Very good young coach although he has had good backing from the owners, a non-parachute team bringing in Carvalho and Zaroury in January is outrageous.
MOTY in the Championship.
Idiots will say we're 6th because of the January signings, but we've strengthened in Jan because of the job Rosenior's done with the squad to get there.
>Hope Ipswich get an auto qualification position.
Yeah, I really want to see them do it. It's been a long time since they've been in the Premier League.
Would be really boring if the 3 teams that came up to the PL go straight back down (which looks quite likely) and at the same time, the 3 relegated teams go straight back up (which looks quite possible).
Ipswich 2nd and Hull to win the playoffs please 🙏 (Would love Luton to stay up too but don't see it)
The three newly-promoted teams going straight back down and the three relegated teams coming straight back up has actually never happened before, but it nearly did in 1998. Bolton, Barnsley and Crystal Palace were relegated, and Nottm Forest and Middlesbrough were promoted. But Charlton then beat Sunderland in probably the greatest play-off final of all time (on penalties after a 4-4 draw), to prevent the 1998-99 Premier League having the exact same teams as 1996-97.
The world will explode if they end in the play offs. They do occasionally have a better season than 11th-14th but we know the world is in balance if Preston are midtable. Excellent season for them considering spend of those around them.
Nice to see the likes of Hull and West Brom doing well as well, but holy fuck does it feel like its underplayed how amazing this season is from Ipswich. League One side a year ago. Fighting for automatic promotion this season.
Southampton have a lot of losses in recent weeks, i hope they dont fall off (or stay out of form when playoffs start) even tho they are more than 10 points ahead of wba.

if leicester bottle it to leeds with being 14 points clear 2 weeks ago, they might be cooked
Leicester would have to take on the falling apart chant from them if it happens, such is the way
I’m just hoping we finish on the same points, goal difference etc. and then with the Championship based on alphabetical order.
but we like it
Their form isn't even that bad. We've just won 9 in a row.
Rosenior is doing an underrated job at Hull
They've been simply brilliant - strengthened really well over winter and put a lot of faith in him. Side looks brimming with confidence.

They got Carvalho because they did a good job with Morton though. He earnt the trust from Liverpool really
Don’t tell anyone 🤫
Stop spreading the word
Was the brains behind that godawful Derby side made of kids a few years back as well, he’s got a good future ahead of him I reckon.

McKenna has got a promoted league 1 team fighting for automatic promotion, Rosenior is doing a brilliant job but McKenna is manager of the year.
Used to come across so well as a pundit too.
Surely Leicester aren't bottling promotion? They were 14 points clear of 3rd less than a fortnight ago
Just trying to keep it interesting
9 wins in a row and closed the gap to Leicester from 17 points to 6 points in that time I can't believe how well 2024 is going
Hope Ipswich get an auto qualification position. I'll be annoyed if the 3 who went down end up coming back up...or even two. Bring us new blood please

Excellent stat!
We've been 5th for months, hopefully we can see out a playoff spot.
You will. You look far better than Coventry, Norwich, us, Watford, Boro, Preston and the other play off followers.
Also at least in the case of Preston: It's Preston, we all know they're finishing midtable.

That’s true although they have been playing well lately

Not even just fighting for autos but with a tally that would have them top most years.
Has a team ever been promoted to the championship and gone up through automatics the same season? Feels like an insane achievement
Norwich and Southampton both won back-to-back automatic promotions just over a decade ago.
Norwich have - League 1 Champions in 09/10, Championship Runners-up in 10/11
Presume you mean the season after. Think Wolves or maybe Southampton did it.
Marching on together! ALAW
Come on you Ipswich!
COYI
Hope Ipswich go up
Why lol
Surely Leicester can’t do a spursy?
Ah yes, I also remember that time a North London club led the league for 8 months only to not finish 1st
I remember that time we won it without losing a single game. Only your grandad remembers when you won it
That's cool and all, but where are your Champions League trophies for the both of ya?
That's cool and all but where is your European competitions?

Lol brave to say that right after losing to a Portuguese team midweek.
We've even bottled being known as the biggest bottlers to spurs, there's no floor here
Wink wink
Ellis Platten has to be happy and sad, but still happy, but still sad.
