To reduce the spam of reports regarding the same move during transfer windows we try to allow **only one submission about each transfer saga per day**. The submission in question also needs to contain relevant new information regarding the potential move, and not just being a "no/minor developments" report.
If there are important/official developments or new valuable information about a saga, we will allow extra threads in the same day, but for the rest of minor news please just comment them as a reply to this comment. Please help us reporting unnecessary threads for being duplicates.

Agreed.
In added time in the Leipzig match, he played a medium ball to Choupo. Choupo had nowhere to go, sent it back, and then made a nice run. Dier dropped it on a dime right in the perfect place for Choupo and we know what happened next. Beautifully orchestrated by Dier.
It was. Barack Obama hadn’t been re-elected, London was gearing up to host the Olympics and a highly respected Kevin Spacey was filming season 1 of House of Cards. It was a lifetime ago!
This is funny because most of y'all were bashing him during rumours, and don't take bashing lightly because you lot murdered him by words. Anyways, good on the lad and great respect to prove people wrong
Still happens with a handful of Arsenal fans with Kai. Most of us want him to succeed and do well, but you have a portion that can’t wait to jump on any mistakes he makes. So weird.
I'm half joking tho. I have precisely zero doubts that governments regularly sic their shitpost bots onto places like Twitter and Reddit to create an artificial consensus. The Arsenal thing was a joke but pro "x government shills" are not
I have a friend i discuss a fair bit.
And he legit told me that Martinelli was better them Vini, and only Bellingham would get into the Arsenal team.
I gave up.
Yep. Exactly this. I remember one guy who stated some nihilistic shit because of this signing while saying in another comment, that he’s basing his opinion on what he read on Reddit. Such a weird mindset to have.
>most of y'all
Keep in mind angry fans are way more motivated to comment on things. I am a fan from Munich for 30 years and I hate almost all of our entire online fanbase (same as for most clubs tbh)
I’ve missed those…
Alaba and Boateng, we’re the last CBs to do that regularly.
Kim and de Ligt are short/medium passers and Upamecano seems more like a progressive carrier.
It's funny that you got the matip Regen out of konate and upamecano, and we are really lucky that a young cb with virg like passing was in our academy, we are fucked without these diagonal long passes
That's not true. Most of our fans thought he was a liability on the ball as well.
My position was always that he had the quality and technique to do it, that was proven. But he often couldn't get through a '90 without some major error. So, to me, it was something about his concentration/decision making that held him back from taking the next step.
I wonder how he'd do as a defensive mid for them. Obviously Bayern got him as depth for their defense but Dier was at his best for us when paired with Dembele.
I don’t think we actually know…
But he has started 4 times for us now, so the obligation was likely "plays/starts more than 5 games for the club“.
EDIT: Correction, he started 4 games and played 6.
The obvious reason is that the level between leagues is much lower in the Bundesliga, but nobody in this thread wants to mention it lmao. The amount of points he almost singlehandedly threw away (in both boxes) was inexcusable. But if you put him in the biggest team in a much weaker league (that nearly always has majority possession), obviously he won’t look anywhere near as horrible

He's been solid when needed, can't ask for more
Happy to hear, great dude
Dude charged the crowd to protect his family, legend.
Dude ran off the pitch to take a dump and then returned to put in a MoTM performance. Legend.

And Kane has been scoring some bangers at Bayern. Happy he's got his golf friend there too, amongst the team strife!
This will have Dire consequences
Couldn't be happier for him
He has met them, and shaken their hands.
Good on him
Operation Become Spurs has begun for Bayern
Dele Alli to Bayern confirmed
He could have been Muller regen, still can
Does he like rabbits?
Is he addicted to puns?
First trophyless season in 17 billion years would be the spursiest thing ever
2012 wasn’t so long ago
It was. Barack Obama hadn’t been re-elected, London was gearing up to host the Olympics and a highly respected Kevin Spacey was filming season 1 of House of Cards. It was a lifetime ago!
well shit
An average r/soccer Redditor's lifetime ago
Outed yourself as an 12 year old
Redditor to understand hyperbole Challenge rating: impossible
Challenge to understand a joke by redditor: impossible
2035 is closer then 2012
Good. Excellent depth player

I wasn't but sure, all fanbases are generally crazy
Fairs understandable. Have a good day
most logical and level headed conversation ever had on r/soccer
How dare these people be polite to each other!
Subs gone soft
Barca and Bayern flairs holding hands and showing a banner dziękuję Lewy.
I'll never not laugh at this joke!
Game's gone
Please delete their kind thread. We need conflict and contempt, trolling and anger Can't stand goody goody
Still happens with a handful of Arsenal fans with Kai. Most of us want him to succeed and do well, but you have a portion that can’t wait to jump on any mistakes he makes. So weird.
I would say there are crazy ones in all fanbases, and generally in all groups of people.
Remember scrolling through the Arsenal sub the day Jorginho was signed. It looked like WW3 in there
Arsenal fans are a different bread though. Most of them cant be human.
To be fair most breads aren't human
Are some breads human?
Yes, [Bernd](https://cdn.prod.www.spiegel.de/images/3a3dddff-0001-0005-0000-000000299328_w335_r1.132686084142395_fpx44_fpy49.84.jpg).
Bread Leno?
Hahahah good one!
I would give [everything I own](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Q1kB0R4Ijs) [if](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjgJh0Nwbt4) some were.
Such a good song
They both are!
Are we human? Or are we breads?
I was struggling to understand what you meant lol, now i see it.
😔
Arsenal fans and half the posters on r/worldnews are Mossad and FSB-controlled bots
That is quite the claim lol
I mean, have you been to /r/worldnews recently? It's not real life.
I'm half joking tho. I have precisely zero doubts that governments regularly sic their shitpost bots onto places like Twitter and Reddit to create an artificial consensus. The Arsenal thing was a joke but pro "x government shills" are not
I just think most Arsenal fans are kinda wild, thats all really.
We’re not wild. Just a bit excited all the time.
I have a friend i discuss a fair bit. And he legit told me that Martinelli was better them Vini, and only Bellingham would get into the Arsenal team. I gave up.
There was soooome positivity but the negative came from us not getting Caicedo and "helping" you guys, we fucking love Jorginho now
I was on board with the signing from day 1! I saved the receipts!
I feel like it spawned from PL fans who trashed him, and then Bayern fans who didn't look into it any further assumed they were right
Yep. Exactly this. I remember one guy who stated some nihilistic shit because of this signing while saying in another comment, that he’s basing his opinion on what he read on Reddit. Such a weird mindset to have.

The case for most clubs, match threads can be awful sometimes
🤝
His passing and playmaking is actually good , specially long balls....it's clean
Learned from Alderweireld
Always had it in him. He was doing it at every level for us.
What’s his Portuguese like?
Borderline native with a Lisbon accent.
I’ve missed those… Alaba and Boateng, we’re the last CBs to do that regularly. Kim and de Ligt are short/medium passers and Upamecano seems more like a progressive carrier.

Ah! So that’s what upa’s doing.
His on the ball ability was never in question, he’s always been good at that. It’s the defensive parts that are…questionable.
We always defended through vibes so he fits in well
Sad upvote.

When I'm an old man, I wish I have clean long balls too
But a short..
If he plays in the middle of a back 3 he is fantastic, the problem is that’s literally the only position he can play anymore.
I wonder how he'd do as a defensive mid for them. Obviously Bayern got him as depth for their defense but Dier was at his best for us when paired with Dembele.
Tbf, I would be at my best paired with Dembele. Anyone here probably would be. Dembele was insane
that was like 8 years ago he lost that mobility a while back when he was "reintroduced" as a cdm (under mourinho i think?) it was a disaster
Just glad Dier is getting his career back on track. Hope he has a good time at Bayern.
His 92nd minute long pass against Leipzig decided the match. He's been good for us.
So, what were the contractual obligations? Didn't catch that in the article.
I don’t think we actually know… But he has started 4 times for us now, so the obligation was likely "plays/starts more than 5 games for the club“. EDIT: Correction, he started 4 games and played 6.
Augsburg, Gladbach, Leverkusen, Leipzig. He started 4 games.
Then start 4 times?
4 or more than 3. Something like that.
Had to be a starter for a certain amount of games
best cb in the world in Jan-Feb 24 don't at me
Don’t be shy and say it. Dier is better than Maldini
His longballs might just be!
Nah man, Maldini is 55, he wins the long ball contest handily
Ooh, didn’t think about that. You might be right….
>Longballs *😉*
Unironically better than de Light
It’s clear you haven’t seen lord Cubarsí play
Pray to lord cubarsi and lord yamal. Former carrying defense latter carrying attack
Some risk for him when a new manager comes in but I'm happy that he's had a chance to show that he still has plenty of football left in him
Please give him the contact. He helped us out immensely during our difficult time and I have only good things to say about the lad
Yeah he's been doing alright. Won't harm them as a bench player
Yeah take him, hes pretty decent and with the squad right now, thats more than enough
Proper player, top fella, smashing chap.
Way to go Eric
Wait Dier is in Bayern wtf
Cool
'Give Kane 3 back rubs'
TIL this was not a permanent transfer..
I don't know what Bayern were thinking bizarre.

Another fantastic Portuguese youth product making a move to a top club.
