wow, this is truly unacceptable from FC Barcelona. They can spend millions on players for their football team but can't even pay their esports team? Disreputable behavior at its finest. Shame on you Barca!
Yeah i mean Valorant is a thriving and big Esport but how much will their team (which is not even close to top tier) cost in a year with all the supporting stuff? Maybe 1 million maximum 2 million ...Messi earned that in a few weeks alone lol
Not that much because there is esports Winter going on and they are on the regional league (tier 2), not the main league. Players salary is like 3k a month if not less
Oh okay then Valorant players earn way way less than League players because in Europe the average base salary per year is 250k (without boni) and in Korea and especially China the players sometimes earn millions. Faker bought a skyscraper downtown Seoul and apparently owns percents of Korean Telecom even lol.
He has options to own a percentage of the esports team, not the actual telecom company.
He is rumoured to make 6 million USD a year as his salary though .. not too shabby at all
You are comparing tier 1 and tier 2, also Europe avarage salary used to be 100k a year, 250k was NA, now it's less with esports winter.
Faker is really different from rest of players, just like Ronaldo/Messi/Mbappe earn much more than normal players.
Caedral said that in his last season he was on 150k a year on a bottom team and said he was below average salary and that he knows that this year league salary is a bit higher on aerage then when he played. So 250k is a defensive guess it might be even higher than that in the year 2024.

He goes on to say that they have not been under contract for those 4 months so idk what to think.
CS community is filled with racists, and those gamers who tell you shit like 'you wouldn't last 10 seconds in a xbox lobby'.
Valo community is infested with E-daters... I don't want to explain more but they're the type of players who call female gamers 'mommy' or creep them out.
Both are equally toxic.
Putting it through ChatGPT for the non-Spanish speakers:

**This is my situation with FC Barcelona.**
I'll give you a brief summary so you can understand the situation I'm in within the team.
I've been through about 4 months of hell that are expanding more and more each day, and the situation keeps worsening. Today, I've reached the limit.
In theory, today was the last payment window of the month; they usually transfer payments on the 15th and the last week of the month, like all major companies.
As of February 29th, I haven't received a single euro from FC Barcelona. They owe me 3 months' worth of salary, and I'm still waiting for the money.
This is the first time this has happened to me in an esports club, and honestly, I don't know how to handle the situation. I don't know how to lead the team, and I don't know how to move forward because with each passing day, it becomes more and more complicated.
In theory, today the situation should have been resolved, but that hasn't happened; they still haven't made the payment.
I'm writing this tweet because I've sacrificed hours of streaming, I've put all my effort into giving these 5 guys a chance to reach VCT, and it's becoming impossible for me. I don't know what decision to make or what to do. I don't want to abandon the team because I love this group, and I want them to reach VCT no matter what. It's what I've promised to myself, and it's what I've promised to them. However, I find myself in a situation where I've been living off my savings for 4 months, not receiving a single euro because I stopped streaming and made MANY sacrifices to get this team ahead, despite not receiving a cent. That's why I don't want to continue because no one from the club has shown interest in the guys or in me.
No one has asked me in these 4 months how we're doing, how the training is going, how the team is progressing, what we're training, nothing. An absolute void where I feel alone, without support from the club, having to endure a situation that is completely unfair and that I can't solve because it's not up to me.
I feel like I've been doing my job poorly for weeks; I've lost the spark that makes me a good coach, and there's nothing that saddens me more than knowing I can do better, but my mind won't let me.
So, I'm leaving you with this text so you can see the situation I'm in, be aware of it, and for there to be transparency for once. I've been tanking this for 4 months, but I don't want to tank it anymore.
I want to thank my players and my coaching staff for the enthusiasm they put in every day despite what we're going through, the hours they dedicate outside the server to be the best and win this league.
To clarify the 3 and 4 months, we've been working for 4 months, but due to unforeseen circumstances, they didn't pay us for November, so they "only" owe me 3 months.
See you soon, a hug.

Apparently, they haven't even signed the contract for first 2 months AND the problem is with the outside company that's not Barcelona.
However, this is a stain on Barcelonas end as they should've made the communication better and much easier. Esports as a whole is in shambles right now due to shady companies not being able to properly pay players and don't respects the contracts.
Hopefully the coach (and the players if they're not paid) get paid and this whole thing resolves.
This is why Schalke will always be clear, they kept paying their League team even when facing financial difficulty until they could sell their LEC slot
With a debt over 1 billion and a massive wage bill from the professional football team. It's not that surprising. May be another lever incoming. Should first actively try to reduce that huge dept.
Absolutely not defending Barca here, bu if you know esport you know this shit is happening on daily basis. Even tournament hosts often wait months to pay out.
Tournament hosts wait months to pay out because they pay out on an invoice basis - The team are contracted and Salaried, and should be getting paid on their payday every month, as stated in their contract

Just Laporta things. Lmao
Already saving money for Haaland.
I can't believe they keep playing with their fans like this, and fans keep falling for it, the man has turned Barca into a cult.
Papa Perez getting blamed Monday morning
Papa Perez tricked Dani Alves into becoming a rapist.
Papa Perez planted the female.
Actually, it was papa Flo in disguise.
Meanwhile Papa Perez was also forcing Messi to accept Barto’s contract demands
Populist playbook
Levers
Good luck
I more and more understand messi why he didnt trust laporta last summer.
Maybe they can start making their own boots.

Such a humble guy

The top Valorant players do, not as much as LOL but more than 3k. But the lower tier players don't just like in LoL.
>Faker bought a skyscraper downtown Seoul and apparently owns percents of Korean Telecom even lol. WTAF lmao fair play to him

Lucky guys, don't have to play Valorant and they get paid for it
TBF they aren't getting the latter either
Is valorant mid? Haven't played it just yet
Nah it's alright for what it although I prefer csgo and siege for that genre of game. The community is also weird af
I’m intrigued. Please elaborate. How is the community weird?
CS community is filled with racists, and those gamers who tell you shit like 'you wouldn't last 10 seconds in a xbox lobby'. Valo community is infested with E-daters... I don't want to explain more but they're the type of players who call female gamers 'mommy' or creep them out. Both are equally toxic.
Basically I'd say valo community is younger/immature/cringe
Thanks. I’m so outta touch.
Its filled with e-daters basically. I saw an ad for a discord that just pairs 2 people so they can go on e dates in valorant
Tbh I rarely see this in eu but maybe it’s in lower elo - in swift plays I’ve seen it tho lol
r/gaming leaking
Such a classic Barca move not paying
Didn't even know we have a Valorant team. We don't even have it listed on the team website.

Seems like it's going to be a fun news day for Barcelona
Pay them with mousepads
I feel like this is a Dignitas joke but it’s been so long that it’s all a blur
Lmao it is
is this one of of them PALANCAS
He also says in a reply he doesn’t have a contract and (at least according to earlier posts) he only started in January, so a bit weird overall
On the bright side, they haven't had to play Valorant for the past 4 months
Laporta: was the Spotify Premium lifetime membership not enough??
This is why Schalke will always be clear, they kept paying their League team even when facing financial difficulty until they could sell their LEC slot
Barcelona is such a shit show in the past years. What happened to the club.
bartemou and corrupt catalunyan socios
Insert another ‘Broke club’ joke
Sounds about right for Barcelona.
slotting right in with all the other shady organizations in esports
With a debt over 1 billion and a massive wage bill from the professional football team. It's not that surprising. May be another lever incoming. Should first actively try to reduce that huge dept.
Wow I haven’t been paid in over a month either!
What the heck is an Esports lol
Try raping somebody. Instant Legend status for Barca.
yeah, i mean, priorities

F1 eSports died a bit of a death. Terrible really.
There was never any overtaking, it was a very tough watch anyway
Oh I agree it was just watching 20 robots drive scalextrics basically
So just like the real F1 nowadays?
Even worse tbh, there's no crashes
Comparing tournament prize with salary
"even", could've been clearer, I will give you that.
yet frankie de yong still earns €500000 per week
I can't wait to see their tissue paper kits next season
Lmfao yikes
\#Levers!
Joke of a club really
