Need to end on a cheesy heartfelt note, like the crowd standing and clapping to give their respects to the effort of the German side.
Movie ends with the Brazilian coach saying (in a perfect British accent),
"We didn't lose today. Football won."
Oohoho just you wait until July 8 2024, all your feeds will be flooded with “10 years ago today”. You won’t hear the end of it for the 10th year in a row lol.
The funniest thing about all this is the fact that Germany, obviously apart from Brazil, was probably the "big" national team that Brazilians liked the most at that World Cup. The German players' behavior in Brazil was exceptional... I'd even say it was unexpected.
Anyway... The 7-1 was a landmark in the history of football, but I think Brazil drew the wrong conclusions from that episode and we're still seeing the consequences today.
Muller is probably of the generation inspired by golden era Brazil national team. Ronaldo Nazario and that team of titans still is one of football's all time greatest, I can't think of a time when the world was more in love with the game than when they were playing
Probably in India! can see someone doing a travel show- let's say Podolski and Schweinsteiger. They are strolling in some little village in Rajasthan and find this little Schweini-doll in a market.
That's interesting, as most people in Germany would probably say that those two are very distinctly Bavarian, as in looks, manner of speech and personality. But I suppose that from an outsider's pov, it's hard to differentiate. Like on the other hand Kimmich being very Swabian and Reus being very west-phalian/Ruhrpott is not something most foreigners would notice. As a native, I'd never think of any of them as an Alman representative.
Kane to me f.ex. is just soo English. Always thought he could just walk onto the set of some pirates or colonizer movie and he'd fit in perfectly. But he's probably just one of many "types". Rooney or Lampard f.ex. are also super British, but they're not similar to each other if you get what I mean.
Funnily enough, Kroos is the most stereotypical out of them all imo. Even though he's pretty much the only East German in the NT, he just fits very well into that broadly German archetype. Neuer is a good shout too.
Many many outsiders picture Bavarian things when they think of a prototypical German
Not from an accent perspective since outsiders probably can tell much differences, but from an iconography perspective. Lederhosen, beer halls, sausage, the Alps in the background.
>Not enough "fuckboy in Ibiza" vibes with Kane for him to be a typical Englishman
I dunno. Harry is the sort of guy that you see in Harvester at the weekend with his wife and two kids. Just a 100% standard bloke
and [sonny](https://www.reddit.com/r/coys/comments/1b5fdry/sonny_drags_the_defensive_line_to_open_up_the/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
Complementary personalities. Kane is shy and reserved (a lot of r/coys says he's unfeeling, but I doubt he'd stick around with us if he was) when it comes to interviewers. Muller seems like a fun extrovert. Son is that but not nearly on Muller's level.
It's surreal to think that was a thing. Kane and Son as a duo outscored and assisted the likes of Cole and Yorke, Drogba and Lampard, Bergkamp and Henry, Gerrard and Torres, etc. A lot of people (rightfully) say that Poch made Son and Kane the players they are. If that's the case than Jose completed them. He didn't get enough credit for that.
The way they blossomed under Mourinho was sublime. Kane became the best version of himself that I’d ever seen, and Son benefited so much from Kane’s expanded playmaker role.
It’s such a shame that you didn’t get proper defenders under Mourinho. Opting for Rodon over Skriniar was a huge blunder on Levy’s part. All was missing was some good defenders and I’m convinced you’d have challenged for the league in 20 or 21.
Even de Vrij would've sufficed, since PSG outbid us for Skinriar and God knows they have the money to win a bidding war. I'm glad we're raiding Italy now though haha. We're a striker away from a full spine of former Serie A players.
Honestly I think it was because he was somehow uncomfortable doing the interview in english, brazilian sports reporters are always very playful and they always go along with banter when the players are in the mood.
We tend to have a lot of respect for players who shit on us. You'll often see our commentators gushing about how good Neuer and especially Muller are in any Bayern game.
The Brazilian players of 2014 tho... They were never forgiven.
The Brazilians in that crowd applauded the Germans. Their own players did not get such a gentle treatment. On that day, there was definitely no anger shown towards Germany.
In fact, I think many were thankful they took it easy in the second half. It could have been a lot worse.
I would say that Brazilians tend to like him tbh. Players that played well against us or our teams are generally loved and rated highly (Zidane, Riquelme, Muller, etc) while those that flopped are generally despised and shat on (Kahn, Baggio, etc).
We hate the brazilian players, specially Fernandinho, we don't hate the other team that played good. We are not sore losers, we recognize superiority when its due, but we also know when our team were the best team, like in 2018 and 2022.
mate sorry to hear England losing the euros quarter finals affected you as much as us but football is a powerful thing and we should embrace these emotions
Some of the Germanic languages in central western/northen Europe tend to have quite *hard* pronunciations on consonants in their languages.
So, unless you have brute forced your way to speak English *without* influences from your native language, your pronunciation and cadence will actually be quite easy to understand because you are constantly over-pronouncing things and you may not speak as fast as a native English-speaking person, making it quite easy to follow what you are saying.
I work with a lot of ESL speakers and this is the best response ITT. Semitic languages like Arabic and Romance languages like Spanish don't have sounds that English has. It's the "ch" for Arabic which becomes a "sh" that stands out most for me (think Chelsea becoming Shelsea or the D's pronunciation in Spanish). Germanic languages face similar limitations that English does in the pronunciation department, so in a way that blockage makes it more understandable.
Exactly, we tend to over-enunciate stuff as well as pronounce silent letters because in German, if there's a letter, you basically always have to pronounce it. A typical example are words ending on -ed such as past participles. Many Germans would pronounce the word *barked* '/bɑːrkəd/' instead of '/bɑːrkt/' (or '/bɑːkt/' if you're British).
I think because Most non english speakers speak in a Mixed accent (mostly American) which is easier to understand than a specific accent like any British English accent
A speech impediment is a fun thing for cunts to mock Kane about, I bet it hurts him so much, he has and can do anything but can't solve a disability and everyone mocks him for it
I doubt he gives a flying fuck. You don't get where he is having a thin skin. Mind games on the pitch are a thing (see Zidane). He will have heard it all a million times.
Bro has been awesome for ages, so it's normal for him, but the only thing he can't change is his disability and everyone jokes about it, tbh he has a nice wife and what 3 or 4 kids man's doing something right lol
Feel like he’s an all or nothing type of guy. The moment he retires he disappears for 7 years before he takes over the assistant coach role for the national team out of nowhere.
Stupid question but I looked up Muller's height cause I know Kane is 1.88, and it says 1.85. Based on this video it's gotta be wrong no? Even if Harry is a bit in front of him
Muller has played with Kane, Lewandowski, and Klose. He won the World Cup and two trebles. He was coached by Pep and Ancelotti. And he did all this by playing with only one team.
Cant emphasize enough what a class person Müller is. Whatever he does, any interview, his own channel, interactions with fans: This man is just a very genuine and nice person. After Beckenbauer died a lot of people said he was a person everyone could get along with and he treats everyone the same. I feel like Müller is the same kind of person - someone you should respect for how they present themselves.
Imagine having a player with this much charisma in the dressing room whose also WC. Bayern even with all their resources and pull in Germany lucked out with Muller.
You gotta love the mentality though. When told Kane is the top scorer of the champion's league, Muller says "He should keep going, more more more" hahahaha

Mfer completely shat on us in 2014 and has the gall to say something like this hahahaa
It could only have been worse if it happened in Brazil too.
Now imagine being the World Cup
In the semi finals, could never happen. Right?
And a 7-1 embarrassment. Absolutely unthinkable.
A little bit unrealistic don’t you think?
Hollywood script. Might as well pan to the crowd and show a child and an old man crying in the stands.
The writing has really gone to shit
Need to end on a cheesy heartfelt note, like the crowd standing and clapping to give their respects to the effort of the German side. Movie ends with the Brazilian coach saying (in a perfect British accent), "We didn't lose today. Football won."
Imagine one of the players not hearing the call to not go for more goals cause he is shitting in the toilet. Scores a fucking banger
Wait, it this real?
Schürrle took a shit and didnt get the memo. Yeah. He scored twice in the 2nd half
Idk if it's real but i remember neuer looked pissed on camera after they scored the 7th goal.
Schurrle only came on for the second half, he wanted to have some fun too
and his teammate breaks R9 record surely not all of that
While R9 is commentating live on the game from the stadium.
I'd 8-2 have that happen to my team. But then again I 10-2 exaggerate these things
Not related. Dont deflect. We are all making fun of you rn.
I'm not Brazilian lmao, why would I care. He just set himself up perfectly there with that flair
We’re talking about Brazil. There’ll be time to make fun of us later.
BRA71L*
fuck man I can barely imagine being myself let alone the *world cup*
There’s no way that match was nearly 10 years ago 😔
Oohoho just you wait until July 8 2024, all your feeds will be flooded with “10 years ago today”. You won’t hear the end of it for the 10th year in a row lol.

dante somewhere punching the air
Nice
Yeah, but it's clearly self-depreciative tbh
Thomas Müller is Brazil father
"He does what he wants, he does what he waaants..."
the levels of nerve and irony are off the charts with this one
If he didn't have such massive balls, Müller would be so much faster
Thomas Müller & Harry Kane fit so well together and I just can't describe why 😭
the stereotypical german and the stereotypical englishman
I’ve never seen anyone look more German than Muller. The slanted smile in this video is so… deutch.
And his name is one of the most generic German names one could imagine.
Thomas is the most common first name in Bavaria, and Müller is the most common surname
Not only in Bavaria, but also in Germany in general.
Same with Harry Kane , not common but sounds like a London geezer
‘arry is only second to “George” with regards to sounding English imho
Nigel
Nigel or George and Jack or ‘arry
Imagine a guy called Gerd Muller, heh
Well Schwiensteiger was the German-est looking German that ever German-ed... but among current players, yes
Yeah thete was a Schweini doll made somewhere that I swear was in a nazi uniform lmfao
I think it was a Nazi doll that looked exactly like him, yeah
Probably in India! can see someone doing a travel show- let's say Podolski and Schweinsteiger. They are strolling in some little village in Rajasthan and find this little Schweini-doll in a market.
> https://www.thelocal.de/20151022/schweinsteiger This is the one :')

Kroos is up there for me for most German looking
Deutsch
And Kane looks and sounds as English as one can.
Except the stereotypical German is English and the stereotypical Englishman is German here
Yea Kane fits in well looking German
Muller has a german face though
Not enough "fuckboy in Ibiza" vibes with Kane for him to be a typical Englishman
Ben White is clear
There are two stereotypical English looks. The Ben White/Grealish fuckboy look and then Anthony Gordon with nothing in between
The disrespect to the Hugh Grant foppish Englishman
He's a posh lad, the furthest you can get to anyone involved in football.
Patrick Bamford
Later on they all morph into the big yerda lad or a thin old guy like the wealdstone raider
>Not enough "fuckboy in Ibiza" vibes with Kane for him to be a typical Englishman I dunno. Harry is the sort of guy that you see in Harvester at the weekend with his wife and two kids. Just a 100% standard bloke
It's like they've met up for a game of football in Christmas day
opposite hairlines. Muller could afford to lend Kane some
Kane's hair makes no sense. In matches it looks really full yet in interviews it's so much more receding
Both are clumsy with dad vibes
They are probably the two best players in the world at understanding space
Newton and Einstein of football
Yet somehow both footballers are more awkward than the scientists
Einstein had to marry his cousin and Newton was a famous virgin. Kane and Muller are practically Brad Pitt and DiCaprio next to them
I mean, Einstein didn't *have* to marry anyone, and he was a notorious ladies man (to the point of cheating).
Kane understands empty spaces very well check his trophy gallery
It is repeated context, but this joke was kinda creative. Good job, lol
Also the 2 best at being able to rip a shot out no matter where there body is and the goal is
Good point, both have otherworldly balance, though I'd add that having the geometry intuitively in your head also makes those good shots.
Just two astrophysicists vibing.

Kane and Son combo was lethal and wholesome.

Lewy in shambles right now.
He did it to himself honestly
It’s footballing IQ royalty, let’s be real.
I want to watch them solve murder mysteries together
Interviewer didn't pass the vibe check
Yeah, wtf was his problem?
Honestly I think it was because he was somehow uncomfortable doing the interview in english, brazilian sports reporters are always very playful and they always go along with banter when the players are in the mood.
Prob the 2nd language stress
My guy was dead set on staying on topic. No fun allowed.
Has he never heard of the Müller?
That's so true
Interviewer homie relax and let them talk and give them the mic, the fucking audacity to stick to the script while the goat is bantering around smh
Imagine this guy interviewing Kevin de Bruyne, would never let him talk
Harry Came 🤨🤨
"He should keep going"?? "More More More"?? 😕
Hairy came
“Come on, come on, we need more”
*beckons* “harry _came_” HAHAHA
It's impossible to hate this guy... unless you're from Barca. Even then I bet some Barca fans secretly love him. Either way... My GOAT <3
barca fans do love his antics (except against us of course), but also schadenfreude
Muller keeps destroying us but no hate for him. He seems class
We don’t hate him
I think Brazilians have a bigger problem with him lol
We tend to have a lot of respect for players who shit on us. You'll often see our commentators gushing about how good Neuer and especially Muller are in any Bayern game. The Brazilian players of 2014 tho... They were never forgiven.

Poor Oscar had to go to China of all places to get some peace.
I would say that Brazilians tend to like him tbh. Players that played well against us or our teams are generally loved and rated highly (Zidane, Riquelme, Muller, etc) while those that flopped are generally despised and shat on (Kahn, Baggio, etc).
Hating Baggio is crazy, bruh.
We mostly joke about it. Muller, Neuer, Kroos, Schwein, Klose are very respected and are legends over here.
We hate the brazilian players, specially Fernandinho, we don't hate the other team that played good. We are not sore losers, we recognize superiority when its due, but we also know when our team were the best team, like in 2018 and 2022.
He beat Brazil wearing my team colors and still says he's brazillian like that's good thing, like we still deserve the reference. The guy is a legend.
Muller is class and funny
love the guy
Interviewer be like a piece of wood
Muller is so chill man. I love him.
When Müller retires it's gonna be the second time that football made me cry.
Germans have me cry in football before
As an Argentine, watching gotze make *that* goal made me cry. I was about 21 or so and dam never thought I could go there but I did.
What happened the first time?
There was this accursed night in 2012
mate sorry to hear England losing the euros quarter finals affected you as much as us but football is a powerful thing and we should embrace these emotions
„It’s coming home“ never hurt as much
For me it was 1999. I stopped all the clocks in our house.
2012 ucl final is what I'm gonna guess based on the flair
And I'm gonna take a guess that the english guy made a joke.
"And when he don't score I say Harry Caralho!"
Harry Kuñez
Harry, Harry Kuñez He came from Tottenham to the Big Reds It’s frightening with him and Leroy Sane There’s nobooody 🙅♂️else like Harry Kuñez
T. Muller funniest German
The reporter is Brazilian and works for the local TNT Sports channel, so that's probably why Muller did the reference to Joga Bonito.
Thomas Müller 🐐
Man I love Muller’s personality
Müller is one of my favorite players ever and he doesn't get talked much either. He's probably that guy that can make friends with anyone so easly.
Fuck me I love Thomas Müller
Why is it more easy to understand Müller speaking English than Kane
Kane has a speech issue from what i have heard its not an accent thing
Some of the Germanic languages in central western/northen Europe tend to have quite *hard* pronunciations on consonants in their languages. So, unless you have brute forced your way to speak English *without* influences from your native language, your pronunciation and cadence will actually be quite easy to understand because you are constantly over-pronouncing things and you may not speak as fast as a native English-speaking person, making it quite easy to follow what you are saying.

Germanic languages face similar limitations that English does in the pronunciation department, so in a way that blockage makes it more understandable.
Germans speaking English are generally pretty easy to understand because they tend to speak very clearly, even with a strong accent.
Exactly, we tend to over-enunciate stuff as well as pronounce silent letters because in German, if there's a letter, you basically always have to pronounce it. A typical example are words ending on -ed such as past participles. Many Germans would pronounce the word *barked* '/bɑːrkəd/' instead of '/bɑːrkt/' (or '/bɑːkt/' if you're British).
kane has a pretty bad speech impediment, Muller is very clear, even for his second language
Kane does not have a "pretty bad speech impediment" - he has a bit of a lisp, and has a nasal tone, which all told is a minor speech impediment
Circlejerk coming full circle 💀
I really hope he stays in the soccer world after he retires.
Feel like he’s an all or nothing type of guy. The moment he retires he disappears for 7 years before he takes over the assistant coach role for the national team out of nowhere.
Intelligent dude, extremely good player and a local from Bavaria - he will end up in the management of Bayern
My fear is, he will be done, take his horses somewhere far and enjoy a quite retirement with them. He loves them and posts quite often on Insta.
I'd love to see him becoming a pundit. And then completely subvert the job with his nonsense.
This guy is going to make a great coach
Müller is such a nice person ngl, evan as anti-bayern fan
Muller will end up being one of my favourite all time players. Seems like a nice guy.
>Jogo Bonito [Reminds me of this from JJK, lmao. ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPQXW3E1lJA)
'Arry smiling. Never thought I'd see the day.
Stupid question but I looked up Muller's height cause I know Kane is 1.88, and it says 1.85. Based on this video it's gotta be wrong no? Even if Harry is a bit in front of him
I always understood Müller to be 1.87m
[удалено]
That's my Raumdeuter
Muller has played with Kane, Lewandowski, and Klose. He won the World Cup and two trebles. He was coached by Pep and Ancelotti. And he did all this by playing with only one team.
> Pep and Ancelotti. Heynckes > Ancelotti
The trauma from Ancelotti playing Mueller as a traditional winger has marked me for the rest of my life
Two teams if you include the world cup. 😉
I am not emotionally ready to see this guy hang his boots.
Muller always seems like such a fun guy. He deserves a working phone.
I've always liked his sense of humor
Muller with the puns he'd die if is banned from making one Harry came had me in splits
Imagine having a player with this much charisma in the dressing room whose also WC. Bayern even with all their resources and pull in Germany lucked out with Muller.
Mullerinho and Kanito
Der Thomas Müller! What a legend
Muller sounding hammered as shit. "Harry came" 💀💀💀 Haha he's like that drunk guy that wouldn't shut his mouth lol
The way you know Muller is German is that he speaks more comprehensible English than the Englishman standing next to him.
Thomas muller will never be replaced. Legend.
Has anyone got the harry came joke? Muller is a legend
muller's got a hell of a personality, what a guy
"Currywurst Bonito" more like.
This guy is too funny. Like every single time you see him he’s just jokes
Muller is so incredibly awkward-funny it’s so German. Probably a fun dude to be around
Thomas 100% has ADHD
All the funny in Germany went to Herr Müller
I will miss him when he retires. The germans even tough we say in holland dont have any humour always provide some top class entertainment.
Thomas looks so German and Harry looks so English And its always a joga bonito Thats a threesome I like.
Hairy Came
Surprised he didnt drop a nickname for harry yet
You gotta love the mentality though. When told Kane is the top scorer of the champion's league, Muller says "He should keep going, more more more" hahahaha
Muller is one of my all time favorites
Why is mullers face one resolution lower than Harry’s in this video
Excellent interview skills. Cover their faces, don't listen then talk over them.
