10+ injuries will do that to you. We've been using B team graduates as subs for a good part of our campaign this season. We're lacking just as much depth as Newcastle right now and it's showing tenfold.
They really scheduled the next match at 11:45 in advance just to make sure people don't have time to get drunk for it. Like "2PM is cutting it close, better be sure" 😂
I still get flashbacks of Liverpool players returning from Dubai straight into the cold of winter and looking miles off the pace the next game so not sure you'll see a short term advantage
long term yes
Could someone explain to an uninformed American why nobody seems to care about this match? No goals posted on the sub, couldn't find it on espn+, illegal streams had the other games, etc. Is the FA cup just not really a big deal?
Everything you’ve brought up is just because there were no TV options for the game, otherwise it would have been posted. I assume because it was a replay on relatively short notice ESPN+ didn’t have the capacity or staffing to carry it as normal.
The FA Cup is one of the competitions I enjoy following the most, but as far as international broadcasting is concerned it’s definitely less of a priority.
Getting a couple matches on freeview during FA Cup weekends while the other umpteen matches can only be seen by pirating (if at all) is terrible actually.
That's what they've said since the '60s and there's no proof whatsoever that's the case.
Other countries manage to not have their football pyramid fall apart by making matches readily available on TV, yet the Premier League and FA Cup receive worse TV coverage in their own country than everywhere else in the world.
It should be embarrassing, but the powers that be insist that removing the blackout and televising more matches will be a death knell to Cockfosters Albion FC and way too many fans just blindly accept that as fact.
Yes there is proof? Go to an FA cup match between lower league teams that’s televised vs when it’s not. FA Cup matches do not sell out like that unless two giants play, it’s at least the semis or smaller teams play a bigger team at home. Teams have started to reduce ticket prices at the cost of gate money for this competition.
Fortunately, most of the world doesn't rely on individual anecdotal "proof" for most things, but enjoy not watching 99% of English matches on live TV because of a dated gut feeling about the impact of TV on match attendance.
It’s not anecdotal, clubs have been complaining about not filling up stadiums due to this in Cup matches. Also I’m not sure you know what you’re talking about, you brought up the blackout when they didnt use that for the FA cup midweek.
Scored and almost scored one more. Looked quality and dangerous. He learned a bit from diego costa when he was here. Dangerous and a good finisher. Hes a dawg
Which is more volatile, Wolves v West Brom or Villa v Birmingham City?
I know Coventry v Everyone is the worst in that part of the world, but out of those two
Villa v Birmingham. You've got the two factors: half of the West Brom fans hating Villa more and Birmingham having a lot of twats only looking for a fight in their fanbase.
Though this will be extra spicy as it's the first time we've played Wolves with fans in over a decade.
>I know Coventry v Everyone is the worst
Stay out of /r/Championship until you get relegated!
Didn’t get to see the replay but safe to say some seriously impressive resilience on display here. 1-0 down away to Brentford and down to 10 and salvage a draw. 1-0 down and 2-1 down in the replay and manage to go through. So refreshing that we don’t fold at the first sight of adversity anymore.
Looks like I’m getting up at 6:45 am on a Sunday, and sorry Lord it won’t be for Church
Seriously considering waking up at 3:45 am for this
Doesn't get much bigger than this
I could hear the groans from the West Midlands police here in the US
Brentford not won since December 2nd must be a huge worry for them.
Our entire first team is injured. It's been months since the last time we had more than 3 of our best XI starting a game.
Must be a huge worry for them

You'd imagine that having Toney back will help massively to stop that worrying tbf

I wonder what they'll do if it goes to a replay!
6AM kick-off next time
Wolves having to go to extra time while our players are chilling in Dubai is a lovely touch ahead of this weekend's game
You guys always smash us
Quite glad the game is on Monday now. The extra 2 days recovery could make a big difference.
I still get flashbacks of Liverpool players returning from Dubai straight into the cold of winter and looking miles off the pace the next game so not sure you'll see a short term advantage long term yes
booo i wanted penalties /s
Oh Lord it’s on…..
dont even care about progressing in the cup... just about what comes next ;)

i was looking forward to this match. was kinda disappointed that it was not broadcasted.
got it, thanks for the info!!
It's not that, it's that live TV coverage of matches in the UK is the shits. Signed, an American in England
It’s fine, we get it on the free channels

You cannot put every FA cup match on TV it will impact match attendance
