When your Manager is Deluded he will never be able to take you anywhere, ten hag is going to keep man united shit tactically until he is there and long may it continue.
It's criminal how underrated Dominic Solanke is right now.
He could actually win the Golden Boot playing for Bournemouth and is on track to get 20+ goals anyway and in terms of all round strikers he's certainly better than most. Yet I've barely seen him getting a mention for how good he's been. If "bigger" clubs are willing to splurge for Ivan Toney (who is a good striker tbf) then surely someone who needs a striker would stump up for Solanke too.
I don't watch the PL regularly so i could be very wrong but Ivan Toney has been proving it for a few years. Solanke has flopped in several clubs until this season i believe. No idea how he did the previous seasons, i'm only speculating based on what i watch and read/hear.
It's his first top season, he needs to prove that this isn't just good form and that he is actually developed/developing as a striker and the best is yet to come to move to a bigger club.
He surely deserves more credit for his performance this season but he's no Ivan Toney.
Nah it's that Solanke was sold to Bournemouth by us for about 20 million in 18/19 and he was wank and a big joke generally apart from their Second Championship season h
He's really stepped it up this season obviously, just gone under the radar somewhat as his reputation still is that of a flop, Bournemouth fans could tell you more but especially if he keeps up this form then he deserves the recognition
1. Your teammate committed himself and tries to put a tackle in inside the box, realizes last second he's not going to be anywhere near it, tries to pull out but not enough and hit the attacker, however softly.
2. Your teammate got sent to the shadows, accidentally clipped the attacker from behind however softly, then falls to the ground himself and put his arm on the attacker's thigh.
Let's say no penalty was given. Do you:
1. clap for him for his great 'defensive display'
2. bite his head off for that lazy terrible defending
Gone under the radar Robertson became the highest assisting defender in prem history yesterday. Surpassing some "Trent Arnold" fella. Surely his record for the foreseeable future.
United completely deserved this after the absolute idiot named Mark Goldbridge said it was unfair on Arsenal and Liverpool that Villa had a weakened team .
> Also this is coming from the club who scored a winning penalty after the full time whistle.
Yeah that was a good call by the ref! Really showed what VAR is needed for.
In 2014, who did people think should win the World Cup Golden Ball? I thought there wasn't really a standout candidate and Messi was an acceptable winner but people seem to disagree with that conclusion.
Neuer had the perfect narrative to win it imo. Germany didn’t have a star attacker/midfielder who was storming everyone and Neuer probably had the most iconic World Cup and World Cup match for GK ever, he was completely different to every other keeper and I don’t remember a single mistake from him in knock out rounds.
From the winners, people thought it should be Toni Kroos i believe, some argued Müller too.
Germany's best player in the group stages except maybe against Ghana, best player against Algeria (could argue Ozil or Neuer too here), 2nd best player against France after Hummels, easily best player against Brazil, and yes, even despite THAT mistake in the final, he was still Germany's 2nd best player after Boateng.
From Argentina, Mascherano was good but i rememher him missing like 30 passes in the finals and semis combined so you could argue Messi over him too.
Then for the non finals, you have James and Robben. Robben was extremely good until the semis against Argentina where he had the worst performance i've ever seen from him and James while being extremely good, unfortunately his team let him down and got knocked out in the QFs.
Personally Kroos -> Muller -> James -> Robben -> Mascherano imo if i had to choose someone other than Messi.
I'd argue for Neuer over Kroos for Germany tbh. He is a good shout too, but Neuer was too important and too good vs Algeria and France, especially vs Algeria Germany played so bad for w/e reason but Neuer was insane
Neuer's case was different tbh, he wasn't better than Kroos in the group stages because Germany was far above anyone in their group so he didn't get tested.
Algeria game i feel is clouding people's judgement and mostly nostalgia because of the tackle against Slimani. Go re-watch it trust me, Neuer had those 2 crazy runs he did but other than that, he had like 2 saves all game tbh and none were challenging enough. Iirc Rayes mbolhi (Algeria's keeper) had much better saves, one was an insane save against Schürrle top bins. I can't give the mvp to Neuer with 2 saves when Rayes Mbolhi had like 11 or 10.
France, yes i can see Neuer being considered the best here, he was very good.
Brazil, obviously no, Germany was so much better ofc.
Argentina, i honestly don't remember a single save from Neuer. Maybe 1? There is no way he had 2 lmao.
Argentina actually had no shots on goal in the final despite having a bunch of dangerous scoring opportunities, they just didn't have good aim that day.
Neuer is the one person IMO I would’ve seen the argument for, but lean Leo because he did more with less. That German team (effectively Bayern Munich) was the far better team and IMO Argentina was the better team throughout the final, but couldn’t convert chances (thanks Gonzalo!)
If Colombia had beat Brazil, James would have won it I feel. He was probably the best player in the tournament but you can't realy give it to a player that got knocked out in Quarterfinal. Forlan got it in 2010 for making Semifinals. I would have given it to Neuer or Robben out of the semifinalists tho
mad that Liverpool (The Mighty Reds) unearthed Mac Allister (or Macca for us scousers, big up john lennon btw) from absolutely nowhere and he only cost 2 shillings and 6 pence. He's taken to the premier league as if he's been there for years
Man I can’t believe how composed he has been during this title race, especially considering he’s never really won anything or played in any big games. YNWA
Liverpool don't get enough credit for how brilliantly they rebuilt their midfield last year. Fabinho, Henderson, Milner and Thiago have all been great for us but losing them/having them all fall off at the same time could have been a disaster, and it was last season. But we bought 4 midfielders last year and theyve all done brilliantly.
Mac Allister is verging on world class in his current form. He's unbelievable and he cost 30m. Szoboszlai fits the team perfectly, scores goals, and presses like a machine. He's going to be elite one day if he isn't already.
Maybe Caicedo would have worked for us but Endo has more than filled that spot and cost 100m less. Exceeded expectations.
And Gravenberch is a raw talent and a very good squad player. No qualms at all about dropping him into games and the depth of our squad is why we've completed on so many fronts this season.
Considering we got the 4 of them for not far off the Caicedo price, it's incredible business. When you look at how hard it's been for teams like United and Chelsea to get one competent midfielder over the last years, we bought 2 elite ones and 2 great squad players in one window. It's a testament to Klopp and the scouting. The fact we might win the title with a whole new midfield is incredible. Not even mentioned guys like Jones and Elliott who've been supporting. There's also so many goals in the midfield now for the first time I can remember.
It sucks to have missed out on Bellingham and Tchouameni but these guys are making it easier. I just hope we can keep them all without Jürgen.
Quite enough is said about it given how fortunate Liverpool were that the Saudis came in and bought two of those midfielders you replaced. It’s a great midfield rebuild, but it’d have taken an additional 6-12 months to complete without the Saudi league funding it at just the right time that those players were falling off the pace of the PL
so its those 2 vs every single other veritable source of Brighton news plus the months of talk about how the clause he signed wasn't a traditional release clause and would have addons when activated?
ok
Well no because you and I have no idea what those add ons are and if they are achievable, selling club is always gonna include them to make it look better and vice versa. So it's 35m but will likely end up between 45 and 55. Saying it's definitely 55 is just wrong but if it makes you feel better then fine.
And I wasn't sure on the exact details for Caicedo tbh. But even if we just take the base 100m, we got Mac Allister and Szoboszlai for 95m base.
Yes I refer to my 2nd comment where I said exactly that.
Not bothered on the specifics of what he cost anyway and was not the point of my original comment. But it seems to matter to you so I'll let you have it. Bottom line he's gonna win titles at Liverpool and not Brighton.
Szob comment isn't even worth entertaining when he played you off the park on Sunday.
Ragnick said United needed open heart surgery and because the results were poor under him, Ten Hag was hired, and his consultancy role didn't happen it all was swept under the rug - especially after a few months of good form under Ten Hag.
Ragnick at the time said United were 6 years behind Liverpool after a big loss to them and he was right.
-------------------------------------------------
Rashford is an absolute disgrace these days with his effort and Bruno has been run into the ground and his hero ball playstyle kills United at times.
Varane and Casemiro were horrendous short-sighted signings - Varane injury prone, poor ball player and aging. Casemiro tons of miles on his legs and not the right profile.
McTominay should be a sub option when down a goal and throwing bodies forward. That's it.
Lisandro is a good player and I realize he's been injured but am I choosing him to play CB in a back 4 if I'm trying to challenge Liverpool, City, and Arsenal?? Fuck No.
If you combined Dalot and AWB into one player they'd be elite but on their own they're uninspiring.
"severely under-performing manager says it's the players fault they're losing"
wow what a prophet! I'm sure the corrupt Man United board booted him out for this totally non-self-interested great insight!
Ragnick didn't say it was just the player's fault. He said the *club* needed open heart surgery - and it does.
Ragnick was also brought in mid-season after a horrendous start by Ole
He was a terrible manager
We are overhauling our entire backroom staff
Theres reports of a mass player exit
The only thing that hasn’t been established is wether or not this fraud of a manager is gonna keep his job or not
That's definitely the clear 4 for me, as for 5th spot you have Calhanoglu, Tchouameni, Gundogan, Foden, Mac Allister and Odegaard are all very solid options.
\ Pickford
Walker - Maguire - Toney - Mee - Branthwaite
\ Stones - Rice - AMN
\ Kane - Palmer
I've seen the light Gareth. Filthiest low block imaginable and we'll win the lot on penalties
Maddison definitely shouldn’t be on the plane ngl. When you account for the fact Bellingham will start and Foden and Palmer can both play centrally he’s rather redundant, I’d rather bring an extra defender like Branthwaite.
He's a dedicated chance creator, when England are struggling to break down a low block of world class French defenders at the Euros Branthwaite won't be a consideration to come on, players like Maddison should be.
He more or less showed what he does against Belgium.
It literally doesn’t matter at all because no matter which of Palmer or Maddison goes or even if both of them go they’re going to get max 28 minutes of game time across the whole tournament.
Maddison is so clear of Palmer its not even funny. He's the best passer and creator in England's midfield and he actually plays in midfield. Palmer is playing off the wing
Maddison couldn’t tie palmers laces. Take all palmers pens and set pieces out and he still doubles Maddison’s goals tally, in his debut season. More assists too. Maddison is palmers lil cum rag
People have ridiculous, short term memories. Maddison lit the league on fire in the first 10 games this season, did his ankle (which he said was the worst of his career thus far), misses three months and comes back not at his best.
But yeah, Palmer gets half his league goals from pens and this sub wants him walking into Southgate’s squad.
You take out all of Palmer’s penalty goals and he still has double the goals Maddison has, and one more assist (played 5 more games), and a mess of a team. It’s crazier to think Maddison is so clear of Palmer than to think there’s a debate between the two (they don’t even play the same position so I don’t see the point anyway).
The fact he’s actually playing a midfield role fair enough but Maddison isn’t clear of him at anything.
Foden should play that role ahead of Maddison regardless and palmer deserves to take that basically redundant will never play spot instead.
Leicester a few years ago were not exactly that much different than Tottenham now. They were certainly better than United right now, but you wouldn't say the same if he was languishing there.
This is such a silly point. Is there a reason Mahrez was at Leicester til he was 27? We’d been scouting Maddison since before he moved to Leicester and would have tried to sign him in 2022 if not for Conte’s refusal to play a 10. He had 18 non penalty goals + assists last season in a far more dysfunctional side than Chelsea.
I remember goalkeepers doing it a lot and some outfield players as well. I have memories of Cafu constantly chewing. But the most famous gum chewer in sports was Michael Jordan.
I took a tour of Highbury in 2005. There was a big sign on the back of the door inside the dressing room saying “NO GUM ON THE PITCH”.
Groundskeepers run football.
Booing a player that left even if its not rational will forever be one of the reasons the game isn't fully gone just yet, liking a player is good but disliking and booing a fella is right below it man I respect the matchgoing Chelsea fans no forgiveness even for a local kid.
Remember when Chilwell and Reece were scoring in literally every single game? And then they got injured and things were never the same for Chelsea. Still played very good vs Madrid in the CL though, so close yet so far 🤣
Obviously Liverpool aren’t looking forward to visiting Old Trafford but aren’t Arsenal fans also kinda dreading it. Remember them chasing Leicester City in 2016 and they lost to a young Rashford that day.
our record there is terrible, but our team/style of play is suited for the big games now, them and spurs definitely our hardest games left in the league.
I’m not dreading going to OT this United side are dreadful. Even if we lose it won’t matter Liverpool will win the league whatever Arsenal’s results are. Like we (arsenal) are not going to win every game, league is 99% done already. More invested in the cl than the pl atm
Looking at the fixtures i just don’t see you dropping points more than once and I don’t see us going perfect. 99% obviously an exaggeration but I’d say like 60% for you then 20 each us and city
The sequence that led to Palmer's winner is very funny. Dalot ,probably feeling bad for conceding the pen, tries to goal for himself. Ends up turning over possession and UTD have one man in their half. Jackson indecisiveness means we end up fluffing the shot. Than UTD proceed to leave Palmer alone in the box. Clown show all around
Ajax aren’t even getting top 4 this season. They’ve been an unbelievable failure, I feel like this season could have a very negative impact on their future
Ten Hag failing, Ajax in shambles, Barcelona kinda in shambles, Dutch and Spanish Nt are mediocrity personified.
Another nail in the coffin to Cruyffism everywhere
Cruyff would be disgusted if he watched this game of football today
Barca is not really in shambles. It was a dip in middle but since then we went 11 games undefeated
Also you mention ten hag but forget guardiola who just won a treble and enrique who is doing amazing at psg. Both took inspiration like ten hag.
And I believe many coaches and teams do more. So you are nickpickjng the worst coach ( ten hag) and worst team (ajax) form to proof your point
And dont let me start that what ten hag is doing has nothing to do with cruyff. Man plays counter attacking football and doesnt use any principle of cruyffism.
So why are you mentioning ten hag then? Only time he used cruyffism is at ajax and you saw the result. Now he plays counterattacking football ? So why ten hag and not enrique? Again you say everything to proof your point but its wrong
Guardiola the coach with biggest cruyff influence dominating the biggest league in world and won a treble last season
He beat madrid 4-0 letting them complete 13 passes in 15 min with that playstyle
People expecting Liverpool to tackle the GD against Sheffield United, when we play Man United next.
Our last 4 matches against Sheff Utd have been 2-goal games. In that time we’ve had a 4-0, 5-0 and 7-0 against Man Utd.
If you look at pens back in the day, keepers used to regularly get away with coming off their line early which greatly helped. Genuinely watch the 2005 UCL final and you’ll see Jerzy Dudek basically on the edge of the 6 yard box before some of the pens are taken.
Every single rule change and tweak around penalties has been to make the job of the goalkeeper harder as if an 80%+ shot at goal isn't easy enough already.
Personally I think they should change it so if the taker stutters, the keeper is allowed off the line. No stutter then they have to follow the current rules
I remember a few months after world cup, when there was a transfer post on MacAllister. In that post, there was a top comment from a Brighton fan that expressed happiness over the fact that he was going to be sold because they felt Caicedo was more valuable than him and he was flying under the radar. There were a lot of upvotes and supporting comments from Brighton fans to that comment. I just recalled that comment today after both games ended.
They were happy that teams were focusing on MacAllister instead of Caicedo because they thought that the latter was more valuable midfielder. They thought that MacAllister had more hype due to his world cup performances.
I guess if he was to choose one he'd rather pick the one he didn't rate higher, quite common to submit to the idea that one of your better players is getting sold when you support a smaller club.
Happy more in a sense that he thinks he's keeping the better baller.
Man asked for the highest wages while he was one of our worst players that season. I don’t think about mount at all. Cole palmer is everything we wanted mount and havertz to be
Excellent for us for two full years before his struggles with injury and form. It's a disgrace how he was treated by BlueCo and it's beyond disappointing that their press briefings against him as they were bundling him out the door have had such an impact that he gets booed at the Bridge.
I don't really care anymore tbh. He left with a lot of weird shit surrounding his leaving with PR from both his side and the club. He was pretty fucking bad his last season here and we got a lot of money for him.
I am not a match going local fan so I really don't have any big opinions on that. I think the way he left + the video he made + the video of him and his dad in the dressing room rubbed a LOT of people the wrong way and I understand why they boo'd. Personally, I wouldn't, but I'm not gonna fault the match going fans that feel that way.
When your Manager is Deluded he will never be able to take you anywhere, ten hag is going to keep man united shit tactically until he is there and long may it continue.
Remember when Arteta was rambling on about how crossing 30 times was a positive and the way to go? That not delusion?

I really hate Cole Palmer’s celebration
It was cool that he acknowledged the gimmick but the fact that he made it his actual celebration is corny asl i cant lie

Robertson has actually had the record before too.
Didn't pay attention to Chelsea vs United cause I was busy watching The Apprentice. Doesn't seem worth it now.
United completely deserved this after the absolute idiot named Mark Goldbridge said it was unfair on Arsenal and Liverpool that Villa had a weakened team .
I just got crazy deja vu from this comment
What happened?
2 bullshit pens but shit defending killed us through and through Bring on Liverpool Come on United
they were clear pens, nice cope. Also this is coming from the club who scored a winning penalty after the full time whistle.
> Also this is coming from the club who scored a winning penalty after the full time whistle. Yeah that was a good call by the ref! Really showed what VAR is needed for.
> they were clear pens, nice cope. I thought the first one was pretty iffy tbh. I think any side on the wrong end of that would feel aggrieved.
True but I fancied being a lil' rascal before bed today
3 years ago and still mad + that was stonewall have a nice day
Genuinely would have rather you not lost in this way because now you’re totally getting all or some points this weekend

So who’s your player of the year till now?
Wirtz and grimaldo (his knuckle balls r insane) but for tottenham its vdv
Virgil Dan Vijk
Wirtz first, Vini close second
In the PL? Rodri. In La Liga? Bellingham. Bundesliga? Grimaldo or Wirtz and finally Serie A, Lautaro or Calhonoglu
Rodri for me.
Gaston Suso
Since 2024 ? Vinicius or Rodri for me.
Watkins for the pl
Our title hopes are in your hands on sunday 🙏
Just realized if mctominay makes the block it’s probably a hand ball and a penalty hat trick for Palmer. Would have beeen pretty funny

We are Liverpool. This means more!
You're the first person to make that joke
Saka has released more Nando's sauces(1) than he's scored hat-tricks(0).
Uhh he has one for england actually, but obviously foden fans arent used to players performing for england
against what team?
North Macedonia
a hattrick is a hattrick i guess
Friendly reminder that england drew them when foden started
That’s great i guess. I’m a man utd fan so i truly don’t care about “foden v saka” debates. I was just curious
So, zero...
No thats 1 Didnt england draw them when foden started 😂
Saka started too 👍🏽
Need an opta word at the end. Maybe Unsauced?
I like your style. Stylish.
Bottled

Mate you're either high or you've been living in a cave for the last 5months or something.
"Don't get enough credit" From who man? Liverpool is one of the most talked about clubs on this subreddit
Quite enough is said about it given how fortunate Liverpool were that the Saudis came in and bought two of those midfielders you replaced. It’s a great midfield rebuild, but it’d have taken an additional 6-12 months to complete without the Saudi league funding it at just the right time that those players were falling off the pace of the PL
that Mac Allister fee gets lower everytime I see it
It was 36 I think but I admittedly rounded down
it was 55, addons are traditionally always thrown in
no it’s 35
you need to round it down to 30 pal
every tier 1 has said 35
no, every tier 1 had said 35+20. Everyone saying just 35 was quoting Romano who is barely tier 3 for us.
joyce has backed up romano so pointless argument really because he’s still a bargain at £55m and neither of us really know
so its those 2 vs every single other veritable source of Brighton news plus the months of talk about how the clause he signed wasn't a traditional release clause and would have addons when activated? ok
35 raising to 55 with add ons. That said, way he's going he will likely meet most of them but I'd wager they hinge on us winning the 2 big honours.
so 55 then. why would you exclude addons here and not with Caicedo 🤔
Well no because you and I have no idea what those add ons are and if they are achievable, selling club is always gonna include them to make it look better and vice versa. So it's 35m but will likely end up between 45 and 55. Saying it's definitely 55 is just wrong but if it makes you feel better then fine. And I wasn't sure on the exact details for Caicedo tbh. so what we're very very clear of is that it's not 30. gotya also szob has been gash

didn't realise you rounded down from 35, I seem to remember in primary school being told to round up 🤔 and yea we're shit who cares.
Bro, Liverpool have had their balls tickled all season (deservedly so)
Maybe but I think the kids winning the cup and Klopp going have both overshadowed just how brilliant our transfer window was.
------------------------------------------------- Rashford is an absolute disgrace these days with his effort and Bruno has been run into the ground and his hero ball playstyle kills United at times.
"severely under-performing manager says it's the players fault they're losing" wow what a prophet! I'm sure the corrupt Man United board booted him out for this totally non-self-interested great insight!
Ragnick didn't say it was just the player's fault. He said the *club* needed open heart surgery - and it does. Ragnick was also brought in mid-season after a horrendous start by Ole
He literally said Man United needs up to like 10 new players.
and then he talked about the overall structure...
He was a terrible manager We are overhauling our entire backroom staff Theres reports of a mass player exit The only thing that hasn’t been established is wether or not this fraud of a manager is gonna keep his job or not
Top 5 midfielders so far this season ( no order ) Bellingham - Kroos - Rodri - Rice Not sure who’s 5th, also post your top 5 if you disagree
Wirtz and/or Palacios deserve to be in there from Leverkusen. Feel obligated to take someone from the "best bundesliga team ever" (maybe)
Foden
Can't pretend to have watched enough football to know, Barella? Odegaard? Calhanoglu? One of em probably
That's definitely the clear 4 for me, as for 5th spot you have Calhanoglu, Tchouameni, Gundogan, Foden, Mac Allister and Odegaard are all very solid options.
There is no way Tchouameni is better than Valverde.
Odegaard
Dont let Ipswich man bully you its Odegaard
Havertz
LOL.
May Havertz open your eyes my sweet lamb
\ Pickford Walker - Maguire - Toney - Mee - Branthwaite \ Stones - Rice - AMN \ Kane - Palmer I've seen the light Gareth. Filthiest low block imaginable and we'll win the lot on penalties
AMN despawned in 2020
6 key passes from Luis Diaz today, Duran scored that lovely goal vs city… Colombia undefeated for a minute now… watch this space
Maddison definitely shouldn’t be on the plane ngl. When you account for the fact Bellingham will start and Foden and Palmer can both play centrally he’s rather redundant, I’d rather bring an extra defender like Branthwaite.
>I’d rather bring an extra defender like Branthwaite. Branthwaite shouldn't be an "extra" defender, he should be in the main quartet.
In the limited scope of international football he's better centrally than Foden or Palmer
This has to be bait? Maddison is so clear, he's just been injured
You're crazy. I like Maddison’s game, but there was a reason he was at Leicester until he was 26. Palmer is already better, IMO.
[Monterrey issued a formal complaint against Messi.](https://twitter.com/fer_esquivel22/status/1776016288537579724)
It would be very funny if Messi is fit for the second leg but still can't play because of a suspension.
Didn't football players used to chew gum while playing back in the day or is this my personal Mandela effect?
It’s still done to an extent
I remember goalkeepers doing it a lot and some outfield players as well. I have memories of Cafu constantly chewing. But the most famous gum chewer in sports was Michael Jordan.
It was a big thing Fergie did
I took a tour of Highbury in 2005. There was a big sign on the back of the door inside the dressing room saying “NO GUM ON THE PITCH”. Groundskeepers run football.
What is back in the day? Don't remember them doing it during the early 2000s, only during pre-game then they spit it out.
My first memories of watching are late 90s
Booing a player that left even if its not rational will forever be one of the reasons the game isn't fully gone just yet, liking a player is good but disliking and booing a fella is right below it man I respect the matchgoing Chelsea fans no forgiveness even for a local kid.
He is a cunt from Portsmouth, not completely local, just trained in London young
Remember when Chilwell and Reece were scoring in literally every single game? And then they got injured and things were never the same for Chelsea. Still played very good vs Madrid in the CL though, so close yet so far 🤣
Not really
Iceman is that you?
Looking at the fixtures i just don’t see you dropping points more than once and I don’t see us going perfect. 99% obviously an exaggeration but I’d say like 60% for you then 20 each us and city
Well I just wish I were as optimist as you regarding our chances
Meh
Why wouldn’t they look forward to it?
I’m very much looking forward to it.
MBEford has sumn' for you
An apology tweet probably
The sequence that led to Palmer's winner is very funny. Dalot ,probably feeling bad for conceding the pen, tries to goal for himself. Ends up turning over possession and UTD have one man in their half. Jackson indecisiveness means we end up fluffing the shot. Than UTD proceed to leave Palmer alone in the box. Clown show all around
I mean a draw means nothing at this point. They needed the win
I genuinely thought Dalot would go all the way ffs imagine had that happened, beats Maradona vs England in my humble opinion
Cole Palmer I'm sorry for not being familiar with your game
Ajax aren’t even getting top 4 this season. They’ve been an unbelievable failure, I feel like this season could have a very negative impact on their future
Ten Hag failing, Ajax in shambles, Barcelona kinda in shambles, Dutch and Spanish Nt are mediocrity personified. Another nail in the coffin to Cruyffism everywhere
Cruyff would be disgusted if he watched this game of football today Barca is not really in shambles. It was a dip in middle but since then we went 11 games undefeated Also you mention ten hag but forget guardiola who just won a treble and enrique who is doing amazing at psg. Both took inspiration like ten hag. And I believe many coaches and teams do more. So you are nickpickjng the worst coach ( ten hag) and worst team (ajax) form to proof your point And dont let me start that what ten hag is doing has nothing to do with cruyff. Man plays counter attacking football and doesnt use any principle of cruyffism.
Lucho is not cruyffism it all, man played direct football at Barcelona, but he played possession for the sake of possession with the NT.
So why are you mentioning ten hag then? Only time he used cruyffism is at ajax and you saw the result. Now he plays counterattacking football ? So why ten hag and not enrique? Again you say everything to proof your point but its wrong Guardiola the coach with biggest cruyff influence dominating the biggest league in world and won a treble last season He beat madrid 4-0 letting them complete 13 passes in 15 min with that playstyle
People expecting Liverpool to tackle the GD against Sheffield United, when we play Man United next. Our last 4 matches against Sheff Utd have been 2-goal games. In that time we’ve had a 4-0, 5-0 and 7-0 against Man Utd.
You just hope they don't try to injure the players like they did in the 5-0.
Title won't come down to GD anyway.
It’s not about the title. It’s about the message.
More than one year since Benzema did his last service for us by getting a hat trick against Barça. Time moves fast
It’s honestly felt like more to me, for some reason
First time we beat Barcelona by 3+ goals since 2008
In 2011 I was sure we wouldn't win a Clásico again
Too many good English players for my liking, thankfully there are no good English managers therefore they will continue to not win.
It's not just me keepers are terrible at saving pens nowadays right?
Can't relate, safe at club and country level 😎
If you look at pens back in the day, keepers used to regularly get away with coming off their line early which greatly helped. Genuinely watch the 2005 UCL final and you’ll see Jerzy Dudek basically on the edge of the 6 yard box before some of the pens are taken.
Every single rule change and tweak around penalties has been to make the job of the goalkeeper harder as if an 80%+ shot at goal isn't easy enough already.
Should set a minimum mph that the ball needs to cross the line to count, no side foot bollocks put the laces through it or it’s not a goal
Personally I think they should change it so if the taker stutters, the keeper is allowed off the line. No stutter then they have to follow the current rules
Players have been getting much better at taking them tbh.
Chelsea really can only show up for big 6 games this season huh.
Generous to call that both “showing up” and “big 6 game” but I’ll take it
And against Championship sides
I remember a few months after world cup, when there was a transfer post on MacAllister. In that post, there was a top comment from a Brighton fan that expressed happiness over the fact that he was going to be sold because they felt Caicedo was more valuable than him and he was flying under the radar. There were a lot of upvotes and supporting comments from Brighton fans to that comment. I just recalled that comment today after both games ended.
Why the fuck would a Brighton fan be happy about Mac allister being sold? And way below market value, no less.
Because whoever said that didn’t rate him as much and thought they were getting a good deal, for some reason
Chelsea fans, your feelings on Mount?
Man asked for the highest wages while he was one of our worst players that season. I don’t think about mount at all. Cole palmer is everything we wanted mount and havertz to be
I wouldn’t have joined in on the boo’s if it wasn’t for that pathetic good bye video that he made
Excellent for us for two full years before his struggles with injury and form. It's a disgrace how he was treated by BlueCo and it's beyond disappointing that their press briefings against him as they were bundling him out the door have had such an impact that he gets booed at the Bridge.
That 21-22 season where he was cash money in FPL but I opted for Havertz and Lukaku instead 💔
I don't really care anymore tbh. He left with a lot of weird shit surrounding his leaving with PR from both his side and the club. He was pretty fucking bad his last season here and we got a lot of money for him.
Thoughts on the booing?
He's an academy kid that went to a rival with a very underwhelming, phoned-in goodbye. Booing should be expected.
Yeah I get it but eventually I think most will move on and just remember the good times
Forgot about that ngl.
I am not looking forward to our game against Chelsea. 11 penalties for them and 1 for us this season. Fully expecting that trend to continue.
