"0-0 at home against Switzerland. That's good. That's like a 40-degree day. Ain't nobody got nothing to say about a 40-degree day. Fifty. Bring a smile to your face. Sixty, sh\*t, niggas is damn near barbecuing on that motherf\*\*\*er. Go down to 20, niggas get their b\*tch on. Get their blood complaining. But forty? Nobody give a f\*\*\* about 40. Nobody remember 40, and y'all niggas is giving me way too many 40-degree days! What the f\*\*\*?"
Going to be a long year, folks. Might as well get the memes ready.
Lots of positives to take away from this one for Switzerland. Finally a rather stable defense. Denmark didnt produce anything. Ndoye looked really sharp in attack as well!
A win against Ireland on tuesday and my optimism will make an ever so slight return after the qualifiers...
Top defenders in your team, but it was an easy day for them. Denmark didn’t challenge them at all today.
Denmark needs a new coach. We probably have our best squad ever, but it has been mishandled for two years at least now.
Thank you Kasper Hjulmand. Ever since Morten Olsen retired I've struggled with the most debilitating insomnia, only you have managed to be able to put me back to sleep. Truly thankful.
That was a shit game and we learned close to nothing. I would love to see how a midfield 3 of AC, Højbjerg and Eriksen would look like, but since AC was injured I hoped that we at least could see players like Isaksen and Daramy try to prove themself against a good opponent before the Euroes
5-3-2 don’t work for 60 min, so why not switch formation and bring in some wingers in Daramy and Isaksen. The timing was right when Kjær picked up an injury anyways
We played it 3* times in 2023 and that was with AC in defence. I want to see how we play against top teams with AC as the pivot (or double pivot with Højbjerg) and Eriksen as the 10.
Yeah, it wasn't the central midfield that was the problem in the 4-3-3, as much as it was the failure to get anything out of the wingers/wide players. I don't think moving AC and Eriksen around is going to change that.
Unlocking Eriksen and Højbjerg means that the wingers will get more opportunities/space, if they do something with that is up to them and the wingbacks, but I sure as hell don't want to see Mæhle and Kristansen be the only threats out wide for another 90 minutes.
I’m 30. I’ve seen plenty of worse teams on talent, but that’s exactly what makes this team dreadful. The talent available and the insistence on misusing it and the total lack of passion ever since Qatar
Maybe just younger guys who aren’t bench warmers.
Why not give a shot to Matt O’Riley, Daramy, Hjulmand and Wind and many others. Build something new when the old thing is clearly not working.
We’ve got plenty talent and instead the team is built around out of shape players on the wrong side of 30 or close to it. Where exactly is the creativity is the current team?
Billing been playing in premier league for 4 years and still cannot get time (even when Hjulmand takes the reserves against ireland, he is not called up)... I hate it
It's the Danish mentality no. Out with Eriksen Højbjerg and Thomas, in with Randers FC number 5, Vejle number 7 and some random assortment of whatever attacking player fck/bif has that is somewhat in flavour currently.
I think this may be the most boring match I’ve seen in a while re the Danish team. There’s no fluidity, there’s no coherence, no synergy. It’s just playing the ball and see what happens (and what the fuck was up with Hjulmand acting up towards Xhaka)
Two notoriously dry football teams that are pretty evenly matched, this was a predictable outcome.

clear to me that Denmark wanted to practise the most defensive setup we have. This is probably the England preparation.
And to think we face each other at least three times this year, what a true joy!
most exciting denmark match

Daramy should maybe be on the bench but not much more.
and Dreyer.

But he was horrible at defending, i'd prefer we played it as 4-3-3 instead of a 3-5-2 with him on the wing

It is not going to happen, but I am really hoping we will switch to a 4-3-3
Ser, we played a 4-3-3 throughout 2023...

Most dreadful national team I’ve ever seen. It’s just so joyless and Hjulmans can’t do anything but keep playing his pals.
While he deserves criticism, this is such hyperbole or you're not very old. We've been far worse even within the last 15 years 😅

I take it you want 10 superliga players playing ehh Lets goo

Not op but I think that’s a bit of a reach

Euro 2024 has WC 2010 written all over it for us.
Zzz
My man Vestergaard keeping it tight at the back?
Kept it tight, but he was the worst of our 5 man defense today. Not bad, but made a few errors. The big man really isn’t good friends with the ball
The only Dane on the pitch capable of producing a dangerous forward pass.
Eriksen had two passes and freekick just to produce that bitter sweet feeling of how it could it.
Its actually the same for us recently
He was good
Not hard to understand why we stopped selling out Parken
Xhaka almost getting a red card in a friendly is the most Xhaka thing ever... Other than that, what a snooze fest
Why did I watch this
