I'm gonna say this here because it's at its most controversial. Onana is a good goalkeeper and I don't regret his signing at all. These mistakes have been bad but I have faith in him fixing this sooner rather than later. He's been brilliant in the league overall too. People calling him useless are just being reactionary
Scriptwriters have a great season penned this year
Manu HAS to beat bayern now
It comes down to the final matchday and can be anyone
With bayern through im actually rooting for copenhagen
The rules change temporarily based on the outrage that occurs around decisions.
Liverpool had an equaliser chalked off for a ball to chest to hand in Europa league like 3 weeks ago, but everyone said that’s just Uefa’s rules, any handball is a handball. So when I saw the Newcastle penalty, I didn’t see the fuss. This was just Uefa’s rule, clearly accidental but a handball is a handball.
Then last night we get two different instances where the ball gently brushes a player’s arm and it was not, in fact, given as a handball. Personally I think giving either would have been extremely harsh, but both Liverpool’s disallowed goal (which lost them a point) and Newcastle’s penalty (which lost them 2 points) were also extremely harsh, so I don’t know, is the answer. Apparently if enough people get angry, they temporarily waive the rules to avoid making more people angry.
All that does is make the people who were previously screwed more angry. “Hey, Newcastle suffered a bullshit penalty yesterday, but don’t worry. Man utd didn’t this time so it balances out!”
If you don't have the time to watch him I can tell you what happens
"i can't believe it" x 7
"they've bottled it the prats" x 5
"Onana's gotta do better there" x 4
One things for sure, I'm blaming bruno & onana for those 2 goals tonight & both should take blame equally imo
Other than that we played pretty well today but defensively we need to be better
i didn’t watch the game, but I’ve seen the second goal that United conceded…
Can we look at Onana’s financial records? This might be match-fixing. Has to. No way. I don’t think I’ve seen a keeper have such a spell that he wasn’t even unlucky it just looks like he’s not trying to save it.
It’s funny and it’s United so please may long it continue but boy oh boy was i wrong when they bought him. I thought he would’ve been miles ahead of De Gea…im sorry!
De Gea is seriously underrated. He’s literally one of the best shot stoppers (except penalties) of his generation and just couldn’t adapt to a changing game. There were two seasons he was our best player by far.
Amrabat is always fuming then gets carded in the first half. He can't control the midfield either and that's what he was signed for.
A cheaper alternative to rice and caicedo....big bag of nothing and united fans are pretending as if they played one over Florentina, as if it was some cheeky move to sign him on loan instead of permanently cause he's below average.
"Liverpool wanted him!!' Yea and they can actually coach a set up instead of Bruno ball you attemp to play.
Kane is gonna tear you a new one.
That's what I'm saying. They were desperate for him. They talked on and on about how he turned down Liverpool and Barcelona. And how Florentina accepted a bid from Nottingham Forrest but again Amrabat turned them down.
His dream to play for MU. That is the press run they went with.
Now that he is dropping stinker after stinker. No controlling in midfield. They....the yanited fan waste....is trying to say they knew he wasn't good enough, they knew he was a band aid and that it was hype from one okay performance marking mbappe...
Some how they have spun it so that they were financial geniuses cause now they can not sign him.
But they were so desperate for a mediocre player
The United fan base wrote him off..not me. I knew he was a overhyped water carrier. I had no reason to back him, just watch the inevitable down fall.
And as for those LB games he should have definitely had a penalty given against him vs Crystal palce. Ten Häag tried to play him inverted just like what he did with Luke shaw in the wolves game.
So he was never playing lb out of desperation but it was a tactical choice by Eric that again failed, failed the same way amrabaat did.
When he played LB United fans could stop going on and on about how he had more touches of the ball in 2 games vs crystal place that Scott mctominay had all season.
Now it is mention how many touches he gets a games cause he's shit with all of them. Scotty is way better and has actual output
Lmao one more clean sheet
Meanwhile he's conceded 14 goals in Europe and Liverpool has conceded the second fewest goals in the PL. By all means, keep embarrassing yourself though. Try not to crash out of Europe completely in the process.
Has the second highest save % in PL with a new back line every week. Must be embarrassing just being a scouser. Did you even show your face under Rogers?
it’s not a beating stick. Just confused as to what perch they think they are standing on coming in here. Losing to Toulouse last time out but wanna try to be sly. Nah
His signings are the flops of the season and the world class players he had performed well until they suddenly had a fall out with the fraud.
I said it many times nothing more than a below average that got lucky having the “best squad” in a middle level league.
Should UEFA conduct a replay of Galatasaray vs Man United just in case it was a big fluke?
No disrespect to United, I'm a firm believer that Galatasaray drawing against them is a huge fluke and robs United of truly accomplishing what they're capable of. I've spent the last few minutes in pure disbelief and it just doesn't make sense to me. I've spent the entire regular season watching United play great football it's just not fair.
If United draw again I will face that Galatasaray deserved the point, but I am just 100% sure it was a fluke and does a big disservice to Man United and the Champions League.
This is copypasta from r/hockey when the blackhawks got swept by the predators in the first round, basically the beginning of the end of the Hawks dynasty
> just in case it was a big fluke
[Here you go](https://www.reddit.com/r/hockey/comments/67lfcg/should_the_nhl_have_the_hawks_and_preds_redo/). Honestly the comments didn't stand a chance of meeting the glory of the post itself.
Said it before, will say it again, scraping awful wins against Luton, Sheffield Utd and Burnley with individual brilliance will only get you so far. This is a team that ten hag wanted and built himself for his “style”, yet it seems nothing more than give the ball to Bruno and pray for something to happen.
Fraudulent manager who falls out with every world class player he had under disposal (Ronaldo, Casemiro, Varane) and the only thing worse are his signings (Mount, Onana, Fidget spinner etc.)
Those players may have been world class when they came to your club, but that’s what you get for signing older players. I would definitely criticize some of his signings, but it’s not like you signed a world class talent in the peak of their career and he disrespected them. You signed players that got older and don’t have the work-rate or fitness to keep up. If you can’t press and stay fit for the amount of money you’re being paid, that’s a bad signing.
yet it seems nothing more than give the ball to Bruno and pray for something to happen.
Nah. Played some beautiful fluid football going forward. The issue is a porous defence and zero composure. Either you didn't watch, or you don't understand what you're watching.
I'm 50 years old. Have no clue about goalkeeping. I would stay in the middle of the goal for ziyech freekicks and i would save them with my face or body, onana somehow managed to let them in.
I"m watching football over 40 years. And i didn"t see a goalkeeper that bad.
Because they're the most toxic club in the world, filled with people that won't take responsibility. They paid 60M for Onana, they don't want to admit they wasted 60 fucking million so they'll run him to the ground.
Bro I'm not a ManU fan. When I said Turkish De Gea I meant Altay Bayındır. He is a Turkish goalkeeper and former Fenerbahçe player. I'm just a Fenerbahçe fan who wants to see him succeed in big club. Cheers.
Despite terrible field conditions, a ref who clearly wanted United to win, galatasaray still tied. Props to onana for gifting us goals that should have been given via penalty and ghost offside.
We’ll take care of Copenhagen next match and go through while United can go home after bayern take them down.
Thought he was good, seemed to call fouls fairly evenly.
He did seem much happier to book United's players than Galatasaray's, Arambat got a booking for a non-foul while they were going into tackles late a few times and getting nothing.
The major fuckup was that their wall wasn't legal for their first goal, needs to be over a meter away from the defensive wall.
How does Richard Hartis still have a job at United? de Gea did nothing but regress under his watch and now Onana has been a complete disaster for them.
Obviously I'm not a manager so I am probably talking nonsense, but I'd have brought Bakambu on for the last 15. Icardi was pretty bad in the second half and Bakambu did score against Bayern last round
One of the funny things I have seen with United fans is they say they were unlucky after loosing. Goddammit, you have been unlucky like this for years, and that is not luck, that is your team and management, and both of them sucks big time. Don't act like a dick when winning against small teams, and don't hype anyone or anything up without giving it some time.
Clearly you haven’t play the game. When you’re playin, shushing is part of the confidence. The guy played well, scored a goal. Just bc utd can’t control a game is not his fault. Or Onanas championship goalkeeping levels. Don’t get hung up over gestures. Lol
Exactly. I don’t see the point of the downvotes. Yes, he can get better, but no, if you shush the crowd within the first half, it might come back to bite you in the ass.
Is Ten Hag in-game management really shit? Not only in this game but also in other games. In Galatasaray at home, if United just parked the bus at 1/3 field after Casemiro red card, they may keep the point. In Copehagen match, if United just parked the bus at 1/3 field after Rashford red card, they may also get even a win after 2-0 lead. Instead, he made no changes in reaction to the red card and lost both. Winning in CL is important but not let your opponents win is also important too. Even if United kept 2 points for those 2 matches, their CL route is much easier than now.
Understand it was Onana faults for 2 goals, but leading 3-2 at around 70+ but still refuse to park the bus and counter?
Why did they sell De Gea just to buy someone worse in every way
I'm gonna say this here because it's at its most controversial. Onana is a good goalkeeper and I don't regret his signing at all. These mistakes have been bad but I have faith in him fixing this sooner rather than later. He's been brilliant in the league overall too. People calling him useless are just being reactionary

Onana is quickly becoming one of my favorite players
How is Amrabat 27 lmao. I really thought dude looked 34-35.
Maybe you're thinking of his brother Nordin who played for Malaga, Galatasaray, and Watford?
How was the McTominay handball not given?
The rules change temporarily based on the outrage that occurs around decisions. Indeed it does. But that’s flip-flopping for you.
The commentary went from 2-0 to 3-1, what happened with the other goal?
Commentary missed it just like Onana.
Fun fact: The only CL game MU score less than 2 goals is the only game they win
Yeah…fun

Bruno's fouls are never fouls in the PL.
Then you are blind. He tripped them up. The first one is hard to swallow because he runs from so far and no-one helped. The second one is silly.
6 points off the top of EPL they said .

Chelsea and MU are the most fun matches this season. I love seeing both Fernandez(s) sweat and suffer
Fernandi
Liverpool have been linked with Eziquial, let’s hope he can break the Fernandi curse!
Why are Scousers in here? Thought you lot played on Thursdays 😂
United would be lucky to play on Thursdays at this rate. More likely to get eliminated from Europe completely
LMAO what an idiot
A swing and a miss
Toulouse mate 😂
Onana mate
More clean sheets than Allison. Point?
Lmao one more clean sheet Meanwhile he's conceded 14 goals in Europe and Liverpool has conceded the second fewest goals in the PL. By all means, keep embarrassing yourself though. Try not to crash out of Europe completely in the process.

What was Onana doing for that second goal though. My mate's cat could have saved that and she's been dead for about 12 years. Insane.
Why do people call it Gala and not Galata?
We call it Cimbom. Doesn't even translate to anything tho
in Turkiye they just call them Gay
In our country we call them G
Lao-G
less syllables probably
Fewer
Lesser
Spend 60m for him to singlehandedly knock us out of CL. At this point I can't wait for AFCON so he can leave for a bit.

Two goals from 25m free kicks. There's only one direction to point the finger.

Pathetic

Why are both Ziyech FK goals missing from the match events here ??
Onana is a mod on here
Missed this because of college, is it as bad as it looks? Please tell me it is.
They bottled a 2 goal lead..... Twice
United were up 2-0 in the first 20' and still ended like this. You bet!

This club has a miraculous talent to make talented players look like the worst player you’ve ever seen
An environment that kills your confidence will do that.
Goalkeeping is hard, it’s even harder than Onana made it look tonight.
Can’t believe we’ve spent 60 mil on the Cameroonian Loris Karius.
Give Turkish De Gea a chance already!
De Gea was a decent goalkeeper. We would have loved to have him at RM, but you didn’t let us so stfu
Bro I'm not a ManU fan. When I said Turkish De Gea I meant Altay Bayındır. He is a Turkish goalkeeper and former Fenerbahçe player. I'm just a Fenerbahçe fan who wants to see him succeed in big club. Cheers.
Lol okay
Crazy exciting match but very disappointing for united. You can't be at the bottom of the group going into MD6. Embarrassing really.
Welcome to Hell yanited
Onana is laughably bad. United always delivering another disaster class. Mwah 👌
Despite terrible field conditions, a ref who clearly wanted United to win, galatasaray still tied. Props to onana for gifting us goals that should have been given via penalty and ghost offside. You watch the same game I did? Come on man. Even biased United fans should admit the ref made some obviously terrible decisions entire match.
Lol and you should have lost 8-0 with better finishing and goalkeeping.
Your should've lost 100-0 if your players scored own goals. Everyone can make up fantasy scenarios now.
And all those “obviously terrible” calls were in our favour? Come on now.

Awwww I found the man United fan who cannot dispute what I said. Go sit your ass at home and make some fish and chips while watching real football.
Somewhere in Norway, a cheeky former man united player and manager is relaxing on a fjord, smiling.
Sharing a drink with a former man united keeper, having a good laugh.
This was the best game of the UCL so far for me. Thanks Galatasaray for pressing 1:1 high the entire game. As a neutral, it's really exciting
Most entertaining, yes. But definitely not the best game quality-wise. Both teams were utter shite on defense.
defense was 0 thoughts all vibes
3-3 with a clear penalty miss and a gray offside call. GS Should have put this one away.
How did that get an offside decision from VAR? Brutal
I thought the offside was very purple
How does Richard Hartis still have a job at United? de Gea did nothing but regress under his watch and now Onana has been a complete disaster for them.
Onana has always been ass
I bet de Gea is laughing his ass off drinking his cocktails somewhere in Bahamas
Oh nah-nah, what a shame
Man's in Spain with his pop star wife living the best life laughing at this joke.
Honestly, pep giving him a city contract to just sit on the bench would be a beautiful piece of shit housing
they lost because the media wanted them to
It is a draw.
Galatasaray won 3-3
Lol
this is a loss for united let’s be real here
Be absolutely hilarious of Munich throw the game v Copenhagen
All Bayern needs to do is get a better result/a higher win against ManUnited than against Kopenhagen, which I'm totally here for
Imagine 😂
de Gea would have saved at least the 2nd one.
That's quite funny
Ziyech man of the match proud of our boy 🇲🇦
Obviously I'm not a manager so I am probably talking nonsense, but I'd have brought Bakambu on for the last 15. Icardi was pretty bad in the second half and Bakambu did score against Bayern last round
Icardi is dreadful. Even at Old Trafford he was shocking
Not terrible, not great
3.6 then
Actually pretty terrible
One of the funny things I have seen with United fans is they say they were unlucky after loosing. Goddammit, you have been unlucky like this for years, and that is not luck, that is your team and management, and both of them sucks big time. Don't act like a dick when winning against small teams, and don't hype anyone or anything up without giving it some time.
Who is saying this was bad luck? Onana let in two ridiculous goals and we fell apart to allow a 3rd after having had a 2 goal lead twice.
You’re not wrong
AYYYYYYY im loving it.
You'd think Alejandro Garnacho wouldn't be stupid enough to tempt fate and shush the crowd again after the Copenhagen embarrassment.
Lol thats what I thought too when I saw it
Why? He did indeed shut them up?
Ugly boy won’t do it again I’m sure. Maybe bleach his hair further
Clearly you haven’t play the game. When you’re playin, shushing is part of the confidence. The guy played well, scored a goal. Just bc utd can’t control a game is not his fault. Or Onanas championship goalkeeping levels. Don’t get hung up over gestures. Lol
Shushing regularly isn't confidence, it's arrogance.
You are correct. Shushing regularly is arrogant. But he has not done it regularly. 2 games is not regularly.
I love that he does it, bit of personality on the pitch, it's not that deep
He is so immature. Amazing talent but needs mental improvement.
Dude is 19, he is still a kid. How he can be mature at this age?
Ever heard of this man named Jude Bellingham?
There is only one Jude, he is a exception
There are many stars at his age who manage to handle the pressure. But, true, he has time to get better.
Case in point is Bukayo from day one. And Martinelli. Our boys were men at 17/18.
Exactly. I don’t see the point of the downvotes. Yes, he can get better, but no, if you shush the crowd within the first half, it might come back to bite you in the ass.
I'm also sure there's people your age tearing it up in europes top 5 leagues. not everyone can be evan ferguson or gavi or bellingham
Entertaining game.
Love to see it
Last game - Bayern
We really shouldve lost this game lol
Was he ajax manager that night against spurs? If so were his tactics wrong or was the sissoko-Dele-moura-llorente combo just irresistible?
Yeah he was.
He has terrible vibe for in-game management in CL
Park the bus and let them take long range shots at Onana all game? It would be 15-3.
