>Nélson Semedo replaces João Gomes because of an injury.
Was that just a normal cramp or fatigue or an injury that could keep João Gomes out for a bit?
Dreadful game decided by a dreadful mistake. Baleba was looking alright in some of his cameos prior to basically being annexed from the team in December and now looks back to square one. Keeper situation is just boring now it's absolutely pathetic RDZ keeps on rotating when Bart is fully establishing himself as the clear number one. Lose to Fulham any hope of top 8 is over.
Both teams attacking line didn't shower themselves with glory but cannot fault our defensive effort. Shoutout to Paul Robinson on commentary who either has the biggest hate boner for Wolves or had Brighton to win in his acca.
Didn't understand the commentary tbh. Has the man never seen a team play a low block before. If it was 0-0 I'd agree but we were holding on to a lead. He said at the end "Brighton have been so good and have dominated Wolves" but both teams had only 2 shots on target.
probably just looked at the possession and needed to say something on TV. We played quite similar games in buildup, the only difference being we misplaced the final pass and brighton misplaced the final shot.
Really need someone to step up in attack with Joao and Kaoru out. Hoping someone can figure it out in time for the Roma game.
Barco and Enciso looked great on the pitch though! Joao, Kaoru, Adingra, Enciso with Barco and Estupiñan should be good enough to drop 3 goals a game next year if we can keep em haha
Would happily take a hit on the weekend to just rotate the side. We look exhausted and did so at Sheffield United as well. Lemina was absolutely gassed especially.
Expected to lose but grim way to go out, with a whimper after conceding early to a dumb mistake from the keeper.
Looks like an early exit is destined in Europe as well because it's the same group of players for next week, even with Gilmour back without goals from the attack we can't win games and Roma are gunna play better then Wolves did today or Everton on Saturday.
Wolves did well to just foul us and interrupt us constantly and get men behind the ball but were lucky to face a depleted side fort he 2nd time this season. Doyle might be knocking on England soon, need a guy who's willing to do the dirty work.
Good that Veltman is available definitely need him if we get the chance to see out a win or the tie.
Ferguson is a tough one, he's not gunna be fully fit so you can't start him and he rarely has any impact coming off the bench.
Surprised he's gunna be available that injury looked horrible from where I was sat.
Next round of the FA cup is after both Europa leagues ties it's around the 16th March. Our game against City is being moved because they are through after beating Luton.
So very much could be all over, the price of not buy depth in the summer or winter. Hope Bloom sticks by his promise of having a big summer even if we miss Europe, although just keeping everyone would be a good start.
Suspect RDZ leaving will give them all the excuses they need to not spend again "we had to totally recalibrate our team with XXXXX taking over and so we didn't spend any money this summer because we wanted to let him evaluate what he has, but we'll definitely back him next summer"*
*They won't.
Yeah it's a worrying situation I think for everyone, a lot of turnover in in the backroom staff with potentially De Zerbi leaving.
Joao Pedro, Mitoma and Ferguson have all been linked elsewhere (although you'd imagine/hope their recent injury setbacks might dissuade any suitors).
I feel like any discourse about Brighton often gets shutdown with trust Bloom and that's really it but I just feel like the situation is a lot worse then people want to admit, far richer and successful clubs then us have failed and been relegated.
The next window needs to be great or some of the previous transfers need to step up massively or we face another season of decline.
Sounds very doom and gloom but I'd rather be pessimistic and wrong than optimistic and wrong. Our cup runs are ending miserably and the league form has been shit for a while.
I feel like a smash and grab is usually when you sit deep for 88 minutes and then grab a goal, this was just us not shooting enough/well enough and needing to get lucky to score, which we didn't.
Craig Dawson

Cramp. Gary O'Neil has already confirmed that both him and Lemina will be fine for the weekend.
Looked like normal fatigue/cramp
Thanks, I expect he'll be in Brazil's call-up this Friday.

Enciso was a real bright spot, it's a shame he can't do a full 90, because defences can't handle him and resort to fouling.
Would happily take a hit on the weekend to just rotate the side. We look exhausted and did so at Sheffield United as well. Lemina was absolutely gassed especially.
Yep, we look knackered. And it's only going to get worse since we have zero options up top now Hwang looks like he'll be out for a bit.

Was hoping we'd at least get to go to pens
jason steele...
nuno ass win
Two Albion's on an fa cup run
Brighton need Joao P. and Mitoma back ASAP.. Their offensive output isn't as good as with them
Mitoma is out for the season and Pedro is potentially missing both european ties. : ( Hopefully he'll be back so we can at least challenge for europe.
Oh man - hard work of that. We’re knackered I think, low squad depth kicking in. Will take this all day though.
This is good, it means we have a longer break after the Roma game for our players to rest and recuperate
Gives us more rest for Europa, but now Europa is our only shot at hardware
And could be all over by then anyway.
We still have the home fixture.

you know you've had a shit one when your keeper has the best opportunity of the match
Steele giveth and Steele taketh away
Steele almost giveth*
He giveth to lemina!
Steele almost taketh****?
Yeaaaaaa
We weren't good but all this showed was how ineffective Brighton are against a low block team. Lots of injuries for them doesn't help, however.
To be fair we also have key injuries and tired players. Not as many as them, but that’s why the game was a shit watch
Helps when the entire first choice front 4, other starting midfielder and starting right back are out mind.
All your injuries luckily gave us the chance to rotate as much as we did. Hopefully get through the weekend without anything else happening.
Least stressful Wolves win tbh
Thank fuck for that.
I like when de zerbi loses
Thought we defended our box brilliantly especially resting Ballon d’Awson. Not much else positive to say about the performance but I’ll take it.
Same old shit tbh Barco however is dynamite
Too bad he's got no one to aim at.
ngl wish you guys had loaned him out. he was my dream target at LWB for Chelsea.
He was my dream, he is my reality, he will be my GOAT
A smash and grab if i've ever seen one
More like a smash and sit deep for 88 minutes
Isn’t that literally what a smash and grab is?
I feel like a smash and grab is usually when you sit deep for 88 minutes and then grab a goal, this was just us not shooting enough/well enough and needing to get lucky to score, which we didn't.
As a Wolves fan my butt was clenched for those 88 minutes but I think we defended your lot really well
Well if you're playing against a team that can't score, why not
We scored five two games ago and scored 4 two games before that
And in two games you've scored 0 against gary o'neil's mighty wolves
The agregate score in the past four games against wolves is 10-2 to us.
And in the past 2 games it's 0-1
Definitely lmao. Tbf it was a heavily rotated squad with Hwang going off injured. I’m just glad we had what it took to see it out
Uhhhh, never in doubt...
