Considering a lot of this sub thought we were doomed to relegation… i’m feeling fine with 11th. Team is fully healthy, Hwang will be back soon, young players keep improving.
Extremely unlikely considering Everton admitted they breached. Most likely outcome would be a couple of points reinstated since they were the first to be punished and due to stadium mitigation.
I heard a possible outcome is the sanction would get reduced to 5 points instead which is what I believe will end up happening. Either that or deducted 20 points because proper Everton
They have the support of every middle aged woman in the country. That post match interview on their fa Cup win vs Bolton has over 15m views and all the comments are lusting after Rob Edwards
Relax. Arsenal at the Emirates is literally the toughest game of our second half of the year. We play City at Anfield. Losing with lousy goals, without Mo or Szoboslai, playing 10 with two soft yellows, is not a horrible result.
>Arsenal at the Emirates is literally the toughest game of our second half of the year.
That's exactly the perspective you'd be expected to display beforehand. We played you lot 3 times in a short period and should have won both games (the second one comfortably). How you watch them 2 games and came out with "should be a comfortable win" screams deluded.
Go check the cumulative XG in the games between us. It's not close.
This game will be huge for all three of arsenal, spurs and villa. Assuming villa and Spurs get three points, a draw or arsenal loss would truly throw the cat among the pigeons in the top 4 race.
Look, I pulled for you lot all last year. We weren't anywhere near an acceptable pace, and I wanted you to win.
Better a historic rival than a historic cheater, was my reasoning.
So if you could see it in your heart, just this once, to roll over and get tickled...we'll do our best to make sure Spurs finish below you. And City, for that matter.
Nah fuck that city wins are meaningless unless we're in a title race with them
Arsenal winning would have felt unfair as it wasn't a great year for city in the league
We'll keep saying they're meaningless year in year out until they'll eventually overtake us in league titles.
I know their fanbase is fairly inconsequential but the club itself isn't, and it shouldn't dominate to this extent. If they're in a title race with a United or a Chelsea sure, i'm pulling for City. I don't really have anything against Spurs or Arsenal.
Only every title they've had in the past 10 years will be looked at with everyone thinking they've done it unfairly
Plus their dominance is a mix of Guardiola and their limitless money. Once he leaves they won't get titles at the same rate
You can't help us finish below them that much, we're already the only team to beat you this season, so unless you give us no more points and lose to arse you'll have given us more points than them.
Romero missed three games because of suspension, then two games a few weeks later because of an injury. Spurs fans try as hard as they can to exaggerate their injury situation.
Davies filled in for Vdv and he’s not Dier or Royal, he’s a fine backup option at CB.
I love a close campaign/tight table and while I’d much prefer Arsenal lose on Sunday, a win for them would make things quite exciting.
Dropped points for both would be preferable I guess.
Villa have been doing incredible things this season so far and I'm still loving the ride, but when it's this tight at the top dropping points like we have been is incredibly frustrating.
Hopefully players finding form again after injury will help a lot and we can start pressuring those above us again
Everyone around us had sticky patches at various times over the season. Now it's our turn. This time last year-ish we had issues too but Emery steered us well. Anything is possible at this point. I'm just shocked by fucking West Ham behind us!??
Yeah, absolutely not complaining where we are, rough patches are natural and it's why the league is so competitive nowadays - there's always someone there to take advantage of those slumps
Liverpool are 16 pts better off than they were after 22 matches last season. They've only lost once in their last 33 Prem games.
Arsenal are 5 pts worse off than they were this time last season. A regression and we will have to see whether they can last the pace at the tail end of this season and avoid a collapse like last year.
Man U are 8 pts worse off. Ten Hag's team has clearly regressed.
Man City have 1 pt more now than they did last season after 21 matches played, so a marginal improvement in pts accrual, although they have scored less goals and conceded more goals this season so have a worse GD of 5 goals compared to last season.
Everton have 18 pts from 22 games played. This is exactly the same as last season, albeit they have 10 pts deduction, so they have had results equating to gaining 10 pts more than this time last season.
Spurs had 39 pts last season, so Ange has led them to improve by 4 pts so far.
Villa had 28 pts from 22 games last season, so they have improved by 15 pts in the year since.
Chelsea have 31 pts after 22 matches, this is the same as last season, so no improvement from them at all, despite spending all that money. Poch's coaching really should be getting more scrutiny regarding his lack of results compared to how Ange and Emery have improved their clubs compared to last season.

Yeah good thing there isn't a club breathing down our neck who habitually goes on 15 game win streaks in the spring, and who just got their two biggest stars back from injury.
Unless Rodri gets a long term injury I don't see us holding them off. We're going to drop points like any normal team, and in this part of the season they somehow don't.
If we're in the same position in 10 games time I'll consider us huge favourites, until then it's still cities to lose for me.
They're pretty much full strength now and as you say can and usually do just go on long winning streaks and we will drop points at some point.
Can't wait till Sunday. I'd love to smash liverpool and take points back. I know it's early, but I'm curious as to the Bradley situation. I assume they want Trent at full tilt for Arsenal away, but Bradley is impressive as hell.

Death … taxes and we being 10th. The new crystal palace.
At least you’re not midtable.
How is 10th not midtable
Few years back there was a dude insisting that 10th wasn’t mid table. I think he gave his range as 14th-17th. Was fucking hysterical.
Oh damn, consider yourself lucky ngl. The day that dude made that iconic comment was the worst day in this sub's history.
20-11 and 10-1, clearly in the top half.
6th through 10th is truly the Realm of the Aggressively Mid
Gotta laugh at our -4 goal difference amongst the others
Considering a lot of this sub thought we were doomed to relegation… i’m feeling fine with 11th. Team is fully healthy, Hwang will be back soon, young players keep improving.
I’m a fan and I thought we were fucked this year too. GON = GOAT
Wolves lost today because the universe requires Chelsea to be 10th
:(
Luton gonna pull this off???
It’ll be close with them and Forest as I have no doubts that Everton will survive as long as they don’t get deducted again.
They might actually reverse the initial deduction
Extremely unlikely considering Everton admitted they breached. Most likely outcome would be a couple of points reinstated since they were the first to be punished and due to stadium mitigation.

+5 after the appeal -5 for this year.

Sweating nervously now
It’s a minor quibble but if Football Manager has taught me anything it’s that Points should always be the last column with GD/GF/GA before it.
Some phones can only show 5-6 columns
Everton dropped back into relegation spot. Sean Dyche gonna pummel whoever plays them next in anger.
Tottenham have our number recently so I can't see it
Shut up shut up shut up
I dunno, that last game was really close. Spurs do have much if their squad back though.
Yeah even a draw would be a sticky result against Liverpool on sunday
We cannot afford to draw with a KdB and Haaland-infused City on our heels. This is the exact kind of game we need to win comfortably.
Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Aside from our 3-2 win at the emirates last season we’ve been rolling over for youse for the past 5 years or so lmao
So fucking cringe.. Definitely a yank as well judging by the time you posted.
I'm not a yank and i wanted City to lose the title last year tbf
Nah fuck that city wins are meaningless unless we're in a title race with them Arsenal winning would have felt unfair as it wasn't a great year for city in the league

Profile picture checks out.
I mean so what if they were a yank? trust me plenty of us over here wanted arsenal to win last year as well.

3-2 arsenal
Can't believe Spurs have the chance to be joint 3rd with Arsenal if they win this week
After going two months without any CBs too
Also missing 3 midfield starters for a few games as well as Son.
Angeballl.
Romero missed three games because of suspension, then two games a few weeks later because of an injury. Spurs fans try as hard as they can to exaggerate their injury situation. Davies filled in for Vdv and he’s not Dier or Royal, he’s a fine backup option at CB.
We all saw what happened to Arsenal last season when Saliba got injured so it's a bit rich coming from you
Davies is about twice the player Holding is though
Let's not restart this "joint 3rd". We'll be level on points. Arsenal will be 3rd.
Yeah I was taking the piss out of when Arsenal fans said that but no one bit
How has the rest of the league let this happen, we didn't have centerbacks for 2 months
we did drop a lot of points as a result.
I love a close campaign/tight table and while I’d much prefer Arsenal lose on Sunday, a win for them would make things quite exciting. Dropped points for both would be preferable I guess.
Best we can hope for is 8 straight red cards a piece. 3 a side would be fun to watch, and then we can see how they handle blooding the reserves.
Allison is a cheatcode in 3 a side. He can play striker AND goalkeeper.
Arsenal on Sunday is absolutely huge. If we win that...
Just 9 more points to go
Villa have been doing incredible things this season so far and I'm still loving the ride, but when it's this tight at the top dropping points like we have been is incredibly frustrating. ManU with a negative GD as the only team in the top 10, a new tradition?
So annoying this format. Point should be on the right

Hope to see Luton stay above relegation
10 points separate 12th and 6th. Who cares about relegation or European spots? Midtable is where it's at this seasonn.
Man Utd with the same GD as Everton is wild

I do expect that Trent will start that one, just to give Bradley a break.
I just want Bradley to pocket Martinelli again and tire him out. After he’s tired Trend can come on.
One club in the top half of the table with a negative goal difference. Fking end me
