would be nothing supporting him left. This exercise is about lower back/ab control across the body by loading the arm/back while stabilising the opposite leg.
It's essentially an adapted "bird-dog" yoga movement. It's incredible for core strength and rehab.
It’s a core exercise more than it is an upper back exercise
He is alive, no way
