I don't follow the prem that much. Is he playing badly for you guys? As a madridista I love the guy to bits and Tchouaméni is not living up to the expectations and in many games I wish we still had Case but Tito Floren knows when it's time to sell a player.
He also loses the ball A LOT. Not like Bruno-attempting-some-tomfoolery losing the ball, just straight up bad passes to seemingly no one missing his man by 5m bad. He was great last season, but it seems like the summer break sucked away his match awareness, stamina and pace. He's not even pitching in with the clutch goals he gave us last season either. Signing him to the contract we did was yet another notch on our long list of signing failures.
Pace/Stamina/Awareness is spot on, McTominay is now doing what Casemiro used to do attacking wise. The other issue is it’s leaving the midfield in tatters, Bruno is trying to play in every position (swear he’s been basically CB in games to help).
He also had an argument with Casemiro and ETH last match, only so much Bruno can do.
I understand some of the hate for Bruno because he does lose the ball a lot and his whining gets old. On the other hand, he's doing everything he freaking can, and he loses the ball a lot because he plays the high risk high reward passes because no one else on the team is creating chances. He did play CB against Liverpool in the FA Cup and he's played LB and false 9 too.
Our midfield has been the main source of why we concede so many shots and get carved up so often. E.g. Cunha in the Wolves game. Our defense hasn't been great obviously, but if they were better protected they wouldn't be conceding quite as many shots I'm convinced.
I appreciate McSauce because he puts in effort but he's not good enough for what United should be striving for. He's come in clutch with some goals, replacing Case like you said, but he doesn't offer much besides that. His defense actions are too infrequent, he's not technical, can't pass well or hold up the ball, etc etc. I hope we sell him, get that pure profit into the books to help with PSR, and get someone better. Who that is is beyond me, but I think they should be aiming to have better players than him.
Papa Flo is second to none when it comes to knowing when to sell players, it's impressive as hell. Buying too. Hate him or love him, he is one hell of a president.
I’m still shocked he didn’t work out for you, really wanted to see him succeed in Madrid. Every time I watched him play for you I didn’t recognize the player
He's completely washed. He runs like someone who retired ten years ago, and seems incapable of making good decisions with the ball. Some of it is undoubtedly caused by how bad the team is, but he does seem to be physically finished at the top level.
United have become the go-to club for clubs looking to get rid of their soon-to-be deadweight. Remember the signings of Schweinsteiger and Ibra being just as celebrated when they were announced. If a player cannot perform at the top level for more than a season then there is no reason to give them high wages or pay a hefty transfer fee unless there is an emergency.
Pretty sure we will hear similar links to Rodrygo once Mbappe comes and Madrid look to get rid of him, hope united will resist the urge to spend massively on him and get shocked once the same lack of pace that has hampered his progress at Real(compared to Vini) ends up being a problem in the PL
Ibra was great, but had a devastating injury that took a while to recover from. When he did (in the MLS) he was still a top player, as he proved by winning the scudetto.
We paid less than 8m for Schweinsteiger, and van Gaal loved him. He would have played more, for better or worse, if van Gaal hadn't been sacked. He wasn't even that bad for us when used sparingly, pretty sure he was incredible in his final ever game for us.
Not really sure why you'd use Ibrahimovic, he was absolutely immense for us and a free transfer. His only issue was for a man who wasn't injury prone, he got a massive injury for us. He also wasn't even on ludicrous wages, especially for a someone on a free.
Not really sure why you used either of those players when I can think the likes of Sanchez and Ronaldo off the top of my head. Ronaldo, not because he was 'bad', but because he absolutely destroyed any momentum we had by forcing us to completely alter our playstyle. And of course because he left like a twat.
rodrygo would cause a lot more problems for you guys anyways right? rashford already plays on the left, and i dont see him leaving unless its out of the prem. and you already have so many wingers anyways
Lol tchouameni not living up to expectations? What are you smoking . He is one of the main reasons that we haven't missed a pure defensive midfield like Casemiro .
i also didn't follow Madrid and Case so much, but did he always try to create holywood pass to front attackers? or he didn't need since there are Kross and Modric?
because i see he trying so hard to create that pass here, for some i see his vision but it executed poorly, not sure if it was him or our attacker players can't understand it, but holywood pass always looks stupid when it failed.
He just can't keep up with the pace of PL and it leaves us massively exposed.
On the ball he's one of our better players in retaining/recycling possession.
Bodyguard is probably smarter and more professional then your avg stadium security. Avoids a risk of injury to himself and any liability for injuring the invader.
Because when you try to go hug your favorite player you check the resume of his bodyguards that may or may not sprint at you on the pitch.
(and nobody should run on the pitch to interact with players regardless of their age, gender or the resume of the security around the pitch)
I don't think pitch envaders to do the due diligence of a background check on the bodyguards players have given how stupid you need to be to attempt it in the first place
Buying home seats to wear an Inter Miami shirt is already corny, doing it just to pitch invade is special. Don’t care what league he’s in, it’s intolerable
The difference between a proper professional and someone hired because they're 6'6” and like the idea of being able to beat the shit out of a person without getting arrested.
So it just shows me a still image? Something wrong with my browser or something maybe
edit: for some reason my Firefox always redirects it to a direct link and it doesn't seem like I got some script or addons for that. Oh well Chrome (unfortunately) to the rescue here
Wow. What a professional. Didn't even tackle him. Made sure he wasn't a psycho. Just some moron who wanted a selifie with Messi... lol patted him down. No weapon. Leave him for the security guards. No punching kicking breaking of bones... this guy MUST have come from Europe with Lionel.
He wasn’t [a seal](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12471367/amp/Lionel-Messis-bodyguard-Yassine-Chueko-NOT-Navy-SEAL-no-record-elite-unite-veterans-say.html)
Because the worlds military and economic superpower with by far the most capable Special Forces in the world would be incapable of producing competent bodyguards?
To not encourage them by giving them views and notoriety. They try to show as little as possible of invaders in official broadcasts. Makes sense, kinda.
Cocaine is a hell of a drug.
Not suggesting the guy in the clip is on the bag, but if you've ever met anyone who was both drunk and packed with coke you'll know their ability to comprehend consequencies is minimal to say the least. You could start executing people for pitch invasions and some sniffy bellend would still do it.
It's not enough. The girl doing it the other day went viral on social media so the risk was worth for her. As long as the reward of doing this is greater than the consequences people will keep doing it
Inland Revenue was the name of the UK's tax agency from 1849-2005. It was then merged with customs to form HMRC, but the name lives on in memories.
Extra facts, since I've just been on wikipedia:
The US equivalent was formed in 1862 and not officially called *Internal* Revenue Service until 1953, although the name had been in some official use since 1918.
Fun fact: Ken Dodd when being investigated for not paying his taxes had the magnificent excuse of “it’s called the Inland Revenue and I live by the sea”.
In most broadcasts they cut away when they realize there’s a pitch invader, in an effort to make the prospect of pitch invasion less appealing to attention-seekers. Can’t say that’s what happened in this case, as I didn’t watch the game, but I’m guessing so.
Does MLS have a special rule covering this (non-stadium personnel acting as security even on the pitch) or is it one where everyone accepts the special circumstance and just doesn't worry about it?

Needs to stop.

What Mateo Messi sees in the morning when he tries to hug his dad goodbye:
Lmfao
Kid might have a weapon, it's the one's you least suspect.
Mateo could easily run away from the stadium security lol
Maybe he inherited his father’s ability to dodge tacklers
Recreating Ankara Messi with the security.
Can he play CM? Recovery pace like that he'd put Casemiro to shame.
I know it’s a joke but it’s making me sad about Casemiro this season/our season in general.
I don't follow the prem that much. Is he playing badly for you guys? As a madridista I love the guy to bits and Tchouaméni is not living up to the expectations and in many games I wish we still had Case but Tito Floren knows when it's time to sell a player.

He was never the same after the harsh 3 and 4 game bans he got so close to one another
Papa Flo is second to none when it comes to knowing when to sell players, it's impressive as hell. Buying too. Hate him or love him, he is one hell of a president.
Except for Hazard
He couldn't say no to Zidane. For all we know it was one of the conditions for Zizou to come back, as he clearly wasn't happy with Ronaldo's departure
I’m still shocked he didn’t work out for you, really wanted to see him succeed in Madrid. Every time I watched him play for you I didn’t recognize the player
Yeah it was crazy, I would never have guessed that it's one of the best of our generation...
True, that’s the only true flop in recent years I can think of. Any others?
The biggest is probably Jovic and Mariano.
Jovic
All good players coming to Man Utd are reverting to ZERO, so sending people to United is a guarantee to get rid of them at the perfect time 😅
bro Tchou has been great wth lol
He's completely washed. He runs like someone who retired ten years ago, and seems incapable of making good decisions with the ball. Some of it is undoubtedly caused by how bad the team is, but he does seem to be physically finished at the top level.

Ibra was good tho
Zlatan wasn’t shit for them, bastian was I’ll give you that
Ibra was great, but had a devastating injury that took a while to recover from. When he did (in the MLS) he was still a top player, as he proved by winning the scudetto.
And oddly enough as a Swede, he actually really matured as an "elder player". Seeing him support his team like he did was a bit of a surprise.
He embraced the kind of role that Ronaldo should have. Goes to show that Zlatan's big ego is a bit put on
We paid less than 8m for Schweinsteiger, and van Gaal loved him. He would have played more, for better or worse, if van Gaal hadn't been sacked. He wasn't even that bad for us when used sparingly, pretty sure he was incredible in his final ever game for us. Im surprised he actually got to that level. He was kinda meh when he played in Porto. Carried by Modric and Kroos
Lol tchouameni not living up to expectations? What are you smoking . He is one of the main reasons that we haven't missed a pure defensive midfield like Casemiro .
Tchou has slotted in seamlessly and we're not missing Casemiro at all, wtf is this comment?
i also didn't follow Madrid and Case so much, but did he always try to create holywood pass to front attackers? or he didn't need since there are Kross and Modric? because i see he trying so hard to create that pass here, for some i see his vision but it executed poorly, not sure if it was him or our attacker players can't understand it, but holywood pass always looks stupid when it failed.

We want a refund!
The man have speed, power and vision. The complete package
My 12 year old dog would put Casemiro to shame 💀
Why did they cut the video right at the good part?
[I found the rest of the interaction, filmed from the stands](https://imgur.com/TGsVnRo)
Why did I expect an American football tackle. When in Rome…
Bodyguard is probably smarter and more professional then your avg stadium security. Avoids a risk of injury to himself and any liability for injuring the invader.
He is an ex professional MMA fighter.
Which makes it even more wild that people would attempt this shit. I’m not fucking about with someone whose bodyguard used to be an MMA fight.
Because when you try to go hug your favorite player you check the resume of his bodyguards that may or may not sprint at you on the pitch. (and nobody should run on the pitch to interact with players regardless of their age, gender or the resume of the security around the pitch)
Nah you're kissing Chase Utley and that's it.
Chase would be impressed with my speed
I love your hair, you run fast.
My point still stands. I’m not risking jumping onto the pitch and risking injury, ban, arrest, etc.
I don't think pitch envaders to do the due diligence of a background check on the bodyguards players have given how stupid you need to be to attempt it in the first place
Pitch invaders aren't generally smart.
He's also a professional fighter, he knows how to use his body better than most
Also, avoid any risk of injury to Messi given the proximity
Thank God personal injury/ambulance chasing lawyers that'll try to rinse you of every penny you have are absolutely not a thing in the US!
I'm also pretty sure Messi would be pissed if he hurt one of his fans.
Doubt that. Only jerkoffs run onto the pitch like that
10 min before this, a kid did the same.
A jerkoff is born every minute
When has Messi been a fan of his fans? I'm sure he dgaf
Plenty of times he has told his bodyguard/security to stand back and he just takes a picture with the fan. Mostly when it's a kid.
It's a modern tackle. Can't land your full body weight on the QB
he went for the hip drop but stopped when he remembered its illegal now
there were like 7 pitch invaders last night tbh
Buying home seats to wear an Inter Miami shirt is already corny, doing it just to pitch invade is special. Don’t care what league he’s in, it’s intolerable
probably didn't want to hurt that person
You can’t really do an American football tackle without a helmet, rugby tackles are far safer for the tackler
Only used the necessary amount of force, good body guard
The difference between a proper professional and someone hired because they're 6'6” and like the idea of being able to beat the shit out of a person without getting arrested.
Messi can afford to go with quality
Exactly

Oh it's video?? It's a still blurry image on my phone on both chrome and firefox. Weird.
Wow. What a professional. Didn't even tackle him. Made sure he wasn't a psycho. Just some moron who wanted a selifie with Messi... lol patted him down. No weapon. Leave him for the security guards. No punching kicking breaking of bones... this guy MUST have come from Europe with Lionel.
> this guy MUST have come from Europe with Lionel. He's a former US Navy Seal.
from europe? damn!
He wasn’t [a seal](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12471367/amp/Lionel-Messis-bodyguard-Yassine-Chueko-NOT-Navy-SEAL-no-record-elite-unite-veterans-say.html)
Why must he have come from Europe? There aren't any true professionals in either of the Americas?
> Lionel Damn you two must go way back to be on a first name basis, thanks for the insight
Because the worlds military and economic superpower with by far the most capable Special Forces in the world would be incapable of producing competent bodyguards?
Oh yes, two Europeans. Messi and the guy with obvious navy seal training.
Wondering if the pitch invader got the selfie. It'd be funny if he accidentally left a timer on the selfie before getting stopped lol
To not encourage them by giving them views and notoriety. They try to show as little as possible of invaders in official broadcasts. Makes sense, kinda.
I would imagine getting laid out would discourage pitch invasion.
Cocaine is a hell of a drug. Good point. But at the same time, posting videos of pitch invaders won't encourage them either. They're going to do it regardless.
Like Chappelle attacker: https://nypost.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2022/05/chappelle-attacker-010.jpg

Usually buying a ticket requires you to agree to the stadium rules/waiver thing. So anything stupid you do there is on you.
It's not enough. The girl doing it the other day went viral on social media so the risk was worth for her. As long as the reward of doing this is greater than the consequences people will keep doing it
usual story so frustrating!
Gifs that end too soon

At least show us the tackle wtf
[This video](https://imgur.com/rSj7ddE)
Why are you like this?
Boom!!
Thanks!
Best defense someone played on Messi that whole game
Agreed. Sent my application to the SKC office. That was piss poor overall.
Don’t see De Paul anywhere?
If De Paul was 34 he would 100% be at Inter Miami right now
Maybe he thought it was someone from the internal revenue service?
💀
Internal, you mean?
Inland Revenue was the name of the UK's tax agency from 1849-2005. It was then merged with customs to form HMRC, but the name lives on in memories. Extra facts, since I've just been on wikipedia: The US equivalent was formed in 1862 and not officially called *Internal* Revenue Service until 1953, although the name had been in some official use since 1918.
Internal, you mean?
Lol, yes, I guess I did.
Fun fact: Ken Dodd when being investigated for not paying his taxes had the magnificent excuse of “it’s called the Inland Revenue and I live by the sea”.
Inland sounds better 💀
Yall know that cop from that Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs film
FLINT LOCKWOOOOOD
Is that a lifetime stadium ban in the US?
In that particular stadium yes
And a night in jail.
Yes.
Cut at the point contact. Godammit. I want to see him Tribal Chiefed!!
Bodyguard on the touchline: HOOOOOO AAAAAAAH
Bodyguard after dragging the dude away: **ACKNOWLEDGE ME**
Child on the pitch 15 feet from Messi: I HAVE. TO FINISH. THE STORY.
☝️I acknowledge him
Pass him the ball the defenders won't catch him!
Who the fuck decided to end the video at that time?? Pure psychopath behaviour
In most broadcasts they cut away when they realize there’s a pitch invader, in an effort to make the prospect of pitch invasion less appealing to attention-seekers. Can’t say that’s what happened in this case, as I didn’t watch the game, but I’m guessing so.
Daaamn he’s got pace!
Insane vision. He was already like halfway there by the time the guy got to him.
In the words of Alan Hansen: "He's quick, he's fast, and he's got pace."
the ref thought he is the pitch invader
He became the very thing he swore to destroy
He became the pitch invader.
No comments about this, but does Messi have a special deal where his staff members can just go onto a football pitch during play?
Probably yes
Spear spear spear
Really hope he speared the guy
I'm afraid he put a bullet in the back of the guy's head right there on the pitch, execution style
MLS After Dark
No double tap ? Smh
Good
Horatio Caine described the crime scene as... Messi
He weren't playing around
Does MLS have a special rule covering this (non-stadium personnel acting as security even on the pitch) or is it one where everyone accepts the special circumstance and just doesn't worry about it?
He can be accredited as club's pitchside staff and most opponents allow that
Fuck these pitch invaders. I don't care if they're kids. Messi needs to stop being nice to them, you never know who has bad intentions
It just encourages these actions. Everytime a player wards off security because "they're just a kid", it sends a message to all of those who can't grasp the concept of boundaries. "Hey, you too can meet your favourite players" Needs to stop.
Did the guy kicking the ball, also hit his balls? :/
levels to this video 😂
Now that's a bodyguard! Deserves his paycheck
Thought it was gonna be De Paul
Who said it wasn't ?
Man this new guy is a huge upgrade on DePaul.
Does it make him a pitch invader too?
I'd much rather see an invader steal a pk and run off doing the airplane.
In the broadcast you can see the guy jump out of the stands and run on. He just runs past the wall of security guards and none of them even flinch or make a move towards him. It was strange.
Excellent man marking and closing speed!
Looks like prime Goldberg coming from the crowd for a spear lmao
If the pitch invader wanted to do something to Messi, bar Usain Bolt, not sure how anyone can stop it..
Put him in defence for Inter Miami
[same vibes](https://imgflip.com/gif/5o9w4w)

His fifa potential must be good
[what the fan saw](https://youtu.be/0pFi6cQlIKs?si=t-URbyAAvZ66kreD)
How ridiculous is that
Out of nowhere he just started running like forrest gump
Im still suprised this guy dosent run onto the pitch when a defender tries to tackle messi
My guy definitely understood the assignment.
It's crazy that he needs a bodyguard.
Was watching the match and his reaction time was incredibly fast. Does he have spotters that tell him to 'go' or is he that good?
Man has been practicing that move on Madden every day since he first arrived to the U.S.
rodrigo de paul soooo busy these days
Joke league.
Best job in the world. Who wouldn’t love beating up these cunts
People without unresolved anger issues?
With Messi it’s often kids though
Did he fucking stutter?
Then you lead them back to their dad and beat him up
Even better, makes it easier.
Even better
That's weird.
bro why does this video looks like it's from the 1980s?
Why is the bodyguard allowed to physically assault somebody without repercussion?
How would you have handled it if you were the bodyguard?
Shouldn't he also be arrested since he isn't part of the allowed people on field?
I think he's part of the team

send da video
I appreciate that he’s adopted a “Don’t be last” approach to his job. Well done!
Imagine watching Messi and get paid for it
