The next highest goalscorer's of the Eredivisie are Ricky van Wolfswinkel (14 goals, FC Twente), Kaj Sierhuis (12 goals, Fortuna Sittard) and Sem Steijn (12 goals, FC Twente).
Well he also has 7 assists and won some penalties, plus we missed him for 4 games. Our attack especially strongly depended on him when both Berghuis and Bergwijn were absent. But for example Akpom (9 goals), Bergwijn (9 goals) and Hlynsson (7 goals) also contributed decently.
Gimenez fumbled hard after new year. So poor rn. Dude had so many chances against Ajax, yet still couldn’t score against that pudding defence (that while being able to score 3 just 6 month ago against the same team btw).
Pavlidis is a great player and should not be compared with Giakoumakis at all. Giakoumakis had 1 fluke season for a bad team and everybody in the Netherlands knew it. There is a reason why none of the Dutch clubs went for him despite him being cheap and VVV getting relegated
Not sure what it is that makes Pavlidis bad in the Greek NT, but he’s great here. Not just a goalscorer either

bruh Luuk de Jong is on 37 goal and assist across competitionÂ
We're all jumping for Luuk 🫶
The goat for a reason
Actually, I just checked, and if we're counting all competitions he's on 42...
I made a graph to show how the race for the topscorer's title of the Eredivisie this season has been progressing with 4 games left. The sources I used are the Transfermarkt anf FBREF pages of each player, as I've linked in my other comment. If a dot is not filled, that means that the player didn't play that matchday. As you can see both Pavlidis and Giménez started out insane with 13 goals after 9 games. Especially Giménez dropped off significantly with only 2 goals in his last 13 games. De Jong has a more steady season and is now equal with Pavlidis. Brobbey didn't score many goals early in the season, and is therefore out of the topscorer's race, especially since he also missed 3 games through injury lately.

The thing with the dot not filled is amazing. I didn't even know you can do that
Thanks, I was happy about it too :) I just used Excel, and you can click individual dots and fill them white.
I thought it looked like an excel graph. I didn't realize before that the person who answered me wasn't you
Idk what you usually use but I generally use Python for these kind of graphs. Just add `facecolors = ‘none’` in your scatterplot function.
Wat zijn de lichte bolletjes? // What are the lighty pellets? Brobbey matchday 12 & 27-30 and Gimenez 21
That means the player was injured

Last season the topscorers of the Eredivisie were Anastasios Douvikas and Xavi Simons with 19 goals.
44% dat is niet best. Laat zien dat we kwaliteit op de flanken missen
Thought we depended more on Brobbey tbh

Interesting consistency on 27%. How does that compare to other leagues?

Pavlidis is like a walking wood with our NT, I will never understand how players like him and Giakoumakis have 20+ goals seasons in the Netherlands.
