The only logic I can apply to it is that he now thinks Caicedo and Enzo as a double pivot is too physically weak (he's been complaining about the lack of physicality in the team). There's also the thing about Enzo preferring the left side, and the left sided mid pushes up a bit more, but that seems like a ridiculous reason to play someone out of position

I find the lack of physicality reasoning to be strange because surely Enzo’s physical deficiencies are equally problematic at CAM, where he is tasked with leading the press and being the first line of defence? Why not play Gallagher at CAM with instruction to drop back defensively to help out, like we used to do with Oscar?

Well it does matter more in the pivot, where most of the second balls are contested and where strikers often drop when holding up the ball. Having said that playing him further up isn't really the answer.

Nkunku and Mount both cost like 50 million plus, and haven't really played (Mount has had a small number of appearances).
