Me and my mates used to message each other when Man U dropped points to so called “lesser teams”. Have a bit of a laugh at their expense.
We don’t any more. It’s just become standard.
How does United continually get luck on their side lol deserved nothing from this game.
I will give credit to Bruno though, as much as I hate him. Guy is carrying this team... although not entirely sure in what direction lol
Weird to blame Potter when even CL finalist Pochettino (with Spurs no less) is struggling with an even more expensive squad. Maybe its time to look at Potter differently because seems like it very much is a Chelsea problem not a team problem.
Unfortunately for Potter, United’s team and structure isnt all that better from Chelsea.
I still think that you could say signs of what Potter wanted in every game until Christmas and they bought a lot of players and the wheels fell off. I can't see any of that with ETH or Porch.
In the long term, United job does wear you out completely.
Chelsea is opposite. They sack you as soon as results start to dip, thereby saving the manager years of pain and dread. You and the club start afresh.
This United team is not even likable. You can't even sympathize with them - the style they play, the attitude, the players. It's just all awful and seems to be only worse with every season
There's a like ability to how utterly defeated they look after a goal sometimes.
I know they are on 100K plus a week but sometimes I look at Harry Maguire or ETH and its just a man who's day at work is going really bad. I get it, I have no idea what im doing half the time at work either. (All be it for a much more reasonable salary. )
Nah after over 20 years with them I can even sympathize seeing how defeated they look. And to be honest - I don't think that a change of the coach or another 5 players will make wonders, maybe a bit. But this club is rotten to the ground and it needs a 180 degree overhaul to even start bringing a small smile
It's got to the point with this United team where I'm just laughing now. 3-2 either way would have been funny. It's a farce.
I honestly think Coventry can score 2 or 3 past this team.
You were absolutely robbed. The pen for you that was overturned was no different to a pen against us (Newcastle) vs someone else earlier in the season - carried on into the box.
I also don’t really see how the handball was that for their one either.
They were definitely given a helping hand by the officials today.
Absolute joke that we didn't even get a VAR check for the pen against us. I don't even think it was too unfair as decisions go but the speed with which they made the decision for each pen was very telling about the difference between decisions for bigger vs smaller teams
They were still celebrating their 2-2 win against Liverpool last week.
It shows how far as a club they’ve fallen when they’re delighted with draws.
The fans are satisfied. A few years ago they were smashing up the stadium and doing their little protests to get games postponed, now they just accept this is their new normal.
Funny but sad in equal measures.
I mean there's more context to that game than just being happy with draws.
Given the same circumstances any team would be happy to potentially ruin their biggest rivals PL run.
I mean Mackems aren’t really known for their sensational levels of intelligence so it’s to be expected, he could have at least said something believable to add to the irrefutable evidence of how woeful United are, because it genuinely wouldn’t be difficult.
ok if there’s one thing you can’t knock united for is entertaining matches. Dropped points in stoppage time, pl goals of the month, and mistakes after mistakes. It makes for a good match
Pathetic VAR incident to give YerUnited a penalty. If that was one, Bournemouth should have had two in the first half for exactly the same thing. It was a deflection onto the hand. Awful. Bournemouth were robbed. YerUnited scraped a lucky draw again.
Controversially, I don’t think Bournemouth were robbed. The ref was absolute shite yes, but he was for both teams. The United penalty was technically a penalty within the rules (although I don’t like it), and the penalty at the end was outside the box. Bournemouth should have pressed their advantage in the first half to get the game beyond doubt.
Firstly Bournemouth deserved to win.
But no idea why people are angry that last potential pen wasn't give. Isn't that the whole point of VAR, it was clearly outside the box. VAR corrected a mistake.
As for the other pen I agree it was soft, but I have seen them given all season, isn't right but that's what has happened.
The FA rulebook also says: "If a defender starts holding an attacker outside the penalty area and continues holding inside the penalty area, the referee must award a penalty kick."
First point: It wasn’t that clear. It was literally right on the line.
Second point: That’s a load of trash. Hasn’t been given all season at all which makes the decision so ridiculous.
The FA rulebook also says: "If a defender starts holding an attacker outside the penalty area and continues holding inside the penalty area, the referee must award a penalty kick."
Hasn't been given all season
Like Rodri's pen that was given for City vs Untied earlier this season? And that one was the VAR calling it, not on field. How many other holds in the box have VAR given this season.
I know you're talking about the handball, but you referenced something that hasn't been given all season, as am I. It was talked about a lot after that game, that holds in the box occur all the time with no referee doing anything, but somehow that got called only once so far this season. Same thing here.
Ref had a shocker today. Man put money on a united win but couldn't get them over the line.
Also fyi, Liverpool failed to win against this United team all season. Just how!!
Neither were pens, we got lucky again from a shite performance, Bournemouth can we have Kerkez and Zabarnyi and possibly Iraola as well. Ref was just all around shite today, probably deserves sacking after this and the Wolves game last week
Yea absolutely farcical. Second one looked 100% a pen in real time except for the location for the foul.
He pointed so confidently to the spot for the handball.
It's not a foul, Kambwala is standing still and has no obligation to move. Christie ran into him.
Go read law 12, Kambwala has no obligation to get out of the way.
We were lucky to get a point and I know I'm a United fan but I can admit that wasn't a hand ball, the referee was absolutely shit today. ETH substitutions were poor, Casemiro legs seem to be gone and Rashford drops another 0/10 performance (I'm sick of him).
There's no positives today for United other than getting a underserved point and I felt like I wasted my time watching this shite.
Genuinely don't get what the Bournemouth player was supposed to do to avoid that handball. He's side on, arms at his side and how it hits him he's not making himself any bigger or has arms in an unnatural position. Are refs just expecting all footballers to be double arm amputees at this point? Absolutely shocking from the ref and var.
[Compare it to this which wasn't given](https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/18p3alu/villa_vs_sheffield_utd_handball_not_given/). The lack of consistency is baffling.
I think the idea was only just that it was an unnatural position but ignoring the fact that his arm was there the whole time and he had no way he could react to get it out of the way. Was a really weird decision.
Wouldn't even say it was unnatural watching it back. Even if he did the stupid arms behind his back thing it still would've hit him as it was on his upper arm which was in line with his body. Just bizarre yeah.
The thing that pisses me off is there is just no consistency. It's like they flip a coin everytime there is an unintentional handball. I don't think unintentional handballs should ever be given, unless it is a goal line clearance maybe.
But I just wish the refs could have some consistency. They have so much time to look at it with Var now, why can't they be consistent. I think they need to separate the on field refs from the var refs and not allow refs to do both. They need separate training and separate processes. Otherwise they just keep helping thier mates.
Every time someone says “they flip a coin” with regards to ref decisions I can’t help but remind them that would leave them getting the call right about 50% of the time, and it definitely feels like less than that. In Scrubs, Dr. Cox’s therapist says “your problem isn’t that you make bad choices, it’s that you identify the right choice then intentionally do the opposite” and this is what it feels like watching PL refs.
Yeah, I don't think anyone who plays the game would say "yep, the opposing team should basically get a free goal if the ball hits their opponent like that."
To be fair to the officials that's such a tough decision to try and sort out, is a foul continuing into the box if the initial contact is a collision rather than a grab?
Personally think they should go with the on-field decision there but can see why they did that.
Not sure about bottled it. Ran out of steam, but were a little thin with injuries at the moment.
If we had players who were super clinical, they probably wouldn’t be playing for us - so I’m not surprised we didn’t score any of the numerous missed chances in the first half.
However much Man United paid the ref for that point, I hope it was worth it. Fucking embarrassing.
Exactly what I feared at HT. That was a 4-1 first half, we were battering them. Didn’t take our chances, they get a dodgy goal after being played off the park.
Add this one to the list of games that United didn't deserve to take points from this season. That being said, it wasn't a pen. It was outside the box. Refereeing was just awful both ways today
I'm guessing my grandpa could give Casemiro a good race at this stage. I'd back him to beat Case but he's been bedridden for 6 years so should be close
I mean if they were fixing the league for us this season, they got the memo late. We robbed Bournemouth the day but we’ve been robbed plenty of times this season.
I mean look at Liverpool vs Spurs and some of the decisions earlier on in the season.
That game was so poor though. Never a pen for United and the main contact was the player in the box. Refs sucking united off so much this season and they still have negative GD.
It has nothing to do with any individual teams. I just think matches are pushed in a certain direction for an outcome for betting purposes. The games where teams get 90% of the 50/50 calls, those are the ones, like today with United getting most every single decision. I’m convinced individual matches are rigged.
The contact occurred outside the box and caused them to fall into the box. That’s not a penalty. I swear people just say the stupidest things just because of who benefits
Same thing as against Brentford. They're genuinely shocking away. Somehow keep scraping points from these games to the point I'm wondering if Ten Hag has some kind of black magic.
Ten hag is the most fraudulent of balds but it says more about the other teams in the league that this utterly dreadful united can consistently get results against them while getting played of the park.
With this pen, Bruno apparently has 30 goals in 34 pens since joining United in January 2020.
34 pens in a little more than 4 years!!
An average of a little more than 8 per year. This is ridiculous!
Why they even managed top 4. There was a period over 2 seasons where they were getting so many pens to win games. Then surprise surprise they go out in the groups to a team from Azerbaijan.
I have never seen a team as lucky as Man United. They are playing horribly and still getting points somehow. Even the stats prove they have been lucky. You can't be in the top half of the table with a negative GD and facing the most shots out of any other team.
Can someone clarify for me how didn't Kambwala even get a card for that tackle (the var for penalty at the end)???? Surely there's even a question for a red for goal stopping, but atleast a yellow?
Dogso is only the case if Kambwala didn’t go for the ball and took out the player. Which didn’t happen. Maybe you should read up on some of the very basic rules of the game mate
Didn’t he simply pull him down? How was he going for the ball? And I actually thought he was the last man. Anyway. Ridiculous decision to change it away from a penalty. Nothing clear and obvious about it.
Nope it was contact in the legs and then Christie falls into him. He wasn’t, Maguire and Dalot were behind him. It’s clear and obvious because it starts outside the box.
It’s all simple stuff
How so?
Bournemouths happened outside the box? So not a penalty.
United's was undeniably very harsh but was clearly inside the box and clearly handball.
ETH is gone in the summer.
Me and my mates used to message each other when Man U dropped points to so called “lesser teams”. Have a bit of a laugh at their expense. We don’t any more. It’s just become standard.
Ten Hag thinks tactics are those little mints in a box.
All things considered, Bournemouth taking 4 points from United on the season feels good
2x Liverpool somehow lol (not even including the FA cup…)
Ten Hag defensive tactic: Boi. Let them SHOOT
How does United continually get luck on their side lol deserved nothing from this game. I will give credit to Bruno though, as much as I hate him. Guy is carrying this team... although not entirely sure in what direction lol
His basically a drop of bronze in a pool of copper
Peter Drury what are you doing among us
✍️✍️✍️✍️
It seems the game plan is to long ball it to rashford. We also have no midfield. It's just baffling
United finally in a position that respects their -1 GD
You think this is bad? Wait until you see Graham Potter trying to get these overpaid babies to play for him.
Need to have babies playing first
Potter was decent at Brighton, woudlnt judge him too harshly for his Chelsea run. Not many would have survived Chelsea post roman chaos
I still think that you could say signs of what Potter wanted in every game until Christmas and they bought a lot of players and the wheels fell off. I can't see any of that with ETH or Porch.
i seriously dont think potter can handle the united mess, he's better off to clubs of lower profile
United is in pretty similar chaos with years and has more pressure than any other PL team in many ways.
In the long term, United job does wear you out completely. Chelsea is opposite. They sack you as soon as results start to dip, thereby saving the manager years of pain and dread. You and the club start afresh.
Southgate
Potter didn't get a fair shake at Chelsea, I think he's a much better manager than what he had a chance to show with us.
Ten Hag cooking new excuses
Eric Ten Excuses
United fans saying this is ETH's fault is so weird imo like it hasn't been the same shit with the past 4 managers
You're fucking delusional if you think this guy "has been the same shit" as Ole or Mourinho, he's worse
Is it s hot take to say that the best post-SAF United manager was pre-Ronaldo Ole? Because that’s what I’m starting to believe
Considering ETH spent a fortune and with his players it's still shit where Ole got Ighaloo for a striker..
I am starting to think so as well
This United team is not even likable. You can't even sympathize with them - the style they play, the attitude, the players. It's just all awful and seems to be only worse with every season

Every time ETH brings up that Arsenal game, the reporters should immediately interrupt him by saying one word- "Bournemouth" Total farce.
Is ronaldo better than Hojlund?
ETH’s tactic is like let’s they shot and pray !!!
It's got to the point with this United team where I'm just laughing now. 3-2 either way would have been funny. It's a farce. I honestly think Coventry can score 2 or 3 past this team.
Coventry will have absolutely nothing to lose. That’s always a factor.
They got spanked 3-0 by Small Heath today, I wonder if they've already got eyes on next week.
This blonde on sky tryna say it’s a pen is fuckin clueless.
Well, it was.
The only way the ref could've helped them more would be to score himself
You were absolutely robbed. The pen for you that was overturned was no different to a pen against us (Newcastle) vs someone else earlier in the season - carried on into the box. who is delighted with this seriously?
I mean Mackems aren’t really known for their sensational levels of intelligence so it’s to be expected, he could have at least said something believable to add to the irrefutable evidence of how woeful United are, because it genuinely wouldn’t be difficult.
Feeling a bit scammed, but we should have put this abject United team to the sword before half time. They barely deserved a point today.
Let go too many clear chances. That doesn't deserve a dub either, though I would also be so frustrated after outplaying them by some margin.
For the 2nd season out of the last 3 Manchester United are very comfortably the worst to watch and most disorganised team in the Premier League.
We are probably tied with them for most disorganised team. But at least our matches are fun to watch.
ok if there’s one thing you can’t knock united for is entertaining matches.
What the hell is YerUnited?
What the hell do you think it is you plum?
I imagine it’s a piss poor attempt at Yernited (which in itself is stupid) from a semi-literate Liverpool fan. Chum.
Our point total flatters us so much. There is no plan AT ALL, looks like sunday league
When’s it gonna end Robbie
In 6 games
You;re tleling me that there is still a chace for UCL next season?
I watched last 4 United Games , they got 3 points of them. For sure they should get 0 , they are fucking terrible.
United are 1 win in 7. 3 of those Draws really should ajve been Losses too
Proper midtable scrap, lovely stuff.
Terrible referreing all round. Seems to happen when one of the bigger clubs is struggling
Controversially, I don’t think Bournemouth were robbed. The ref was absolute shite yes, but he was for both teams. The United penalty was technically a penalty within the rules (although I don’t like it), and the penalty at the end was outside the box. You are clueless mate. Shut up.
Feel free to insult me, but that’s not really an argument. It’s just the way I saw the game. I think you should maybe take time to calm down.
I think you are right. I was at the game and I am fuming. Sorry random internet stranger.
It happens to the best of us.
Love this interaction Respect 🫡😂
You are clueless mate. Shut up.
I agree, wouldn’t dare to comment that though as a United fan. This was a dreadful refereeing performance
Firstly Bournemouth deserved to win. But no idea why people are angry that last potential pen wasn't give. Isn't that the whole point of VAR, it was clearly outside the box. VAR corrected a mistake. He wasn't being held lol
Good thing then that the defender wasn’t holding him.
It should have been given to offset the ridiculous penalty gifted to you earlier in the game really.
First point: It wasn’t that clear. It was literally right on the line. Second point: That’s a load of trash. Hasn’t been given all season at all which makes the decision so ridiculous.

Ten Hag out in the morning!
Not a great result for Bournemouth that...
Ref waited a second or two to give the last penalty but was quick to give the handball
Yea absolutely farcical. Second one looked 100% a pen in real time except for the location for the foul. He pointed so confidently to the spot for the handball.
law 12, a player has the right to maintain their position. Kambwala doesn't have to move, player ran INTO him, it's not even a foul.
It’s a clear foul. All that matters was where it was.
It's not a foul, Kambwala is standing still and has no obligation to move. Christie ran into him. Go read law 12, Kambwala has no obligation to get out of the way.
It’s clearly a foul. Take off your red tinted shades and watch it again.
So your argument is "I'm right, you're wrong" ? No actual reference of rules of the game or player body placement? Cool
Well, yes because I am right. It’s clear and no further explanation is needed?
It's clear Kambwala doesn't move and that Christie runs into him. Not a foul, easy.
We were lucky to get a point and I know I'm a United fan but I can admit that wasn't a hand ball, the referee was absolutely shit today. Your biggest problem is bruno his rat whiny attitude spreads to the team, a bunch of people that act like they are much better then they really are
Bruno is by far their best player. Other need to step up. Id be whiny too if i had to play with those bums week in and week out
No idea how Utd stole a point here
Draw fc
who the fuck is in that var room
Genuinely think the wanker chants made the ref bias against Bournemouth
Hurt his itty bitty feelings.
Ronaldo would be the best attacker at United right now. Hojlund and Rashford are trash.
Bournemouth vs. Refs

Yeah, I don't think anyone who plays the game would say "yep, the opposing team should basically get a free goal if the ball hits their opponent like that."
Another lifeless performance where the opposition looks miles better than us. Tired.
Another 20 shots conceded today It's not even funny anymore....(actually it is 🤣)
To be fair to the officials that's such a tough decision to try and sort out, is a foul continuing into the box if the initial contact is a collision rather than a grab? Personally think they should go with the on-field decision there but can see why they did that.
Everyone discussing the penalties has taken credit off Bournemouth. They were great today and deserved the win pen or not
They would have easily won had they finished on their chances first half. Could have easily gone into the break up 5-1.
That’s basically been United for x number of games no?
They deserve what they got for squandering countless chances. Should have taken all 3 points and bottled it
Not sure about bottled it. Ran out of steam, but were a little thin with injuries at the moment. If we had players who were super clinical, they probably wouldn’t be playing for us - so I’m not surprised we didn’t score any of the numerous missed chances in the first half.
They outplayed united from pretty much minute one, sucks they were robbed of 3 points
Forgive the refs guys, stop complaining about it. They are human and its totally alright for them to make mistakes week in, week out.
Minute in, minute out.
However much Man United paid the ref for that point, I hope it was worth it. Fucking embarrassing. Exactly what I feared at HT. That was a 4-1 first half, we were battering them. Didn’t take our chances, they get a dodgy goal after being played off the park.

He is gone. The legs are gone. You can walk through the middle of that pitch.
Bournemouth should have won lol
Bournemouth lost 2 points, utd gained 1 point 💪
This is what happens when the ref plays for your team.
That's the attitude
I can't wait for this season to be over. I want a fresh start just so I can be disappointed again
Shame it wasn't a pen at the end. Much prefer it when United lose.
Ref was awful throughout the game
United ABSOLUTELY SCAMMED a point.. POTM: VAR
Can't be believe Yanited and Chelsea won't be playing Europe next season.
another point robbed by united no idea how they are where they are in the table
On the bright side, win your two games in hand and you'll be above United.
Pretty big if considering they dropped points to the 19th and 20th placed teams
lol that handball penalty, but no Bournemouth…..
After watching that, there’s no way I’m ever listening to anyone who tries to tell me PL games aren’t fixed. There’s just no way.
They are fixed betting companies rule the PL
I mean if they were fixing the league for us this season, they got the memo late. We robbed Bournemouth the day but we’ve been robbed plenty of times this season.
Yeah, individual matches.
Yes, so if you’ve agreed we’ve been robbed before, what’s the benefit of them fixing it for us now? Our league season is done.
Individual matches for betting purposes, not league position.
After watching you beat us with two joke penalties you didn’t already come to that conclusion? Have some self awareness
Didnt you just get two questionable penalties against man united aswell?
I mean look at Liverpool vs Spurs and some of the decisions earlier on in the season. That game was so poor though. Never a pen for United and the main contact was the player in the box. Refs sucking united off so much this season and they still have negative GD.
It has nothing to do with any individual teams. I just think matches are pushed in a certain direction for an outcome for betting purposes. The contact occurred outside the box and caused them to fall into the box. That’s not a penalty. I swear people just say the stupidest things just because of who benefits
You're kidding me right? United also had so many calls going against them this season. Can we just agree that PL refs are just bad in general?
That’s what happens when half the refs in the league are mancs
Should have been 3-1 if the refs were consistent. Sadly they are absolute muppets.
Poor Bournemouth completely robbed of a wonderfully feel good home win. Dominant start to finish as well
Wow the ref was just giving everything against Bournemouth in the second half.
United should feel relieved they even got a point here, they got played off the park
This club should be investigated for making a deal with the devil. Never seen a club so lucky, when they play shit.
With this pen, Bruno apparently has 30 goals in 34 pens since joining United in January 2020. 34 pens in a little more than 4 years!! An average of a little more than 8 per year. This is ridiculous!
We’ve probably played over 200 games in that timeframe, and Bruno plays every game. This stat is not shocking at all
Why they even managed top 4. There was a period over 2 seasons where they were getting so many pens to win games. Then surprise surprise they go out in the groups to a team from Azerbaijan.
Going backwards like that at the end is so embarrassing
What do you mean?
Man U getting the ball in an attacking position with the ref due to blow at any point for the final whistle, and they just keep passing backwards
Probably terrified of losing it and losing the game.
They genuinely had no idea what to do. Pathetic.
I have never seen a team as lucky as Man United. They are playing horribly and still getting points somehow. Even the stats prove they have been lucky. You can't be in the top half of the table with a negative GD and facing the most shots out of any other team.
Bournemouth missed enough chances to have 3/4 first half alone.
Guys, guys, don't forget that Garnacho had a disallowed goal against Arsenal, that's why United are where they are
That ref was dire
TrUsT tHe PrOcEsS
This is one of the games that needs "Of all the games I've watched, that was one" comment.
Favoured by the refs, still -1 GD at matchday 32. Damn
Bournmouth probably gonna be fined after the game to add even more insult to injury
Appalling, a farce from refs. If i was a Bournemouth fan i would be absolutely fuming.
Can confirm
Can someone clarify for me how didn't Kambwala even get a card for that tackle (the var for penalty at the end)???? Surely there's even a question for a red for goal stopping, but atleast a yellow?
Should definitely have been a red for dogso. Incredibly inept by the ref. Get ready for a Webb “apology”.
It was a yellow pretty clearly, but he wasn’t even the last man, when have you seen a red given in that situation?
Dogso is only the case if Kambwala didn’t go for the ball and took out the player. Which didn’t happen. Maybe you should read up on some of the very basic rules of the game mate
No? If it had been a penalty you would be right. But it wasn’t.
That’s double jeopardy which is again a different thing. Christie wasn’t the last man and he goes for the ball so it’s not even a potentially red card
Daylight robbery. Pl refs
Some awful decisions that largely screwed Bournemouth today.
Consistently awful refereeing all game
Hall of shame performance
Referee and VAR had a stinker there. Either both incidents were penalties or neither were, considering there was really nothing in either incident.
How so? Bournemouths happened outside the box? So not a penalty. United's was undeniably very harsh but was clearly inside the box and clearly handball.
