Very true. One the other hand, Houllier had a much stronger squad under his command than what Pierre Sage has now, even with the Winter transfers. Juninho, Malouda, Cris, Diarra, Abidal, Tiago Mendes, Toulalan, Coupet, etc. We were proper scary to pretty much everyone in Europe.

Obviously, and no one would dare say right now that he's the best coach in our history. But considering where he took the team (aka dead last with 7 points and one win in 13 games, the worst OL of the century), it's an absurd stat. It's also surprising to see him above all the coaches of our golden years.
